Great place to live. All the staff are attentive and good people. The maintenance crew are awesome. At Meadowlawn you get results in a timely fashion. I'm in my 70's and feel safe here. Just to let you know how friendly people are, most of the time people will eknowledge you with a wave, smile or say hi. We do matter to the staff at Meadowlawn.

I love my living experience at Meadowlawn. I have been here three years now and hope to reside here for many years to come. There are many of us that are single females and I love the sense of community and watching out for each other. It makes me feel safe and comfortable. The office and maintenance staff have been nothing but kind and efficient.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to live. Thank you for making this place feel like a home I look forward to coming home after a longs day of work. It was never like that for us in the past and the day we move due to having children, will be the day I’ll be crying deeply. PS: I love how there is a ton of parking space too .

Maintenance and mgt. staff are excellent. Always helpful, respectful, and courteous. The units are very dated and could use some updating regarding cabinets, bathroom fixtures, etc. With the 7% rate hikes I would expect to see a little more of that type of work. Also, even with security cameras (is anyone monitoring them?) i still dont feel safe walking late in the evenings due to the transient traffic in the complex. All in all I love living here. Well situated for bus routes, grocery store, access to freeway. Plus definitely outway minuses. My neighbors are great

I have been here for 9 or so years. Meadowlawn Apartments is a wonderful place to live. The maintenance and office staff have made living here terrific. Everyone, without exception, has always greeted me cheerfully and they are always willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that any request is responded to quickly and completely. I cannot think of anything more I could ask for from them.

My experience living at Meadowlawn has been very positive. I enjoy the people, especially those in my age bracket. The community is safe and well maintained. Once a maintenance request has been placed, it only takes a matter of hours to get a response and have the issue resolved.

There is no security patrols at all here. Security cameras have been placed in certain areas, but it seems as though they are not connected to any patrol system. Homeless people roam around & items have been stolen from porches. Would be helpful to know when safety issues arise so that residents can be aware of conditions in our areas.

This is the most amazing community and a dream come true for myself!! I would recommend Meadowlawn to anyone 55+ ,it has all the amenities one could hope for,2 pools,2 clubhouses,an exercise room,a library,multiple laundry rooms AND A GOLF COURSE!!

Fine, except when attack by stray dogs, reported to office at meadowlawn and they did not seem to care. Raising rent for good tenants is a hardship. I wish the Grey Star company had more compassion for elderly people.

Great place to live. Apartments all kept up inside & out. Outside buildings, club house, community center, maintenence area, laundry rooms workout center, pool tables all in great shape. They're kept clean & updated. 9 hole golf course maintained with carts available. Staff friendly, helpful & professional. Safe community. Rents competitive. Good location. Very happy here!

It's pretty quiet. My car is right near my many untrained little yapping dogs. And the owners think its funny the dog yapping, it's SO irritating.... I like that I have a storage closet.....and locking mailboxes.

This is a community set back from the residential and commercial parts of the Four Corners area. Although the noise from the I5 corridor is not mitigated in any way, after awhile you will learn to ignore it and your sleep will improve. Since this is an "Over 55" community, many of the residents are over 55 (not all, due to state laws against age discrimination). The pools in summer are often filled with children, and the people walking their dogs are curious enough to look into your windows, so keeping your curtains closed is recommended. The very first thing that happened to us when we moved in was a theft: a small garden ornament disappeared, and a couple of months later, the porch pirates started stealing things. But given the high crime rate of Salem in general, crime is probably less frequent here than in the surrounding neighborhoods. Supposedly, the landlord will be installing more security cameras, which is good, because law enforcement in Salem is underfunded and they cannot respond to most property crimes. Our cars have only been damaged by golf balls three times (Meadowlawn is not liable for the damage) and fortunately only once did we have to replace glass, the other damage was body damage. Although the homeless population on the edges of the property is increasing rapidly, you don't see unhoused people walking through Meadowlawn more than two or three times a week. Overall, not a bad place to live.

I like living here, the only part I don't like is that those under 55 are allowed, I moved here because it was a retirement community but I am unfortunate to live next to one of those young people and have to deal with their TV mounted to our shared wall with surround sound. I have to wear noise cancelling headphones. .

Great golf course and Pro shop Staff The 5 star rating for greens maintainence and for swimming pool and laundry facilities is top notch. Absolutely recommend Meadowlawn Apartments. Golf, exercise from swimming and recreation at the Apartment Recreation buildings.

I'm a senior who has been an apartment dweller all my adult life, and have moved a lot, lived in a wide variety of places. Meadowlawn Apartments rank in my top 3 best places, actually come in as #1. It's a quiet, peaceful, pleasant place to live, I have lovely neighbors, and every question, issue, or maintenance request I've had has been handled with courtesy, friendliness, speed, efficiency and expertise. Office staff and maintenance guys have all been great to work with.

In spite of older buildings, the property looks very nice and is kept in excellent repair. Maintenance is expedient and efficient. There is a pool and dogpark with benches to sit. COMMUNITY is Great and lots of friendly people with whom to converse!!!! It is the feeling of belonging that is so attractive to me. My little dog enjoys the dog park. People who like to have garden pot growing experiences can do that here which enhances curb appeal. Lots of green thumb people live here. Also, walking distance to stores and eateries etc is readily available.

Rent increase & yet no improvements inside the apartments, cabinets dirty, clean & keep up walk up is a failure. I would recommend to keep higher management updated & to send letters to the state legislature & Congress what is happening at Meadowlawn Apts., safety concerns.

I love living at Meadowlawn. My only concern is the security due to the rising crime rate in the surrounding neighborhoods. I believe the addition of purposefully placed security cameras would aid in letting the perpetrators know they’re being watched.
