Not worth the price
My wife and I have lived at Eagle Harbor for a little over 6 months now, and I can honestly say, I am not impressed. The over-head noise and parking situation make the rent i currently pay outrageous. For the amount I pay monthly, I expect a lot more. It is not uncommon to have to walk 2 or 3 buildings down just to get to your unit. Over all the area is very nice and I have not had any issues with vandalism or "------" blasting late at night. If they were to resolve certain issues such as restricted placement or notify the new tenants 'before' move-in that there is a noisy tenant above, and you'll never hear the end of them, then they might get my reccomendation. But until then... yeah, you get the idea. Overall, beautiful buildings, landscape. Crappy parking and noise issues.

Great Apartments
I think the over all atmosphere of the community is wonderful. It is a great place to start a family, and on the plus, Eagle Harbor offers more than just a pool, as most other apartments, that's all you get. They have the pool, the gym, the tanning beds, and ponds for fishing. You can also take advantage of Eagle Harbor's home amenities, such as the water park, and golf course. Yes, at times, noise is expected, but when you live with neighbors on top and below you, what do you expect? The security is very good, as a lot of police do live in the apartments, and the grocery store and surrounding shops are very convenient. I recommend Eagle Harbor Apartments.

Eagle Harbor is a GREAT PLACE to live
First of all people should have their facts straight before posting their thoughts. The car that was "stolen" happened to be stolen from another place and someone parked it in front of my building. The comment about this not being a safe place because of the Bloom incident? They caught the guy before he even left the store. PEOPLE! crime can happen anywhere even in the most prestigous communities, we cant control what and where stupid people are going to do something. I have never had any problems with maintenance, they always knock and yell "maintenance" everytime. The maintenance team is also efficient, they get to your needs in the same day and they are very polite. I thought I should post something positive on here because I feel that Eagle Harbor is not getting the recongition they deserve. Everyone is friendly, and its a quiet place to live. I highly recommed Eagle Harbor Apartments.

worst place ever for the price
ALL they want is money and everything there is cheap and most of the staff there is rude and not very helpful . I dont feel its a very safe place to life and its also it takes forever to get anywhere. pulse they are all ways changing there rent prices. Also they all ways have power surges which can and will ruin anything you have pluged in at the time. and yes there pool is open all year around but u cant really use it all year around because it to cold and the pool is not heated. Dont wast your time and money on this place look around because there is much much much better places. Also they are all was doing yard work super early in the morning like everyday. and parking is so crazy you can almost never find a parking spot next to your apt.

Love these apartments
I love living in the eagle harbor apartments. Seriously, everyone complaining needs to go live in Jersey Park or something. Everyone in the office is so sweet, I love the gym, the pool, the tanning bed.... I'm proud to bring friends over.

I lived in Eagle Harbor for three years, so I feel like I have a pretty good idea about them. The location was perfect in relation to where I worked. It was also very nice having the grocery store and a few places to eat that were right across the street. The apartments were alright; there were times when I could hear the neighbor's tv through the thin walls. They are very energy inefficient; I had an electric bill over $160 one month in a three bedroom apartment! If you like to run or ride bikes from where you live, this is not a great place, because a major highway and narrow back roads are the only roads to run/ride on. I only got in the pool one time, and I never used the grills, but it was really irritating when the community management said no one could go in the pool area after 8 o'clock, because many of the people that work there don't even get home until 7:30 or later. Overall, I thought that the apartment community was adequate. My main problem was that the apartment management were very disagreeable, inflexible, and resistant to working with you on your problems.

sounds like all these complainers need to move to the ------ where you belong
It's pretty amusing that all the comments here are from people who don't like on site police officers. That it's too quiet, that there are too many rules. That you shouldn't play loud music or have drinking parties on your balcony/patio. My advice to you is go move to the projects where you clearly belong. Where all the other trashy, low-lives, who are non-educated and don't speak properly live. That's the difference between a nice community and a ------ like Norfolk or Hampton/Newport news. Rules are followed to ensure a nice community. Thank goodness for rules and respectful people. Go back where you came from. I don't want people like that living here anyways.

Not Bad
I think that Eagle Harbor is a beautiful community. The office staff has been really nice. The bedrooms and the living room in the 2 bedroom apartment are a little small, but overall it is a very nice apartment. I love the fact that cable and internet are included in the price of the rent. I wish that there was more than one garbage dumpster and perhaps that there were a hot tub in the pool area, but other than that I have no real complaints. At this time, I would most definitely recommend this complex to a friend or family member.

