Maintenance related issues throughout the complex get worse and worse. The fire alarm light in building 1030 has been buzzing for over a month. The sound is so loud that I can hear it from my apartment. The street light at the corner of 1030 has been flashing for 3 months. I'd be very upset if I lived in that unit. The trash compactor is a disaster and a family of racoons basically live there now. Maintenance issues throughout the complex get worse and worse each day. All of these issues add up and the only thing the apartment office cares about is putting stickers on people's cars because their tags are expired. Odd!!

Security system is terrible, I've trying to configure my FOP at the office and their answer is "still not working". Every time I go they tell me they say they are gonna call to see what they can do and never gets fixed

The office administrative staff are awesome. Maintenance is on time. The garbage disposal upkeep has improved. My only complaint is the kids in the apartment above me are very active and I can hear their footsteps on the ceiling.

Adult oriented quiet gated community. Well maintained inside and out and very dog friendly. Nestled in a quiet area of Pompano Beach off of a golf course that is also well maintained. Outside amenities such as tennis court play ground and bldg are well maintained.

I have one grip: the garbage disposal area. PLEASE put a gate around the recycling area so these pigs will stop throwing their garbage bags on the ground. This may also hinder people from throwing larger refuse wherever they please

I enjoy leaving here, it's nice and always kept cleaned. There is a few things that need improvement in order to keep tenants happy that is more parking space and work on keeping the gate active. it's always broken.

Initially St Andrews at Palm Aire was overall a nice community. However, recently the community has been seemingly becoming increasingly decrepit. Amenities are not well maintained; gas grills are broken and dangerous for use and the pool is often dirty & full of debris. The trash compactor is continuously overflowing with piles of trash that becomes a buffet for rats and raccoons. Moreover, the gate access is often broken and the “gated community” remains routinely open. I could continue to address additional drawbacks of St Andrews at Palm Aire, but I honestly think none of them would ever be resolved.

Very nice neighborhood, but upsetting to say the staff isn't nice at all. The women at the front office has no regard for people of Latin ethnicity who don't understand/speak English well, and need translators. Upon speaking to Paula over the phone, she was extremely unprofessional and brassy. My mother called to resolve an issue at hand and needs me to translate for her since she doesn't understand English well. After speaking to Paula for some time, the issue seemed to be resolved - until she got agitated, and became dismissive. I explained to her several times my mother does not speak English, and i am only here to translate. She told me she doesn't know who i am, and does not want to speak to me. Again, explaining who i am, and how I am only translating for the 2, she replied "your mother can speak for herself, and she can come into the office herself!" with an insolent tone she hung up on our faces. Paula's behavior as a representative of this complex was Extremely bold in a negative way, and at this point has become discrimination after explaining my mother cannot communicate well in English. Also, my mother has tried calling the office at this complex for several days in a row to resolve certain issues, and is only greeted by a voicemail with no call backs ever. I wouldn't recommend the headache.

The office staff is very professional and friendly, most of our maintenance issues has been promptly rectified. The upgrade to the office and grounds looks beautiful. The location is very convenient. I did not get to attend the Christmas party, but it is great that the company is giving back to the community by organizing the get togethers and competitions.

St. Andrews is value for money. You definitely can get fancy and stay in a 1.9k/mo apartment in Las Olas, but I prefer to live near my workplace. I stay in a 1 bedroom apartment for more than 2 years and these are the things I'm pleased with. - Maintenance My microwave handle broke off, they fixed it. Lights went off, they fixed it. It was prompt and usually within 24 hours (if you file your request after working hours, unless it's very critical, they will drop by the next morning). There was once they did an extra favor outside of their scope, but they helped anyway. If there was anything to be said, the maintenance kept me there. - Grounds They do repaintings, keep the lawn outside the house and make sure it's tidy. It comes with a little inconvenience because once I went home in the afternoon and my door was repainted, so I left. But they try not to interfere with your life so it's usually done during times when you're not expected to be around. - Other things The gym is barebones but gets the job done. I do my workouts during lunchtime. Behind the estate, there is a neighborhood to explore. There's a huge golf course behind, and you'll see people getting themselves fit there. On Tues before 6-7pm, if you walk far enough, there are food stands/trucks near Publix. I usually get something new there each time I visit. Jonathan Moo

I have lived here for almost a year and I love it. Coming from a different state I was searching everywhere for a place to live and happened to drive by St. Andrews. It has everything I was looking for. From the second I walked in the door the staff has been nothing but kind and very helpful. This is a great place to live. It's quiet and the neighbors are very friendly. H.D.

I've lived at several apartment complexes in various cities in Florida. St Andrews is by far the best place I've lived! The maintenance team is QUICK, the office team is responsive and easily accessible. We were here for Irma and they kept us updated prior to the hurricane and after. Bonus: we never lost power!! HUGE selling point in Florida.

