Just moved to Richmond from out of state not too long ago. It was a daunting task to find an apartment I know nothing about, but Abbington Hills really stood out from the rest. The staff were super friendly and willing to work with me and my needs. The apartment complex is beautiful and well kept, though the tennis court looks a little rough. I know those are expensive to repave, but maybe convert it to a dog park? That's what most people use it as anyway. My wife and I actually work on the other side of Richmond, but the commute is so convenient that we've never even considered moving closer to work. All in all, try Abbington Hills, you won't regret it!

We really like living in Abbington Hills. It's quiet, clean, and safe. The staff is very attentive to our needs and maintenance requests are taken care of very quickly. The location allows us to get to most places around the city within minutes. The convenience to school and work are also a plus. There are also plenty of nice amenities including a workout facility, swimming pool and free wi-fi access at the rental office. There aren't very many better values for the money in this area.

Here from NY visiting my cousin who lives here and I am absolutely loving my stay. His apartment is beautiful, the groounds are well kept, it's a safe neighborhod for I have walked around alone, and the staff are helpful and friendly. They ran an event promoting health and fitness where they made smoothies after utilizing the gym. I enjoyed a nice workout and had a tasteful blueberry smoothie waiting for me when I was done. Kudos to Abbington Hills Apartments!

Love how quiet it is here!!!I work night shifts and love the fact that I am never disturbed when I come home. Parking can be annoying because its a little tight. The office is super nice and constantly havimg treats for me and Roxie (my pup). They were even out shoveling yesterday. They fix apartment issues pretty fast too.

Decent sized townhouses. Parking right in front of townhouse, if it's one facing parking lot. Well lit. Panic button in bedroom & security unit for townhouse as well. Very friendly & helpful staff & maitenance. Within walking distance from Lucille Murray Brown Middle School, Food Lion, 7-11, gas station, strip malls, bus stops, & Chippenham Hospital. Close to Powhite & Chippenham Parkways. Downtown in 5-10 minutes. Nice place to live. =)

I love this complex. I had such an awful experience when I first moved to Richmond, I was in desperate need of a good community.. and I found it here! The office and maintenence staff are fantastic and always super responsive to resident needs.. as a single female I feel very safe here, which was a big problem for me in my first rental. I cant say enough how much I love this community!

This has been great for my first apartment. Maintenance always comes the same day and is so friendly. And when they had an event a few weeks ago they had treat bags for me and my cat. It was so thoughtful.

I just moved into these apartments and have had nothing but good experiences. The office staff is awesome and super helpful. The grounds are kept clean and well maintained. The apartment, although older, is spacious, clean, and has brand new carpet. I would definately recommend living here.

I just moved in. I am a young single female and I come home from work in the middle of the night and haven't had any problems. The people in the office are very friendly. My A.C. is pretty annoying though because it is very loud and the toilet (when flushed) is loud as well. I spoke with the office about this and they are going to come and take a look. So, hopefully it will be resolved. I absolutely love the layout of my townhouse. It is perfect for me and my puppy. It is an extremely quiet neighborhood. I was surprised by this just because of the location. All in all, it seems to be a great place so far. I think I made the right decision.

I am pleased with the overall quality of service and care I continue to receive. Everytime I've had a concern or question, staff and/or maintenance have addressed it in a timely and professional manner. The fact that they are concerned about the needs of their tenants speaks volumes. I have lived in this community for a long time and feel assured that they (staff) do care about the quality of service they provide and us residents. Years later, I still feel I made a great decision to live here.

I love living here! The apartment IS a bit older but well maintained and the maintanance guys always respond quickly whenever theres been a problem and never leave a mess. The girls in the pffice are friendly and helpful and Marcy always remembers me! Feels like a community. I've lived in a lot of apartments around Richmond and I like that here, I don't have to deal with any upstairs neighbors. I would definitely recommend to anyone just starting out!

Great place to live. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. Organized all of my move online without even seeing the property and was pleasantly surprised. Have lived here for 2 years and am only living due to job relocation. If I had the option to stay I definitely would stay at Abbington Hills. Area is pretty quiet and is walking distance to grocery stores and the post office. Close to the downtown and VCU area driving distance. Overall I really enjoyed living here!

