It's much better this time around. We just moved back after moving away from this property for about 7 months. We like it much better this go round. The management company is good. The ladies in the office are really helpful and sweet. So far it's 5 stars. I'll update this if that changes

I haven't yet moved in my move in date is on the 27th, but so far I love it already. Shabaz was the consultant that helped me and he is very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff that I've encountered has been nice and friendly. I can't wait to get the full experience of living here.

I haven't fully experience the stay here but the staff is superb. I was more worried about not getting the application filled out right than anything else. The process was a lot more stressless.

I lived here for almost 2 years in a 1 bedroom 1 bath. I was very pleased with recent management and leasing agents. Things were really just getting better but unfortunatey my job transfered me out of state. I lived in apartment #2101 and i had great neighbor's that will be missed..

I must say yes, I was excited to see things starting to turn around but I am very disappointed to find out that we no longer have Nola as the Manager. It has maybe been two months and another staff change. (smh.. really sad) I really believed Nola and her team was making a difference but I noticed the moral was not the same happy and upbeat spirit when I stopped by the office to pay my rent on Monday. I signed my renewal last month under the impression that the Nola and her team would be there for a while. At this point, I feel it has too many changes for things to get better. When a company has this much turnaround in staffing it is a red flag and time for me to get out. I know it is not the staffing in the office, I can understand their frustration. I mean; with so many different managers how can the staff stay focus. This has to be an upper management issue and it is starting to make me feel suspicious about Greystar. I thought I was clear when I said in my last review, I would love to see this staff stay for a while but I guess that did not matter to the BIG HEADS. Nola was the BEST manager we have had since I have lived here including any other apartments I have lived at. I just loved her positive energy!! I do not think they are going to be able to find another manager who cared about us as residents as much as Nola did. I am in the process of finding another apartment that is not managed by Greystar because they are too inconsistent and unstable!!! The recent staff changes is prove of that.

This is a legitimate posting from a current resident of The District at Westborough, and have been since August of 2014, and just renewed my lease for another 13 months in July. Just to be clear, there are no rewards, perks, promises for posting this review. Before relocating to Katy from a city 90 miles away, I spent many hours of driving back and forth for two months touring different properties, and The District at Westborough won my vote! The layout of the one bedroom apartments is a spacious open concept in the living and dining area. My most-liked amenity is ample kitchen cabinets and island without having to see kitchen sink when you walk in the front door, much like other apartment homes I saw! The other favored amenities is washer and dryer, the garden tub, the spacious bathroom counter with attached linen closet. Oh, and one of my most FAVORED likes is the WALK-IN CLOSET, with shelving! The patio offers a comfortable size area for lounging, with a spacious storage closet. At my lease renewal I opted and moved into a unit with an attached garage after seeing the size of this thing. Oh my gosh, I was sold. This garage is like the regular size of a home with a one car garage, possibly slightly wider. And get this, there is a large enclosed walk-in storage area with its' own door! Okay, you get the idea, I so love and enjoy my home (apartment)! Simply said, regarding to the various posted resident comments, I cannot refute their first hand personal experience, I can only share and speak on mine. Yes, I too much like my fellow neighbors have had my complaints, some are similar or the same as other residents, however it is my personal opinion the pros out weigh the cons. Through each transitional management change over the last 14 months things did not look favorable at times. But through it ALL, when Greystar took over about 5 months ago, I have witnessed improvement. They are working diligently to address resident concerns one at time, maybe not like as in yesterday, but taking on the most challenging first. This is a new property with 340 units, much like any new business, it takes time to work out all the kinks. Especially when inheriting the previous challenges along with new arising one. Allow me to share what works best for me; I love going to the leasing office at minimum twice a week, grab a cup of Joe, go over to the management team to say hello and wish them a successful day (unless they are busy). I appreciate when they are able to take a few minutes out of their busy day to ask how I am doing, if things are going well, if I have concerns, this immediately opens the door to discuss any I might have. It is my way of addressing and creating a positive outcome for most any personal or resident community issue I might be experiencing. This is where I live, this where I call home, and my refuge after at the end of the day after long hours of commuting and work. On a closing note; our October Town Hall Meeting was a huge success due to awesome resident turnout, and equally as important and impressive was the presence of our Greystar Corporate Management. Thank you for demonstrating genuine interest over the topics brought to your attention by your residents of The District, and for welcoming suggestions on what we, would like to see improve or possibly add to our community. A big thank you to our District Property Manager, Nola and her awesome Leasing Team who were the icing on the cake. Tara, you did a fabulous job providing a visual for us by jotting down the topics as they were discussed on the white board, which by the way I've seen in your office. As a resident, I look forward with much anticipation reading plan of action on active building as was mentioned in the meeting. On a closing note, Greystar has my vote of confidence in it is stepping up to the plate to turn things around in a timely manner for our community. Come be a part of The District at Westborough resident community!

