I should have realized that the office personnel was an unprofessional bunch when I began the application process. The person helping me did not return my calls as promised. I was promised a $500 gift card upon move-in which I have yet to receive (3 months later). There is no accountability in that office (besides getting the run-around, you hear things like, "you didn't talk to me", "this is the first time I hear of this"....). A certain personnel is arrogant. Another is indifferent and rude. I would say ALL are unprofessional in one form or another. One maintenance man was rude another was nice. The physical place is pleasant to the eye; they have nice amenities but if you are looking for a responsive, caring, professional office staff, this may not be the place for you.

    It never shocks my husband and I to see trash thrown on a freshly cut yard. We live near the front in a large 3 bedroom and our new neighbors across from us (African American) deliberately throw their trash on the yard every single day. -cups, cans, fast food bags. Our little boy has seen this and asked why can't they can keep the place clean. My husband leaves out the back gate and can count 6-7 cups or garbage in the parking lot by the time he exits out the gate. The place at one time was nice. We have been here two years and have seen more African Americans moving in and carelessly bringing the property down with polluting and bring their friends who also throw garbage constantly where ever they want. Can someone say Lazy? Plus they are expecting everyone else to pick up their trash and continue doing so. This complex will be the next hood with trash and garbage spread all over the grounds. If you don't mind living in a trash infested apartment complex with a majority that doesn't care, then this is your place. Anyone else that chooses to be around people that practice clean habits. I advise you to skip this property entirely. You'll be more than happy you did! Thank you and God Bless!

      Stay here at your own risk. This has been the worst nightmare of my life as far as a place to stay. They have the worst management you will ever find. They are very friendly when they are trying to get you to move in, but once you move in, the NIGHTMARE begins. 1) Once you move in, the management people are so rude and unfriendly. They do not care about you. I have never seen such a group of unprofessional rude prople once you move in. Remember, they are real nice before you move in but once you sign that lease, the nightmare begins. ,2) If you have kids, do not move here. It's a very kid unfriendly more so if you live upstairs with your kids. The neighbours will call the police on you on every single opportunity they can get if your kids happen to jump out of bed. Kids are kids and they will play at times. They will also call the police if they think you are talking loud. And honestly, some of the neighbours are outright racist! 3) They have some old maintenance man who is very creepy. He tried to befriend my kids for whatever reason. I just got a bad vibe about him and had to tell him to stay the hell away from my kids. The apartments look nice from the outside but do not be fooled. You will regret living here. I promise you! MOVE HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I am breaking my lease and getting the hell away from this place. I don't even give a damn at this point.

        Seems we are having more crimes and break-ins that are happening in the past few months. Its going down hill and the people they are letting live here, well I can't speak highly of. We are going to move out and move to a more nicer property without all the trash and men working on cars in the parking lot. Gangs, or what look like gangs are hanging out all hours of the night. This property is losing its class and slowly turning into the hood. My husband and I are moving and not looking back. Stay away from this place if you're looking for a real place to call home!

          Was okay when we moved in. We decided to lease with this complex and the staff was nothing but nice... until we moved in. Now they barely care about any issue you have. I had to complain about noisy neighbors 4 times before they did anything (they told me it's not their problem... call the police). I have had the radio stolen out of my car living here. Staff will give you the run around on every issue and are just absolutely infuriating. They took out the rent drop, so now you have to wait for one of the employees to notice you and take you check (which can take a while). Save yourself the trouble and stay away!

            I have slowly watched this property go downhill. Management is letting anyone move in and this means trashy grounds, trashy vehicles, thefts and rowdy tendicies. The other day at the pool I spoke to someone that brought 6 friends, I couldnt find one chair that didn't have shoes and cloths laying across it! I would not tell a friend about this propery with all the low class people moving in.

              apartments are good and maintenance is also quite nice but the management and staff is horrible and sucks they crib on rules which are like doesnt make sense at times n be careful they give u rewards at the begining but trust me they loot u and make u pay for everything thing sometimes even if its their mistake and when u try to resolve u get one answer our policy says ..... horrible experience