I moved into Abbington Hills 6 months ago and looked at several different apartments before making my decision. You can't beat the size of the apartments compared to the price. The staff if very friendly. I would recommend to anyone.

Abbington Hills is a quiet, well kept residential community in Richmond. There is a Food Lion, Rite-Aid, Gasstation and other amenities but one minute away; It's ten minutes from Carytown, downtown Richmond, and close to other shopping areas in Forest Hill, Chesterfield and Stony Point Short Pump is only 20 minutes away or so as well. The apartments themselves are decently sized (nice master bedrooms if you have big furniture), but they are a bit outdated. Appliances are older and leave a bit to be desired, but they are well kept. The staff is very helpful, maintainance crew is always friendly and knowledgable and the grounds including the tennis court and swimming pool are always well kept. Parking is also ample.

Needless to say I have been pleased overall, I have been living here for approximately 9 years. I have had 1 or 2 loud neighbors during the total time I've lived here, however, the property manager and staff responded to my complaint immediately and the issues were resolved. I love the amenities and the fact that it is a fairly small community. I feel safe walking my dog (whom I clean behind) at night. They have added extra lighting since I've been living here and I like the fact that parking is reserved which limits the amount of non-resident parking. One suggestion I have is that they upgrade the entrance doors and exterior of apartments (some roofs need to be replaced). Overall, nice apartments for this area. The pool and clubhouse are nice as well. Staff are professional and are good with following up with any complaints or concerns.

I don't know about this place anymore. It would be perfect if it weren't for the people who act like they've never lived in a nice community before. At any given time, my neighbors on one side are slamming cabinets, playing loud music or just being rambunctious. On the other side, I have neighbors who play their tv too loud and who stay up from 12:30-5:00 a.m. making loud noise, laughing really loud, and doing other activities that I really don't need to hear. I've contacted management, but they're not effective in getting these people to stop. One manager even suggested that I just call the police on the loud neighbors, so I guess I'll have to do that. It's such a shame because the amenities at this place are really great for the price. But it's not enough to compensate for the lack of decency from the neighbors. Bottom line: if you move here, you would be well advised to get some noise-cancelling earphones or buy several boxes of earplugs. Depending on who your neighbors are, you will need to use them whenever you're home. I haven't been able to sleep or do anything in my apartment without wearing headphones. If you absolutely value peace and quiet, don't bother moving here. Also, be prepared for someone to leave dog mess in your yard. That's happened to me and three other residents I've spoken to.

Rent only a couple week behind
I am very dissapointed in Abblington Hill right now. My husband and I are only a couple weeks behind, (this month) and already have a letter to go to court in July for being late. I could understand this if we were three months behind, but a couple weeks, and to pour salt in the wound my husband went to management and told them of our situation, and they said we should be alright. We have always paid our rent two months in advance and we have never been late. We fell into some financial problems this month and this is the only reason we are late. I have one question for management, and that is if this was you how would you feel? We need to be very careful how we treat each others, because it is our time now but it could be your's tomorrow. God says I have to pray for people who misuse me (I really feel like I have been slapped in the face), and right now I am finding this kinda hard. All I want to know is how do people like this sleep at night. I pray that noone who live here will be treated as we are being treat. We are been dragged into to court as if we have stole something, and the only thing we did was come up short for this month. Will someone from management PLEASE give me an answer to my question. Thanks

Very Satisfied
I've been at Abbington Hills for about six months now and I haven't had any trouble at all. There is the occasional maitenance issue (as is to be expected in any community) but the maintenance staff always responds within a reasonable amount of time and the work is done properly. One time they actually responded within the hour! All of my neighbors are friendly. Also, being the owner of a very active large breed dog, its nice to be in such a pet-friendly community. Great community for very reasonable price.

Great area and great staff!
I have been here for two years and I can say that it has been one of my best experiences renting. The staff is so friendly and attentive. They always make sure the complex looks good making sure that areas are always mowed and the units are kept in good shape. I also have two dogs and they are very pet friendly here which is a big plus in my book. The area is quiet and I have never had an issue with safety either here. Trust me, you will love this place!

Best place i have ever stayed.
Abbington Hills is a very beautiful complex. It has enough play room, huge parking space, a huge swimming pool with a club house. The 1 bedroom am currently renting out is an up and down stairs very spacious apartment. Maintnance is always on top of their work.
