It has been overall good. The staff is moderately helpful but sometimes has no clue what they are talking about and it shows. The apartments were clean and I??™m good repair. However the neighbors are loud. The grounds are well kept and maintenance is efficient and nice. 21 does to many apartment checks for random things. Not sure why they couldn??™t just do it all at once.

Great management team that is always helpful. Maintenance is excellent but takes time for things to get processed. The atmosphere is fairly quiet, and the office loves to hold event for residents to get to know each other. They are a lot of fun!

At first the experience left much to be desired. New management each year left me feeling dissatisfied with how maintenance issues were being handled along with other things. The new management has improved many things from the policies to the maintenance to the friendliness of the staff.

21 Apartments is a beautiful place to live. It's near the campus, fairly secured and very well maintained. The amenities provided are also quite satisfactory. The only major concern is the staff. They are extremely rude and unhelpful. They are also quite inflexible with their policies. It becomes a major headache as they rarely cooperate even in critical situations.

The grounds are pretty well kept, I don??™t ever see trash or the like outside. The office staff are friendly and try to help you as best as they can and I??™ve never had any issues with them. The maintenance requests can be a little slow to fulfill but when they do come they??™ll fix just about anything. I??™ve never felt unsafe or unhappy living in 21 and there??™s an officer that lives here (I think). The pool is super nice and the gym isn??™t too shabby when everything??™s fixed. The only real issue I have honestly is that there??™s only one garbage disposal up front and depending on when waste management companies come they could potentially have trash pile up a bit around the dumpster but that??™s not really an issue unless it??™s super hot outside and bugs are about.

It was an okay living experience, the trash bin is very far for the buildings that are in the back of the property. There is no wifi in the office which is not helpful, staff is good and very helpful. The bingo night are very fun,You should also start sending emails for packages, more events maybe?

Great community , great professionalism ... my experience here has been great ! It??™s very close to the school and they??™re very concerned with your needs. Some management has been replaced , but it seems as so everything has been running very smoothly and good .

It is a great place to live because of the location and all of the amenities. Its one of the more cost effective places around campus but you still have a very nice apartment and each roommate has their own bathroom which is amazing. It is close enough to campus to walk on nice days which is a huge plus when football season begins! It feels secure because it is gated and all of the staff is very helpful and nice. It can get noisy, but any college community can! There is also a really nice pool area with outdoor seating. The gym and study rooms are also an amazing plus! Overall its a great place to live!

Overall my experience has been good. All of the employees have been very helpful when needed. It is the closest apartment to campus and you only have to cross one street when walking there. Would highly recommend to someone looking for a location close to campus.

I enjoy 21 because it is so close to campus and one of the least expensive apartment complexes near the campus. All others range around five hundred dollars a month, or you get to live next to some shandy people. I enjoy the cleanliness of the apartments and the equipment in the workout room.

I have enjoyed my stay at 21 Apartments. Staying here has brought many benefits. I'm close to campus so the walks to class are okay plus you're close to all the activities that go on at school. Also you're close to surrounding apartments in the area so a trip to a friend's place is not a headache.

In short, it certainly isn't the worst place you could live in Starkville, it is about as good as anything else you will get here for a decent price. That being said, it isn't a great place to live either, it is pretty average.

I love that 21 is close to campus, but I dislike that it takes the maintenance so long to respond to issues. We had our microwave go out and we were without a microwave for almost the whole fall semester but ; other than that it is a good apartment.

My son stayed in 21 apartments. The location was close to the university. he was on the second floor and had leak in the apartment above took a couple months for it to be properly fixed. When you move out it is pointless to clean because they are going to charge you around $500 dollars for fictitious repairs. My wife and i spent a day cleaning the apartment getting it spotless. This happened twice since he did not renew his lease after the first year. Should have expected when he moved out the second time but that was why i went personally to clean it but know im sure my son had done due diligence when he did the first year.

I had a great experience at 21 Apartments during the 2016-2017 school year. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. My apartment makes it easy to walk to class on an everyday basis. I am looking forward to live here next year!

Don't listen to positive reviews. 21 will give a 10 dollar amazon gift card to residents if you write a review and well people will write a positive one just to get it. They have a horrible corporate and the management here isn't bad but they won't do their best. If they mess something up and they owe you money, kiss it goodbye as they will never pay it to you but if you miss one day on the rent they will add a 50$ fee in a second. There's always beer bottles, fast food trash and condoms on the stairs. Go to the pointe, it's the same price and slightly better. If you want to spend a bit more, Helix and Heaven 12 are amazing.