                Since moving here 5 years ago, this apartment complex has been in a steady decline in regards to management, safety, maintenance, neighbors, etc. I would highly recommend looking somewhere else. I unfortunately reside in the back of the apartment complex and had my vehicle burglarized 3 times (within 3 years). Most recently (last week), someone broke into my vehicle and stole everything in sight. I do blame this in this large to Amesbury Court not providing enough lighting in this area. Substantial lighting is a cost-effective way to deter this type of crime yet the apartment complex has done nothing to help rectify the situation. I live in fear that every morning I will walk down to my vehicle and it will once again be vandalized. Is that normal for a "gated" community? I doubt it. I've had numerous problems with the A/C unit and once went without a properly working unit for over 5 days during mid-summer. Every discussion held with the management team was useless, for they would blame the maintenance staff and defer the problem to them. After numerous leaks caused by the faulty A/C unit, the damage was never fixed and the wall/molding is completely warped, which I'm positive they will charge me for. If you like to view hoards of trash everyday, then live here! There is only one large trash compactor near the back of the apartment complex that is constantly over-flooding with bags. These bags then get picked over by all the animals and we are left to view trash all over the area. The apartment complex does not routinely remove the trash and it piles up to the point of pure filthiness. It can take them days if not weeks to clear out the trash compactor. No matter what the situation, if you attempt to contact the Management Team, they always either try to put the blame on the residents or someone else. They are never held accountable for the problems that occur within their 'business'. They instantly get on the defensive when trying to discuss a problem or occurrence and routinely suggest that somehow, the problem is yours. I look forward to the day I'm able to leave this poorly run apartment complex and never look back!

                  I agree stay away. We have lived here since August 2012. Have been treated like trash. No respect at all from management . Always some kind of threat about charging you this or that. Waited 3 months to get stove fixed had to wait 2 weeks to get door lock fixed. We were told that some paint touch up would be done when we moved in had to remind them for a month to get accent wall painted correctly and bathroom was never touched up. Was told before move in that we would have new carpet . That didn't happen. I feel like we were taken advantage of because we had to move on short notice.

                    STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Renting here has been the worst mistake i have ever made!! The apartments look real nice and they are cheap are the ONLY good things. Now rhe bad, everything breaks down. Had ac fixed 3 times and apparently one of the maintnance guys told me the prev person that fixed it didnt fix it right on purpose so he could come back and get more overtime. I also had a water leak that took 2 weeks to fix. The people working at the office are HORRIBLE. They are nice when you are planning to rent but after you sign the contract they dont care about you. I have been called a lier by 3 diffrent ladys there including the manager when i would tell them what the other person told me. There response They will lie to you and then look you in the face and say they never did. The corp office is even worse. The mngr will email the corp offoce before you get to speak with them so by the time you talk to corporate they are against you. They also always seem to find ways to add additional charges out of nowhere. I hate this place. Im stuck here for to mote months but not by choice. Stay away from this place.

                      There are definitely pros and cons, like any apartments. Pros: I feel really safe walking around at any time, day or night. No thugs or creepers walking around. When you go outside it is always super quiet. The grounds are well maintained. Management seems to care if you have issues, Brenda is amazing. The apartments are nice inside. Maintenance is prompt, they get back with you in a few days and will even change light bulbs for you. Pest control comes every Wednesday if you need them. No serious issues or noisy neighbors. Plenty of parking. Cons: The day of move in I was sort of disappointed. The apartment didn't look exactly like the model, which isn't that surprising, but a lot of work still needed to be done to it that should have been done before tenants moved in. Be sure and look at the apartment you're going to be moving into, especially if you're a perfectionist like I am. Weird bugs seem to get in on a regular basis. Scorpion (singular so far, not plural), little spiders, ants, rollie pollies, occasional roaches. Maintenance doesn't call ahead of time to let you know what day exactly they're coming. So you don't know when you need to lock your animals in a separate room. There are skunks sometimes roaming around at night. They're often behind bushes, which is really unsafe if you're walking your dog or taking a stroll with your kiddos. Overall I love living here. The issues I listed aren't anything compared to some other apartments. The area is nice and the neighbors are polite. I would absolutely recommend living here.

                        STAY AWAY!!! Place is nice but they jack up the prices and don't give you enough time between their renewal prices and for you to give 60 days notice. If you sign on, you need to have a back up plan for you to move out fast. Forget about corporate, they are the worst I have ever talked to.

                          BED BUGS!!! - BEWARE

                          This place is infested. I am having to get rid of everything!!! Furniture and clothes!! I got them from my shared wall (neighbor) - not sure if they brought them here or if they already existed!! Super gross and I am being charged for the treatments - $500!!!!

                            Good place to live

                            Nice apartments, the price is a little high but nice apartments. My wife and I feel real safe here. We live on the 1st floor and we hardly ever hear the people above us. Neighboors are nice. The lap pool is more of a rec pool so don't plan on swimming laps. $10 a month pet rent

                              stay on top floor!

                              I lived in a two bedroom/two bath. I loved the size. My only problems was the noise from upstairs neighbors. I could hear EVERYTHING. I could tell you exactly where they were in the apartment at all times. Seemed like the tenets weighed 600 pounds but they were average size. Staff was friendly. Just stay on top floor if you can.

