Poor Management
I have lived in Sun Ridge for 2 months. I love my apartment, but cant stand the office staff. They are uneducated and do not know anything about running an apartment complex. One of the girl's in the office who says sorry for the inconvenience every time there is a problem and I dont think she can spell inconvenience. Sun Ridge could be a nice apartment complex but they need to hire more professional employees, or at least a staff that has office experience.

This place is terrible....
We've lived here for about 8 months now, and in the 8 months we've lived here NOTHING is ever taken care of or fixed. We moved in RIGHT at the beginning of hot weather only to find that our air conditioner didn't work. We called about it and sat and MELTED for about 3 or 4 days (I was 8 months pregnant at the time, as well) They FINALLY came and fixed it, only to have it break 2 weeks later. Again it was a LONG wait. In total, I would say that our AC was broken more that it was fixed all summer. Why bother fixing something if you're not going to fix it for good? It seems cost INefficient to do it that way. The parking lot is all torn up, nobody ever picks up the trash on the grounds, the pools are kinda crummy and scummy looking, the exercise room is only open when the office is (what good is that to people who work until 6) the noise levels are loud and if you call security about a noise complaint, by the time they actually RESPOND to the complaint the noise is gone. The office staff changes about every month. I don't think I've seen the same maintenance man twice and I don't even KNOW who the manager is right now. We're privately owned, but the owner has McSha properties managing us. They never notify you when they're going to do anything, the water gets shut off w/o notice at least twice a week, and in all the months I've lived here I've only had my AC filter changed once and have NEVER seen an exterminator even though he allegedly comes to spray once a month. If you're considering moving here...DON'T. It's not a nice place to live.

Not too great
Well I've lived here for about 2 years now. The rent was cheap enough for the square footage but its just not very nice. The place had termites when I moved in. I guess they did something because the place isnt falling down yet.
I havent had many problems with management. Other than they keep changing. I've seen atleast 3 maybe 4 different management since I moved in. The first change was about a week after I moved in. I had a disagrement about "first month for $200". I assumed that it was a full month free. It was the only thing that made sense to me. Otherwise if you moved in at the end of the month the $200 would be more than a prorated amount of the full rent. But I had new management and they couldnt provide the person I taked to because he no longer worked there. Anyway, they refused to give me a full month for $200. Instead they gave me about 2-3 weeks for $200. It turned out to not be very much of a discount off a prorated rent if at all. This didnt make me happy at all. But then the management changed so I thought that they might be better. Really its the same thing. I would have moved before but the rent is pretty cheap for the square footage.
It is often noisy with loud music although I never complained. I dont complain about much. The apartment is falling apart. Blinds fell down. Toilet seat is broken. Vertical blinds falling off.
I'm used to apartments and how they should be. Been living in apartments for 10 years now. 7 different apartment complexes. This one is the worst.
On the other hand. The grass is cut regularly enough. Not first class but it could be worse. There are two pools. One indoor and one outdoor. There is some furniture by the pools. The hottub was fairly nice but its been drained for the past month. I'm not sure what the problem is. They have tennis courts. I could never figure out how to turn the lights on. The courts are all cracked and the nets arent great. There is really only 1 of the three courts that is playable.
Ohh and I saw that someone posted about getting notices a day before. This is 100% true. I come home from work to find a notice regarding what they will be doing tomorrow.
Gah, the more I think about it the more I cant wait to move out.

this is a ------ place!!!
I moved in 7 months ago. The place is a hell hole! The management at the time that i moved in were a bunch of sweet talkers!!! I was conned into their act. Even though I asked them to show me the apt., they never complied. Made excuses all the time. After i moved in, they all literally vanished. There was no one at the office to make any complaints. Then I heard that another company has taken over the property. They are no different!! There is no one in the office most of the time.

If you are looking for a cheap place and don't care about anything else, this surely is a good bet. But dont expect any service or maintenance. Be prepared to have very noisy neighbors. Also, the place is not safe at all. Can't walk on the street outside at night if you are not crazy! A few weeks ago, it looked like an apt in downtown LA when the cops were swarming the place with cars and choppers to catch a few bad guys. I can't wait to move from this crap.

TRUST ME! THIS IS NOT WORTH IT!

This place is a joke
We are not please with this property. We have been here just over two months, and for the first three weeks we lived here, we didn't have air-conditioning. The management kept saying that someone would be over to fix it, but it never happened. We finally had to get irate with them in order to get some action. Then, our ceiling started leaking (and by leaking I mean a constant stream of water) in various locations due to the faulty air-conditioning, and it took three days for someone to come look at it. Before we moved in, they promised that the pools were kept nice, and there would be nice pool furniture available when the pools opened. They didn't open the pools until the second week of June, and as of this date, there is no furniture whatsoever. Courtesy patrol was also promised, yet the pools are constantly filled with 10 year olds, and younger without any parents in sight. The buildings are in bad need of painting, yet only the front two buildings get any attention. On the positive side, the layout of the apartment is nice, but not worth the outrageous $659 a month we are paying for it. I would highly recommend that if you are considering this property, that you look elsewhere. The management is worthless here!

I CAN NEVER FIND ANYONE IN THE OFFICE. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL THINGS HAPPEN IN MY APARTMENT AND EVERYTIME I GO TO REPORT,NO ONE IS THERE AND I AM GOING DURING THEIR BUSINESS HOURS. I WENT FOR 3 DAYS WITH NO CLOSET ROD AND NO HOT WATER. I WOULD THINK THAT IF SOMEONE JUST MOVED IN THEY WOULD WANT TO MAKE THEM HAPPY. I AM NOT!

WE LOVED THE MANAGEMENT
I found the manager very helpful and knowledgeable. She was very straight forward "a no nonsense kind of person", and the apartments were clean and well kept. As for maintentance, the maintenance team was exceptional in all they were asked.

Thank you sooo much!
