Slum lords - worse apartment experience of my life -- ZERO STARS

Pros --Eagle Harbor Apartments are in the subarbs --close proximity to grocery stores, doctors' offices, fire station, neighborhood schools --small town --safe neighborhoods surrounding Eagle Harbor Apartments --Eagle harbor apartments is safe Cons --the apartment unit I rented was condenmable by county standards --the apartment unit should have been condemned --I feel like I was discriminated on based on income --discrimination is hard to prove in a court of law --the apartment unit caused me to be physically ill and the landlord refused to do anything about it --My physical illness was caused by damage to the carpets, big bug infestation, and bad ventilation etc --Their was a big bug infestation bc of damage to the carpets that were not caused by me and in order to resolve the big bug infestation, the carpet had to be replaced completely and so did the damaged fake tiled floors due to water damage etc--Their were over a thousand dollars worth of damages to the unit when I moved in and I filled out a repair sheet of everything and nothing was done. It actually cost me more to live at Eagle Harbor Apartments bc they are slumlords than if they were not. --I do not apperciate being treated as awful as I was by the staff at Eagle Harbor Apartments - it was very unacceptable and very unprofessional. --I would never recommend renting any apartments by the Breeden Corportion to my friends and family.

    Unfortunately my experience has not been good. I am still waiting for the issues to be resolve. The apt smell like dogs and it has causes my allergies to get out of control as I have allergies to dogs.

      My experience was horrible I live in a ---- hole with actual ---- it was disgusting and no one did anything about it ( I reported it many times) the staff were horrible and from my time staying there they stole many things. Ps Rachel you’re a ----- ?? If you want to move here don’t

        The worst apartment / rental we have ever encountered . My husband And I are currently sitting in our rented garage on Christmas Eve in the freezing cold waiting for someone to assist us with out garage door. It suddenly on decided to absolutely stop working and will not Close and there is no Way to Close it manually . If we didn't have thousands of dollars worth in this garage we would just leave it. The maintenence supervisor received my message at 5:59 And did not respond until at 6:15 I finally said can you please tell us what to do and at that point he said to figure out the number to emergency. Which he refused to give me . This is just to add to the million of other complains we have encountered. We moved and the apartment was dirty not ready , we did not receive access to our mail for 21 days, our phone calls and requests are always pushed aside and I basically have to harass them to get them to answer any simple questions. The bill is not itemized and ends up being $200 extra for whatever reason they decide to make it that. I could do this all night long ! Don't do it!!

          It is not luxury living. Everything is the cheapest possible stuff. Our dish washer wouldn't ever wash dishes, and maintenance told me dishwashers are not made to wash dishes, just sanitize. We had a problem with constant mold on our windows, and we were told that it is the Virginia climate. Really it's the cheap windows. There were puddles on the window seal almost every morning. We had mold on 2 pieces of furniture when we moved out. It was always humid in the apartment. Our water bills ranged from $175-$250 A MONTH. No one could ever give me an answer as to why it was so high. The complex manages the water bill, so they can charge you whatever they want. I spoke with the water company, and they thought our bills were WAY too high. Maintenance is a joke. We had water pour through the light above our shower 3 times before they actually did something about it. They got onto us for not contacting them earlier (which we did all 3 times). The office staff forgets to put in work orders and misplaced my move out paper work. When we moved in, they forgot to clean our apartment, so it was filthy! They did give us some money back for that. Make sure you mark every problem on your move in sheet. Our carpet had spots on it, but we were charged for them when we moved out. The "free" internet doesn't work very well. The pros are that it is a nice area, and we felt safe.

            Bedrooms are not large in size for furniture..very cramped and no linen closets. Also cable contract has not been updated to offer other options. Apartments are not sound proof... disturbing noises ...been reported since initial move-no improvement.

              Things could be maintained better for the price. It is stated that we have security from Guardus but I think since I moved in 4 years ago, I??™ve only seen them once maybe twice. I think the stairwells and common areas need to be checked and maintained more often. All in all, I feel comfortable living here but I just think for the price, the all around upkeep of amenities, common areas, & some maintenance issues could be better. I will say, they have new maintenance people now and it does seem to be handled more timely and with better quality.

                The staff is very helpful and friendly as well as maintenance. The apartments are very well kept and modern, and the area they are in is very convenient. Grocery stores, dining are either a walk away or a short drive.

                  I've had no problems. The rates are extremely steep, but I didn't have any other real options when I moved back out here. Everything is nice and clean. The staff are friendly, the nearby businesses are wonderful, and the apartments are quite cozy.

                      It's been a great experience. The management is great along with the amenities and landscaping. a beautiful place to call home whether its temporary or you plan to renew your lease more than once.                         Very nice quiet place to live. I love here in 2017 with my two children. It is so convenient to the grocery store and restaurants that we often walk on nice days. The property is dog friendly and they provide several areas with bags for convenient waste disposal.

                          Very friendly staff, they are always helpful. Property is well maintained. I feel safe walking my dog and have met several of our neighbors. Impressed by the regular community activities. We have lived here for almost a year and have had no complaints. Any concerns are answered or addressed quickly. We enjoy living here, which we could not say about previous apartment complexes I have lived in.

                            Please address the above issues on survey. Dog poop near entrances and sidewalks. Grass balled out around entrances. Dogs not on leashes and in the pool area. Dog owners not picking up poop. Breezeways dirty and bad stains from tenants putting out garbage 2 days early and it leaking around door ways. Tenants putting garbage out on holidays.

We've been living in this apartment for three or four years we would like it paint it but of course you would told her that will never happen so no matter how many years were here no appliances will be changed no apartment or no painting will be done

                                    The staff is very friendly and accomodating. There have been some instances where there has been noise pollution from guests of neighbors hanging around outside until 2 in the morning???but on the usual it is extremely quiet. The apartment is spacious for the price and the location is close enough to Newport News and Smithfield to do shopping or go to restaurants.

                                              We have had a great experience with Eagle Harbor Apartments. The community is clean and quiet, and we love living in the Carrollton area. The staff (esp. Susan) are wonderful, and they work hard to make sure we have our needs met. We really enjoyed using the pool, sand volleyball court, and other amenities. All are kept up very well.

                                                  Maintenance staff is a regular issue that requires multiple trips to fix issues and in some cases never fix the issue. This complex is gradually getting run down due to poor upkeep and lack of attention by maintenance staff.
