My experience was a lot better with old management. Sings new management company has taken over the assistant manager in the office is very rude and I don't like that they just let people into my apartment without my permission and I hate the $25 for valet trash when I can do that myself and pretty sure other people that live here Haidet as well

The renovated apartment is very nice and the grounds are well maintained. Close to a nice mall area and Spring Training ball park with an attached city part with a lake. Only negative things are I seem to always have issues (cockroaches, things breaking in the apartment, etc).

I've lived at Madera Point for 18 months now. Here's the good and bad: Good: Property is generally clean Management is friendly Close to pretty much everything Friendly neighbors Bad: Friendly office staff makes empty promises Monthly bill varies Adding services like trash pickup that costs money without resident approval Public grilles cleaned, but not maintained Band-aid service in maintenance requests POOR communication with UPS/Fedex Police action on property on a regular basis Overall: This is a good starter community. Office staff doesn't communicate well. Certain things like the hot tub being out during winter and now that the weather is warmer the tub is hot. We have a front walk-through gate that fell off it's hinges a week ago...today they just put up yellow police style caution tape...really? The public washers are a joke.. clean and all, but the total capacity is possibly 15 gallons? That's around 3 days worth of clothes... (3 sets of pants, shirts, socks, and underwear) Honestly, I'd suggest this place to anybody looking for a 3/6 star apartment...with the understanding that the $750-$800 rent can jump easily to $900 due to the added fees. Don't ask the office for much because they'll say they have something covered and then you have to hound them to get it fixed. Paint in the bathtub peels off in a few weeks and will cut your feet, but replacing the paint (or just scraping it off requires you to be out of your place for two days) If you're a very low maintenance renter and can fix things yourself, go for it.

The application process went very smoothly. Kevin was a big help, and always responded to my questions. The complex is well-kept and is usually pretty quiet. There were more problems moving in and within the first few days than I was expecting, but the office staff have taken our concerns very seriously and have been very professional.

We have been here for 5 years with lots of changes. We are close to the hospital, Main Street, and college. Buses run close here too. It is very convenient for us. We have really had no problems living here. It was hard moving into an apartment after losing our home of 30 plus years.

Completely satisfied staff was polite and professional maintained staff was great about fixing a few small issues. The community landscape and common areas are well maintained. Feel safe letting my kids go to the pool and recreation area alone.

Madera point is a great location, good management, and relatively quiet. It's right off Dobson rd, so of course there's some road noise. It's a little more expensive than other apartments, but I think it's worth it. I've been here a little over a year now

This is such a great place to live! I live the area and how close we are to downtown tempe. And salt river/lake. There are many parks around and hiking trails. It's great! There is a ton of shopping within a 15 minutes drive. Thank you so much!! :)

The maintenance and front office staff are pleasant people to talk to. The problem is, they rarely answer the phone, maintenance requests don't get handled in an appropriate length of time, and they had my roommate and I living with mold in our windowsill for a month.

Extremely satisfied with the ease of getting moved in. Rental Agent who helped me was excellent. This community is very convenient to my work and family. The design of the apartment itself is very nice. The kitchen has beautiful new appliances and there is plenty of room.

I had rented a one bedroom apartment initially and had almost no issues with the unit itself, and if I did have any maintenance requests, they were answered swiftly and were never inconvenient. Since moving into a two bedroom with a roommate, we've had a negative experience with the unit, maintenance, and neighbors. The transition to the new management company was turbulent and caused multiple inconveniences that were not communicated in any way. We ended up having to get a money order for rent and due to technical issues with the online pay for the second month I was told I need to get another money order for an issue I had no control over. Our unit has had mold and rust damage, and a long list of other issues and was not taken care of before move in though it sat vacant for 2 months. Any time something breaks or shows signs we need to put a service request in, we have to follow up with the office to make sure they received it, then when maintenance comes they do a partial job and we often have to put multiple service requests in for the same issue before it gets resolved. We recommended when we vacate to have it completely renovated so the next tenants do not have the same experience as we did.

overall, my stay was except for noise heard while sleeping in the night from upstairs apartments, treadmill not working for a while now. other than that overall stay was ok. It would be nice, if word orders are done promptly . it took a while for last work order to be done.

