The Retreat at the Woodlands is excellently located in a quiet area of The Woodlands. The community is smaller than most, making the living experience more personal. The management does a great job at ensuring a high quality of living, and the staff even greet residents by their first name. In addition, the apartment community is exceptionally well maintained and the apartments are very high quality.

The management and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They made leasing and moving in so easy. The clubhouse and grounds are beautiful and clean. This is a beautiful property. The staff is absolutely amazing! The property manager sincerely cares about the residents, and has a wonderful attitude. The grounds are kept immaculately, and the pool and clubhouse make me feel like I am living in a resort. I love getting home after a day of work and feeling like I'm on vacation. We thoroughly searched The Woodlands area for an apartment, and we found the best one! We have lived here since 2012, and I can't imagine living anywhere else.

The Retreat at The Woodlands is most definitely a RETREAT!!! Because as soon as I stepped through the door the customer service was exceptional!! And I'm a stickler on customer service. I came to the complex at the last minute (An hour before closing) Christopher Moore greeted me with a smile and wonderful attitude, he answered all my questions that I had regarding availability, pricing, and the complex itself. He took me around the property showing me every inch of this place, as well as explaining to me the upcoming work that they plan on doing to the property in the near future which I thought was really nice! Once Mr. Moore showed me the unit I was in love! It was so spacious, lots of cabinets and storage space which I need more than anything, the open kitchen was to die for, and the closest was awesome! For a one bedroom. "I'll take it" was all I could say. We got back to the office to get the paperwork filled out and processed which didn't take long at all. At the end of it all Mr. Moore did it all with a smile and he was very patient he didn't make me feel rushed even after they closed, he took his time and that really spoke volumes to me on how they do business/value great customer service here at The Retreat at The Woodlands. I really appreciate that because first impressions are everything and they made a good on me ?????? I can't wait to move in. Thanks Christopher and The Retreat.

When we moved to The Woodlands, we found The Retreat by accident, but immediately fell in love. The staff is amazing and you really get the feeling that they are glad you are here. We love our apartment and all the community has to offer. The residents are great and we have become friends with quite a few neighbors. Thanks for making this a great place to live.

Retreat at the Woodlands has an incredible concierge staff as well as the leasing and management professionals. The maintenance have done a great job and are very prompt getting to our requests. It is a dog friendly community with beautiful apartment homes and pool area. My experience here the last 2 years has been amazing..

The retreat is a wonderful relaxing place to live. We have been here a year now an just renewed are lease.The grounds an pool area are well kept, the apartments area very clean an spacious ,if I ever had a problem they are there immediately . The staff it self are wonderful, they go above and beyond , everyone of them , including the maintenance team. There's great events an social gatherings , that bring out fellow neighbors which is nice especially for us moving here from another state an not knowing anyone ,Now we have made a great group of friends that have also become like family....it's a gated an safe environment and I would highly recommend living here.

I just moved in to The Retreat. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is easy to contact and willing to help. The units are designed beautifully, lots of natural lighting. The location is great, too. There are many grocery stores, restaurants, and other shopping stores within a short distance from the apartment complex.

I have lived at the Retreat for 15 months. The staff is fantastic to work with and go out of their way to ensure that each resident has their needs taken care of. I travel a lot and the included concierge service is very helpful and much appreciated for those things I cant be there for. All fo the residents are friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent! It is quiet and secluded, but close to I-45 and 35-40 minutes to downtown (depending on traffic), close to shopping, etc. I moved to the area from out of state, and I am more than satisfied with my experience here!!

THE WORST place to live , no parking, the staff is horrible, and the day we left we hired someone to clean the apartment and leave it very clean, and I wanted to charge more than $ 900 by saying that I had left it dirty, try to communicate with them to talk about this issue but no answers from them. We hire a professional cleaning and left the apartment super clean. Please NEVER stay at The Retreat Apartments over The Woodlands !!!!!!