I have lived here since shortly after they opened and can't wait to leave. At first is was nice then it started going downhill, more so since they hired Greystar to manage the property. Crime, rude management, and poor construction. Amenities that have been broken for months, but still shown to prospective tenants without letting them know (locked meditation room, broken golf simulator, broken gas grill, broken fire pit). Leaking showers, wood floors on upper apartments instead of carpet means hearing the 100lb+ dogs they allow tenants have run around all night. Rent somewhere else.

please do not live here for three main reason. Safety, contstuction, and customer service. I would like to mention that this place does have valet trash and picks up every weekday, but I live near a garbage can and I don't mind taking my garbage to the trash every once and while. The thing I have to worry about is getting hit by a car. People drive pretty fast here and I have told management to add some speed bumps. I have told two different managers and they just shrug me and say ok. So please watch you kids or pets. Another safety concern is break inns. This apartments have break inns about every month. I know this because they would send letters out every time there is a breack inn. For about 7 months straight we were had a break inns, sometimes two a month. Now some new company has token over and they no longer send out letters to inform the residents of the break inns. Now I have to go to Harris county public records and see that the apetments still have breack inns, but they do not care enough to inform the community. Guess they don't want people writing bad reviews. I can also tell people have break inns because I have seen new doors being put up after they replace the doors that have been damaged from the break inns. BECAREFUL moving into an apartment complex that does not care about your safety. Now on to construction, they claim to be luxury apartments and really highlight that when people are moving in. They even have signs on the lawn stating this. If that was the case then why is place falling apart? I have talked to a lot of my neighbors and they all have stories of doors that do not shut well, cabinets that fall apart, and shower heads that break. I have had a some problems but pat hey are to many to name them all. I can tell you that the walls are not straight in my apartment. I can see the line that seperates the ceiling from my walls and it curves like the Mississippi River. The granite countertops are not sealed and any time you drop liquid on it it seeps through.Next comes the flooding, anytime you get rain it floods in certain corridors and in the buildings that were recently built you have water actually going into the apartments causeing slight water damage. It also floods around the dog park street and other parts of the complex. So if you want a quality well built apartment, this is not for you. Last is customer service. This apartments have gone through many managers and staff. From the top of my head I would count at least four. We now have a new property owner named GreyStar. I like to give these people chance because I can't judge them by the previous management. So when the new and current team came in I gave them a clean slate. Then they did something that disappointed me. My girlfriend was expecting a very important package and I just happened to go the office to pick it for her one day. She was unaware that I had this and she went to the office to go pick it up. She went in and she could here woman talking and laughing in the back. She awaited for a minute and the maintence man walked in and said hold on to my girlfriend. At this time she text me asking about the package. The maintence man went to the back and the ladies that my girlfriend was up front. Again my girlfriend texted me but I didn't repond cause I was at work. I kid you not, ten minutes passed and after the ladies had fins he'd their chit chat one came out and said hello to my girlfriend and she sat down in front of my girlfriend and starting typing away. At that time I finally reponded to my girlfriends text after 15 minutes and not once did they ever asked her what she needed. Good thing I picked up the package or my girlfriend would still be waiting. So if you want a place that has discent customer service , this is not for you. If these apartments where in the 600-700 dollar range I would not expect the poor safety, bad construction and horrible customer service, but I am not. So save your self the headache and stay away. They do have a really nice pool and BBQ area, but on the weekends it gets pack with people. I know for a fact that most of these people don't live here in this community because of the cars they drive that are pretty flashy and I would remember them when I go on my walk around the community. Again, stay away people.

We have been here alost two years. Pros: location is perfect to Katy Freeway, clean design, great pool woth cabanas and stainless grills, our appliances and cabinets are not falling apart (guess we got lucky compared to other reviews) the gym is nice, with a separate wooden floor area for yoga or T25 videos, nice kitchens and floors, sometimes they have events in the main office for residents. There's an option to lease a unit with a nice hunk of enclosed, green backyard$$$ Really no problems with neighbors on our end, but heard of a couple of auto break ins. **Big plus, they fired the latest female manager who was a negative fireball for the office as well as for residents. I've never been treated with such disrespect or scared to ask the office for anything. I had two families that met her, called me and signed leases elsewhere this year. You shouldn't be afraid of people, and I can't tell you how many neighbors expressed their feelings regarding this woman, so I wasn't just "seeing things" or being bias. But, she is GONE, and I've heard there is a happier, courteous, more collected manager on duty. Happy to see this company heard the concerns of their residents and took action. I'm still curious to see who else was affected, yea, it was that bad. CONS It's pricey for what you get. We had a bug problem. Roaches, spider bites at night (we still have the problem, maybe the bug medicine needs to be stronger), and I've seen residents who aren't picking up after their pets, but that's everywhere, I guess. The walls are not paper thin, but if there is a family above you, good luck, it's apartment living a little nicer than average.

