Dishonest
Dishonest person dealing w/ honest applicants. I do not know what her motive is. I can only suspect. All above email, fax receipts on behalf of She claim she never got . Tried calling was put in hold she never came back to the call. Then my call’s immediately went to Vmail. My suggestion is to not deal w/ Ms E . Or continue your search. This is not the type a person you want to deal hassle with

2023- I’m a current resident, catalytic converters theft are high in this apartment complex , newly installed cameras are a joke, no one monitors them. Office staff, high turn over, your complaints won’t be heard. Maintenance Supervisor Mike, is the only one with real skills, everyone else, no skills what’s so ever, high turn over. Strong weed smell as you walk in with your children, breaking into cars are absolutely a high concern, Reporting incidents to the office staff, is a joke. The pool is close more than it’s open in the summer, the gym, is still under construction for the last year. If you want a car port or garage have them to add it to your first months rent do not give them a money order or check to obtain one. They will cash your check and slam the rental fee to your first month rent, double payments taken from you in one month, Refuse to give your money back, want to add it as a credit, biggest money scam created. Security was laughable, never saw them, you call the number provided by the Master Apartments you have to leave a message, no one returns your car. The carport that you pay for other people will park in it, you are not allow to call the towing company to remove it. Again DRUG USE AND DRUG DEALS ARE HIGH HERE. IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE DON’T MOVE HERE!!!

Theft and drug use are rampant in these buildings and when I have brought it up to the office staff they refused to do anything about it. I have had to call the police when I could clearly hear a woman getting beat by her boyfriend. I am also writing this at 1:30 am as I can hear my upstairs neighbors opening and closing doors cabinets and moving around furniture at all hours of the night which the office refuses to do anything about these people. Don't live here unless drug use, theft, sleepless nights, and violence towards women is your thing.

When I lived there we had a break in and saw someone else's place getting broken in to as well. The police were useless in this area and we found out this was an issue at this apartment complex. This is why we had to get renter's insurance to rent there. Then when I moved out they claimed my dogs ruined the carpet, kept my pet fee, and charged me $800.The pictures they sent as proof were do fake but I was told we would like not win if we fought it. Please do not move here! It is unsafe and they fo not care about their residents. I only lived there little over a year before getting the heck out. They ard the worst!

The "hardwood floors" are just a cheap stick on laminate. Not very quite. If you have a loud dog this place is perfect for you because the staff doesn't seem to mind. Only about 4 feet of kitchen counter space and only two drawers that aren't even big enough for silverware trays. Way overpriced.

Continuous noise caused by water drips from my top neighbor bathroom with no experience from technicians about this issue. Rent raise every year plus zero conveniences. The routes need complete repavement which impact your travels to and from the apartment. The pool needs improvement and enlargement as well as is not safe for kids. Very high carport price, higher than every apartment complex I have encountered. They leave hills of fertilizer for weeks on the main parking routes which make inconvenient parking.

I love this community because, it's very diverse. It is a melting pot of different cultures living in peace. The environment is very neat and nurturing. When the trees are in full bloom, the complex lives up to its name. Very convenient access to the mall if you want to catch a movie or head to a restaurant. Great and easy access to the park/golf course. All-in-all this is a great environment for all age groups. Lauren is by far the best property manager I had the pleasure of dealing with, but I cannot for get about her staff, which gives professionals but personable service. Great place, looking forward to signing another lease.

Viewed property and got tour of place. Emily was professional and kind throughout the process. She was very caring and gave valuable information. The assistant Property Manager Matt or Matthew was an airhead. He knew nothing about anything and was very rude. He couldn't provide the basic information needed regarding the property. The property manager was quite rude and unprofessional likewise. I submitted my application in around 9:30 am and Emily did not submit the information in until around 1:30. I was advised update phone call will be made and known were received. I asked to speak to the Property Manager and Emily advised she was on a late lunch but will leave a message. I called a couple hours later and the airhead yet clueless Matthew answered and said the same thing. I rode up to the property to wait and the property manager was supposedly in a meeting. I was told the property manager will call back but never bothered. I sat and waited in the lobby then eventually left. The staff seem all smiles before paying the application fees but once paid they flip the script. With the exception of Emily, the staff was rude, unprofessional and clueless.

Staff is great, friendly, very courteous and very receptive to the needs of their residents. I have lived here since 2015, I first live here in 2003 and then moved out when I move to a another city and now i am back. Place is nice and safe. Across the street form Sahm Golf course. Maintenance is a top notch and showed up promptly. JEN (staff member) is very nice and friendly. The place is very quiet and comfortable to live in and I recommend people to come and live here.

