Great people, friendly and love the fact that animals are welcome. There is a issue with the stairwells not being cleaned and the same piece of trash is laying out already a week. I do not like the cobwebs that appear a lot on the balcony but clean them off. I would recommend this for a short time. Not sure yet about permanent. I have not got the first water bill so cannot comment on that but from reviews I will keep an eye on it.

It has been an amazing choice for my kids and I. The management and maintenance are top notch, and I tell people how great the community every chance I get. I have had several personal issues and the management, not only worked with me, but assisted in solutions with compassion and understanding. My children love living here and I honestly don't see myself moving for a long time.

My husband and I just moved in July 29,2016 at the suggestion of my son who checked it out for us. We loved it right away. It is quiet, attractive, has stores near by and our doctor is right across the street. It is also close to our rental property which is nice.

I will just list all the problems with this dump!!! I would have to write a novel if I didn't. Roaches, break ins, Ants, toilets that emit sewer gas in the apartments, horrible staff, loud neighbors, thin walls and ceilings, dirty pool, dog crap everywhere (even on the sidewalks), maintenance does the least to get by, and a nice dirty unit to move into!!!!!!! So much more! Run, Run, Run. Also, make sure you turn in your notice to vacate or management will extend you 2 months.

The initial move in was horrible. Apartments should be livable as soon as you sign the move in lease. I never experienced anything like this in my life. The perimeter up keep is infested with cobwebs, the stairways are in need of a major pressure washing, and the garages malfunctions. I'm not sure how anyone can let a place go down with onsite management!

I love it here! I always feel safe and my two bedroom apartment is very clean and spacious. You can hear children playing outside but for me that is a plus. I also like that it comes with the washer and dryer and refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. Two thumbs up!!

Area is quite - rural, not city. No problems with minor maintenance and package delivery and pickup at main office. Shopping is convenient. Easy commute across James River Bridge to Newport News. Cable TV/internet included in rent complimentary trash pickup Monday-Friday.

I have had a positive experience this far here. The appliances could've been better. For the price the apartment is small and I feel the tenants should choose the flooring. The apartment complex has too many hidden fees. Management is very helpful and friendly.

I have lived here for several years. The community meets my needs for a local place to live that is near my place of work. This community is well-run and generally does a good job for its residents. I like it for its convenient location and the proximity to services such as grocery store, some restaurants, animal clinic, federal credit union, and the like. It all helps with the daily grind of living.

Great experience living here! The community is very quiet and family oriented. Can't really say anything to negative. I have been here for several years and really wouldnt want to stay any where else. I wished the apartments came in 4 bedroom or townhouse style.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!!! If you read reviews before making decisions or even if this is the first time you have, please strongly consider what I have to say! This was actually my second time living in Eagle Harbor Apartments. I lived in a one bedroom apartment when I was single and really liked it. In fact when my husband and I were looking for a place to stay temporarily while our new house was being built, I insisted that we live here again because of how much I did like it the first time. THE SECOND TIME WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!! First of all they are way overpriced for what you get...and that's an understatement if you live in the "Phase 1" apartments. We paid $1314 for a tiny 2 bedroom apartment. We had originally only intended to be there for 3 months, but unfortunately ended up being there for 6 months. When it came time for use to sign an intent to renew our lease for 3 more months we signed indicating that we wanted to stay at the same rate unless it was changed. I assumed that if it were to have changed that it would have been indicated on the intent to renew prior to it being given to us to sign. When we went to sign our new lease the manager had hand written in (coincidentally after it was turned back in signed), that our new rate would be $1340. Oddly, that could not have been done before they had us sign it. This rate does not include that water bill that you pay with your rent each month...which is OUTRAGEOUSLY unbelievable. Our water bill one month was I believe $62.00 and the sewage was over $90, making our 1 month water bill over $150 for just me my husband and our 1 and ½ year old son. In my condo that I previously owned before moving here I paid about $100 for water/sewage EVERY TWO MONTHS...something doesn't make very much sense there!!!! This is just the tip of the iceberg! Not to mention that the apartment was dirty when we moved in. I had to get a "Mr. Clean" magic eraser to scrub the black foot stains out of the shower, because it had clearly not been cleaned. The appliances are old and not updated. One day when I went to open my microwave the entire bottom of the handle detached. So of course the maintenance fix was just to put some super glue on it...and our dishwasher....well lets just say that sounded like a jet was landing in the living room. When maintenance came in to "inspect" the smoke detectors, one of them had been cracked and duct tape was placed over it (which I had not noticed until the inspection). Obviously the duct tape just popped off again, so he just tried to restick it on there rather than put a new cap on the detector. Naturally about a day later it popped off again and finally they had enough sense to put a new cap over the detector. Finally when it seemed like the nightmare was coming to an end, we checked out and paid our final OUTRAGEOUS water bill. A few days later we received an email stating that our final statement was $638.64. What????!!!! They said that our carpets were "saturated in pet urine." Yes we do have a dog, however she has NEVER had an accident, yet somehow our carpet was "saturated!" As a matter of fact I remember making the statement to my mom and husband that one day when I was laying on the floor in my son's room while he was playing, I smelled urine on the floor. So it is my guess that the previous tenants before us had pets and this was where the problem occurred, which would make perfect sense with how poorly they do everything around there in terms of inspecting. So we were charged for something that was not our responsibility. I was pissed!!! (excuse my language). I have no problem paying for things that I legitimately owe, however I have a HUGE problem paying for someone else's problem. When I called and explained this to the manager she replied with, "Did you note that on your move in inspection sheet?" I stated, no I had not in fact gone around sniffing the floors upon moving in, which is clearly a requirement if you decide to live here. Like I said before, I didn't notice the smell until I was laying on the floor in my son's rooms which was at least a month after we had been there. Note to self...sniff every single inch of your carpet if you decide to live here to see if it smells like pee when you move in. This is obviously a requirement for a new tenant. I am actually more concerned now that my family and I were living there for 6 months on unclean urine saturated carpet, but surely paying to live in "luxury!" These apartments will do anything they can to rip you off!! They pride themselves on being luxurious and are anything but that. In order to post my rating, I have to give it a star rating and it will not let me post without at least clicking on 1 star....but it does not deserve even that!!!! Do yourself a favor...live somewhere else!!!!

Love the apartments! Very safe community, and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The apartment I live in is brand new and the kitchen is absolutely beautiful. It is also nice to know that I can have a pet if I desire to have one.

Overall this has been a positive experience, but my apartment was filthy when I moved in. I complained and was granted a $150 credit. The staff is nice, and the ammenities are great. The place is fairly quiet and very dog-friendly.

I have owned my own home for many years. Recently I moved into the apartment complex and was concerned I might be giving up some privacy. Obviously, in this setting, you do give up a little bit. But, the positives of living in this complex far and away out weigh the minimal loss of privacy

Not bad some people look a little ------ that live here though. Having all the amenities like cable is a plus the gym a/c is also set on 78?°F which i think is a little uncomfortable. The staff is very friendly also.

Great location, close to everything in Hampton Roads. Staff is friendly though militant; maintenance is quick to fix any problems with the apartment. Quality of the apartment is above average inside and out. This is mainly a quiet neighbor, loud partying and such is normally quick to end. It is typical apartment life; if you live on the 1st or 2nd floor then you will hear the person in the above apartment stomping around, you will hear them talk out on the balcony/patio, you will hear some music/tv at times, you will hear them banging around in the kitchen and throughout the apartment... For the location and how nice the grounds are maintained and how nice the apartment is (W&D included), the price is justified...for me.
