I lived at Lancaster Mill Apartment for two years and I had a great experience. My neighbors were great and I never had an issue with none of them. I remember when I was there they did the plumbing project it was not a hassle at all. I never had a roach problem. I kept my one bedroom clean. And the office staff was very nice. I dealt with Sophia must of the time she was always great. Manager well she was not there a lot of times. But the property was always in good condition. The maintenance guys were slow in some things but otherwise I never really had any big issues. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to live in a nice place and close to I-95. I left because I bought a house otherwise I would still be there. Plenty of parking

I lived her for about 2 years... And my experience was negative. We had multiple issues with the complex and the managements response. Often times the maintence guy (theo) would enter our apartment without knocking. So, I'd exit the shower and there was someone inside fixing something! We notified Megan at the front desk and she said this was a common complaint and that it would be addressed, but no results. We also had very loud neighbors living below us, of which they had at least 4-5 adults living there plus their children. We also had another neighbor who was wanted for assault by local PWC police. The BIGGEST ISSUE for us was the ROACH problem. We kept our apartment spotless and always made sure no food was left on the counter tops or floor. The roaches continued to come and worsen, so we broke our lease because the management refused to do anything about the situation. They would use a company that never really helped. We were told they would try to contain the issue but likely couldn't eliminate it because of our neighbors. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. If you want ROACHES everywhere, creepy loud neighbors and nice but unproductive front desk then this place is for you!

I have lived at Lancaster mill apartments in Woodbridge for a little over 6 months. I actually had to move out to be closer to work though. The front office staff is wonderful. I dealt with mostly Sophia and any problems that I had in the apartments were quickly resolved through maintenance. The complex is pretty quiet which I liked because it was peaceful. The area is also close to Potomac Mills so the shopping area is nearby as well as 95 being very close also. There is always ample parking, and the spaces are pretty wide also. The neighbors are usually not too loud and the apartments are pretty spacious for being 1 bedrooms. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to move to Woodbridge.

I lived directly across from the leasing office and overall there was nothing to really omplain about except for the roach issue i had when they did the remodel of the pipes in every apartment, but I took care of this myself with some boric acid and roach spray. The staff is great and helpful, the community is clean, maintance was there to fix any issues and the apartments have a nice layout. Like in any apartment the walls are thin so the upstairs neighbors were annoying expecially late at night when your trying to sleep and at times a ceiling knock would let them know to quiet down.

Overall our experience with living in Lancaster Mills was okay. The office management was very friendly and helpful, and maintenance fixed any needs we had right away. Although we had trouble with the neighbors above us when living there. I understand couples get their groove on, but my husband and I heard the bed squeeking almost every night! One day I had to bang a broom stick on the ceiling because it was so annoying. I think they also had kids running around up there and my husband knocked on the door for the them to keep it down, but the lady acted like she couldn't understand him or speak english. Then I walked upstairs and then she spoke english, mmhhhmmm...Lastly there was a leak in the apartment on the top floor during winter time from the big snow storm in '09. After that we started to get big cockroaches in our apartment because they like damp places. One night i walked into the living room and a big fat one ran over my foot, ew!!! They did come out to spray certain areas of the house, but the nasty critters wouldn't go away! I do know what's worse, roaches or cockroaches :-/ I started to vacumm the things up because it was digusting killing them and you hear a crunching sound and makes a mess, yuck. I never lived with those bugs before so it was so disgusting and was getting too ridiculous. I was praying one night and felt one crawl over my leg, and then I looked over just to see the digusting critter sit by the wall ugh! Other than these issues we never had a problem with parking, no crime (not that we heard of) and the the community was well kept. I would still recommend Lancasting Mills because not every building may be filled with the issues we had.

A great place to start...
Originally moved to VA in 2008, stayed in Lancaster Mills up until it was time to buy a home. There really is very little to complain about in Lancaster Mills, the staff is helpful, the community is clean, and the apartments have a nice layout.

