The best place to live in Norfolk!

I checked out multiple apartments before I moved here. This was the cleanest by far and it's not even expensive. The staff is amazing, with their helpfulness and kindness. They are organising activities to make the community even friendlier. One thing I found disturbing is the noise level coming from the cars at Monticello Avenue. Otherwise I am very happy with everything.

My apartment experience has been phenomenal. The staff is very friendly. Packages are delivered directly to my unit or stored securely in the front office, which is a vast improvement from my past apartment that had a very chaotic package room. Parking is covered, gated, and attached, which was a huge factor in helping me narrow down my apartment search. My floor plan is very intuitive and maximizes efficiency of space. Lots of natural light too. Courtyard with the pool is beautiful! I rarely hear my neighbors. My only complaint is sometimes that trains nearby are loud, but I learned that this is an issue for all apartments in this area.

Absolutely wonderful building. Staff is so helpful and friendly. Building common spaces are kept clean and are well maintained. The location is perfect and in walking distance to almost any daily needs like grocery store, bars and restaurants, gym, and nice areas to walk. 10/10

Element has forever set the bar for the best apartment experience. I was honestly sad to have moved, but Element has been exceptional in all aspects. The apartment itself was well-maintained, updated and has a ton of amenities. But what truly stood out was the staff! Janice, Harley, and Johnny were top-notch. They provided exceptional service. They are extremely kind, personable, and were very quick to respond to any request or issue I had. If you considering on moving here, I would definitely recommend it!

Janice and Harley a very friendly and professional! They know you and your family by name not just by your apartment number like other communities. They take pride in where we live, always clean and smells so nice in the halls. We have events provided to us by them, it's them showing their appreciation for us as residents. Home away from home

The Element is outstanding! The apartment units are spacious, well-maintained, and feature high-quality appliances with thoughtful layouts. Janice, Harley, Karen, Jonny, and Alicia are exceptionally professional and responsive, showing genuine care for residents’ needs. The amenities, including the pool, gym, and community spaces, are top-notch and consistently clean. The location is also incredibly convenient, with shops, restaurants, and dog parks all within walking distance. It’s truly a great place to call home— I highly recommend it!

Could Not Be Happier!

Being military, I have lived in several places, and certainly a lot of apartments. This has by far been the best experience. From the first time I contacted the complex for information, through move-in, and my time here so far, has been above and beyond. The employees have been so responsive and engaged. They understand military life. They have really nice amenities that are modern, clean and smell good! I could not see an apartment before I moved-in because they were full when I came, but when I arrived, my apartment was clean and lovely. It looked just like the photos! I arrived in the late evening when they were closed, and with the information they provided, arriving on my own was easy and seamless. I dread the day I am transferred away and have to shop/live somewhere else.

The BEST Apartment and Management Team EVER!

The Element at Ghent is the BEST apartment I have ever lived at. The management team is even more incredible than the beautiful apartments and recreational spaces. If you are lucky enough to get an apartment space here, take it right away! Very well built building, in a great neighborhood, and secure parking garage.

Great place to live! The apartment was good and so were the amenities, e.g. the gym, pool, lounge area with a pool table. Any issues we had regarding maintenance were taken care of promptly. The areas like the lounge, hallways, etc were always very clean. Harley and Janice made the experience special with the effort they put into the residents. They are always friendly and helpful. The events they put on for the residents are great. Overall, would recommend!!

Great staff and great amenities!

The Element is a great place to live! The staff are always helpful and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The common spaces are always clean and fun to use. The maintenance team is extremely efficient and fulfills requests within 24 hours, and usually even within a few hours. Thoroughly enjoyed my time living at the Element, and all my friends are always jealous of where I get to live!

Amazing, amazing, amazing!

I have lived in this apartment complex for over three years now. One of the biggest reasons that I continue to renew my lease here is because of the management I cannot overstate how amazing they are. They are so responsive to any issue and any small issue for maintenance is quickly resolved. Everyone on the management team and the maintenance team is so incredibly friendly. I personally find that the apartment complex is big enough to have all the amenities one could want, but it is small enough that the management and the maintenance people know your face, recognize you, and know who lives in which unit. You are not just a random unit number to management. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Wonderful building with excellent amenities and top-notch staff

This building has a great location on the edge of Ghent and within walking distance of downtown Norfolk. The building offers a variety of well-kept amenities including a spacious lounge, full gym, and pool. The team of Harley, Janice, John, Karen, and Alecia make you feel at home and are quick to address any concerns. Any maintenance issues I had were handled quickly and they followed up on the completed work. This apartment has a great sense of community with social events offered on a monthly basis. Great building! Clean, modern, good amenities. The property managers (Harley and Janice) are both absolutely amazing - so nice, responsive, and helpful on everything. Johnny (maintenance) is very quick, professional, and effective. Community events (~once a month) are great too - free food, and we've made friends through them. Highly recommend the Element!

Living at Element has been spectacular. The building management is excellent. Janice and Harley are responsive, friendly, kind, and diligent. The grounds are always kept clean and the building and units are very well maintained. The amenities are also great. I'm moving away for work reasons, but if I return to Norfolk, Element will be the first place I look to move back to!

Great Apartment Community

Great apartment community in a safe and high-end location of the Ghent district of Norfolk. Close to restaurants bars Granby Street downtown nightlife. Very clean very well managed. Management is very attentive to detail. Live there for year and a half and loved it. Clean fresh apartments and layouts. Secure garage Building. Clean and up-to-date new weight room, pool game room and business center. Great place to live.

The most amazing community

This complex is absolutely amazing. From the staff to the amazing amenities, you will absolutely fall in love with this place. The apartments are absolutely beautiful, and Janice & Harley who work in the front office, are the most amazing people ever. They go above and beyond for their residents, and truly care.