The retreat is a place you can call a home. Very neat , beautiful finishings, safe area , good neighours and neat swimming pool.. Oh I really miss the retreat. Above all the management is excellent, they want to be sure you're satisfied at all times.I'll recommend it for anyone who wants good value for his money without regret . They always treat you with respect (black/white//-------- etc) equall treatment. I'll recommend here over and over again because it worthy. I lived there with 3 kids for 2yrs and they collected like $400 when we moved out which I don't consider ridiculous because I want residents to also enjoy the neat apartment even more we did. plus modern and energy efficient appliances that never disappoint me at anytime. Lovely apartment

Level of noise heard is very high. My neighborhood is using fan in the bed room every night even in December!! and we can not sleep in the bedroom. We are sleeping in the living room. I informed office staff several time but no improvement. We are suffering not living

Buyer beware... We moved into a unit that had never been lived in before. General - No parking in some areas. - You can hear through the walls - The appliances don't always work - The maintenance guy said, "just unplug and plug the dishwasher until it works". - You are responsible for all the bulbs in the apartment: no matter how long you've been there. No big deal until you find out only Lowe's carries them and they're $8 a piece. Safety - Let me just say, we had to buy a gun. - When we lived there, doors were being kicked in and apartments robbed. - I'd recommend looking at the reports explicitly showing the rise in crime in that area. We followed all the rules, made sure not to scratch a thing and still came out with a $7,000.00 bill at move out! That was after they reduced our deposit of course. Riverstone corporate said we were given the wrong information by management and there is nothing they can do about it. Just RUN!!!! There are much better deals out there.

The community is small, but that is what I found nice about the community. I didn't see a lot of parties, trash, broken down cars, etc. The community seemed well taken care of. The sold the idea that because the community is small, they are able to provide better customer service, quicker response time on work orders, and a better living experience. They mentioned a phrase I heard at another community downtown and it was, "effortless living". It is neat concept, and many of their amenities cater to that idea. I would recommend living there, and I plan on moving in later this fall.

I toured this community and fell in love with it. The pool area was absolutely breath-taking. I really loved that the gym offered a children's area being that I have an 8 year old. The staff was super friendly and told me all about their inclusive concierge service which I thought was really unique. I would love to make this place my new home so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this job offer to come through.

The community was a little challenging to find if you are not familar with the area. We toured the community on a Saturday when they were very busy, but the staff did a great job of welcoming us. They had a lot of things to keep us entertained in their clubroom while we waited. We really liked the 2 bedroom apartment. The vacant apartment was clean, bright, and full of snacks for us. Once our house sells we will really consider moving to The Retreat.

We moved here after my husband was relocated. The people living in the apartment above us have made sleeping a challenge for us and our baby. I have been woken up at 3 am with stomping sounds while wearing earplugs to sleep! The lady above us lets her kids run in the apartment at all hours of the night. We often wonder when these people sleep, since they certainly do not during the day when the constant noise continues. For the record, we have lived in many apartments with neighbors above us, so we know about noise and apartment living, but this is ridiculous. The original management told us we needed to have the noise confirmed by a third party three times in order for them to do anything. We had the noise verified twice by the maintenance guys and once by the courtesy officer who lives here, and they still continue with the noise. I reached out to the management and all they told us is that they will review the file to see if they were sent a notice and we never heard back. The new management came, and we were hopeful. I had the noise verified by the maintenance guy fourth time and called the office and told them about the past. The lady seemed like she wanted to help. I told her we will have to move due to these circumstances. She offered to look into relocating us to a different unit. I m sure she had the best intentions of helping, but why should we be the ones that have to move? We did everything we were told. The people above us are the ones in violation of their lease. Also, whoever moves into our unit will have the same issue. If anything, those people need to be moved. After our conversation, I was told they would call me back after the Thanksgiving holiday, and I have received no call to date. It looks like we will have to move. It has been an exhausting stay at the retreat. The management has done a poor job of protecting our rights for peace and quiet, but has done a great job of protecting the noisy neighbors. We have looked into this in great detail, and surprise we also have rights! Your rights as a tenant include the right to quiet enjoyment as it is called in the law. This means the landlord cannot evict you without cause or otherwise disturb your right to live in peace and quiet. If other tenants in your building are disturbing you, you should complain to the landlord. The landlord has a duty to see that you are protected from other tenants wrongful behavior. Of course, you may not disturb other tenants either. Except under certain circumstances and subject to certain conditions, a landlord may not interrupt utilities to a tenant unless the interruption results from bona fide repairs, construction or emergency.
