My first and worst place to live
Very first apartment. Only moved there because it was close to my job. Problems where should I begin? All the maintance issues were taken care of and that was not really that big of a deal. 1st month there I get a notice on my door saying I am late with the rent. Interesting trick since I have a photo copy of the check with the agents intials and according to my bank the check was cashed. Presented this info to the office which responded by saying they applied my rent payment to the wrong account.

Parking was a joke, never ever will I live in a complex that does not have assigned parking. Never liked parking on ther permitter altough nothing ever happend to my car except someone did steal my antena ball.

Noise, was a big issue. I could hear what was going on upstairs. There was guy across the tennis courts who was drunk and on who knows what yelling sermans at all the times of the night. And a couple of times he was NOT wearing any clothes. The cops eventually came after he threatened to jump from the 3rd story.

Safe? Hardly. Of course the neighborhood was not the greatest but still. Management was oblivious to anything that happend. While I was in the process of moving out, there was a robbery at the gas station across the street and because the main gates were broke (very common) the crook ran throught the complex and ditched their gun in one of the dumpsters. Nothing like coming home at night to find the place crawling with cops.

I found out what was going on by listening to my police scanner. So the next morning I stopped by the office and asked about the prior nights events. They knew nothing about this. How the heck could they not know about a crime scene on the property for several hours?!

Of course this is nothing...I turn on my heater and it would suck in the cigarette smoke from the unit next door. I was so glad to be out of there even though I terminated my lease early. It is cheap, small and in a bad area, so you get what you pay for.

A walk in the park, Central Park, at night!!!
No security provided, poor management response to issues. Vehicles are not secure and gates only keep out the police and give the criminal an advantage. Had to fight with management to get pet deposits back, took more than 16 days to recieve check. Aimco management is just as bad when it comes to concerns and dealing with issues. Property management just turns a blind eye to the needs of residents and expects a check on the first and DON'T be late unless you have an extra 75$ to spend for a late fee due after the first of the month. Not a great place to live or have your car parked after dark, unless insurance checks and higher rates are your thing.

Few Issues
Madera is a great place, but there are however a few issues that make it not so pleasant. I have lived here approximately 2.5 years and have had several inconsiderate neighbors with blaring music and stomping activity going up stairs and practicing river dance from what i can tell. I´m a very tolerant person until midnight or so. I have made several complaints to the staff with no result finally gave up on it. what a let down. the other issue is the insulation. i can turn off my heat and the temp will drop 15-20 degrees in about the same minutes. Terribly unefficient energy wise. Be prepared to feed the electric company winter or summer. And also I am not for paying rent late, but everyone is human and is late here or there, but the aimco dictatorship allows absolutely no grace period and have applied an amendment to the lease with a $75 dollar charge for late and then a daily fee also till paid. If they cared about there cusomers a little bit more they would make the late charges a little more realistic thats a 1/5 of rent! For these matters I´m looking forward to moving out this year.

Check this out
I have lived at Madera Pointe for almost 4 years. Have had my ups and downs about the community. Wish that the management would stick to thier rules on messy patio´s. it sure makes a differance when your living area is kept up. I´m sorry but foil on the windows are for the projects. And old furniture on the patio´s should be removed. If you can´t afford to put something decent out, then leave it bare. Besides a few minor things that can easily be fixed, This is a great place to live. The office staff is great and do thier best. It has to be hard for 3 office personel and 2 maintnance personal to run a property of this size. So, if you want to live in this area, come on over, Maybe you can help me complain about those few things, and we can make this place perfect

good and bad
It´s a nice complex for the area, its clean on the outside and decent on the inside. The staff is fine when you live there but when you move out the staff and management company are like vouchures and they can´t wait to get that extra hundred dollars out of you.

Loving life at Madera Point
I have lived at Madera Point for 1.5 yrs and I am loving it. Not from Arizona, Madera Point is a little piece of back home. The complex is bright and cheery with lots of trees and grass. The office staff has always been very helpful, they even have had a BBQ and ice cream with the residents. Its a great place to live, and for me to retire.
