TERRIBLE!!!!
I am sorry to say that I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I have been a resident here for three years, but since the new management took over about a year ago, everything has gone downhill. One of the worst experiences I had was when my car was towed on January 30, 2023, while I was out of town for work because I had a "flat tire." Most people don't even realize they have a flat tire, but apparently, that was enough to get my car towed. I had to pay $400 to get my car back, not to mention the hassle of finding a mobile mechanic (not cheap if you're familiar with this service) to go to the tow company with me to fix the tire on an extremely cold and rainy night - it was the worst experience ever. It was disgusting and ridiculous to think my car was towed on one of the coldest days in Dallas, the day the entire city shut down. I tried reaching out to the management and corporate office, but no one seemed to care about my situation. They just gave me the run-around, and I felt like I was being ignored. Please refer to the email that someone from the corporate office sent me, stating that a regional manager would call me. The email was dated February 7, 2023, and as of today, March 25, 2023, I have yet to receive a call. I gave them well over a month to rectify the situation, but no one cared. So, I decided to write this review to warn prospective tenants considering this apartment complex. My vehicle was towed during leasing office hours, and this is a gated community, so there's no way this was done without the knowledge of the office. The receipt from the tow company clearly shows that the tow was authorized by Sync. I think it's disgusting that the property manager called me to tell me that this was done by the towing company without their knowledge. Mind you, I didn't get a call back from her until I started copying the corporate office in the emails I sent. A courtesy call or warning would have been more ideal, but they care more about the cut they're getting from the tow company. This is not the kind of service I expect from a place where I pay rent every month. I would let your future tenants decide if this is a fair treatment. It's clear to me that the new management is more concerned with making money than taking care of their residents. It makes sense why most tenants are moving out, and the lease renewal rate is low. I used to love living here, but now I can't wait to move out. I hope this review helps others who are considering moving in here to think twice before doing so.

My experience while viewing the community was very pleasant. Dani, the leasing agent, was very knowledgeable about the community. She provided answers to all my questions and was very helpful making a decision.

Nice, well-situated, and affordable apartment community. Good office and maintenance staff. Within walking distance of grocery shopping, multiple restaurants, etc. Trinty River Greenway, Coombs Creek Trail, and Bishop Arts District nearby. Reliable bus service to Downtown, a 10 minute ride.

3 managements since we've been here, this is by far the least in listening and acting regarding dog issues. The "quiet zone" is now a dog pound with dog owner bringing their dogs frequently to poop in the garden area.

I love it here! They are more strict than other apartments that's what I like to feel safe but when it comes to people breaking in the gate is not so great or stealing Packages we need cameras there! So please just add some!

Apartments look very nice as well as the community. Apartments are relatively new and have many great features (stainless steel appliances, wine cellar, nice counters and floors) as well as the complex (nice pool, resident lounge with views of downtown Dallas, pool table, kitchen and another space with some games, darts, air hockey table). The gym is also very nice. However, management could be more efficient for sure. Work orders take 3-4 days to be completed or even more. Plus, you have to call to the office to remind them, but they never pick up the phone. You have to go there, but the hours are just from 10am-6pm, which is work hours for the majority of the people. They work on Saturdays, but it's just to attend new leaseholder prospects. Additionally, the times that I've been to the office (more than half) none of the two desk employees are there. In conclusion, apartments and complex is very nice but management is mediocre.

So far it has been great. I just had a few things that need to be fixed that wasn't fixed before I moved in the place. I'm waiting for some of them to be fix. But so far it's been a great experience. Everyone is so nice and friendly on the staff.

I'm enjoying myself! I was terrified of the transition but it's been a great time. Quiet place. Very clean. The gym has more machines than I thought. My apartment feels almost sound proof! I can't hear a thing. Amenities are gorgeous. I'm excited to spend my time here. Great place for my first move!

Everything has been pleasantly accommodating. I count Ask for a more cozy and comfy place Off residence. So many amenities I have yet to utilize all of them. Very convenient as far as location and close driving distance to surrounding areas.

My first year of living at the Alexan was great, I never had any issues and the leasing office employees were very pleasant to interact with. At the beginning of the year, Sync took over and my experience has not been as great. The office constantly finds issues with things and charges residents before providing a warning. They threatened to tow my car by putting a tow sticker on my car for expired registration. My registration was not even expired, but they were going to tow my car. For someone to walk through the garage and put tow stickers on various residents cars, it just feels unwarranted and a waste of time. They've done other things such as charging a leasing violation fee for something without even providing a warning. I wouldn't recommend living here, I feel like residents are constantly targeted for small things when there are much bigger things for the leasing office to worry about.

I've always enjoyed living at SYNC West Dallas. My kids and I love the amenities, particularly the fitness room. If I had complaints, I wish that the hallways were cleaned and disinfected more often. Pet owners rarely clean up after themselves. And I with SYNC would put cameras at all of the entrances and elevators. I know there have been break-ins, and I think cameras would make the residents safer.

