I have lived in many different Apartment communities throughout my life and with out a doubt St Andrews is by far the best I have ever experienced. Customer service is the cornerstone of this community. They truly go out of their way to be accommodating and friendly. From the property manager down to the maintenance crew, these people really care. They host lots of events and after a long day of work you truly feel like "home". The grounds are kept clean and there is no loud noise. I actually saw this community online and wasn't sure about the place since I couldn't come down there to look. The leasing agent answered all my questions, tried to help me find the right place for my needs and even took pictures and sent them to me within 15 minutes all without me asking. Bottom line is that St Andrews is a great community and is highly recommended.

This place is beautiful. I lived in an apartment overlooking the golf course. The people in the leasing office are really friendly and pleasant. They give you all their attention and close the issue tickets within a day. The pool, gym, volley ball court, pool table everything is well maintained. I am looking forward to living in this apartment complex again.

live here if you like to live with roaches
The first year after we moved here was fine. The apartment is a bit small but its was ok. But then our neighbor had roaches in their house and he did some pest control which drove the roaches into our apartment. And that was it. They never went away. We did so many pest controls after that but they were so many.I just hate it. Also it is a gated community. But the gate is broken most of the times and the other times people tailgate you.So its just fro namesake. I also had trouble with mold a lot of times. Typically when its rainy. It seems the apartment insulation is the cause for that.

update
It appears that all people that were creating trouble are now gone, the overall rating of this place is well above the norm. The maintenance crew are quick and friendly, the management crew are nice and patience. Over all I believe this is a place to live if you want peace of mind and a tranquil environment.... great for kids too!!! there are some apt's that are actually rented by a local church to help kids... great place to live !!!

Car was broken into. A bunch of thugs live right by my unit
My friend and I rented from St. Andrews a couple months ago and things were OK for the most part. Well now there are a bunch of weed smoking thugs near our unit and my car was broken into. My GPS system was stolen. Apparently this is a problem in the complex now. Gate has been broken a few times and it doesnt even do anything when it is working because cars can just follow you right through it whether they live there or not. we are leaving here when our lease is up or sooner if something else happens. i do not recommend this apartment complex.

Alright. But too Pricy
I moved into Saint Andrews August of 2008. This place is nice, but small. The rent is somewhat pricey for what it is. My car recently got broken into along with many others, and the complex did nothing about this. I was just recommend to pay an extra $42 a month for a car port so my car could be close to my unit. Strange for a gated community. I did this, and I still have to raise hell because people park in my "reserved" spot. Many younger people are moving into this complex. If you are older I would not recommend living here. Palm Aire area is getting worse and worse as time goes on, with crime and culture. Even a Broward Sherrif expressed this to me. But I shouldnt forget, we are still in Pompano Beach, so that explains it.

Great place!
I have been here for 1 1/2 years and am looking forward to signing another lease. The maintenance usually comes within 24 hours of a complaint and office staff are friendly. I live in the back so the noise level is not bad and parking is very good, however, the parking near the front and noise level by the pool I would assume to be more of an issue. The grounds are kept up, and it's a wonderful place for small pets (up to 30lbs). Grass is kept short and the maintenance keeps the dog stations clean and refreshed with bags. Most residents are friendly and pick up after their pets. I would highly recommened this apartment complex. Comparing it to the 4 other complexes I have lived in, this one is far superior in all aspects!

Pretty good
Well staff and maintenace are great.

The building is newer and withstands hurricane force winds. Parking is for visitors, boyfriends, and transients. No security people tailgate in.

The residents are mostly juvenile and disprespectful. Especially that fat 1 Lori. I hated to them in their bizzare nest of transients. Always monopolizing the pool or making noise.

There is a lot of noise at night and people play their music loudly at night. I guess the staff are helpless against this scummy brand of people.

Love living here
I've lived in St. Andrews at Palm Aire since January of 2003, and have not really had any problems. Maintenance issues were addressed in a reasonable timeframe, apartments and grounds are clean, office staff is friendly. The office will accept packages for you. Floorplans are spacious and I love that I have ceiling fans in all rooms. The security gate has had "issues" lately (mostly residents/guests breaking it by trying to tailgate to get in) but staff has fixed it each time in a timely manner. I don't find it very noisy at all, but I live sort of in the middle... not near the turnpike side or by the courtyard/pool. Plenty of places deliver to our community now and the overall neighborhood feels safe. The apartments are a little pricey, but that's standard in the South FL market. You get what you pay for and I'm happy with my home here.

Quite nice, but a little noisy
As other reviewers have mentioned, St. Andrews is a good place to live and in a convenient location. Grounds are well kept and units are relatively well built and maintained. Noise levels vary considerably in different parts of the complex. If you live near the front as I do, there's very little protection from the noise of Turnpike traffic or construction. As well, loud talking from outside can be clearly heard inside. On several occasions, I've had neighbors who enjoy loud music or active socializing (complete with slamming doors) at all hours. Luckily, when I've asked them to keep things down, they've complied. Pet owning residents generally pick up after their pets and the maintenance staff are prompt and cordial. Management offers online rent payment and maintenance requests which has been really helpful as well. Property wide upkeep activities like concrete stairwell painting or parking lot sealing are fairly well planned. Residents are notified well in advance of dates and alternative methods of entering and exiting the community if necessary. In addition to noise level, there is very little storage built in to the units. I have a 2/2 unit and only 3 small closets. Being an out-of-state transplant, this was quite a shock when I first moved in, but have come to understand this is typical for the area. Thus I have had to declutter with a vengeance and get really creative with organization and furnishings so what space I do have is used well. Management offers storage garages for an added fee, but it's more effective for me to just edit my belongings. Parking is adequate, but there have been several times when I've had to park far from my unit because of other residents' guests or just because it was late and everyone was in for the night. Management offers reserved covered parking spaces for an added fee -- there are always plenty of these available but I can't justify the fee against an occasional annoyance. Compared to what I've heard from others living in apartments elsewhere, St Andrews has a good balance of convenience, appealing grounds, and affordability. Rent isn't cheap, but you get a good return in the form of prompt service and truly livable space. A very good value for the money I would recommend to others.

Real Nice Community...
I moved in here a year ago because the floorplans are so beautiful. But there are many down falls.Maintenance is very slow. The office staff does not communicate with each other. Way under staffed in the office. Phones are never answered and when you go in for something the door is always locked. Then when you finally get to speak with someone they freak out that they are so busy....and send you away until they can get back to you..Great Customer Service! Anyways St. Andrews at Winston Park are just as nice and are cheaper.

Not a Very Quiet Place to Live
Place is well kept and very clean upon move in. However, I would strongly suggest any new tenant who enjoys peace and quiet not to move next to the pool. Most apartments surround the common area and this causes a problem with other noisy tenants having parties at the pool area, sometimes til 3 in the morning. Also, the gates surrounding the pool are metal and other tenants walking thru always slam the gates and the noise can be heard from inside the apartments. Lastly anyone living just inside the main gates will have a big problem with parking, as all the tenants park here and walk through the pool area instead of driving around to their own parking ares.
Complained for months to the management but nothing was done about it. Had to call the police on several occasions but this kind of noise problem is out of their jurisdiction. I believe they are in the process of getting new owners (although not sure) so maybe the new owners will have the knowledge to employee a courtisy officer for the noise and will do something about the gates and parking problem.
Not a totally terrible place to live, but the surrounding community area does not have much to offer (can´t get anything delivered) and the prices are a little high in comparison to many other apartments we looked at and with what is offered.
