Ive lived in the Meadowlawn community for the last 6 1/2 almost 7 years. Everyone is always friendly and we all wave at each other. I am only 48 and my 21-year-old son lives with me yet we are still accepted in the community. I know I wont live here forever but while Ive been here Ive been comfortable and have felt safe. My only complaint would be the ants theyre such pests haha

We are very happy living at Meadowlawn. The only negative is a never-ending problem with Valet garbage service. They are unreliable and we, as have other residents, have had numerous missed pick-ups. The office is aware of the problem and have tried to get it resolved. Valet continues to ignore their input and nothing has changed.

I would not recommend Meadowlawn because there are no washer/dryers in every unit and there are no carports/garages for every resident. Also, it is noted that the rules of the complex are not uniformly enforced.

So far, due to the COVID restrictions, it has been below average. It appears the swimming pools only purpose is to make for a nice picture in the brochures. They look nice but you can't use it without restrictions.

Living at Meadowlawn has proven to be the best decision we could have made. The most welcoming community with tons of amenities. Everyone is so friendly and management/maintenance is impeccable. Our dogs enjoy the dog park and we enjoy the community. Couldn't ask for a better living experience.

As long as Kathy Kennedy works here, do NOT move here. They raise your rent around $25 per lease. Greystar pretends to care about the environment but I've seen 0 real changes in 5 years. They care about giving their residents the cheapest worst ecological products they can. Maintenance is great and they keep the place up quite well. They want to charge you $25 to report your rents to the credit bureaus while it's free to them. Greystar is an unmovable massive corporate that cares about profits under the shill of caring about residents. The contract makes little sense, is over 45 pages long, breaks Oregon law throughout and you are forbidden from making any modification.

We enjoy our experiences here and plan to live here for quite a while. The gardening staff are always busy and working hard to beautify our surroundings. The maintenance department are knowledgeable and prompt in their tasks.

I do not like the handle on the door as my hands are bad. I do not like the bathroom as the toilet is way too low and there is nothing to hang on to in the bathtub and it too high for a short person. The virus has put everything off so there is no way to get to know people. My nasal allergies are so bad here due to the golf course . And the apartment is so dark I have to have a light on all the time.

Quiet, beautiful park-like grounds, dog-friendly and nice neighborhood. Love that theres two dog parks! Awesome maintenance and upkeep on apartments! Great views of golf course, trees, and fauna. Great location, close to shopping and major highways.

I feel that Meadowlawn Apartments is the best over 55 residential community in Salem. It offers the best value for the rental price and the residents and staff are very friendly. The location off of the main road (Lancaster) is private and fairly secluded and the grounds and buildings are well maintained. It is quite safe and peaceful.

Residents are friendly. Staff display concern for the clients. Area is close to shopping. Unfortunately due to Covid our Spa and gym are and have been closed all year. Again, this is a safety factor for residents. They have a food share closet for those on complex that are financially strapped. Best response to maintenance requests.

This community was a very nice place to live. Now it has become more like concentration camp. The management has succeeded in creating antagonism where she can. We have been forced into practices where we have no voice, where we cannot participate as a community. We are told continually that this an active senior community yet we are told what to do, what to accept, what to say... The ratio of senior to under 55 has grown exponentially. The management team lives by rules that aren't allowed for senior residents. Residents can't run a business but management family are allowed to do so, residents can't smoke next to structures but management family are allowed to do so, residents are fined for not picking up after their dogs but management family is not fined, residents are required to spay or neuter their dog but management family is no and is allowed to breed.

I love the feeling of being safe, I have friendly neighbors, we have the clubhouse with game room, meeting room, the laundry area, Excercise room with equipment, also a pool table. During the summer a heated pool. There is a dog park that residents can take their dogs to excercise. Lots of sidewalks for going walking. If you have something that needs fixed in your apartment , it's taken care of right away. The staff has always been very friendly and helpfull.

Overall great place to live ! I feel blessed to be in a Apartment complex in Salem where things are tight Knit community but not overly regulated or snooped on ! Keep up the great work and Do Not Price Yourself out of reach for community on a Tight Budget esp people of Maturity and fixed income ! Boomers drive our community of 55 plus and need a place to thrive not just survive ! God Bless You All

I like living here because the apartment is bigger than most, quiet and I have a garage and washer and dryer. I often look for other places for safety reasons. We have had issues with people taking our personal belonging's and with the homeless community. I would feel more comfortable with better security, such as security cameras. I would also feel more at ease if we had a fence blocking the undesirable people from wandering onto our property. I would also love to have a grassy area to be able to enjoy the outdoors. As it is now we have a small cement patio (where our items were stolen) bark mulch, and a few plants. There's no place to sit outdoors that is appealing. That and the safety concerns are what keeps me checking the ads for another place to move to.

Where you live should be a place you can relax and call home. When you live in a place you are constantly afraid of not adhering to the many rules and regulations it is hard to come home and relax. You live in constant fear of a white letter on your door stating you have not complied. I am a single woman. I live alone. I try hard to live in a respectful way with neighbors and management.

Have been here about 8 months. People (neighbors and staff) are friendly. Feel relatively secure. Noise from freeway is tolerable. Parking is ok. This place is heads and shoulders above the last apartment complex we were in.

Everything i need is close by. The apartment is close to i5 but doesnt feel like it near an interstate. The apartments have great floorplans and the ammenities make me think Im in a luxury resort. Thanks Meadowlawn.

As soon as we moved in ,it felt like home. The staff in the office , maintenance and groundskeepers are all so nice. The huge picture window lets in the view of the beautiful golf course, always so green. Our home is just that Home.
