Horrible

We moved in about 7 months ago, and I can not wait for our lease to be up. I don't even know where to begin... the workout room is a waste, everytime I have gone in there half of the machines are either out of order or rigged together. We received a letter for our trash being set out (it had been placed right outside the door not even 2 hours before) stating we would be charged $25 next time. However, there are apartments that I have seen with trash and clutter outside their doors for weeks at a time. I understand the apartment is old, and for the price I really should not be complaining. However, I wish I had known prior to moving in that more than half of the doors in our apartment are broken, not allowing us to close them. It seems as though everything was just painted over to fool you at first glance. There is no pantry. It is nearly impossible to keep the apartment a decent, consistent temperature due to the windows and doors. They need to invest in upgrades. My main complaint is the office manager, or what ever her title is. Every time I have been into the office she is very rude, disrespectful, and acts as if I am wasting her time. On the upside... The maintenance team is fast, reliable and very nice... but they are overworked. The pool goes to 8ft, but there is no hot tub.

Nice for the money

First of I have to give kudos to the new management and staff. I've never felt so comfortable in an apartment complex since they came. The office staff is always so friendly and helpful. Maintenance is always quick to fix issues. The amenities are the best too. The apartments are upgraded and they may a lot of the utilities. Honestly, you can beat their rents with everything that is included. Ive never had any issues here either with safety. Ive noticed a lot of law enforcement workers live here, which is great to have.

Great so far!

I just moved in about a week ago, seems great for the money! Nice pool, workout center, I always have a parking space. The office staff has been great to my family and I. We looked at so many apartment building, we're glad we picked this one!

If you want any degree of comfort whatsoever from the air conditioning, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The units to cool the apartments are way too small and they will not fix it! The apartments are sweltering hot and we just drip with sweat. Our electric bill just from this $200 a month!!!!

Use Caution

The rent is low and they do not have a weight limit for pets. Seems to be a safe complex, though some of the surrounding area is questionable. Next to a great grocery store. However, the small office staff seems to be untrained and disorganized, the apartments are old and pretty worn, the paint job in the apartments is very messy, and we had to do quite a bit of cleaning when we moved in. There are small things... no stoppers in some of the sinks, cracked tile and tub, doors that stick. Also, they do not enforce the " picking up after your pet" rule, so the grounds tend to be poopy, literally. We used the laundry facility once and found a used latex glove in the dryer... never again. Most of the gym equipment is old or does not work properly.

Relatively good deal

It's a good value apartment for the money. It is walking distance to a grocery store and Walgreen's, plus a few fast food places. There is a small park nearby.One of the benefit is for people who have cats, because there is a screened in patio, which cats love. I couldn't find any other apt. with this feature. Office staff was changing a lot at the beginning...seems to have stabilized. Safety-I never had any issues, but you have to know where to go and where not to go. There are apts. right behind Quail Hollow which are low-income and drug dealing goes on there. I have heard gun shots (verified by my neighbors) a few times throughout the years. I would avoid that area. Second floor apartments are safer than first floor, as I don't think it would be difficult to break into a first floor patio. During my time there, I never heard of a car being vandalized. Fitness center is small but ok. Maintenance-usually responded in a timely manner and were courteous. There are some college students mixed with professionals and also some families living at Quail Hollow. I would recommend it for those on a budget because it is a good deal.

Stay Away

We moved in here because it was one of the only apartments we could find with washer and dryer conn and was affordable. When we moved in the carpets they had left in there were disgusting. We couldn't wait to get new carpet so we had to deal with it. Little did we know we would get charged for cleaning that disgusting carpet when we moved out. If they left it in there for the next tenants i feel sorry for them. My fiance was pregnant through the summer and our A/C didn't for for months on end. They would send someone to come out and "fix" the problem which would only stay fixed for a day or two and then would be broke again. The main problem with this place was that there was only on girl Tamara that was running this place. She always had someone new in the front office answering the phone who could do nothing to help you with any issues. Tamara was never available. She was dealing with the entire complex all by herself. The needed atleast 5 more people to help deal with issues. This is a one person show and it does not bode well for the customers. Stay away if at all possible!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like it here.

Quail Hollow doesn't look like much, but I've loved my apartment; I live in the 1 BR/1 BA study, and it's a perfect size for one person. Plus, my cat loves the screened in balcony. Staff has never been anything but nice to me, and maintenance has always been responsive. Some might be a little concerned about safety, the part of town doesn't look excellent, but I've personally never had any security problems. It's usually pretty quiet, parking is never a problem, and in general, if living alone and being left alone sounds appealing, this is a good place for you.

I lived at Quail Hollow for 2 years before I moved out in December. I never had a problem with the place. My maintenance orders were done the same day most of the time. I liked the people there and the people that lived around me. I would rent there again if I ever move back to Bryan.

Horrible...