                                Do Not Live Here

                                I moved here because of the cheap price, but when I tried to use the online coupon linked to there apartment complex they wouldn't use. I still moved in because the price was better than anything else around. I guess you get what you pay for though. Right after moving in I noticed a wet spot and a smell coming from the closet ceiling and I could hear birds in the attic. The roof was leaking into my closet after submitting multiple requests to have it fixed they finally came to fix it and simply painted over the wet spot and did nothing about the birds flying around in the attic. After another week of waiting and complaining they finally returned to fix it and but they neglected to clean up after themselves and left my room a mess. Which they refused to come clean. A couple weeks after that the smell returned. I tried to tell them that they had birds living up in the attic but they refused to listen and kept doing everything half assed. Finally they agreed to go up and take a look in the attic. That day I returned home from work to find 3 vehicles and approximately 8-10 workers working in the space above my apartment. It turns out there was a huge infestation of pigeons in there and they had crapped all over everything. They had to remove all the insulation and spray chemicals all over the attic to kill the bacteria that was living there. The workers couldn't even go up in the attic without full bio suits and masks on. After this was completed I asked for pictures of the mess but they said they didn't have any even though the guy cleaning it showed me the pictures he took and said he was turning over to the apartment. That was about 2 months ago and still today I can hear birds up there again. I have repeated told them about it and they came out once and said they found nothing. Through all this they never even bothered to apoligize for the inconveinence that this had caused. All I got was a letter saying they did everything they were required to do stuck in my door. When I asked about getting out of the lease they said they would not let me out and I would have to pay the usual fees. I have given up on the staff and maintenance crews they obviously don't care if about the tentants comfort. They will put a note in your door though if you are 1 day late on your rent saying you have one week to pay or you will be evicted. Real nice people.

                                  Beware of the water bill!

                                  This is a very nice aparment complex. My only complaint is the water bill, for January $70, yes $70, as much as my electric bill. I moved from Dallas, where my water bill toped $15. Now, I am guessing that what management is doing is passing on the cost of the sprinkling system to the residents. The sprinklers are on every night (it seems), even if it is 20 degrees outside and its only purpose is to clean the parking lot. Maintenance needs to adjust the sprinklers so it can actually water the grass and not the parking lot. I will certainly not miss the water bill when I move. It truly is ridiculous to pay $70 for water. The bill reads that I am paying $23 for water and the rest is for sewer 1, sewer 2, sewer 3, sewer 4, etc........really? How many sewers are there? Ridiculous to say the least!

                                    I READ THE REVIEWS ON HERE AND SOME ARE CRAZY. LIKE THE WOMAN WHO HAD A PET VISIT AND GOT IN TROUBLE, WELL FOLLOW THE RULES. AND STAFF WHO LIVES ON PROPERTY, DONT JUDGE THEIR PERSONAL LIFE. I KNOW IF I LIVED ONSITE WHERE I WORKED I WOULDNT WANT TO BE BOTHERED AFTER HOURS EITHER. HOW RUDE. I JUST MOVED TO AMESBURY COURT AND I LOVE IT. THE STAFF THAT THEY HAVE NOW OR THAT HELPED ME ARE GREAT. VERY FRIENDLY. THE MAINTENANCE I HAVENT EXPERIENCED YET, BUT EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT IN MY APARTMENT WHEN I MOVED IN AND HAVE YET HAD TO HAVE A PROBLEM. BEEN HERE ONLY A FEW MONTHS AND CAN SAY THAT ITS SO NICE AND ALOT BETTER THAN THE OTHER TWO PLACES I HAVE STAYED BEFORE!! LOVE IT!!

                                      If you want a home that feels like you are living at a resort then you must live here. Hi My name is Heather and I have been here at Amesbury since 2009. I couldn't of asked for a better place to be. It is amazing. Every time I walk out of my apartment I feel like I am living the high life. This place is spacious. Has all the amenities you want. 2 pools a weight room activity room vollyball court and basketball court. You also have bbq grills. When ever there is something wrong they are right there fixing it. If they don't get it done right the first time they come back until it is done right. The staff is great always willing to help. Managment is awesome. It is safe and secure here. Very close to all the near by shopping and restaurants. Very close to me for work. I would recommend this to anyone. The price of living here is good. Nothing bad to say. I love the fact that my garage is right by my apartment. It is clean

                                      I have lived here for over a year and I can say I wold not chose any other apts to live in. The staff here is so nice and VERY helpful. Every time I see them whether it be out on the property or in the office they are ALWAYS smiling. I feel VERY safe living here also because I see the courtesy Officer driving around and checking on things. I have stopped to talk to him and he seems to have everything under control. My door on my laundry room came off and I put a maintanence request in and it was fixed that same day. The manager is so nice also... she treats me like I am a part of her family when I go into the office. We got our whole apt's carpets cleaned for free. She is VERY good at what she does. I see all the hard worker's everyday cleaning and maintaining everything. Like I said before I would NOT live in any other apt complex!!!

