I've lived here going on nine years. It's just a great place to live. It is centrally located, close to shopping and major freeways. It's a quiet community with a great maintenance and management team. Any questions or concerns I ever have had have been addressed quickly and professionally.

San Montego apartments is a very old complex. Most of them have old appliances. I moved in not seeing behind the washing machine. Part of the board around the floor was coming off the wall. My water bill was extremely high. They had to staple the board back to the wall. I will admit they did give me a new washer and dryer. While I was getting my tour through the apartment I noticed there was no shower head. I asked her why. She told me not too worry they will put that back on once they are done painting. She would not let me have the keys to move in until I paid her up front. I moved in believing that it would be fine. I started looking around and noticed what a sloppy job they did with painting. There was tape left on the shower doors and the tracking on the door was broken off. There was a lot of dirt and hair from someone that lived there before. I have noticed there are so many new apartments getting built. They have new appliances, carpet/tile, and are clean with fresh paint. The cost of living in the old apartments are practically the same price as new ones that are being built. These are in a good area where you can get to places conveniently. Having to pay high rent it would be wiser to move to a newer apartment complex.. Just saying..

The staff has always been amazing and willing to help with anything. The maintenance team is super fast and always there to help. I've loved living here. Everyone is so kind and the community is beautiful and I love being able to walk around the ponds. Rent is pretty reasonable too.

Maintenance staff is top notch, friendly and personable? knowledgeable and quick to respond. Great bunch of guys. They greet me daily while walking or driving through the complex. Their response time is very fast.

Very quiet, very beautiful community. Management does an amazing job on keeping up with everything. I was placed on the list for Maintenace, and it took literally maybe next day for them to come out. Both times.

Since the moment I moved into San Montego it has felt like home. The office staff is always friendly and helps me with whatever I need. In addition, the maintenance staff has always answered my requests in a timely manner and the issues get done correctly the first time they come out. I love my apartment and, from what I've noticed, the community is nice and quiet.

Harassment by maintenance staff

I do not know if my other review is going to post, but I am going to make this one short I continue to be harassed by the maintenance staff that continues to leave trash on my porch. The leaf blowers left two containers of trash on a neat pile of leaves. It was done on purpose, and I am going to be filming anyone that comes near my apartment for anything. I am going to call the police on a regular basis for anything that I see because I see that I continue to be harassed at this horrible apartment. The only reason why I cannot move right now is for financial reasons or I would have been moved. I am not removing this review and I will sweep off my own porch I do not want those leaf blowers and the maintenance staff to come anywhere near my apartment where they leave trash on my porch for the second time the first time they threw a bag of trash back on my porch, racist ignorance inbred. I left a message with the front office about it and I uploaded pictures going forward. I will not discuss anything with anybody. I will call the police and I am also going to seek legal action now that I see this harassment is going to continue. I am going to add additional cameras around my apartment. I am also going to post on all social media platforms about the harassment that I have been getting at this apartment since since I have lived here. I suggest you tell your staff to leave me alone. this time to make sure I hear anything as far as maintenance related outside my apartment, I am going to stand with my phone and record them while they are working. DO NOT HAVE THEM BLOW LEAVES BACK AND TRASH ONTO MY PORCH. I WILL SWEEP MY PORCH AND SWEEP BY THE FRONT DOOR GOING FORWARD!!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!! I wrote my previous review July 23. On July 26 is when the maintenance staff was here leaf blowing and throwing trash back on my porch. I have them on video. I discovered the trash on my porch last night, August 5 when I went on the porch for DoorDash and discovered the trash on a bed of leaves in a circle. I have on video the exact maintenance staff that was out there on 7/26. They had on lime green neon shirts. I will be showing that to the police.

My husband, kids and I absolutely Love this community so far! We feel safe, welcomed and the views are perfect. When we moved in, the apartment was clean and kept up, we didn't have to do much cleaning ourselves and we are very grateful we found this community.

Found the apartment online after driving past the area and liking everything around it. The move-in process was smooth. I even had neighbors help me move in. They were accommodating to my pets And we're very friendly.

Make sure you see the apartment you are going to rent prior to signing as some of the units have appliances that are at least 15 years old but it says luxury in the name of the apartments. They do not always do a thorough inspection of the unit.

San Montego is a beautiful apartment in a great location of East Mesa. The apartment community is well managed and the units themselves are kept in good shape. Moving into these apartments have been comforting knowing I live in a safe community

It is very clean and quiet community since I hsve moved. Staffs are very kind and helpful. It is nice circumstance to live at this apartment. Maintenance is always welcome if requested, but it is almost 30 years old, that happens very often.

I love my apartment complex. I have never had a problem here. They are quick to help if I need it. I could have not picked a better place to live. I have friend who are cops and they have told me this is one of the best apartments to live in. They never have problems here. They said if they were ever in a place, they needed to live in an apartment this would be the one they would pick. I cannot see me living this place to live in another apartment again.

Nice but disappointed in the fixing of repairs. Some things are not fixed properly the first time, and I have to submit another request. The dryer knob was not working when we moved in. Maintenance came to fix it. Tonight, it completely fell off. The AC was making a rattling noise last weekend. They came by on Monday and the noise is still there! I have requested to have someone present when they come back.

The pool is absolutely wonderful and also heated during fall, winter & spring. I personally swim the entire year. The outside grounds are kept beautifully. All of the people are friendly and the place is very quiet every day throughout the year.

I love living here!! It's a beautiful gated community with small lakes and walkways around the property. The geese land on the lakes and we had 3 of them that had at least 3 babies each. It was fun watching them while they nested. I take advantage of using the beautiful pool, and the gym.

Filthy apartments. Liars. They claim to have cleaned the apartment before move in. Multiple times they were asked if the carpets were to be professionally cleaned and each time they said yes. The carpets were not touched by any cleaner. They are stained and have paint spilled on them. The bathroom has mildew on sink fixtures and shower doors. The tile grout in the shower is also filthy. I would say this place is not trustworthy.

Great location, always well maintained m. Huge renovation last year with new roof, new exterior paint and new exterior lights and apartments numbers really has given the complex a nice face lift. Maintenance is always timely and courteous.
