not the best apartment community in ocala
The sales person will tell you anything to get you to move in, but nothing turns out to be accurate...for what they expect for income and credit rating you think there would be cleaner apartments where things like the stove and air conditioning work...and hey...lot of crime so be careful poor lighting at night.

if want to feel like you are in jail or the high clss projects you can come live here in paddock park is the worst place to live this office is all in your life lucy is a ----- just as well as linda , paula ,and amber .they not helpful at all ,i have big roaches in my house which i pay for pest control for what .my rent went up 35.oo bucks for cable .what happens for signing the lease for 66o and you end up paying 724 ,,dont live here they act nice and they ---- on you .also they cops where here due to drugs and they also came cause they try to break into someone house ...

Love it
We've lived here for a year and a half and haven't had any problems. Any repairs have been made within 24 hours, the maintenance guys are nice, and the office staff has always been good to us. Be nice to them and they'll be nice to you. The buildings are older, but they are kept up well. We live in the older side, but some of the buildings have been updated with nicer appliances. The grounds are really nice, with ponds and walking trails. Nice excercise facility, but the hours are restrictive for people who work long hours. Plenty of parking, but sometimes it gets pretty dark.

All Good since we moved in...
Since we moved in, we have found the office personnel to be helpful and very pleasant and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and they provide very ample screened in patios to enjoy the solitude. Nice water views and sounds. My neighbors are quite nice and always a pleasure to talk to. Any repairs I found at move-in were promptly taken care of the next day and they even came and repainted a couple of walls that weren't done properly. Coming from South Florida lifestyle, it was a bit of a culture shock but a most pleasant one. The rent is reasonable and you get your monies worth, since I am now in a 3 bedroom instead of a 2 bedroom at 1/2 half the price of Ft. Lauderdale.

Snake in the bathroom!
We have been livinng in Paddock Park for a year. Since we moved in we have found that at first glimpse everything looks nice until you move in and look closer. There is graffiti by the pool for over 6 months that noone has bothered to paint over. The pool was closed for 6 months for repairs, the gate was not working for an equally long time as they "got bids" to fix it. Our apartment has paint on the fan blades, the floor and the sliding glass door from poor workmanship beofre we moved in. Not to mention the very bad paint job on the walls with drip marks and all. The worst was when we recently got up to find a snake in the bathroom and were told by office staff to man up and wrangle it ourselves. We called animal control who said it is an issue for an exterminator which we pay for in our rent but the lady in the office claimed that we do not. Hmm then who is that guy that comes out to spray?? Thanks for all the honest reviews
After reading all these reviews I have changed my mind on moving to Ocala Fl. and moving into Paddlock Park Apts. I came so close from moving and spending alot of money to move from R.I. I would like to thank all the honest people that helped me make up my mind. Thank all of you once again!!

Me and my roommates currently live in paddock park and we hate it! wish we would have never moved in here!!!When we had problems in our apartment it took the over a week to fix them!It took them two whole months to fix our a/c and it was never cleaned when we moved in..there were red stains on the carpet, roaches and under the sink in the kitchen there were maggets from when the garbage disposal had leaked.We couldn't even watch t.v in the living room because our neighbors would come and knock on our door or call the cops and complain about our noise level.When we first moved in we had to take our laundry down to the facility and people will take your clothes out of the washers or dryers and throw them away even as your standing there.I have turned more than 10 people away from here and i will keep doing it!The manager Linda is back stabbing and a liar.She will lie straight to your face just to get there rent checks.They had to add a new little thing into the lease because people were leaving before their lease was up so now if you try… See More>9/1/2016

Very Satisfied
We lived in Paddock Park Apartments for about nine months in 2005. We found the staff to be helpful and it was a very nice location. We would live there again if we moved back to Ocala.