I have lived here for 4 years. for being over 30 years old the place is in excellent condition. Its not as close to the the beach or downtown area as other places but access to the turnpike makes up for it. The community is quiet. I did have one break in while away but overall crime here i would consider to be very low to non existent. The pool an hot tub areas are well maintained and parking is usually never a problem. There is also covered parking which I pay 42 a month for and is definitely a plus in the Florida sun. I've looked at other more attractive places but I find myself comfortable here.

New management has an opportunity to truly make this a premiere residential haven. We shall see if they have the where-withal to fulfill the mantra: " where quality and comfort meet." Anything less than excellence is a waist of material!

I've been living here for about two and a half years, and couldn't be happier. The office staff is always there when you need them, everything is perfectly maintained, and the neighborhood and amenities are phenomenal. I recently went through an issue where I was hospitalized for an allergic reaction, and had to avoid my apartment as a precaution. In less than a week the staff had my carpets cleaned, air ducts cleaned, ran a mold inspection, and provided me with a full landscaping report.

In all the 25 years that I have rented apartments in the South Florida area I have never been more favorably impressed at where I am now renting, St. Andrews at Palm Aire in Pompano Beach. The administrative office staff is impeccably professional and attentive, and the three woman working there, Nancy, Emilia, and Paula set an air of familial friendliness due to their most congenial and affable characters. Additionally the maintenance crew, formed by Jose, Andres, and Ramon, are imbued with the same complimentary superlatives as aforesaid for the administrative staff. They vigorously and enthusiastically keep the grounds spotless, and service any electrical or mechanical problems that may occur within the apartments with precision and rapidity. The amenities at St. Andrews at Palm Aire, to quote a friend of mine that just recently visited me, "This place is better than a Five Star Hotel Spa." The half Olympic size curvaceous pool, heated and pristinely kept, is intercalated with a fountain. As one circulates around the oversized pool deck and patio area, one can settle into a relaxing large Jacuzzi, or have a barbecue at the open air bar surrounded by palm trees and exquisite tropical shrubs and flowers. There is a business office with computers, printers, and fax, adjacent to a game room with a large pool table and wide screen TV. The multifaceted gym can only be compared to a small LA Fitness. Additionally there is an indoor racket ball court, outdoor tennis court and volley ball field. To say the least it is paradise found! I live in a two bedroom apartment that is spacious and state of the art. There is never a problem in finding a parking space. And to add to the pleasantries that surround me are the sociable and convivial neighbors. In summarizing, St. Andrews at Palm Aire is the greatest place to rent! A very satisfied renter Enzo Caputo

We rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment at St Andrews. The rent was average for a totally renovated apartment this size in a gated, pool, tennis court, workout room etc. Complex. Most impressive is the level of service we experienced. From the Administrative staff to the Maintenance staff everyone was professional and responsive to our every question and need. The only reason we are leaving St Andrews is because we have purchased a house in Fort Lauderdale.

Any positive review on this community has to be anonymously written by the staff because this community is by far the worst I have ever lived in, in south florida. First off the fake wooden floors and extremely fake granite tops were sold to me as a complete lie. also for a "luxury apartment rental community" residents don't get their own assigned parking? I've witnessed neighbors have visitors over for weeks and they leave cars just parked in a spot and nothing happens. The Management team needs to take the time and create a better parking system for their residents. also they have workers who begin work at 9am sharp with no notice the day prior. they'll begin pressure cleaning the halls or start running loud machines with no notice. I will never sign another lease here again.

I love living here! We've been here for over a year and the apartments and grounds are beautiful, but what really makes this place great is the staff! The manager Nancy is so nice and knowledgeable and I never feel like just another resident! If she sees us she always comes up and talks to us and couldn't be nicer! The leasing office staff is also so friendly and attentive. The maintenance staff is quick and we've never had a repeat issue!

February 3, 2015 Re: St Andrews at Palm Aire I moved from Fort Myers to the St Andrews complex in Pompano Beach Florida in April of 2012.My experience with the staff here at St. Andrews at Palm Aire has been exemplary. The entire staff is professional, proactive and always willing to do what they can to help make the residential experience a rewarding one. In fact though I personally think the rents are too high for the actual physical living unit and corresponding area, the excellence of the staff makes it easier to accept..It is one of the nicer complexes in Broward County

Lived here for two years while going to school with two other roommates. Pros: - Great maintenance staff, quickly fixed any problems I had. - Pretty landscaping and foliage. - Pool area kept nice and clean. Cons: - Halfway through our lease, St Andrews started updating the newly vacant apartments to (fake) WOOD floors... sounds pretty, sure.... but not when someone and their 5 kids and 2 dogs are running around upstairs. SO LOUD. Not to mention St Andrews failed to mention which apartments would be renovated and when, so it was a not-so-pleasant surprise to wake up to drilling, banging and hammering for days straight. - Pool area often occupied by loud parties of 20+ - Only given day-before notice when "mandatory" inspections would take place inside my apartment. - Landscapers started their mornings very early, and would come into the concrete echoing hallways of the apartments with their loud leaf blowers. - Lots of bugs. - Overpriced. Rent raised $200 after first year. - Security gate often broken. Overall. A headache of a place to live. Would not recommend this apartment complex.

