avoid at all costs! trash and snow removal are terrible, staff are rude and snotty, electric bill is insanely high especially in summer, pool is only open during peak time in the day so don't count on using after work, parking is atrocious, neighbors are trashy, the gym is a joke, rent is way higher than they have posted on any websites, landscaping is done at the most inconvenient times and rarely done at all, maintenance is extremely shoddy, overall bad place to live.

The apartment complex looks quite nice but the apartments themselves need updating. Maintenance service has been terrible since Berger has taken over which is one of the reasons I am leaving. Prior to Berger most issues were resolved very promptly. Recently, though, I have had to wait 3 weeks for a light fixture and window to be fixed. I have put in 3 requests for the dryer to be fixed and have only gotten a note saying that "it is broken and needs to be replaced." I have waited for over a month for this to be taken care of and am still waiting.

Nice residences location I have had many maintenance problems due to age on building. Often maintenance is slow to resolve maintenance requests. Snow removal from sidewalk/ salting sidewalk is a real problem.

Village square is a nice, comfortable place to live. The cost can seem high but it's because they offer more than just an apartment. When you rent here you get convenience, trust, care, plus a pool, workout center, garden, playground (coming spring 2018), dog park and a comfortable apartment. This is why we choose to stay.

My experience with Berger properties has been exceptional so far. I have been in my apartment for 3 months and I love it. The properties are being updated - new doors, shutters, paint, landscaping, etc. to add to the curb appeal. I have been to the pool a few times this season and it is always clean and refreshing. The community is great to live in - everyone is friendly, the complex holds community events, and staff respond promptly to any issues or concerns. I look forward to the rest of my time at this property!

Just moved in at the beginning of the the week. The staff is excellent, it's without question the largest community I've seen and the residents actually talk to you instead of trying to avoid you. Not to mention, very clean and well maintained.

I only been here 1 month so far it's very quiet and everyone stays to themselves. The gym is never crowded and is always clean when the pool is open and I go I could have more feedback besides having a maintenance problem with my bathroom door everything seems to be ok

Great place to live. Love it here! I would suggest for anyone i know to check this apartment comolex before any other ones. It is so close to everything. We have restaurants, food stores, fast food and much more within walking distance.

Overall the apartment is nice. The appliances are old and a little outdated. Residents are friendly however some take advantage of lax enforcement of rules and leave trash ouside their apartment, use the firelanes as their personal parking spots and the maintenance folks don't follow rules regarding parking many times. Communication regarding recent improvements to the apartments windows was spotty at best.

The staff are friendly however the quality of the actual apartment is bad. It appears that for years work internally has not been kept up with. I've had the same leak since I moved in in October 2016, it's now May 2017. I've made numerous calls and reports and yet I still have the same issues. When I moved in the heat was connected to the A.C., making the electric bill over $300 dollars for a 1 bedroom 1st floor apartment. My whole cabinetry under the sink came off in my hand. I've had 5 washing machine issues and never replaced. They're cheap and have maintenance staff that aren't skilled in what they do. The walls are EXTREMELY thin. You hear every conversation and footsteps above you or next to you.

This development is overall 3 out of 5.. the sound between apartments is terrible and the grounds are to great in the winter. They paved the parking areas and broke the windshield of my car and when I brought it to there attention they didn't even respond to me.. but with that all being said the apartments are nice in a convenient area and the maintenance are pretty great one you get to them through the terrible call in service.

Great community and wonderful amenities. Electric bill is high, but other than that, it is a nice and comfortable place to live. Great for children and pets. My dog loves the bark park and taking long walks through the community. Beautiful scenery.

This is the best apartment community we have lived in thus far. It is quite, relatively safe, clean, and the grounds are well maintained. Things inside of the apartments need work sometimes, but they were built in the 60's, so that's expected. We've had appliances replaced without a lot of trouble. One thing that bugs me are the centipedes getting in to the apartment. But, the exterminator is on the complex every Tuesday. As long as we call, or put in a work order on time, he will come and spray. The complex is under new management, and that meant a rent increases, but our rent increased twice under the old management, so what can you do. I think the increase helped to pay for improvements made to the buildings grounds, and pool area. We won't be here forever, but we like living here overall.

Maintenance is quick and courteous, and the office staff are wonderful. It's a nice neighborhood and it's pretty close to everything. It's not close to public transit though, it's a 30 walk to the closest regional rail station.

ALL I DO IS EAT, SLEEP, AND WATCH TV IN THE APARTMENT. THAT IS ALL I CAN SAY. I JUST NEED A CLEAN, SAFE, CONVENIENT PLACE TO LIVE. WE RARELY IF EVER USE THE FACILITIES SUCH AS THE GYM AND THE POOL.
