The Best Place to Live in West Norriton
I've lived here for 6 years and I love this place. Private entrances, beautiful landscaping although a little dated. They really put alot of money back into renovations inside and out. The leasing people are very helpful when I have a problem and the maintenance staff is exceptional. But what I like the most it is mostly very quiet living here tucked away surrounded by a golf coarse.

Tucked away in nice greenery, nice pool, rent is good ,nice laundry rooms and polite maintenance staff. parking is tight must be due to low vacancy. I have a small dog and she just loves it here.

Don't rent here
Leasing staff is incompetent and careless. They only do what is best for the company and could care less about residents.

A VERY GOOD PLACE TO LIVE
The best place for our money! All those stories about centipedes bull crap those people must have other problems if you know what I mean. We have a nice garden style 1 bed apt with a nice garden. a beautiful renovated apt. and nice neighbors here. The only draw back would be you have to go outside to get to the laundry rooms. it's pretty cold in the winter. But overall I would recommend this place to anyone you really get your money's worth here

Disgusting Bugs, Kids trashed my car, Gross Pool
I am finally getting out of here!!!
This was the worst apt I have ever lived in. The model apt is nothing like what you actually get. The appliances are old and dingy and the closets are extremely hard to open and close. From May to Oct I on average killed atleast 3 centipedes a day inside my apt. Not to mention what you see crawling all over the outside of the buildings. Its like a hatching place for bugs and critters. Most neighbors are ok except for the drug users who have the cops coming all the time. It makes you wonder if they do any kind of background check on tennants or can just anyone move on in for $900 a month. Most of the office staff is ok except for one woman in perticular, (aka the smoker) who is very rude and has a way of brushing you off. If you have any other choice take it I could not wait to get out of here!!!!!!

Leasing agent shoots squirrels. (and bugs, no parking and wild kids)
The day I moved out of Westover club was one of the best days of my life!

****My Favorite Westover club story (I witnessed the entire thing from my apartment) was when one of the leasing agents, in a common area (an area about 75 feet wide between the backs of 2 buildings)was in the middle of the day, shooting squirrels with a pellet gun. Someone called the police. ( he told them the squirrels upset his bird feeders)All he got was reprimanded (by the cops) and all the resident manager cared about was who called the cops on him. I called the management company directly, and I got an apology - but he is still living and working here!
From spring until, well I'm not sure until when because I still had them when I left, centipedes are taking over the buildings! They were all over the place, in my home, on the balconies, in the laundry room, they are huge and they bite. (and I lived on the second floor so it is not just a musty basement thing) They sprayed my apartment 3 times by thier count - once by mine and the centipedes don't seem to mind. Like a previous poster said - Management says they are no trouble and they show up every year, thanks, so you knew I would live with bugs for my entire lease?
Also, people let thier small children run wild. Be very careful pulling into the parking lot as the kids love to dart between parked cars in the lots!
On that note - there is no parking. Come 8:00PM - create your own spaces or park in another building's lot and walk through the unlit grounds to your building.
The laundry room issues were really the last straw for me. Management decided that they did not like us to use the provided air conditioner in the laundry room (even though it was summer and 100 degrees in there without the dryers going) so they had someone unplug it everytime I plugged it in. Next they bent the prongs, so I unbent them . (umm, again not standing in the million degree heat to fold laundry) Finally they pulled the ground from the plug so the air conditoning is completely unusable. I wonder if they will tell you too about temp controlled laundry facilities?
Then they take all the folding tables to host parties (no comment there, I have never bothered) and don't to return them for weeks.

The only positive things are A) Jack the maintence guy is nice and always available, and B) I did get a free TV for moving in.

I can't tell you how happy I was to escape. Make sure you ask about the centipedes (and the pellet gun incident) if for some reason you decide to look here!

HORRIBLE BUG AND MOLD INVESTATION
THE BUGS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE. I HAD MY APT EXTERMINATED EVERY WEEK AND THAT DID NOTHING. THE ONE DAY I WAS EVEN HOME WHEN THE EXTERMINATOR CAME AND I WATCHED WHAT HE DID WHICH WAS TWO LITTLE SPRAYS NEAR THE DOOR AND THAT WAS IT. I ASKED IF HE COULD SPRAY MORE AND HE SAID HE IS ONLY DOING WHAT HE IS TOLD. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HERE. GROUNDS ARE BROWN B/C NO ONE TAKES CARE OF IT OR WATERS THE GRASS. KIDS DO NOT HAVE ANY PLACE TO PLAY SO THEY PLAY BALL IN THE PARKING LOT HITTING OTHER CARS WITH THEIR BASEBALLS/FOOTBALLS AND THE STAFF DOES NOTHING!!! THE CARPET IS CHEAP AND SO ARE ANY SO CALLED REPAIRS. THE OFFICE STAFF IS SNEAKY AND WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET YOU IN THE APT; INCLUDING NEW APPLIANCES WHAT A JOKE MINE WERE FROM 70'S ATLEAST. I AM SO GLAD I MOVED OUT OF THERE. DONT DO IT YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!!!
We have been residents of Westover Club for 3 years and would not live anywhere else! We have 2 large dogs and the pet accomodations are just great. Our neighbors are wonderful too! The grounds and the area are beautiful. When we have a maintenance request, we call the office and the request is taken care of usually by the next day. To the people with the bugs, you obvisouly did not call the office to have your apartment exterminated and have you ever lived anywhere else??? The bugs that we have are ugly but I see one every now and again and if I see one I call the office and my apartment is exterminated. I have lived with roaches and fleas and all sorts of other much more offensive insects! The office staff is friendly and concerned about our living space. You just have to ask! I am very happy here and would recommend Westover Club to everyone!