I have lived here since last year and have had nothing but good experiences. There have been a few minor things but they are nothing but normal wear and tear in an apartment. My experiences with Theresa the manager has been very positive every time we run into each other in the office. She has been very helpful and I would renew my lease if not for my job. FYI - The amenities have been ready a lot longer than a few months. I know this from personal experience.

Prior to the new management by Greystar this would have been a two star review. Now it is a 1. The buildings were constructed poorly, and it shows. While everything looks shiny and new, in fact, this is not the case. Paint everywhere on the concrete, and over spray everywhere inside. Little or no construction cleanup was done. Constant maintenance issues. Two months after moving in, my apartment had the door kicked in and was burglarized in broad daylight. Many of the residents in my area have had constant issues with police. Etc. Last week cops were at my building twice, once for domestic violence, and once for god knows what. Since Greystar took over the community has experienced a sharp decline. Broken bottles in the parking lot, trashy cars everywhere. Profane low life types at the pool area, complete with loud rap music, etc. Evidence of drug use throughout the community. Loud people out late constantly. And the new lobby staff is rude and inattentive. I was sold on a luxury community. I received a very inferior product. Be very wary, this community is continuing a sharp decline and will not be a safe or comfortable place to live, if it even still is today.

I have been here for 1 year and I am set to renew for a second lease term. I have been very satisfied with everything at the apartment/complex. From one management change to the next I have always received prompt attention. The website works well for communication to the management team and the grounds are always kept very nice. As I type I can't believe the negative reviews I have read, while nothing or nowhere is perfect, I must say I have been pleased with my residence while here and plan on sticking around for another term.

I have been in my apartment for about a week and a half and AT&T uverse has not been available in my building. I informed Teresa and the office staff and they went above and beyond to assist and accommodate me. Teresa kept me abreast of every communication and contact made with the AT&T manger, she offered me to come into the office to utilize the game room to watch cable, she also offered for me to come to the office and to access wifi and to use the computers if I needed to. She really took on the problem as if it were her own. Lou, Jessica, and Brooke also called and emailed the AT&T manger to check the status of the services. I received a called today from AT&T and they notified me that my uverse services will be installed in a couple days. This was a really frustrating ordeal, but all of the office staff really made it easier to deal with!!! I really appreciate you all. I also had a noise issue with a neighbor and Teresa and Jessica addressed my concern professionally and promptly!!! You guys really rock!!!!!

The communication between management sucks! I honestly feel like residents are not a priority, and you are treated as though your issues don't matter! We pay way to much for this so called luxery apartment style living, and receive this type of treatment is very disappointing! I understand things can't be handled at the drop of a dime but don't tell someone you will fix or adress an issue at a certain time and don't show up or call! People have business to run and jobs to go to! The respectful and courteous thing to do is call and at least let us know "something came up" ! We also been dealing with a SEWAGE smell in our apartment for almost two weeks, which therw still havent been a resolution. This new management team (Graystar)has been the absolute worst! The property manager hides behind her desk and is always on a "conference call" when you need to speak with her. Do everyone a favor and take" luxury apartment style living" off your advertisement, because this place falls short of luxery, and at least people won't have high expectations. Take heed of all the complaints at least you've been warned.

******WARNING****** GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! The property manager is worse than our last 3. I have only been here since November 2014, and in the last 6 months we have gone through 3 different property management companies. Our new property manager, with Greystar, has no idea what she is doing and her only defense is to argue with everyone when they go to complain instead of showing concern and taking initiative. I have never had to complain about my living situation until moving to this community. Our apartment has flooded 3 times due to construction issues, not actual flooding in the area. SEVERAL of the buildings have MOLD and our building in particular has had a mice problem. We were broken into earlier this month despite having a cop on the premises to prevent such occurrences. We have 3 lights in our kitchen that only stay lit for a week at a time and the property management company charges us 5 dollars to replace each of them despite not providing the proper bulbs in our kitchens to begin with. THIS IS A PETTY MONEY MAKING SCHEME. They charge you for everything they can and look for any reason to penalize you. I emailed Mack Armstrong who over sees all of the Greystar properties in the Houston area, and got no response. This company has no regard for its residents. You want to move to a place that is run by crooks who dictate your wellbeing as they see fit, come to The District. What happened to the days when property managers actually gave a ----? This experience has been the absolute worst! I feel so violated, lied to constantly, and taken advantage of. Luxury living my ---. WE HAVE A BREAK-IN IN THIS COMMUNITY EVERY OTHER WEEK. I do not feel safe and I would never recommend this place to anyone I care about. I am counting down the days until my lease is up. I GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS.