I moved in here in Feb 2015. The leasing office staff changed some time later & I think it was for the best. I have never had a delay with a maintenance issue. They have always responded quickly. My rent is reasonable, and since it is an older property, my electric bill has been very reasonable. I had one time that there were loud voices during the middle of the night. So, when I got to work, I typed a note and taped it to the front door asking that they have some consideration for others living in the building. It never happened again. People need to be more tolerant as they are living in a multi-building. The location could not be better. I recently renewed my lease and my son is looking to possibly move here.

Mold. Leaky pipes. Backed up sink and dishwasher. Dog poop on my downstairs patio. Noisey neighbors. Slow maintenance. Loud train runs directly behind complex. Dingy dirty entryway. Fridge too small for it's designated place so I cant open the door completely or fully extend the veggie drawer. Run down structures that looks good cosmetically with a few exceptions. Tired of smelling weed and rancid pork in the hallways. Moving soon! Yay.

Where to begin... We have lived here for two years. In the beginning everything was fine with not many issues maintenance showed up promptly and the main office were very courteous. but that only lasted for a few months before the staff changed and everything went down hill. I can not put in maitenance requests fast enough it seems. I have a list every week and the list just increases before they can get to my previous list and its been a challenge to get maitenance to show up without at least 3 phone calls, they have a new maitenance staff in the last couple weeks that seem to be doing better but they walked into a magnitude of things that had been left undone. The appliances are very cheap and break quickly, I understand that when you are furnishing this many apartments you have to be cost conscious but when we are paying such a high amount in rent I expect reliability. The paint in the apartment is very cheap and you are unable to wash them at all anything and everything will stain the wall. The electric shorts out in different plugs. Basically if I plug something in in the dining room the microwave in the kitchen doesn't work and I have WATER that comes out of another plug which is very unsafe all have been reported. The hallways are very rarely cleaned and the place is very drafty. The stove vent above the stove vents no where except back into your apartment so besides it setting off the smoke detector constantly also realize you will smell every bad spice your neighbors use. You can hear EVERYTHING from the hallway. Last but not least DO NOT walk through the grass picking up dog waste is not enforced here and there are land mines everywhere! There is also not enough parking due to the car ports that very few people use. I think that basically covers everything. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

They meed to walk around the biuldings doorways looking shabby. Doors and wooden handles get worn from moving tenants they prop open while moving and they break woood off they do not always get fixed, so then snow gets stuck and warps the wood causing more problems. The doors slam and wake everyome up. Or the rude neigjbors that act as if they live in a single family home get in an argument with their spouse they slam tje front door even late at night. The toilet seat beimg dropped at 4 A.M. is madding. there have been increased burgalries and nothimg in the works for this problem. The plus side washer and dryer imside of the units and one utility, electricity. Nice local management. The maintenance crew always work in pairs even for the most minor one man jobs...kind of weird because they put you in an akward spot of having to entertain the standing guy and he seems to be chexking out how and what you keep while the other does the job. Not cool to send two males to a females place, they seem to raise the rent every year but not all apartments are worthy of it, old old cabinets. Tenant web site outdated. Location is great

Have been living here for quite some time and I've seen it all. It was a great place at one time buy for the past couple of years, we have seen a spike in break in and it's getting out of hand. We have a courtesy officer that is supposed to patrol the area but I have yet to see him drive around. Security is HUGE factor due to the numerous break in but they have yet to do anything about it. When we inquire about it, they tell us they can't share any info (it's not like we're asking for the exact location...just wanted to know if it was near my building). Since they're refusing to put a lot of us at ease and getting some kind of security system, we are having to pay out of pocket for our own security. They don't care if we feel safe or not...just want our rent money and keep increasing our rent. If security is a big issue for you, do not move here.

I was at The Masters for three years and loved every minute of it! My only complaint is the new staff that was in the office when I moved out. They weren't very friendly. Ashley was incredibly nice though, If I ever need another apartment I would move back to The Masters in a heart beat. I actually work at an apartment complex and I send people to them all of the time when they do not qualify for my property.