                                        Just moved in...

                                        For those of you that review this note I have lived in apartments most of my life and have never recieved the service that I have here at Amesbury Court. I have viewed some of the comments people posted on here and it just seems to me that these people didn't follow the rules or couldn't pay there rent is why they have nothing nice to say. I moved into my apartment this week and everything in it and out side of it is amazing... Couldn't ask for anything more. Those of you that read this note that I would refer you to Amesbury Court in a heart beat. My leasing agent Trisha was amazing and made me feel every reason why I should live here. It was very hard deciding where to live, but she for sure was a big part in my decision. Thank you Amesbury staff for making my stay here so warming.

                                          Great staff

                                          I love the staff at Amesbury Court. They always take great care of me and are always so nice and attentive to all my needs. The maintenance staff always get my work orders done on time. Amesbury Court is a great place to live. The pool is open year round and it has wifi which in Texas thats a great thing with our weather. Parking is great and my family never have a problem parking with they come to visit. The parking lot is well lit and I feel safe. I sent a thank you card to the staff for being so great.

                                            Do Not Live Here

                                            I moved here because I thought the rent was reasonable and the location was convenient. It is a nightmare. First, I was promised the rent special that they were running online, but the day I signed my lease they refused to give it to me. Don't get me started about maintenance; the apartment above mine had a leak in the bathroom which eventually led to water damage in mine, culminating finally to a hole in my ceiling above my shower. I could look up and see rotted out drywall and wood. I submitted THREE requests to get it fixed, and when they finally came over a month later, they cut a huge hole in my ceiling and completely trashed my bathroom. They didn't clean up ANYTHING; there was rotted drywall, debris and wood all over my shower, soap, toilet, floor and sink. I called to have them come back and clean it up, and they didn't come back. When I tried calling again, no one would pick up the phone. Furthermore, each unit is equipped with an alarm hardwired to the wall. Mine started beeping incessantly every 2 minutes, all through the night, and they refused to come fix it. I couldn't sleep for a week. The staff here is incompetent and the women in the office are just plain rude. I have HAD it with this complex and I cannot wait for my lease to be up so I can MOVE OUT.

                                              Maintenance staff is a nightmare. Once you sign a lease they ignore you. and if you dare complain , thier lead maintenance will disable your air conditioner. They take lazyness to a new level. In fact, you would have to call them anti-work instead of lazy.

                                                Seconded. Not worth the money

                                                Like the previous reviewer I initially liked this complex. The office staff was very friendly. The apartments are relatively new and spacious. Everything was clean when I moved in. The electricity bill is reasonable ranging from $75-120 with the average being around $100 for my two bedroom apartment. After I moved in I was less than impressed. To start with I was quoted the price of one floor plan and shown another when I toured the place. I didn't realize this until I showed up to sign the lease. It was not a huge deal as the floor plan I would be paying for still met my needs but I didn't get to tour it before I moved in. Then they lost my lease after I had been moved in for well over a month and I had to redo all of my paperwork. They never dropped a copy off by my apartment like they were supposed to. Since I have moved in the office staff has been a mix of somewhat helpful and rude and inconvenienced by my asking for their help. I put in a maintenance request three times before someone actually came out and did anything. I finally had to submit it on their joke of a website because it was lost twice by the office staff. What they did do didn't seem to help the problem much. I am not sure exactly what was done as the work item was filled out in indecipherable handwriting. Like the other reviewer said the car wash noise is absolutely absurd. I do live on the 3rd floor and the car wash is elevated to just below the level of my porch. The people washing their cars turn their music up so loud I can actually discern which song is being played in any room of my apartment with all the doors and windows closed. The locks on the storage doors are less than secure. There is about a half inch gap between the door jamb and the door where the door latch can be caught and pulled back by anything skinny. Then the icing on the cake came when they stopped signing for packages. No one in the office had any reasonable explanation as to why they were no longer signing for packages and simply blamed upper management as the bad guys. This is a huge inconvenience for me because I am never home when packages arrive. I always have to make arrangements to go pick up packages the next day before work. I finally started having them shipped to a friend's house to save me the hassle. Also the postal worker for this apartment is terrible. He delivers mail for residents who no longer live there. He has lost mail, not left notices of packages to be picked up, given me my neighbor's mail, and given my mail to a neighbor. Needless to say I will not be renewing my lease. I won't go so far as to say I hate this place and no one should move here. However, keep the above items in mind before you make your decision. If you don't need to deal with the office staff and you are able to get a third floor apartment well away from the car wash/gas station then this place might suffice.
