Parking is a nightmare. Staff only courteous when they are trying to get you to sign a lease - after that, you're only revenue to them. Quads are like noise echo chambers. Avoid City Lights.

This is the best location. You can walk ti everything, shopping, park, grocery store. Complex is the nicest in Aliso.

I Like my new apt

Hello, Lived here for 4 months and I can recommend City Lights. Its nice, great location and pretty quiet. The garage is hetic at times cuase it a huge comples but other than that I can recommend.

I Like It Very Much

Been here about 6 months and I can tell you I love living here. I have no complaints or issues at all. The place is nice, great location and very quiet. I read a few of the negative reviews on here and it appears to be just "1" person writing them over and over, really weird who does that? I guess 70% of the people speak loud and clear. City Lights is a nice place to live.

If You Like Ants & Rats - City Lights is For You

Rats (plural) entering through holes in the kitchen and ants are what I was treated to at City Lights - and the ONLY thing Management would do is put down a couple of "sticky pad" traps that the rats easily escaped from time after time. Further, the quads are like echo chambers for noise - with, again, the Management staff barely lifting a finger to address the issue. Seems the only thing City Lights cares about is getting your monthly rent check. AVOID THIS COMPLEX !!!

Highly Recommend !

I really like City Light Apts. First of all you can't beat the location! Your right next to the park, Aliso Town Center and close to the beach. The complex is large but very quiet were I am, I live in Bldg 2, I seldom here noise, the bldg is safe and I'm very happy here. The complex is the nicest in Aliso. I read the reviews on here but did not really listen to them at all. I make up my own mind, I came here and walked around and asked people I saw if they liked it here and they all said YES. I can highly recommend City Lights.

Very Safe and Quiet !!

Looks like the "1" little person is back...she it did't take them long at All LOL well, I have lived here for 4 years and love it. It's very safe and quiet, very quiet. I use to live in Laguna beach (milion dollar homes) and there was more crime there that in Aliso Viejo. City Lights and Aliso Viejo is a very safe place to live at. And to the "1" person wrting these fairytales...you may want to go to Hollywood and sell some screen plays or something LOL

The 9th stolen car this year from the City Lights parking structure happened on 9-2-2010. This information is taken directly from the Orange County Sheriff's Public Access Police Blotter and can be verified by the case number, 10-164952. The City Lights office workers have been busy posting over 50 fake reviews on this website for the last 3 or 4 months in order to cover up the rash of crime occurring. They call every verifiable incident of crime including the suicide bombing incident, the resident attacked this year by bat-wielding gang members, the murder in the parking structure "fake" and then laugh "lol". It is disgusting. Quiet

Very quiet place. For being such a large complex I rarely see my neigbors only in the garage. I read some of the postives reviews here and all true. Looks like there is 1 person (you know who you are) who is wrting lies.. I'm sorry you had a bad experience it's time to move on with your life and move on...haha, we all love city lights! *5 Star rating** and there is no other place in Aliso like it, just come by and look!

Very Quiet, Very Safe, Great Location!

This is a huge complex right next to the park and Aliso Town Center and less than 10 minutes from Laguna beach and I just love it! I feel very safe and secure here (each apartment comes with it's own alarm!) You need to activate it with Protection One I pay $30/month. The Sheriff department is 1 block away and the patrol cars are all over the place so be careful not to speed or drink while driving becuase you will get caught :) I really like my apartment and I plab to renew my lease another here. Thank you

Outstanding in all aspects !

I rarely take other people's advice, I always want to find things out myself and I'm glad I did. I moved from Texas and got a job in Aliso, I looked at all the communities near my work. I settled with City Lights and I'm glad I did. The place looks good, best location and my interaction with the staff has been great. I'm glad I did and I can see why 70% of the people love it here too!

Rude and bad customer service

My husband and I were apartment shopping and we came back to city lights one more time to check out the bigger unit. Three women were just sitting around and refused to show us the unit unless we had an appointment. They said they had appointments already and they would assist us only if the other appointments cancelled. It was 25 minutes until the appt time and they couldn't take time to help us. No one was in the future tenant parking. Glad to see the excellent customer service up front! No thank you, we will rent elsewhere.

Nice

I recently moved in and like is very much. The grounds are very nice and you can't be the location next to Town Center, the park, and Laguna Beach is minutes away. The complex is huge and the parking hetic at times so if you dont like large compelxes this might not be for you, but pretty quiet for being so big.

Quiet

I live in Bldg 2 - 1200 block and I can tell you this place is quiet. There is noise in the parking structure but other than that this place is so quiet. I'm very happy here and the location is great.

BEWARE OF THIS APARTMENT

FIRST OFF, I READ THE COMMENT BEFORE THIS, AND WHAT THE PERSON JUST WROTE IS ALL TRUE!! IT HAPPENED TO ME. TRUST ME, I'VE BEEN TO MANY APARTMENTS AND NEVER WROTE ANY BAD THINGS TO THEM BUT THIS ONE, IS SO FRUSTRATING. TRUST ME, YOU WON'T WRITE A COMMENT IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE ANY BAD EXPERIENCE. BUT IF YOU HAD ONE, THEY YOU WILL TRY TO FIND WHERE YOU CAN COMMENT AND ALL THAT. AFTER MY LEASE, AND MOVED OUT, I GOT CHARGED OF ALMOST A THOUSAND FOR THE CARPET, WALLS AND STOVE. WHY? DON'T ASK ME. I ASKED THEM SO MANY TIMES WHY THEY CHARGED ME. I SHOULD HAVE TOOK PICTURES OF THE APARTMENT WHEN I MOVE OUT BUT DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS GONNA HAPPEN TO ME. I NEVER HAD STAINS ON MY CARPET, DON'T HAVE ANY PETS AT ALL. VERY NICE AND CLEAN STOVE (BUT I THINK THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE SCRATCHES ON THE STOVE, HEY!!! IT WAS THERE WHEN I MOVED IN) AND I ONLY HAD 2 FRAMES ON MY WALL AND THEY EVEN TOLD ME IF I HAVE ANY HOLES ON THE WALL, THEN I HAVE TO SEAL AND RE-PAINT IT. AND THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I DID, THEY EVEN GAVE ME A PAINT FOR THAT ON A SMALL BOTTLE. I GUESS THEY DON'T REMEMBER THAT THEY ACTUALLY GAVE ME A SAMPLE FOR THAT. SO IF YOU GUYS REALLY LIKE THIS APARTMENT, YOU CAN TRY.. BUT YOU'LL SEE. YOU WILL REMEMBER THIS COMMENT ONCE YOU MOVE OUT. OR IF I CAN'T STOP YOU, AT LEAST TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR APARTMENT BEFORE YOU MOVE OUT WITHOUT ALL YOUR STUFF. MAYBE THAT WILL HELP. I HOPE! GOOD LUCK!!

Very Nice

Well I used this site when I was looking but did not taking anyone comment seriuos. Seems most of these comments are from other apartment communties trying to get renters or former employees trying to get revenge or something. I make up my own mind and I looked around myself. I moved here in Feb and like it very much.

Great Place to Live

I just wanted to agree with the last review. I've been at City Lights for about 2 years and really like. First the apartment community is the nicest in Aliso, it's very close to everything and very well kept too. I can walk to the park or the shops. I feel really safe here too. I plan to stay another year and probably just rent a condo because I want a garage. City Lights does not have private garages but other than that there is no other complaint I have because I knew that when I moved in. I just want a private garage now, overall a great place to live.