I am really rather disappointed with this apartment complex. We recently moved to the Indianapolis area from another city so we decided to lease an apartment till we knew the area a little better and find a house we would like to buy. The staff was courteous and polite so I have no complaints regarding that or about maintenance which always shows up in a timely manner. However while I do not feel the need to go into specifics there has been some rather ridiculous things occur which I have never encountered before. In the city we previously lived in we own our own house and I'm a landlord myself so maybe I'm out of practice with apartment living. I will say unfortunately I do not feel entirely safe here and as I said I've seen some strange things occur. I think I would feel more comfortable if it was gated and patrolled more thoroughly. once my lease is up I do believe I'll be looking for else where to live. I do not want to entirely bad mouth the place some things have been nice however they just don't make up for other things I would recommend reading the reviews thoroughly before making any decisions because there is some truth to them.

I moved to the Master's August 2010 and have been living here ever since. The staff is always friendly and very receptive to the needs of their residents. I've lived in several apartment communities and I must say, the maintenance team is top notch! A member of the maintenance team is usually at my apartment within 30 minutes of calling in a request. The Master's staff and management frequently have fun activities and social gatherings for residents throughout the year. The neighborhood is quiet and a comfortable place to live, not to mention it's only 5 minutes from Castleton restaurants and movie theater! I highly recommend Master's Apartments to anyone interested in moving or relocating to the Indianapolis area!

I moved into The Masters around the end of November 2013. I actually had already had another apartment on hold right up the road but I wanted to make sure I had viewed every apartment before settling. As soon as I saw the 2 bed 2 bath I knew this was where I wanted to call "home". Signing my lease was a breeze, everyone on staff is very kind and always have a smile on when you walk in the door. They remember your name and are very genuine. Before, in my old apartment, they sent me with a walk through sheet and said to bring it back...which made me feel like I was just another number. At the Masters, they walked me though my apartment top to bottom, showed me how to use the fire place, what switches controlled what etc. I wanted to be upstairs so I could have a fire place. Today was the first big snow fall and they had all the sidewalks salted before 8 and plowed the roads. It also made me feel good to know that their staff lives here too. My apartment looks like a real home. My lake view is absolutely beautiful at all times of the day and year. I can watch the ducks in the pond and I love my screened in porch. My neighbors are all very kind and quiet. I never hear anything. I didn't do the updated apartment so I do have ugly cabinets but that is literally the only thing I would change if I could. I didn't think I would have good appliances based on other reviews but I have a newer stove, dishwasher, a brand new fridge and microwave....and did I mention I have a washer and dryer? All of these things plus residents only pay electric. The apartment I was looking into elsewhere was around the same price plus you had to pay all utilities-(water,gas,trash, and sewage) on top of rent I think that is rediculous for an apt. Anyway, my final comments are: I moved from Garfield Park on the Southside to the Northside to be closer to work. I actually feel safe here, my apartment is amazing, my view is amazing, and the Masters are worth every penny

Before leasing or renting, review utilities. They indicate they pay all except electricity; however, the apartments are totally electric. The tenant also pays for cable.. Soooo.. the complex only pays for trash (which every complex does) and water. I would say their statement is intended to be slightly misleading unless you ask. Unfortunately, family rented an apartment for the elder dad before estimating this in rent.

Very small, poorly constructed apartments. Dirty upon move in and I've needed maintenance to fix nearly every ancient appliance throughout the year. They do not have enough parking spots to guarantee one in front of your apartment (unless you pay them extra each month) so often times I've needed to park across the street or even at the clubhouse in front. I will certainly be warning anyone I know to steer clear of The Master's apartments.

Living at The Masters Apartments has been less than desirable. I had to get several things fixed in my apartment after I moved in. The appliances are very outdated and in fair to poor condition. They advertise that they have a state of art workout facility when really it is a very small room with no air flow. The reason I chose the Masters was because of a special deal they offered...definitely NOT worth it and definitely overpriced for what they offer. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone.

Terrible parking. Buildings have 11 open spots for 16 total apartments. We sometimes park in front of other buildings. Doors don't seal at all, I can hear conversations in the hallway through my front door and the cold air leaks are terrible. Our microwave is from the 1980's. All of the fixtures are very old, barely working, and inefficient.

If you care anything about your privacy and noise do NOT rent from the Masters. I am in an upstairs apartment and I have a VERY noisy renter downstairs who doesn't care about the noise his continuous parties makes. I have made continuous pleas to management with no results. I am awaken at 5:00 am and evenings are intolerable. I cannot wait to get out of here!!

Living at The Masters has been wonderful. I cannot say enough about the staff here. Holly and the office staff are amazing and are very approachable. The maintenance staff is fast and helpful. Although the apartments are dated, they do an excellent job with the upkeep. Make sure you get a remodeled apartment. The walls are a bit thin but luckily I had great neighbors that were respectful. Check them out!