I rented from this place and only lived there for 4 months. The previous review must have been the man that lived above us because we had water leaking from the apartment above into ours. It totaly ruined our carpet and most of my school books. The office staff is rude after sign the dotted line and the maintinance is shotty. The apartment was way too small for $650 a month. Its not worth the hassle.. oh and did I mention my friends where standing outside and heard gun shots? Yea just one building over there was a drug deal gone bad. Nice place my a$$!

Rent with CAUTION!!!

My family and I moved in in August of '07 and were quite pleased with the complex in general. We were treated very well by Wendy (manager) and the staff here. Then about a month into our stay here we noticed that our door mat was stolen. We asked if others had been stolen as well and sure enough about 8 in total were missing. We all just wrote it off as being the local kids. Then, about 2 weeks later, our fire extinguisher was missing as well as ones from three other buildings. We reported it and it took 3 weeks to get a new one. Once we recieved our new one, it only took about 7 days until that one was stolen and we actually witnessed two teenage boys riding their bikes with them in their hands. Then my bike was actually stolen out of the back of my truck and found two parking lots over with the back wheel mangled. This was all negative but is not technically Quail Hollows fault. So, just be careful with your stuff.

This place is CRAP!!!!

What has gone wrong with this place, We have lived here for about two years and it seems like this place hass gone down hill fast in the past few months. The Leasing office is never open when you need to speak with them they dont seem to know how to answer any questions that you have. When we had the old manager here going to the office was a pleasure. What happened to her??? And the maintenannce staff is a joke. Are they looking for the right one, because I have seen several in the past few months. and none seeem to know what they are doing. The Maintenance man that was here, (Steve?) where did he go? he really seemed to know what he was doing. he kept this place going. and why is the place so trashy? does anyone ever pick up the parking lots? we had family coming down for the weekend and they made a comment that the place was way different than what it was last time they were over. We even asked other residents and they all agree that they also will be moving from this place. So I guess I would not recomend living here under the currrent cconditions....

Great Place to Live!

Even though I only had a short term lease (6mo), I had a great experience with this apartment. Maintainence requests were dealt with in a timely manner. I had quite a few problems with my A/C...they said it just needed freon (all 4 times they came to fix it), so I think they might have been trying to avoid a bigger problem. But they were quick to respond to requests. They also had just put in all new appliances, so it was nice to have a brand new kitchen for the first time in the BCS area. If I would have stayed in the area after graduation, I would have been happy to live at Quail Hollow for an extended period of time.

Great Place!

I loved living at Quail Hollow. I have went through many apartments and these were by far the best! I did have a few problems with my AC, but they stayed on it.

Couldn't ask for more...and I am a resident!!

I was really dissapointed to read some of the other reviews. My fiancee and I have lived at Quail Hollow for 1 year now and we have not had one problem. The man in charge of maintenance is wonderful. He recognizes all the residents and is always very friendly. The maintenance requests are usually processed the next day or even the same day. The office staff is great too. They have always been very friendly, professional and fair. The complex itself is an older one but they are very nice and we have had no major problems or complaints. Whoever wrote the review about the water lines breaking is crazy because it hasn't happened once in the year we have been here. For people who are looking for a quieter place to live that is out of traffic this is the place. We are young but it is nice to live somewhere that is not full of partying college kids. The surrounding areas can look questionable but we have had no problems with theft, bugulary, or vandalism. I am a young female and I feel safe walking the neighborhood by myself. I have lived at many apartments in Bryan/College Station over the last 7 years and this is the only apartment that I am 100% satisfied with. We are moving to another city, but if we moved back I would live here again in a heartbeat. Overall great place to live and a great price too!

Good place to live

Apartments or drug warehouse?

I am currently living in Quail Hollow...and it sucks! Lets just start with management. They say one thing and do another. Do not trust anything they say! Then when your heater brakes it takes them your whole one year lease to fix it. Oh wait they still have not fixed it! They continually replaced the thermostat instead of workin on the real problem! Then to add to it, our neighbors sold drugs out of their apartment and smoked soo much it was coming in threw our vents! When I approached management there response was "there is nothing we can do about it!" When they finally evicted them they moved right across the way to another apartment in our building with their friends! People with dogs do not pick up there poop so in ur backyard there are loads of it! Visitors have their own parking yet fail to park there so tenants run out of space to park! Water is supplied through Q.H. but for some reason the pipes or lines break often! We received a no tolerance noise level warning when we had never had a complaint against us. The office thought the whole building deserved to be on no tolerance because of one set of tenants. This list could continue but to sum it all up without taking up too much time...This place is not worth the money, utilities suck and you just cant work with the people here...It never felt like home! My husband and I are ready to leave! P.s. Its hard to take money you work soo hard for and give to people who see you only as money and care nothing about the problems you are having with them.

