Meadow Lawn is a quite safe place to live. The pools are nice and well maintained! People are friendly and if your looking for a sense of community or just to be left alone you can choose. Its convenient to stores, restaurants, and easy access to I-5.

Meadowlawn Apartments is visually appealing and has a good sense of community. Maintenance issues are taken care of quickly and seriously. For the most part, I've enjoyed my stay with Meadowlawn Apartments.

There are residents with crazy stuff all over the place, belongings out on the greens, drunks driving golf carts all over the place, and even one apartment that seems to be always wrapped in blue tarping. Security is not addressed here.

I came for a tour on Monday. I spoke with a very kind lady named Julie. She was very informative and made me feel very comfortable about renting there however there was no under 55 apartments available. I will continue to check back periodically in hopes of one becoming available. I also hope Julie will be there to help me as well. Thank you, Fred

A nice, quite area. golf course is always kept in very good condition. Response to work requests are usually done next day, unless an emergency. Close to major shopping areas and retailers. Lots of food retailers in the area.

This is a great community overall but as an over 55 rated community should be offering some handicapped adapted units and they don't. No walk in showers, grab bars and no units with ramps instead of steps.

Meadowlawn has been great. It is a beautiful area with friendly people. I'm a little unsatisfied with the process and communication upon signing the lease and moving in. The neighbors are the ones who filled me in on most things and for having brand new appliances, I've had to maintenance several times. A little concerning.

My grandma lives on the Golf course hole number 9. She gives me at least one Golf ball a day from people hitting her roof extension of mesh fence. Someone from maintenance took down the mesh and now she is in danger of getting hit by a golf ball which could be serious and/or death. Management has been advised and refuses to replace it back to the way it was. No valid excuse for why it was taken down.

This apartment was in poor shape when we took it, carpet was not new by any means, walls were not repainted, just touched up. Wood work was and still is in horrible condition. Front of refrigerator and dishwasher damaged by previous tenant. However it was clean.

Strongly discourage anyone from renting here. The office staff is hard to communicate with and they simply don't care about helping you. The complex is on a golf course and my vehicle has been hit several times with golf balls. There are no washer/dryer hookups so they can get more money out of you for using their laundry facility. The buildings and landscaping are decent but do not make up for the awful experience I've had renting here.

We have lived here almost a year and have signed a renewal lease. It is a great place to live, we especially like the friendliness of the residents, the quietness here and the response of maintenance to problems. The property is well groomed and the atmosphere is serene. In short, we are happy here.

i have asked over and over for attention to be givin to certain things and the staff says "oh, we'll be over there tomorrow", and they never show up or fix anything. They'll fix something if it's a big deal like a toilet, but forget about anything else. The freeway is very loud. Dont let the staff tell you that once you're inside you cant hear it. The building exteriors are in serious need of maintenance and paint. For our set of buildings which is like at least 10 apts. , there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer. I had to "re-clean" the toilets and part of the stove when we moved in and i may request that one of the toilet seats be replaced. It still looks dirty and that would be embarrassing with guests. The kitchen cabinets are sticky. No attention to detail by the staff.

Moved into the Salem area January 2014. Office staff very helpful in assisting us in getting moved in very quick so I could get settled before I started my new job and helped me stay within what I could afford. Love, love, love our apartment. Very quiet, maintenance very responsive to a couple of issues, grounds very well kept so I feel like it is more upscale than other places we looked at.

I lived at Meadowlawn for 2 years and during that time I had nothing but great service and warm, welcoming answers to any question I ever had. The office staff are amazing. I would come to them with faxes or things I needed copied and they always were more than happy to help me. Any questions or concerns I had they would always have the answers and if they didn't know for sure they would find out and actually call me back and let me know. The maintenance staff is so great, professional and fast. I had a broken garbage disposal and they were at my home in less than an hour. Then it turned out it needed to be replaced and so I thought it would be at least a week before it would be fixed and to my very pleasant surprise they had one and it was good to go within 2 hours from my initial call. I love all the amenities Meadowlawn has to offer. 2 pools and a golf course!!!! I also really enjoyed the twice a month resident events. Always a good time and a great way to meet my neighbors in which they were probably the greatest neighbors I have ever had. When I did move away to take a new job in a different state, it was heart breaking. I knew I would miss my friends and neighbors so much. I was also very pleased to get every cent of my deposit back! That never happens. I love Meadowlawn and cannot say enough great things about my home or the people that made me feel so at home. Years

Apartments were decent but management was crooked and racist. I was very uncomfortable living here because if we walked up the stairs "too loud" we would get a complaint. If we had friends over (who weren't loud) we would get some sort or silly complaint. People would look at us weird and were extremely unfriendly. They also ripped us off on the deposit when moving out and kept nearly all of it because a supposed "blind" was broken....I felt very discriminated against...

I have lived at Meadowlawn for numerous years now and have to say I have never been happier. The staff here is friendly, professional and the maintenance guys remarkable. I called the other day about my heat, and within 15 minutes a worker was knocking on my door. Later that day, I got a call from the office making sure my issue was resolved. Where else can you get that kind of service? One of the best changes with this new company is the monthly resident events. At one of the events they taught me how to use facetime so that I could see my granddaughter. I play on living out my days here.

When shopping for places to live during a transitory time, I visited Meadowlawn Golf Course Apartment Complex. The ladies in the office were very helpful in answering all of my questions and giving me a tour of the property and a nice two bedroom dwelling. When it came down to making a decision, I ended up moving in with my daughter for a time. I appreciate the help I received during my visit. Thank you.

I have lived at Meadowlawn for a couple of years now and love it here. This community is quiet, with the exception of pool time, and most of the neighbors are friendly. There has been some recent changes and I like the new programs they have for us. I wish the buildings were more updated but all in all they are in good shape.

forget about your deposit
These folks are experts at keeping more than 1/2 of your deposit. Dont let them fool you. The initial paperwork says you are responsible for a $30 carpet clean job. That's JUST the beginning, Oh not to mention its $60 for the carpet cleaning!! Out of a $600 deposit we received back less than half. This was NOT an anommolly, 2 different lessors got the same treatment. $60 for the carpets, $60 for the blinds (anything less than taken outside and scrubbed with soap and water is less than satisfactory with them)$75 to $175 for cleaning, and $100 to $165 for paint! and this was after a 12 month rent from Adults, no pets, no kids. These units were left in very satisfactory condition. Renter beware! I did not even mention these units are old, the kitchens in the BIG units are an absolute joke, and the I-5 noise is horrible.

Not trending well
All was pretty decent, but some recent developments are things prospective tenants should know. This is advertised as "55-plus community." Evidently it is tough to keep it full with that demographic, so new tenants seem to be getting younger and younger. If that is a problem, beware. More disturbing: The buildings are the classic 70's wood shingle and of course have developed problems over time. (It's Oregon, after all; wood shingle was not a good idea). Be aware if that you live in one of the apartments with these water problems, management will be sending guys without notice to remove entire exterior walls from your apartment--whether or not you're home. This is creepy and recently happened to one of my neighbors. To be fair, they do pick up the phone if you have a problem, the people in the office are nice, and the guys they send to fix it will be personable and capable. But it's not as good as it once was.