We had 3 issues that were only resolved after involving local police and an attorney. Before we moved into St. Andrews of Palm Aire Apartment Homes it SEEMED to us the best place for apartment living and a safe, quiet place to raise our soon-to-be born son for the first two years of his life. The management staff SEEMED very accommodating and the lease promised that our quiet enjoyment would be secure. Problem #1 - DOWNSTAIRS NEIGHBOR SMOKING ILLEGAL DRUGS THAT WERE WAFTING INTO OUR SON'S ROOM AND CONSISTENT NOISE UNTIL 4:30AM We complained for months after the downstairs neighbors moved in about these issues, called the police several times who confirmed the smell of the drugs in our apartment in 2 reports, and finally, hired an attorney before the problem was resolved. We put towels at our son's door and finally had to move him into our room. Our clothes consistently smelled of drug smoke because the smoke came through the dryer hose. During this distressing ordeal, management told us to move because the neighbors were complaining about the police knocking on the downstairs neighbors' door. Management also told us that we had to have proof that this was a problem to other neighbors before they could do anything, even after we presented management with the police reports. (The lease does not stipulate in the clause regarding noise or illegal drug use, that management must have proof from other neighbors or police reports in order to act). We were also told that they will not take one neighbors side over the other, even though the neighbors' activity was in violation of both the lease and Florida statute. We even asked maintenance to come into our apartment to smell the drug smoke. One time we were told the person was busy installing an A/C, one time we called the maintenance person (who was on call) and he said he was out with his family , and the one time he did come, his response was that he was working with chemicals all day so he couldn't smell anything. After LEGALLY withholding the rent, we were served with a notice that we were to pay rent in three days as well as the late fee. We paid simply because the situation was resolved after consulting an attorney. We are legally entitled to the rent we withheld, but decided not to pursue this issue because of the additional time and money we would have to invest. Instead, we want to educate renters and potential renters that you have the right to have your lease agreement stipulations enforced in your favor and not just the apartment complex. The MOMENT you feel you are being treated less than fairly, contact an attorney. Do not hesitate. Also, use any and all forms media to expose the egregious behavior of apartment managers to affect change. Problem #2 - NOISY NEIGHBORS IN THE NEXT BUILDING We complained several times about these neighbors coming and leaving their apartments and making resonant noise. The noise awakened our then infant son almost every day and night. Not until we called out the police late into the night, who spoke to the neighbors did the noise stop. Problem #3 - AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM We called 7 times about our A/C not working. Our highest bill for one month reached $190 this past summer. Management sent someone to "evaluate" the system after we consulted legal counsel, which also happened to be after the weather began to cool. I advise against moving into St. Andrews of Palm Aire Apartment Homes. We could have moved and suffered the financial and physical inconvenience of moving to another apartment, but were not going to be dismissed and disregarded; we were not the violators. Management needed to do its job and had they done so, we would not have suffered as we did. Hopefully the ordeal will cause management to think twice before being so uncaring about its residents and this will educate others that there is recourse to such poor management.

At first this place was wonderful. We were extremely satisfied with the apartment itself as well as the maintenance. The maintenance team was quick, professional and pleasant. However, after a year in our apartment, the neighbors upstairs moved out and a new tenant moved in. The new tenant had moved from another apartment in the complex. They smoked constantly and their second hand smoke was filtering into our apartment. When we approached the office about the problem, they offered us a cheap air freshener. This did not help at all. We went back to the office and told them for the second time that there was smoke coming into our apartment. They said the tenant upstairs has a right to smoke and they can't/won't do anything about it. After a couple more months past, we contacted the office a third time. They insisted they hadn't ever heard about this problem from us. They essentially played stupid. With no other options available to us, we found a new apartment complex (smoke free) and scheduled a move. Only after we gave them a 30 day notice did they attempt to enter our apartment to fix the issue. It was too late. We had spent months breathing in the second hand smoke and were more concerned with our health than they were. On a side note, one of our neighbors had all 4 of his tires stolen from his car in the middle of the night. Not a shining example of a safe neighborhood. Additionally, we signed a lease stating the pet size limit was 50 lbs. However, there was a tenant with a 100 lb doberman pincher. The dog would get off the leash and scare the crap out of all the other dogs in the neighborhood. He was still there when we left. We moved and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It is a shame because the complex has the potential to be a nice complex, but the office staff don't care about their tenants. If you want to pay such a large amount to live in an apartment (this place wasn't cheap), there are several other complexes that are nicer and treat their tenants better.

This place, the management office, and everything about this neighborhood is above and beyond incredible. I have to move because of a job change, but not because I want to. The staff at the office is very professional and accomodating; whatever you need they will help you with. I will even miss coming into the office to just talk to them. They also do events such as Food Trucks and BBQs for all the neighbors to spend time getting to know one another. I can only hope the place I am moving to is half as great as this one; believe me, that will suffice. Thank you Jill, Nancy, Carla and the entire staff of Saint Andrews from the maintenance to the cleaning crew. You guys will be missed.