I love Quail Hollow

Anyone that bashes Quail Hollow Apartments, has obviously not lived in another apartment complex. I have lived in Summit Apartments, and Charlotte Woods and believe me, Quail Hollow is a god send compared to them. I really don't think we need security because if you have a problem, you call the police anyway. Anyway, those are just my thoughts, and I don't plan on moving any time soon...and most of the tenants that live in Quail Hollow have lived there for over ten years so I think that should say something.

Decent place to live

My wife and I lived here for a year and it was not bad. The complex is an older one but it is in good shape. From what I understand, they are in the process of getting newer appliances in the units which is about the only negative I can think of with Quail Hollow (and that isn't even a big negative...everything works).<br><br>Parking is not a problem.<br><br>Maintenance is great. Jaimie and David do a great job with what they have to work with. We had problems with our dishwasher and refridgerator and both were replaced quickly. They are friendly guys and work their rears off.<br><br>Management got a facelift. Lisa was here when we moved in and she did a great job of cleaning up the prior person's mess. Beverly came in and took over for Lisa who moved to another property and bends over backwards for people to keep them happy.<br><br>Appliances need to be replaced and as was stated before, I think they're slowly getting that done.<br><br>Noise is minimal. Occasionally someone will throw a party and get a little loud but for the most part it is quiet here.<br><br>The grounds are old but in decent shape. The pool and weight room are in good shape. Everything is well lit at night. bugs are minimal. The only bugs we have gotten are silverfish. Not one roach in a year.<br><br>Overall, I recommend Quail Hollow.

Pretty nice place

Considering that most apartments in the B/CS are run by bad management and are typically in horrible shape, Quail Hollow has been an extremely nice place to live. <br><br>Around July of 2004, a new manager was brought in (Beverly) and ever since then things have been drastically improving. She is extremely responsive to your needs (as long as you keep it within reason) and is there to help make your living experience at Quail Hollow the best. <br><br>We have lived here since May of 2004 and had quite a few problems for the first few months (broken A/C, constant maintenance requests that needed follow-up, etc.) but those were all resolved once new management arrived. In fact, we had our dishwasher replaced with minimal effort (it was quite old and wasn't really doing the job). <br><br>The apartments themselves are a little on the small side, but I gladly trade that for the lack of noise from neighbors. Extended cable and internet are included in the rent. Like someone else said, the internet does go down from time to time.. but that's typically not during peak times. Since new management arrived, our maintenance requests are handled within 24 hours. This is impecable service that I have not found at ANY apartment complex that I've lived in previously. <br><br>The office staff are extremely friendly and remember your name! This makes you feel as if you are important to them and not "just another resident". <br><br>Anyway, if you are considering an apartment in the B/CS area, I encourage you to give Quail Hollow a look. Just be careful if you have a lot of crap, because the places are quite small and storage is minimal. The only other complaint I have is that living on the 2nd floor seems to draw in a lot of heat in the summer which makes your electric bill a little higher than normal for a 900 sq. ft. apartment.

Their quick responses and <br>friendly attitudes make this place a great place to live. Our living <br>experience here has been the way it should be anywhere. I think anyone <br>concerned about maintenance issues should come live at Quail Hollow because <br>they have such a great service mentality. And, of course, the management is <br>great here as well and have been there to help take care of us since we've <br>been here. This place definitely feels like home to my wife and me.<br>

Not so bad...

I lived at this property for a year and a half, even during the infamous tire slashing that occurred and hostage event of 2003. Tires were slashed ALL OVER TOWN (including some places in College Station) on the night they were slashed at this apartment complex. As for the weird hostage situation, it was the exgirlfriend of a college student who went off the deep end. I was a single girl living there for a year and a half and never felt threatened or in danger. I liked the screened in porches and for the price, I thought the one bedroom was good. I had a much better experience at Quail Hollow than I ever did with the two so-called "luxury" apartments I'd lived at before in College Station. I got my full deposit back in a timely manner upon move out. The management was sometimes confused, but after living in several apartments in the area, this is not uncommon - most apartment places seem to have their offices run by college girls who don't have a clue, so once I learned who I needed to talk to (a manager) to get stuff done, it was fine and they were always pleasant to talk to. The internet was sometimes down which could get annoying (it is included in the rent), but as a single girl living in a second floor 1-bedroom apartment, I was pleased with most other things. My apartment had new appliances. I will say that the neighborhood surrounding this complex is NOT the best (it does have crime), but compared to more urban areas, the crime in Bryan, Texas is not-so-bad. Having lived in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Houston before, the neighborhood was not bad at all - it was convenient to school and work. All in all, I would recommend this apartment. It was decent for the price. Not perfect, not new, not fancy, but I enjoyed living there and only wish I could find a similar place that was as affordable now that I live in Minnesota! The apartment itself was MUCH quieter than some of the other ones I've lived at and the neighbors I did meet were nice. They were NOT all college kids - a lot of blue collar workers and couples, but they were good people.