My experience with the whole move in process was pleasant. From the beginning at touring the apartments, through the easy application process and to the orientation and move in. I worked with Selena who is very nice and informative, she walked me through the whole process and was there to answer any questions or concerns that I have had. I am so great that I found my new home at Sync. Thank you Selena!

I enjoyed living at this apartment for the first few months but the switch to new management was confusing and seemed to have caused some issues. I loved my apartment and my neighbors were very friendly. However, because of the high costs I was unable to stay.

Move-in process was a mess. Management doesn't communicate to each other. Otherwise safe community and amenities are great. Parking and proximity to downtown is amazing. The unit was well-kept and clean upon move-in.

The new management team had big shoes to fill given how amazing Greystar management had been. I do feel that the sales ladies try their best to help but the management has not been the best. My apartment is beautiful but leaving my apartment leads to the actual complex being subpar. Machines in the gym are not always working, the hallways are not clean, it smells like smoke and dog poop here recently, elevators are dirty, etc. I pay a high rent for my apartment space but sometimes it feels like the quality of the complex as a whole does not support that high price.

Take my answers with a grain of salt, because I do live near a high foot-traffic area, as well as a small parking lot/drive-thru used for loading and unloading. I really do like this complex despite the noise outside of my doors. The amenities have been great, the staff up front has been very nice and responsive whenever I have had issues with the package service or any maintenance issues. I have overall been very satisfied living here.

***VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH A MANAGEMENT THAT HAD SEVERAL SHOTS TO MAKE UP
Moved to this community in August 2021, a spacious and lovely building. I had no complains, anytime something malfunctioned or anything happened, both the management and the maintenance were promptly on top of it in a matter of hours. Since the building was sold, a ton has changed. Dirty and hardly-ever cleaned floors, corridors and amenities. One of the first things the new management did was change the office hours to 10-6pm, so If you work from 9 to 5, good luck trying to reach them in person. Hand sanitizer dispensers were removed, maintenance was reduced from 3 to just 1 employee (what made work orders that took hours to be resolved now take days, If ever solved), small things like removing the clean towels that used to be available at the gym, or light bulbs (now charged for) show how a new cost reduction mentality was imposed (nice terms for being cheap). The few things that defined this as a higher-end community were wiped out. We started receiving astonishing and abrupt emails telling us to watch out for burglars and always lock doors behind us, because cars were “constantly being broken into”, as well storage units in the garage and “intruders being removed from the property”. The ironic thing is that Ive been trying for MONTHS to have the 1st floor gate—which leads to a sketchy back alley—fixed (a simple loose-latch that wont close by itself fix), to no avail. Its broken till this day, because security is such a high priority. Anytime you complain abou something broken, dirty or malfunctioning, you get the same “its been already noticed and will be taken care in this many days” story. The latest arbitrary and outrageous rule was to change the pool rules, which were, when we moved in, sunday-thursday 7am-10pm and Friday-saturday 7am-midnight, 2 guests per lease holder; now changed to only 2 guests per apartment (so, doesnt matter If you pay more or have more lease holders, everyone is slowed the mere 2 guested) monday-friday 10am-6pm, saturday 10am-5pm and closed on sunday. So, If you work 9/5, good luck in taking a swim in these breezy dallas summer. Allegedly, these new rules are in spite of few people that disrespected the pool area. So, why dont track them down and fine them, instead of making 300+ tenants suffer ridiculous rules? Speaking about fines, it’s all you get now: emails saying “do this, do that. Otherwise, you will be fined this or that, or evicted with a 3-day notice”. Seems like someone did a poor job vetting new people, considering Ive spoken to fellow neighbors who have been in the building since 2020 and never saw the things we are being told that are happening. We love our apartment and the things/amenities we were promised, but day after day, its getting far different from what we started with. I honestly could spend an entire day listing all the bad things Ive heard and experienced since the building was sold, but in fact, I truly hope this and all the other sad stories Im reading serve as an incentive to raise up the quality of an once blooming community.

Very spacious apartment, clean community, great pool and gym. Walking distance to food, grocery, and coffee! Close proximity to highways and my job. I feel very secure and safe at this property. And they have trash valet and a laundry service!

It's been up and down. I don't know any office employees like I did when we first moved in. The office is always closed when I'm home. No one follows the rules of the trash service. I hate paying for it. It's a waste of my hard earned money to pay for this type of service I never asked for.

Overall, this property is beautiful. The grounds include beautiful trees, awesome rocks and landscape. The Office Staff has always been there when I had an issue. Case in point, my truck was stolen, the office staff helped calm me down as I called Dallas Police. The pool has been quite an area of concern since moving in, they are doing a good job at working out compromises to keep us in the pool during the over 100 days in Texas. So, thank you for that. Just toss a little more shock in there and we'll be golden.

Customer service is decent so far. A newer worker wasn't completely knowledgeable about move in procedures but she did her best. Updating trash and pest control systems. Only complaint right now is that they closed the pool for an entire week during peak usage time due to a couple of residents misuse of the area over the weekend.