I have had many problems with 21 apartments since I moved in. Neither staff nor management was helpful when I attempted to get an early move in date for band camp. I had to call and email several times before a move in date was finally established. Upon move in I was given a mail box key that did not work. It took over a month and me visiting the office no less than seven times for them to finally issue me a new key. There is no communication between Management and Staff. When I asked an office worker about a surprise overage I had received they assured me that this was a mistake and I was not required to pay it. I was later informed by the manager when I went to pay rent that I was charged and expected to pay this fee. There is often trash everywhere around the apartment buildings. Finally today MY WATER WAS SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING AND HAS NOT BEEN TURNED BACK ON THE ENTIRITY OF THE DAY. I had to call the office to figure out what was going on. There was scheduled working on a busted pipe that none of the residence were informed of. After HOURS of my water not working management sent out a sorry excuse of an apology email explaining the situation. There have been other smaller incidents of just rudeness and inconvenience as well. The apartments themselves are fine. The pool is nice but never clean. The gym is pitiful and not kept up. I was presented a different picture of this place when touring but upon signing the lease realized my mistake. The location is the only thing this place really has going for it. Still there are three other apartment complexes just as close if not closer to campus and I will definitely be moving to one of those next Fall. Also the price looks nice but with the overages and fees you'll end up paying more than any of the other apartments. My roommates and I use the AC and utilities very conservatively often leaving everything off during the day. Yet are still consistently charged every month.

Worst apartment in Starkville. I lived there from August 2015-July 2016 and I strongly regret signing with them and giving them my money every month. The premises is disgusting. The pool was never clean and you're extremely lucky if the printers in the study room ever worked. As far as my actual apartment and management goes, this complex doesn't even deserve 1 star. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get maintenance to fix broken things. Ex) our fridge, floor and a few lights were not working upon moving in and I moved out with those things still not working because they never came to fix them. Garbage constantly built up at the dumpster so the smell of the complex was horrible. Management team was never helpful and dreadful to deal with. But my main complaint is after leaving they send out final bills? Whatever I'll pay for the holes in my wall from handing things up but on that same bill was electricity bills from May-July. (When I was still paying rent in those months so it was already paid during my monthly payments) horrible place to live, horrible management and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Don't waste your money people.

I have lived in 21 for a few years. However, I never had any major problems until a few months ago. My roommates had several pets in the apartment such as cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, etc. Management knew about all of these animals being in the apartment and fail to take action. In the lease, it specially says no animals. In the apartment, there were a flea infestation. I notified 21. They wanted me to continue to live there or pay to move to another apartment. I had to contact the owner of the apartments to get resolve. Moreover, 21 charges excessively for overages. They will not tell you about the excessive overages when you sign the lease though. Lastly, it doesn't matter if you sign a roommate preference sheet. They will still put you with people who don't share your preference. For example, I request to be in a smoke free apartment. However, 21 assigned me with roommates who smoke. Long story short, if you don't want to go through what I experience, don't live in 21.

Twenty one apartments is a very poorly run complex. With a better management team, this place could be pretty good. The maintenance nor the management would believe us that our refrigerator was not working so we had to throw away food several times. Somethings will get fixed quickly, but other things will never get fixed. The maintenance is very lazy and complains about having to fix the requests. The front gates never work correctly, and there is always trash piled up at the front by the dumpster. The furniture in the apartments are horrible, along with the appliances, blinds, mattresses, etc. The internet never works correctly and is extremely slow. The rent constantly goes up, and the overages flat rate recently went up. There is usually no security on site, but there should be seeing as to how a drive by happened no too long ago (no one was injured so they were able to keep it quiet). There are only two positive aspects about 21: very close to campus and not expensive. I would not recommend 21 to anyone, and I wish I had paid a little more money and signed somewhere else.

*VERY LONG REVIEW I would not recommend 21 apartments to anyone. First off, rent constantly goes up and there are still many things on the premise that needs to be fix. The trash in the front is constantly overflown and an ugly sight for sore eyes. I have had a few of the maintenance men hit on me and asked me if I had a boyfriend or not. I have had a crazy roommate with an even crazier boyfriend that constantly broke our front door with their arguments. Not too long ago the police was out here because someone was shooting behind my building. The matching process is terrible. I asked for roommates that did not smoke and I got two weed heads. The noise is unbearable. You can hear everything your roommates do as well as your neighbors. The gates are constantly broken and our rent keeps going up without things getting fix. Also do not be late on your rent. They will quickly put a 50 dollar notice on there and they fail to mention in the lease that after the 15th day of you not paying rent you will have only 3 days to leave or they will kick you out. The only thing good about 21 is the convenience to the campus. The only thing. It is not worth it to live here. You are best living on campus less stress there.