RUN, RUN, RUN!!!!!! I moved into this apartment last summer and none of the amenities were ever available until about 7 months into my lease. Management is horrible. I voiced my complaints about the property. The manager half listened with her FAKE smile and only offered me a 2% increase on my rent and a month free if I signed a 13 month lease. Why would I want to pay more for an apartment I am not happy with? Pool is always dirty, I seen Big roaches and small roaches in my apartment. Mind you I am a neat freak and not a dirty person. You pay for pest control monthly and still have pest in your apartment. The property is way overrated and don't be fooled into leasing here. Every weekend you see a moving truck and people packing and heading out. I don't many people would renew there lease here. I am not. I will spend my $1200 for a one bedroom apartment somewhere else. This is NOT a LUXURY property!

The most recent reviews are very accurate. This place is crap! They don't do what they say or advertise. Too expensive. If I wanted to live like this I could pay $800 instead of $1300. 40lb pet limit my foot, there are many dogs here that weigh much more than that. Almost no one cleans up after their pets, but I don't fault them because there is almost never any pet waste bags at the pet stations. Upon moving in I was told that there were extra sound barriers between the floors. Yeah right, I suppose that's why it sounds like a basketball team lives upstairs. Weekly resident events? When? Not since I've been here. Management has completely changed 3 times in less than a year. Greystar fired the only good part that worked here, that was Eddie and Andrew, they were the prior maintenance team and they were great. Our dishwasher (water splasher, because that is all it is good for) had the water lines backwards. I didn't know plumbing was rocket science! I would give this place no stars if I could. Safety, tires slashed, car mirrors broken, a truck stolen, so you tell me.

Recently, Greystar took over a community in Katy, TX at the District at Westborough. Previous to this, I would have given this property 3-4 stars. When Greystar came aboard, one of the exiting employees from the previous management deleted the database containing all the information for our key fobs and the gates were not responding. Greystar decided to leave the gates open for a week. During this time, our unit was broken into during daylight hours. The manager was quick to give us excuses such as "a gate doesn't guarantee safety" and other such Cover Your A$$ type things. Here are a couple of facts that she neglected: 1) An open gate, with no other security, also doesn't deter a break in. The original website, now taken down, explicitly stated a luxury gated community. The simple fact this community has a gate, with warning signs, is considered implied warranty. See #3, below, for how their inaction for reprogramming is key. 2) I submitted a request with the office to have the outside hall lights in our building replaced since 2 were out and it was always dark. The guy I spoke with was a 'Temp' and they were quick to point that out, again covering their butts. One of the leasing girls told us "He was temporary and is no longer with us, we can't know what he said." There is a precedent of reasonable expectation that the management company will place people, that directly deal with residents, have some semblance of continuity and competency. Otherwise, this person was merely a warm body and should not have been given such responsibility. 2a) The day after our break in, the lights in the hall were magically replaced. Thankfully, I documented the lights being out, after the break in, via video. 3) The day after our break in, they finally got the hint and started to re-add folks to the database. A neighbor of ours informed us that several days earlier, they had their key fobs reprogrammed meaning that they had the capability all along and should have taken measures to reprogram the resident's fobs but didn't. Leaving the gate open seemed, to them, to be a better solution. No notices were sent out to inform the residents of the change of management and subsequent deletion of the database. No warning was given to residents that the gate would remain open 24/7 for a week and that extra care should be taken. They simply made the decision and let us deal with the consequences. 4) The manager claimed that they are not responsible for safety and security. The responding sheriff disagreed. You can put that type of language in a lease however, if someone is injured, your property is vandalized or broken into due to a direct action of the management company, they are responsible. 5) After our break in, the manager said a notice would be sent out to residents about taking extra precautions. No such notice has been sent out. It has been 2.5 weeks and again, reasonable expectation would dictate a notice be sent out immediately. There a few other facts that I cannot disclose at this time. If you are a non-employee of Greystar and wish to know more, feel free to send me a message on here. I feel it's important to know the 'policies' of a company that will be controlling your lease, for potentially a year, prior to moving in.

BEWARE!!!!!!!! The absolute worst living experience you could ever imagine and Greystar has made it worse! We have seen numerous management teams that only last an average of three months here. This is the worst complex for its price. Don't let the amenities trick you into the cheaply constructed apartments with the most complacent property management. The grounds are not kept clean. In fact, they have not been cleaned once since we moved in. Trash guts and broken glass have been in the hallways for months. To make matters worse the pool is always green from bad chemical maintenance and the trashcans are overflowing. Landscaping is falling apart, the weeds are growing everywhere and trees are falling over all of the time and not re planted or fixed. It's an absolute rip off to live here and the staff should feel bad for the horrible living experience, but instead works you over. I would hate to see what further nightmare unfolds here after another year in business.
