Lived here since the summer of 2017. The cost for an apartment in this area is going to be high but charging for all of the extras such as garage parking $100, to guarantee a spot (parking is horrible and lots of cars are simply abandoned and are not towed to allow actual residents to park). They need to enforce parking permits and/or tow. Too many reserve spaces for ups and spa salon which take whole side of apartment building. If you park on the other side and walk a mile to your apartment you are fine. If you park in these business spaces during open hours, they will tow you. Charging for tiny and I mean tiny storage space for $25. $50 pet fee rent is very high. I only paid $30 at my previous apartment. You will be paying an extra $150 for all of the utilities such as electric, water, sewer, trash, gas etc. Not counting tv and Internet cost. Read the fine print because each of these utilities are billed differently depending on size of apartment and/or actual usage. Every month so far our sewer is more than our water portion. How can you dispose of more water than comes out of your faucet? Amenities fee is a joke and costs to much. Only has a pool and outdated gym. Good items are secured building, but anyone will let anyone in without asking who they are there for. Also concierge is great for everything and package deliveries.

Love it. Updates are needed but I love the building would love a better gym and better coffe shop and yoga Dog play area. More closets, more storage and free storage and better bike room that??™s all I have to say.

The apartment is lovely, well maintained and well cared for. My unit is spacious and the finishings are high quality. The staff is friendly and professional and the public areas are nice. I am proud to have friends come visit me here.

The Ashby is dedicated to service to tenants. The tenants are very friendly. It is very quiet. It has all needed amenities and is in a great neighborhood for conveniences. The conceierge desk takes good care of us.

everything regarding the community has been exceptional. Staff is terrific, very professional and accommodating. i feel totally safe and secure. my apartment is extremely quiet and comfortable. i love living at the Ashby of McLean.

The Ashby is clean, well-maintained, and generally quiet. The staff are very courteous and friendly. There are frequent community events that help create and friendly atmosphere. The Ashby is conveniently located in central McLean, near banks, supermarkets and the post office.

I love being able to walk to everything !!! The property is clean, friendly, safe and most accommodating. Whenever I have needed anything, people have gone out of their way to make things happen. I many times feel like I am on vacation all the time. Especially in the spring/ summer with the pool open.

The staff whom I contacted initially to tour the property was professional and knowledgable. The application process was straightforward and quick. The property is located in downtown McLean so it's convenient to everything from Metro bus and Fairfax Connector stops, Metro stops, shopping malls, doctors officers, any local grocery stores, to easy access to Washington, D.C. and Maryland. The apartment is well maintained and clean. Maintenance staff fixes reported problems in a timely manner. No nuisance noises or loud music after quiet hours.

Everything has been great -- from setting up the lease to move in day, the staff has been helpful. That service has continued over the last few years. I'm glad I chose the Ashby for my new home. I look forward to being a resident for some time.

This is a well-maintained property. Friendly community. Staff is superb. Feels like a condo property. It is very quiet. Never hear my or on either side. The maintenance department is superb. Very glad I chose this property. And, having looked at many buildings in Northern VA, this was absolutely the best value.

This place has gotten very expensive. Pool closes too early at 8 pm which is hard if you get home at 7 pm to get swim in and less time for socializing. Need to do more things for singles in the common area.

i am happy with my apt but I would like the extra costs such as pets, storage , flooring to be included and not extras. my apt has gotten expensive having to pay $50 for storage, $50 for pet, $50 for the floor etc. its' a reason to move. most places have these included.

moved in May 2016. moving experience was exceptional better than any other place I have ever moved in or out. my daily living experience is exceptional better than I have at any other residents complex that I live parking is exceptional I don't ever have a problem finding a spot even when I come home very late at night. The apartment the appliances the HVAC the instant hot water the water pressure all are above expectations it's a wonderful place to live

Since moving to the DMV area several years ago, I have found The Ashby to offer the most amenities for the lowest rental price while sitting in close proximity to the District as well as NOVA. The staff have consistently proven to be helpful and inviting, and the property and common areas are well maintained and always clean. Aside from this, the residents are kind and maintain a good sense of community.

I love living here but I don't like the way prices change Daily and the punishment fee for wanting to move from One apt to another during lease time. Seems you could transfer the lease and not charge $2k to do that. Ridiculous charge

I love everything about this place and plan to stay here forever if possible. I live here with my two boys and they absolutely love it. Mr. Lee and Gemma in the deli downstairs are the nicest people ever and are fantastic at making a cheesesteak. They make excellent breakfast as well and everything is reasonably priced. Very nice gym to workout in and a great entertaining spot for my friends and I. Very nice staff and always clean

Very pleased with my move to The Ashby in McLean. Convenient location for me in relationship to other family members; great access to 123/GW parkway for daily commute to DC; size of my unit with balcony provides all that I need.

It's a quiet place to live and management does a pretty good job of taking care of any problems fairly quickly. The only problem I've had is when I turned in my move-in checklist they didn't read through it to see if there was anything they could fix.

I moved into the Ashby in August 2016 and thus far my experience has been absolutely fabulous. The Ashby is conveniently located within walking distance to numerous restaurants, markets, and small businesses. The lobby of the Ashby is classy??”like 1920s classy??”and always smells of fresh roses. The concierge, staff, and residents are all friendly and kind. My newly renovated apartment has an industrial, steampunk modern vibe. The hardwood floors make it easy to keep clean and the high-quality, energy saving appliances are wonderful. I've never lived in such a hip apartment.

I love my apartment so far. It meets my criteria in terms of size, convenience, and etc. The maintenance people have been working well and fulfilled my requests on a timely manner. The property managers have been helpful and welcoming so far. The only downside is the fitness center. I wish it opens 24 hours amd has better equipments.