Good Place To Live
I enjoyed my time at Lancaster Mill, and I would surely recommend it to others. The office staff was great! The apartments were nice as well as spacious. The maintenace was about average, but could easily be very good by applying a bit more attention to detail when work is done. Overall: Very good place to live! v/r N.A. Soares

A Home & then some!!
This apartment has been our home for the last 6 years. My wife and I both work north of Woodbridge with a commute that is very manageable. We live within walking distance of an elementary and middle school. We are also within minutes of great shopping venues, resturants and medical facilities. The apartment size is more than adequate for our family of 3. We have 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths that have come in handy with 2 femals in the home, a laundry room located in the apartment that makes doing the laundry more convienent and a kitchen that is well designed. In the 6 years of living here we have had no problems with roaches, rats or ants. The staff in at the leasing office has always been friendly and available. The maintenance staff is very efficient and knowledgeable when responding to emergency calls and any other maintenance issues that have arised. The leasing office staff has gone above and beyond to handle all problems we have encountered in a timely manner. We have been very happy and content with this apartment complex and we are proud to call it our home. We have and will continue to refer friends and family to live in this quiet and warm community.

Apartments and Customer Service
Good size apartments and a quiet area that is close to the I-95. 1-2 bed and baths offered. Maint. workers are nice and efficient but over tasked due to apartment aging. Staff is very nice, but with the results . . . what kind of work ethic do they really have? Well now that there isn't anything else that is good I'll move on. If you want to live here be prepared to have roaches, ants, mice, etc. Oh and if you do have any issues you need to be independent because you'll rarely catch the Leasing Office when they are actually there. The office will forward you to a non local management office that will only do anything in the case of an emergency and take "a note". Why the quotation? Because it NEVER gets back to the local leasing office so you just have to hope they actually come to work the next day.

Here 11 years and love living here!!
When I first moved here, I had intentions for stability for my 2 year old son at the time. I never thought I would still be here. But that goes to show you how much I love living here. It is somewhat quiet, ample parking, kind neighbors and good service from management and maintenance, who I know everyone by name. I have to say that Meghan our Property Manager has been very understanding and compassionate towards my situation, I lost my job two years ago, and she worked with me according to how I could pay my rent. I could never pay on time, but she understood and didn't make me feel bad. You won't get that from many Landlords. I do enjoy living here and do not look to moving anytime soon. Hope to see you here!

I have lived at Lancaster Mill Apartments for six months now. Ever since I moved in the entire staff, from maintenance to property managers, has made it a pleasant stay. One particular person who has made my stay a pleasant one is Liuva. She is always attendant to our needs whenever we have an issue with the apartment and is always very helpful.

We had an awesome experience here, its located near base, and much shopping. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly the entire time during our stay here. We never heard our neighbors, we didnt even know we had neighbors for a while. There are many dog parks if you have pets and a school is right next door if you have children. Parking was alway available for us and guests with no trouble at all. Overall we had a great experience and enjoyed our stay.

More for Less!!!
Lancaster Mill is not the greatest place to live on earth but they are much better than most places that are trying to be competitive in the woodbridge metropolitan area. Just like any apartment complex there will be some minor problems and some tenants will experience different problems than their neighbors encounter but Lancaster Mill has alot going for them that erase the minor instabilities such as a great staff and superb maintenance while serving extreme low traffic convenience to I-95, Potomac Mills Mall, Potomac Hospital, Woodbridge elementary and middle schools, immediate access to Prince William Parkway and these are just a few!! These apartments are old about 16-20 years old but considering the age of the apartments they are in good shape. There is a plethora of parking and even some households have 4 cars and have no problem with parking so thats great!! Lancaster Mill is also in the cut away from neighboring apartments and busy traffic districts so when you are home it is quiet and peaceful.. You cant ask for more than that. Tell me where in this area can you find a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom for less than 1300 a month? You guessed it Lancaster Mill!!

Love It Here
My family has lived here for almost 4 years and we are really happy here and luckly we have never had anything really bad happen to us or the apartment. When we first moved here my kids were mad because there is not a pool or a fitness room, but we never even think about it now. The price is perfect for the size of the apartment and we would have to pay more if they had all the other things that other places have(which they probably dont even use). My favorite thing is my walk in closet in my bedroom. It is HUGE. I really enjoy the office staff. I make sure I pay my rent in person because I like to visit with Megan and the new girl in the office. Megan seems to know everyone that lives here and always asks me how everything is in the apartment. Sometimes it gets busy but she will take the time to listen to me if I have to tell her about something that needs to get fixed. She is always smiling and really cares about the property and the people that live here. It was not like that with the other two girls that worked in the office when we moved in. My maintence stuff gets taken care of in time, but sometimes it takes a little bit longer than I think it should, but it still gets fixed. Megan sends out memos about keeping the property clean and to make sure we clean up after our dogs, I just wish some people would do it. But at least the office is trying. If you are looking for a small property but big apartments for a good price you should definetly move here. Also, there is plenty of parking. Our friends like to visit us because they can park right in front of our building and dont have to worry about getting towed or getting a visitor pass. MOVE HERE

