I love City Lights for its hassle free environment. The amenities are amazing. Just by going to the pool to relax, you feel like you had a weekend getaway vacation. Salt water pool and Jacuzzi will remove the stress caused by the high rent :-) I do wish the rent didn't go up so much at every renewal.

It's been nothing short if fabulous, the staff are fantastic and the quality of living supersedes all my expectations. Reasonably priced, spacious apartments, and privacy. I would recommend city lights to any person who is looking to rent and still feel at home!!!!

I love my apartment per se. I have a good rapport with a couple office staff personnel who are always polite and helpful. But my main concern is Security for the entire property and at Entry Gate. Also, hallways are a mess, unsightly, and elevator is ugly. Parking Garage is dangerous. There are ongoing break ins, theft of car parts, again, we need 24 hour Security.

Great area. Dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer, and refrigerator included is a big plus. In-apartment washer and dryer is a big plus. 24 hour gym and 3 pools are awesome amenities to have. Only problem is when there is an event at Grand Park and people park on Grand and on City Lights Drive.

I just so happened to stumble across city lights after months of looking for the perfect apartment! I was connected with Kasey in the leasing office who was a huge help and very pleasant. She showed me around the complex and a few availabilities, but there were none for 'dog approved' at the time. I was put on a waiting list but also checked the website daily for something to open up. I put something on hold as soon as I saw something and Kasey called me immediately to let help me with the process. Since then, I've been very happy with what the complex has to offer, staff, cleanliness, pet friendly, etc...

Office staff is great. The constant maintenance on the building isn't. Huge inconvenience and disturbance. They closed the pool for three weeks in the summer.

Everything is pretty much good minus the fact that most pet owners do not clean up after their dogs. People drive WAY too fast in the parking garage. Worried about the broken glass on the property hurting somebody and I've told the front office about this about 5 times now. Can't sleep in on weekends in my bedroom due to road noise being too loud. I doubt anything can be done about this....

no one really know each other as neighbors... for the most part people are polite but then again, i wouldn't be able to call 99% of my neighbors by name or hang out with most of them. we all usually keep to ourselves and dont really feel like a community.

Have only lived here for about a week but already needed maintenance to come for several things (dead bird on balcony, front door not sealing and no water pressure I'm shower). The shower issue still has not been resolved. Overall, I'm slightly frustrated that we have already had to request maintenance less than a week after moving in and that the shower issue still has not been resolved as maintenance said that the amount of water coming out (very, very little with no water pressure) is normal.

Community staff communicates changes and updates via email so I always know what's going on. They offer great amenities for residents as well, like free yoga classes and multiple pools! The only opportunity for the complex is that they have had several maintenance projects in the last year that have been very inconvenient within my unit.

I've been here for thirteen year's. So, yes, I love living here and I would highly recommend it. This community has great schools, clean living, close to the 73 Freeway, shopping and restaurants. Families around here value family time. That to me is priceless.

The apartment is not bad, but it is overpriced. Parking is not an issue. There are more than enough spots to accommodate.

Criminal overbilling of water/trash utility bill. $65 a month? Are you kidding me? Someone at City Lights or Shea must be getting a kickback or pulling some scam here. When I first moved here in 2008 it was $15 a month which I thought was still a little high since everyone on the same floor shares a filthy, rat-infested trashroom. When I moved from a 3 bedroom house to here it was only $11 a month in a house with 3 people living there. Now it is $65 a month with just one. Maybe this is due to the water leaks in every unit. They recently "fixed" the ceiling leak problem everyone was having a few times a year. Since the home invasion of construction workers over a two week period that "fixed" the pipes, they have burst two more times. There must be some scam going on here. They started charging $65 a month recently and changed the name from ISTA to Yes Energy. Sounds very fishy. I filed a complaint at the California Public Utilities Commission Consumer Affairs Branch Website. I know I'm not alone in getting overbilled as all of my neighbors have equally high bills. I didn't pay for 3 months trying to figure out what was going on. The front office must be in on the scam since I got no answers. All of a sudden my bill was $242 with "penalty" and "late" charges. The a-holes up front even put a 3-day eviction notice along with the phony bill. If you have been ripped off too with overbilling go online to the California Public Utilities Commission website or call them at 800 649 7570 and maybe we can stop this scam.