Prison Camp
I am a frequent guest here at Eagle Harbor and have seen SO much negativity. Not just personally, but also from talking with other tennants on a regular basis. I was totally embarrassed, when I was a guest in my friends home and we found ourselves harassed by the "off" duty police officers. Their famous lines they use from what other tenants have said and what they told me was is "we received a complaint", therefore, it's open season on all of us. Honestly, we were just on the patio having a nice evening, not loud, but because wine(alcohol) was being consumed in the privacy of the home, it was a big taboo. My friend have given his notice, thank goodness, and will be gone in 2 long months. Oh, and don't play music, if you can hear it from one room to the other in your apt, it's too loud and you WILL get a "complaint". I have the utmost respect for officers of the law, on duty and off, but seriously, can we please focus on getting the "real" criminals out there and stop the harassment? I see Eagle Harbor going downhill fast, you know what they say, bad news travels faster than good. Do not rent from here, you will be very unhappy and feel like you're in a prison. And if you have small children, forget it, you'll get "complaints" ,also, no playing Frisbee on the grass, gee, let's send them out to the parking lot. The management is horrible. If your reading this review to find an apt, arrow back to your search engine and look elsewhere.

You'll Be Sorry You Did!
If you want to live in a bootcamp military style lifestyle, this place is for you. You are constantly harassed by roving patrol cops, 24 / 7. Management will leave letters on your door for any complaint without talking with you about it. In other words, If I don't like a neighbor, all I have to do is complain and they will reprimand them without researching issue. All of these go in your file whether you have done anything wrong or not. Landscaping has no bearing on my lifestyle and thats about all this place has to offer, Don't do it, you'll be sorry you did.

nice apartments.......NOT!!
Eagle Harbor are nice apartments, but looks is not all that matters. Expecially when you're living here. Too many harrassing cops, non-helpful mananger. You can hear EVERYTHING thats going on inside your apt. I mean everything as in hearing your neighbor vaccuum! Very annoying! I would go look else where if you're looking for apt. Will regret living here. Had several other residents in my building, as well as others, complain A LOT about eagle harbor and couldn't wait till they're lease was up. Since breaking lease early, they rape you, so you kinda have to wait. Even though they end up raping you in move out anyway. DONT MOVE HERE! WILL REGRET IT 110%!

Great Apartments!
I have lived in other luxury apartments in the hampton roads area and Eagle Harbor is the best I've seen. It is only a few years old and very clean. The management staff here is the best I have ever dealt with. They are very proactive with any suggestions or requests you have. The pool, gym and gas grills are available 24x7. A few police here is a good thing. I have not heard of any negative things except a few partiers that posted negative things on this site. Hight speed internet, TV Cable and full size washer and dryer included in the rent. There is only one other Class A luxury apartment in the Suffolk area, but it does not compare to Eagle Harbor.

The apts. are very nice if you want to pay a hefty price, we started out paying a certain amount when we first moved in and every year since then everytime you re new your lease they hike the rent price up like 30.00, The apt are not well insulated you can hear any and every little noise above below and outside your apt.. the staff is helpfull and quick and maintance as well but they are to prices for what amount of space you get, you are better off renting a house then renting these apt for the money your gonna spend, Not the apts. for a family with children NO ROOM To play.. Make a careful choice on what you do when renting an apt. especially these.

dont move here
if you're looking for a nice, but expensive apt, this is it, but that is it too! you will feel like a hostage in your own home. too many cops that live here and all they do is harrass residents. trust me, several other residents have had the same problem. seems more and more residents are not renewing they're lease because of the new manager(rachel), and the harrassing cops. so, dont move here if you wanna be in prison!! and if you wanna get screwed on your move out, then this is the perfect apartment for you!

Lookout for the guys in uniform
If you enjoy having on-site police, at least 4, living here and having them accost and harrass your guests as they are having cocktales and talking on the patio at 8:30 pm on a Friday night, you will love this place!!!! This is exactly what happened to my guest this past Friday evening. If you don't enjoy being a hostage in your apt while you're home, you should look elsewhere. Best of luck!!!

great place
awesome property. great apartments, only downside is the pool hours (11am to 8pm), and lots of police presence to keep everyone in line. Aside from that, awesome, very clean wwell maintained, friendly, helpful staff etc. only reason moving is because job relocation.