Its not as bad as other places!!
My husband and I moved here almost a year ago. The price was great and the apartment really isn't as bad as it should be. I'm sure the property is more than 15-20 years old. I had a couple of issues when I first moved in but they were taken care of right away. Megan is great. She has always been great with my husband and I. I think the biggest issue I have right now would be the snow removal. I know they did the best they could but they didn't come out to the property to actually get the snow off of the ground in the parking lot for a couple of days. Yes, the snow was INSANE!! but people still had to get to work. Other than that it isn't bad. I would recommend this place to someone if they were looking!

poor air quality
I just moved into lancaster mill apartments on the 1st of Feb 2010. I have asthma. I have not had an asthma attack in over four years. UNTIL i moved into lancaster mill appartments. The first night I slept here I woke-up wheezing from my asthma. To this day i struggle to breath properly. I noticed a smell when I first toured this apartment but thought it was maybe paint or the carpet had been cleaned or something. I've come to realize that it is mold in the air that is killing me slowly. The complex is so old that there are all kinds of pollutants filling the air which can be extremely harmful for people with my condition. THIS PLACE SUCKS

great place to live
We are current tenants at Lancaster Mill and I want to put my opinion of the complex because I am not sure why the last comment was posted about the staff. We have lived here for 3 years (just signed on for another year) and we think the staff is great. Everytime I have had to call the office or stop by for a maintenance call or pay rent, Megan has always been so nice and always asks how I'm doing and always seems to remember our last conversation. Whenever I see her walking around the property she is very friendly and knows everyone by name and waves to them or stops to talk. I think Mike and Theo are good and they usually get my stuff done within a day or so. I think the new girl in the office is going to be good, she seems really nice and acts like she does care about what I am telling her. Since they do allow pets I guess that is what is to be expected (dog mess), but I think it is the pet owners responsibility to pick it up, considering they do have bag stations all around the property. We would recommend Lancaster Mill to anybody who is looking to move. The location is great and you are going opposite of Quantico so you cant beat that. And I LOVE my walk in closet in my bedroom

Great Price, Great Place
I have lived here at Lancaster since September and I really like it. My apartment is spacious and very clean. The neighbors are friendly, someone even helped me shovel my car out of the snow. The office staff has been very helpful and the Community Manager has always been prompt in helping me if I have a problem. We are in a great location, tucked away and kind of hidden. But close to two schools and a community park. Finding a parking space for myself or a guest is never a problem, which is huge! Really, this is just overall, a great place to call home.

mmm its ok
i am a resident at Lancaster Mills and after reading the other reviews most of them are true especially about the staff only problem is that the other girl is gone so i dont know how much of a great staff you are going to get b/c the property manager is never available to help you when there is an issue. the maintenence staff is very friendly. i like my neighbors. my only other problem is that there is always dog poop in front of my building.

I have lived in Lancaster Mill, since May 2002, and have had nothing but excellent service, from the office staff all the way to the maintance staff. The tenants are very friendly and help each other out from time to time. The grounds are kept up and they provide large dumpster for large furniture you want to get rid of. As well as a recycle bin now. There is always plenty of parking. If there seems to be an abandoned car, they are johnny on the spot to get it off the property. I've had nothing but a good time since I moved in.

I enjoyed the apartment!!
I lived at Lancaster Mill Apartments for a year (Jun 08- Jun 09). I thought the place was friendly and considerate to its residence. I was able to use my own refrigerator and Lancaster Mill was able to accommodate me. Plus I lived on the top floor so it was very difficult, but the apartment still provided assistance to me. Not many other apartments would have done that. The apartments are near the shopping mall and other convenient locations. I had my own washer and drier within the unit as well and paid no water!! Let's face it...you couldn't ask for more.