DO NOT MOVE IN
I have lived here for 11 months. After living here for only 2 months we had a tenant above us move out and leave their water running in the laundry room. It started leaking in our laundry room. We called the main office and they said they would send someone out. After 3 weeks of waiting someone finally showed up and said, "Oh wow yeah those stains are bad. Well we have to wait for it to dry then I will come back and paint over it." They never showed up! We called the actual manager and she came out herself she said, " Oh this is top on our list and it will be taken care of today. Not a single person ever showed up! The stain began to mold. We called the office yet again and they said oh well someone will be out. Never happened. So I went into the office and told them I want to switch apartments and they would not let me. Paddock Park my first choice
My family of 4 (including me) loved here 2/11/06 to 2/10/07 and emjoyed it very much. The only reason we moved was because my then daughter-in-law wanted to live next door to her father in Gainesville, Florida; it was a 40 minute commute for both my son to his work and my daughter-in-law's school at CFCC. When they split and divorced in early, early 5/07, my son and I moved back to Ocala (where it is 10 minutes away from his work) Paddock Park Apartments was our first choice (my daughter-in-law moved to Louisana and her mother moved to a one bedroom apartment) We moved back in 6/11/07 and plan to renew our lease each time. They have been very prompt to respond to things that need to repair. Most of time, if I call in early morning, they come late afternoon. The most Ive ever had to wait was until the next day. The staff and neighbors are friendly. I ride on a scooter, and everyone is willing to help when I need it reaffirms my belief on people. Since living at Paddock Park..........
We were going to wait till we move and write a review for Paddock Park, but i decided to go ahead and write it now. We have lived at Paddock Park for 2 years, the place came highly recommended to us by friends who have lived here in the past. At first we were extremly happy here but as time passed, we found the place less and less desireable. Our cars have been vandilized. My husbands Truck has been keyed after just having it painted... My car has been egged, not once but a few times, plus our car has been broken into. We have had things stolen right outside our door. To have anything fixed it takes over 3 weeks with constent phone calls, and threats. We would of moved a long time ago, but we have some issues that needed to be worked out first before we could move. We have had friends ask us about Paddock Park and we are truthful, Yea we could use the 300.00 that they give us for referal, but i wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy... They do not fix anything-wish i had moved out long ago
The scenery is nice. That is the one positive comment I am going to leave here about Paddock Park Apartments. In the 4.5 years I have lived here, the gated entry has worked for maybe 2 months. In that time, we have had multiple major crime sprees take place in this neighborhood-from shootings and robberies, to car break ins that sometime total 10 cars in a night. The people that lived here 4 years ago that made this community a nice and safe place to live-have all moved-including myself and my family. Now it is just an over-priced housing project. There was also sexual predator living here that molested his nephews before he was arrested. Heaven forbid something breaks or needs to be replaced. My screens were knocked out by THEIR painters and took 3 months to have someone come out and replace-and he only replaced one of the 2 broken ones. My kitchen lights were out for 2 weeks. My carpets were supposed to be cleaned or replaced-that was 10 months ago, and when I left the place it still wasn't done. We loved the look of the area, lots of trees, a lake... but the "nice" stops there. we were able to see a model apartment before we moved in. It was nice, no problems there, but the apartment we were given was another story. the paint is pealing off every surface, the tile is lifting in the kitchen and bathroom, the carpert has so many stains and it reaked of dog pee when we moved in. The neighbors are loud and disrespectful. (thanks guy with the loud car that circles the parking lot ALL NIGHT!) they call this a gated complex but the gate are rearely closed and when they are closed you have to go in the exit (that gate isn't closed) because the key pad NEVER works! The dumpster is always broken, and forget about getting a set rate, when you sign the lease they tack on $10 a month for pest and trash. not a big deal, but INCLUDE IT IN THE RENT, DONT TACK IT ON AFTER YOU AGREE TO A SET PRICE!!!!!!!!! I was interested in renting the apartments because it seemed like a great price and good location..well it was disgusting. The smell was horendous, the carpets were nasty and they claimed it was clean and move in ready but there was a major build up of dust and animal hair along the base boards. The appliances almost looked as if they could catch fire if you used them and the closet doors were dented and dirty. The smell from surrounding apartments were overwhelming of cigarette smoke(and my husband smokes so im used to the smell) and like a nasty wet dog! While i was there in the leasing office, their were kids playing all over the place around it with their skateboards and scooters and leaving their trash on the benches. I read these comments before I went there but I wasn't so sure if I should beleive all of them but after seeing it myself..I guess I just want to let everyone know to definitely check it out thuroughly before you make any decisions! I definitely would not want my kids around that filth.

I was interested in looking at Paddock Park but after all of the reviews, I think I will change my mind. One thing I dont understand is, people complain about the problems with getting someone to come fix problems, but I dont hear of anyone complaining that there actually is problems! I would never live in a place that has bug problems, or is nothing short of spotless on the day that I moved in! This place sounds disgusting...thanks to all for the feedback in keeping me away from this place! If you do know of any other places, (especially neighborhoods that DO NOT have cleanliness problems) please reply and let me know...it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks again!

Dont waste your time
Hmm..I think its funny that everytime someone writes a negative review someone writes back to try and make it better. Let me tell you, Paddock Park is not wonderful..in the least bit. I moved out a year ago and I still keep hearing about how bad it is. The community is not well lit and I was always worried when I came home at night. Two nights in a row the common lights in the breezeway were not working..and I dont mean just one or two were out...they were allll out so you couldnt see ANYTHING. The first night it was out I called the emergency maint, noone ever came that night. The next day I even called the office...and still...that night, no lights...after calling the maint line 3 more times, they were finally on the next night. Not to mention the missing stair that took over a week to replace. Maintenance is a joke and they go through staff constantly. I definately would not and do not recomment paddock park. the place is a dump and falling apart. There is dog feces everywhere and kids party into the night. I love these apartments!
I have a job where I travel to different areas and stay in apartments, so I have been in alot of them...<br>I love these apartments!<br>Mine was large, I never heard any noises from my neighbors through the walls, and the grounds were gorgeous and lush...<br>set on a lake with walking trails, large trees and lots of nature to watch...<br>serene, quiet, calm... there was little to no vandalism or crime... and walking at night I always felt safe... plus they are pet friendly!!!<br>Luxurious spa bathtub, and extra large closets and bathroom!

nice, home-y apartment complex
We have lived here since March 2005. We started out in the 1/1 but moved to the 2/2 in April 2006 because we needed more space. The 1/1 is spacious, but since there are 2 of us and lots of computers and just plain stuff, it was nice to get everything out of the bedroom. The 2/2 really feels like home. I'm not sure what the others are meaning by it takes a while for things to get fixed. They come right away if it is a real emergency, stopped up toilet, etc. However, our air unit broke once in each unit, and they cant fix it at night, but they did fix it right away. The only thing i dont like is the neighbors... someone said they arent friendly, and thats exactly what i think, too. I've said "hi" to so many people and have gotten no response that I've just stopped saying hi first. Also, we changed our locks and never gave them a key because we're worried about theft. place is OK.Other than the fact that you have to remind the management umpteen times to come and fix something.The neighbors are not friendly at all. You say hello and there is usually no response. And whats with those people emptying the trash from their vehicle onto the ground.

Trash Dump
Spa lol it is a broken 4 person tub. Apartments are dirty on move in and you note it and then move out they charge you for it. They coming into your apts to "check them out" with no notice STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. 2nd floor apts. power bills for a 2 bedroom are $200 per month. I had a 8 room office space with computers and stuff running all day that was only $150 a month
