from my first move in day when I walked into the office and all my papers were neatly compiled in an envelope, to having the freight elevator reserved for my move only, to the spotless condition of the unit Malone me wonder if I was the first ever occupant, to the continued greeting at the door by the staff, the list goes on and on. really, I can't believe I am living in such a first class community. me, Jeff from Pittsburgh. I have finally someone special living at the Ashby in McLean.

        While the price may be steep for most, the property is located along a bus route leading to metro (McLean), making it very convenient for commuters. There are also several local businesses within walking distance, including a grocery store, restaurants and shops. The neighborhood is very safe and I have enjoyed many walks at all hours of the night, and never felt uncomfortable.

          I love living here for all the reasons stated. I think it would Be better to have a smaller price increase if we wanted a two Bedroom instead of one. The increase seems unbalanced To me and the closets need better shelving. Other than that it's wonderful. Oh and better attn to snow storms

            Great, until they took away my washer and dryer and replaced it with the combo unit, which is a much inferior product. There's no reason the junior one-bedrooms couldn't have the normal stack unit like the larger apartments got.

              Content so far- the closet doors stick and the windows are drafty but it's a clean and convenient community with good amenities and friendly neighbors. I like the area and haven't had an issue with parking, mail, or payments.

                Modern looking interior. Safe and nice neighborhood. Competitive monthly rentals. Well insulated walls and floors. Convenient to public transportation, airports, grocery stores, shopping malls, medical offices, post office, etc.

                  Overall very good experience. No complaints. No problems with noise/ loud music. Fellow occupants are well mannered and courteous. Maintenance requests are addressed in a timely manner. Office staff are wonderful people and always willing to help. Location is very good. 5 mins drive to Tysons Corner Mall. There are multiple restaurants (Japanese, Italian, Indian, Chinese) and a Giant within walking distance.

                    Adrian is very understanding about any issue presented. His staff is super. Debbie goes above and beyond to make everyone happy. Even if an issue is brought to her attention after hours, she is there to take care of it.

                      actually moved in in 2016, but the form did not have that option. Maintenance does work fast. Only problem I see is wood laminate floors. Not sure what to write so I have to keep writing words till it will submit.

                        ALEX from the Maintenance Staff at the Ashby of McLean is the most efficient and professional member. He is most courteous when he enters being careful not to make a mess. He works quickly and quietly - I hardly knew he was in the apartment. The entire staff here at the Ashby at McLean is always so helpful and eager to offer assistance. I do love so much living here. ALEX will always be your go to guy for any help you need - he's the best.

                          I would like to commend Adrian A. DelCid and his crew for the superb job they did clearing the snow from the Ashby parking lot in the recent snow storm/blizzard. Also Debbie Tenery was extremely helpful in solving problems after the storm. As a 10-year resident of The Ashby, I value and the appreciate the dedication, efficiency, and friendliness of these two people.

                            This place is terrible. Do not live here. It may seem fine on the outside, but after living here for 2 months I wish I could move back to my budget garden style apartment in little Mexico/India. The facade put on by the staff and the few highlights they choose to show you is dishonest and a slap in the face to whoever they lure in. Parking: good lucking finding a spot anywhere near the building. HVAC: can't even tell if the heater or AC is blowing, just neutral air. Windows: cheap blinds and cold air just blows right through. Water: goes from cold to lukewarm. Amenities: I've seen prisons equipped with better "gyms". And it closes at 10pm which is ridiculous. Noise: if you're not on the top floor have fun with that. Trash: if you live within 10 units of the trash chute (located only on one end of the entire building) your hallway will smell like a dumpster. Staff: who the hell is in charge of hiring? These people are not helpful, it felt like they were looking at me for answers. This one might be my biggest complaint. Don't waste your time. The residents may seem nice and friendly but I feel sorry for what they have to deal with. Especially since most of them are too elderly to care.

                              I have been most impressed with the community feel. Residents are friendly and often congregate in the lobby to chat with each other. The staff goes out of their way to make it a friendly, welcoming place to live. While I moved in for convenience and location, I would recommend it to others!

                                Just moved in and everyone I've talked to who lives here love it. Feels very safe. The folks in the rental office are wonderful. Ester and Debbie especially. Things are fixed very quickly. It is nice they accept pets. Can't wait for the pool to open...

                                  Not a community feel There are no community activities and functions. Communication about maintenance issues doesn't exist. Emails to the office go unanswered. Repairs take multiple times to fix and there is in follow up. Windows are old and drafty.

                                    Everything's fine. I have no comments, but I can't get off this screen. Surveys make me buggy. Is that a comment? Wish the people who had worked at the desk were still here. They were very nice and had been here a long time. We could relie on them. It will take a while to develop the same affection for the new ones.

                                      The upstairs neighbors are EXTREMELY noisy at all hours, as I finish this survey it is 11:15 pm and they are stomping around. This is a constant occurance. The concierge is very nice to have and the assistance with the mail is very much appreciated. I have stated I would NOT recommend this community if the noise between the upstairs apartment continues.

                                          Nice but costly. In addition to some of the highest rents in the country, I wasn't told about the $400 amenity fee until the day before I moved in. The apartments on the south side have a much better view than the north side units. However, this is a clean and comfortable apartment building.

                                              The ladies in the leasing office seem very disorganized when it comes to collecting fees and processing lease paperwork correctly. Old DSL internet infrastructure is slow. Windows are older, drafty, singlepane. Building seems quiet so far.

                                                Very nice staff and great family environment. Walkable to shopping.! The are nice big hallways and indoor trash chute. Also you can mail and pick up mail from inside the building. Everything is kept very clean and staff is very friendly. Good place

                                                  The Ashby @ McLean has been a great apartment complex in every way during my 10 year residence here. All staff and support are excellent and professional Amenities and location are also superb. Most community features are within walking distance in this fine, safe and friendly community...like a cozy small VA town but only a few miles from all the features of Tysons Corner (shopping, Metro, restaurants, beltway and much more). It would be difficult to find a much better area to live in!