You can tell management is really trying to turn this place around. They updated both the grounds and apartments. Staff is very nice, and we never experienced a problem with them. Maintenance is always around and willing. The girls in the office are nice, and have helped us when needed. The biggest problem (and why we cannot wait until our lease is up) is the neighborhood. The noise is horrible, and the surrounding area is not the safest. Cops are always here, homeless people, drugs, etc. We're pretty sure the person who lives in the apartment next to us is dealing drugs as there are random people showing up at all times and then leaving shortly after. It also doesn't help that she came down to someone's car, and was talking prices before an exchange was made. Fights are constant; we're always waking up in the middle of the night by someone screaming outside. The side gates do not have locks on them, so anyone can walk onto the property. We walked on our patio at night to find someone randomly in the bed our truck and going through our belongings. It also doesn't help that management is raising rent. After the rent raise, water, sewer, trash, etc our one bedroom apartment will be around $950-$1000. Is isn't worth it for the area. There are WAY better apartments in safer neighborhoods for that amount. I feel bad for badmouthing this place, because you can tell all employees here are really trying to make this complex and better place to live...if only it was in a different part of town.

Well kept up apartments and grounds, great pool area, very nice staff. Location is good near freeway and oreganos but that aside the surrounding area is the biggest downside. Outside the gates of the complex the area I'd describe as grimy. I will say its a very quiet and peaceful area just.... ya the area is grimy I won't lie. But the apartments are great and always felt pretty safe although they have had some lighting issues along the sidewalks. I'd recommend the complex but not the surrounding area.

Maintenance is here within 24 hours to fix anything in my apartment. All the staff are friendly and very professional. Pest control comes every week in the event I see any critters in my apartment. Another big plus is that they allow my Great Dane! I found a lot of places don't accept large breed dogs and is another factor that sold this apartment complex to me. It is simply a superb place to live!

I am a current resident at Madera Point and for the most part I've been happy with the maintenance, front office, etc... 1 MAJOR PROBLEM, this place is infested with bugs. I've had them spray my apartment weekly and still there I see at least 1 or 2 every day. I literally walk into my apartment everyday expecting to see a bug and its gross. Definitely will not be renewing my lease

I have lived here for just over a year and I have had a wonderful experience. The property is kept up really well and the pool has been great. I use the gym on a daily basis and they have everything I need. Security is on site at night which makes me feel much safer. My boyfriend and I really like it here and look forward to another year here.

I am Moving out this month but I have to say my stay here was Fantastic! This was a wonderful experience. I had a couple issues that were addressed Very Quickly. There have been a lot of work going on but Its all to make this place better and It is, with New Paint and remodeling the Pool area to a New Gym being put in.. This place has been wonderful. In fact my concern is maybe this place is too good for its location because its not so pretty outside the gates.. Like I said Im moving and only to get closer to the Light Rail and Work (hope I dont regret it).. The Rents were raised since I signed my lease(wish I had signed a year) (Hindsight) anyway I never saw a bug, its a quiet place, peaceful, and my place was a Joy to live in.. This is one apartment I truly will Miss being part of..

Place has just been pretty average since we moved here in 2006. New management in 2013 which seemed promising due to extensive exterior painting in complex and stuff like free movie rentals. However, the new management are pool Nazis. The pool has been open 24/7 for 7 years and this management will be shutting the pool down at 10 pm July 17th. Currently they are shutting down the pool at whim despite near record tempatures. We are looking for a new place to live.

We have lived here for several months now and it has been awful. The problem is the maintenance which doesn't respond to complaints until days or weeks later and is then rude. They appear to be undertaking some serious construction and we are awakened several days a week by hammering, scraping, and the workers outside or window. This would be acceptable if, like every other apartment complex, the management would notify us to the work they are doing (when we can expect noise and people milling around outside our door). Nothing. The management has said nothing. As part of the construction they taped paper all over our windows and in the hallway and then just left it there over the weekend and we still can't figure out why it is there. Literally everything in our apartment is falling apart and the maintenance ie horribly managed and they don't even know how to fix things. When we moved in our washer and dryer were installed incorrectly and leaked for a week until they came and fixed it. The paint in the bathtub started peeling the day we moved in. The carpet obviously was not cleaned before we moved in and is covered in paint and dirt. We can hear every movement our upstairs neighbor makes not because they are loud but because the construction is crap.
