Staff here is great and it is by far one of the cleanest and safest apartment complexes in the area. It is not far from downtown Norfolk and gives you quick access to many local shops and grocery stores. Great place to live if on military orders for the area.

During my time here at the Element I experienced great customer service from Janice and Harley. They always answered my questions. I rarely ever had any issues with the apartment itself, and if I ever did encounter any issues the 24 hour maintenance acted fast enough to fix it, Johnny did great. The complex is always clean and well- kept, quiet and peaceful.

We've lived for about 2 and half years now. We've never had any problems with any of our neighbors. We also really enjoy the pool and the privacy it provides. It's always fun in the summer to go out there and hangout with all the other residents. Also, all the staff are very courteous and efficient with everything they do.

Easy process, we had a quick turnaround time and had to move in day of seeing the place. The property manager seem to care very much about the place. The place was very clean and nice.I have no complaints.

I moved my daughter to the Element at Ghent Apartments to finish college. I wanted her in a safe environment while I was away from time to time. Our experience from the time of the walk-through, paperwork and moving in was stella. There was always something to do here from community activities to friendly contest that you participate in. The staff was amazing and on top of everything. The facility was always clean, the parking garage was safe and the neighbors looked out for each other. If anyone ever complained about anything the staff was all over it. During the Pandemic I was furloughed and things got tough and I couldn't afford my rent. Needless to say Ms Janice Hale, the property manager stepped in to assist me with recommendations. I'm so thankful to her because I was able to find relief for all my back rent. Ms Janice you are "Phenomenal"!!!! And wait... I can't leave out Harley, he was an absolute sweetheart, always stepping in and up in Ms Janice absence. I will recommend everyone to this amazing property over and over again.

Well-keep with wonderful management staff. The pool area can get quite noisy especially on weekends but typically the overnight disturbances come from people being loud on their own balconies. I don't hear much noise from my neighbors although the smell of weed does carry. Overall, I would move here again.

Not only is The Element a beautiful place to live, it's also safe, quiet and clean. We were worried we would struggle to find a cozy place for our family after moving back to Norfolk, but the team at The Element was so welcoming and wonderful that we instantly felt right at home. Amenities are fantastic (especially the parking garage), the staff is friendly and efficient, and we love that our favorite restaurants and grocery stores are just a short walk away! We've lived in many different places, but the team working here at The Element is truly the best we've ever had. Harley made our tour/application/moving process quick and painless. Any questions that I had (and even some I didn't think of) were always quickly answered, either by phone or by email. Janice, Harley, John, and Karen are ALL superb and make The Element @ Ghent truly feel like a family community. Safety is a priority, cleanliness is consistent, and the views are to die for. We love our personal space and enjoy using the common areas, especially the clubhouse and business center. Living at The Element has been such a great experience; we're so glad we made the right decision!

Janice and her team not only made our move-in seamless, but also continue to make us feel like family as a fellow member of the Element community. Johnny and the maintenance team continue to provide timely service repairs. I'm still amazed by how the leasing office knows everyone by name. I also appreciate the regular events/prizes given away by the office. Overall, the Element at Ghent team has made the already beautiful apartment even better.

Love living here! The apartment was very clean and ready for move in when I first moved in. Service requests are easy and staff are super friendly and helpful. Amenities such as pool, fire pit, grills, gym, and parking garage make it so worth living here.

The Element has been an awesome place to live. The amenities are great, the apartments are very modern and the facilities are super well kept. The Office staff is always friendly and helpful and Johnny (maintenance) is incredibly fast and friendly with service requests.

This has been one of the best apartment homes I have ever lived at! The apartments themselves are upgraded with new appliances and very reasonably priced for the area and there are so many amenities to enjoy, especially during the pandemic. Initially it may seem a little pricey but you really get what you pay for - which is soooo much!!! The leasing staff has always been super amazing and helpful. No matter the time or the day, they're always available to answer any questions (and even hold packages when I'm away). Everyday someone from the staff thoroughly cleans the elevators and hallways, on a few occasions i've seen the property manager and assistant property manager doing the cleaning themselves. The staff here really take pride in the resident community. If my fiancé and I weren't relocating to another area, there is no doubt we would continue to live here.

I've lived here over a year, and I'm happy here in my corner apartment. The building is quiet, clean, well maintained, and I'm glad they have underground parking so I don't have to worry about my car. The staff is always lovely, and I can easily walk to grocery stores, the post office, and so on. You really can't go wrong with this place!

I have been fortunate enough to have lived in the Element at Ghent for nearly 5 years now. I am in the military and this is the 7th apartment complex I have lived in and it is by far the absolute best! I LOVE the interior design of the apartment like the spaciousness, beautiful granite counter tops, and modern color scheme. However- the best part of living here has been the staff. You will not find a better team then Janice, Harley, and Johnny. The professionalism and caring attitude they exhibit day in and day out can’t be overstated. So much effort goes into community events. Even during the pandemic they found ways to host covid-friendly activities and give always. Johnny is always on top of the maintenance and provides amazing and quick service! I love and trust them all so much it is so hard to leave after 5 years. I know I will never find another place that has such a special team taking care of residents. Thank you all for everything!!!

It's fine. Not horrible not great. It's fine. I think steelhead management could do a better job regarding covid safety and cleanliness of the halls and stairwells. The carpets are disgusting and need to be deep cleaned. The stairwells and trash chute room smell horrible most days.