STAY AWAY BUGS EVERYWHERE
The entire place is invested with bugs from creepy spiders, fleas and thousand leggers. The basements have inches of mold and bugs which is probably why the apts are so invested and why the whole place smells of gym socks in a hot and sweaty locker room. The maintenance staff jerry rigs everything so nothing is ever really fixed. And the building itself is 30 years old it is a piece of crap. Please do not let the model apt trick you into thinking this is a nice place its not!!!!!

Best place I've lived in years
While I agree with the person about the bugs, that issue by itself is not a big deal for me. I've lived in so many worse places where there were cockroaches, flies, gnats, spiders, etc that a couple of multilegged beasties on the wall don't really phase me. It is odd that I've been here 9 months and they've never had a spraying though.

Westover Club is quiet, beautiful, close to everything, and has large apartments. I live in a 1BR and my only real complaints are that my bathroom seems to be for handicapped people in wheelchairs. Everything is really low to the ground. I'm not happy with ALL of my neighbors, but most are just fine. Parking is a little irritating, but only because they're not assigned and some folks have 3 cars. I think more than 2 should have to give up a space for those of us with only 1 car. Another annoyance for non-smokers is there is no rule about hall smoking and my hall ALWAYS smells like smoke. I think they should have a non-smoking building just like they have a large dog building. Obviously, it's possible.

You can pay your rent on-line and that's the only way I pay mine. I also submitted a maintenance request for a broken fridge that was handled within 24 hours (new fridge). Overall, if I leave at the end of my lease it will be due to neighbors, not due to Westover Club management.

Nothing special/nothing too terrible
Be careful when dealing with this organization. Confusion exists between the leasing office and the management company that owns several similar apartment complexes. The lease is poorly written, leaving a lot of confusion that the leasing office is not always good about alleviating. Generally everyone is nice. It's not an awful place to live, especially considering the price is on the lower side of rentals, but there are certainly many better options in the area.

Good Place, For real
When we moved in the apartment in Sept of 2004, it was nice. The only problem was the refrigerator drawer--it was old and broken. Other problems was the late response of maintenance. We have requested that our tub be painted over (yes, our tub was painted when we arrived and began to peel.) in June. After three reminder calls, our tub still has not been fixed and it's August.

On the other hand, we did receive a new washer (digital) when our current one began to leak within 1 business day. Other maintenance issues were dealt with fairly fast, except for the tub.

Neighbors are cool; a lot of dogs, but most people pick up their poo. Surrounding neighborhoods are very nice, too!

Overall, I would recommend this place to other individuals looking in the Norristown/Jeffersonville area.

If you don't like bugs STAY AWAY!
If it wasn't for the 1000 legger issue here (which by the way is like nothing I've EVER seen)this place would be very nice.
BUT....Everyone here has them.... they do little about it. When you tell them EVERYONE gets the same line. "AWWWW...they seem to like us here at Westover Club"
And let me tell you they are EVERYWHERE.
Talked to many others that live here and they all have the same problem.
For the money they want to live here they're out of their minds.
I can't WAIT to get out of this place.
It's sad because other than that it's very nice but it's something they just don't seem to want to address in the right way
So if I were you I'd look elsewhere....it's not worth living like this.

Loved it
I lived at Westover Club for a short time when I was in between houses and it was just great. Quiet, peaceful, clean, large. I loved my big balcony facing the golf course and everything that broke was fixed promptly. it also helped that my apt had just been upgraded so everything was new and clean. the only thing i would have changed was that I didn't have my own washer/dryer and had to go outside to another door to do the laundry. lastly, the location is great, close to 422 and easy access to the city and king of prussia yet far enough out the its peaceful and right next to the bike trail and river. just loved it! would definately move there again!

Very Happy at Westover Club
We moved in a few months ago and we have no problems at all. We have a two bedroom with two full bath which we could not find anywhere else in the area for a decent price. Maintenance is always timely. And, though there are two dog buildings and many families we are never bothered with too much noise. Plenty of Parking for all and we even have a nice golf course view on our large balcony. My only gripes are the traffic on 422 to and from home (uggh) and two of the clothes dryers in the laundy room don't always dry clothes. All in all the best apartment I've lived in.

If you have a big dog, this is the place to be!
I owned a large breed dog, and Westover Club was the only place around in this price range that would take my pal. The dog deposit was extremely reasonable, and her share of the rent per month (the amount above the normal rent charge)was about $35/month at the time I lived there.

The golden rule applies here: be friendly to the staff, and they will reward you with kindness. The office manager lives on the premises, and I believe this is very important when you are searching for a home. It means they have a vested interest in keeping the community nice.

The apartments are only slightly dated. I never heard my neighbors, either below or next door. The "dog" buildings are awesome because all of the four-legged friends can play outside together. It creates a lovely social atmosphere that is unusual for the apartment complexes I´ve seen today. Maintenance was very punctual when there was a problem, I never had to call twice to resolve a problem. My only real complaint was that the laundry rooms were outside, and if that´s the worst thing, well I guess it´s not so bad.

If you don´t have a dog, I´m sure there are many complexes in the area that are just as nice. But my dog and I were very happy to call Westover Club home.
