Convenient location to freeways. There are a ton of restaurants as well.... You have grocery stores, movie theater and Superstition Springs mall all within walking distance. The noise level picks up in the evenings because you are so close to the busy streets but I adjusted to the noise.

Calming and quiet environment with good scenery and amenities! Apartment is well insulated and set up nicely as far as bedroom and living room/kitchen. Pool and gym are nice. Office staff is courteous and professional.

Love this community and our apartment. It does not feel like an apartment it feels like a home. The staff is always friendly and supportive. We love living here. The location is close to so many awesome restaurants and entertainment.

Management is full of uneducated, racist people. I have lived there for two years, and management is the full reason why I am leaving. Maintanence never fixes problems, just sweeps them under the "rug". A Sub par place to make your home

5 STARS!!!!!! I have been here for 15 months and just renewed another year! I have the most beautiful one bedroom steps from a lake. (one of the many on the property). As a single woman safety and quietness is key. The area I am in is very quiet catering to more single, couples, and retiree's. (Also 'winter visiters') The manager, Lori, is awesome! She also has two other woman in the office that are friendly, sincere, and personable! (Bobbie and Kristine) The head of maintenance, James, and his staff are excellent! Most repairs complete within 24 hours. (even clogged sinks) My apartment was exactly what I hoped for when I moved in and I have had only extremely small repairs with no problems. The are is well worth the price and is in a great neighborhood walking distance from great restaurants, a movie theater, and grocery stores. The staff are always friendly and caring!! It blows away any of the neighboring apartments in all ways.

San Montego is an extraordinary home-style living choice. The apartment homes are nice, clean, and well maintained. The grounds border a lake and offer plentiful parking, outdoor visiting areas, and walking lanes. Lastly, but most importantly, the management and maintenance crew are the best I've ever experienced. Lori, the manager, makes you feel like you're part of a big neighborhood family. And her office staff is always helpful with any problem or question you might have. And every maintenance item we raised was addressed the same day, even if just to look into the problem in order to get a replacement part. We highly recommend San Montego Appartments.

The worst place I have ever lived in!!! If your not over 70 and have children look some where else... I have two children and have received several noise complaints during non quite hours, I guess I live in a retirement community!! Horrible I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I love the units and the location of the properties. It is conveniently located near some of the best restaurants and fairly close to the freeway. However, the staff- from management to just one maintenance worker is very unprofessional, prejudice and beyond rude. I have learned from past tenants that the staff has profiled minorities and discriminated against individuals with children. They are not so child friendly and its mainly towards minorities. Overall, the property is well maintained but unfortunately the staff isn't. The outer appearance of the property is just a fa ade of luxury and the level of professionalism you anticipate until you meet face-to-face with management. Additionally, contacting or having any means of communication with corporate or its owners are forbidden. Would I recommend this property to anyone?. No but the decision is ultimately up to you. If you are a smoker or attending a medical school that is contracting with this property, where the bulk of San Montego's tenants come from, then... Yes!. Other wise I personally will never move back.

San Montego was the perfect place to live in...close location to my 8-5 and the staff was nice, accommodating, understanding and friendly...until the last 4-6 mos of me living here. The staff are completely incompetent and do not care about their tenants. They've sent many of my packages back, without notification. I have renewed a couple of leases but am regretting this last renewal. The management insists on harassing their tenants and tenants' guests with towing stickers. Stating that vehicles are inoperable and threatening to tow within 48hrs. One of my vehicles was illegally towed WITHOUT notice. Also, don't believe "any" extensions they may give you because they'll tow your car & claim they didn't give you any extension. I don't see the cost benefit in harassing your tenants with a measly $150 tow, when your tenants are the ones keeping you in business by paying your bills, salary, etc. with rent! There is NO way to pay your rent online. I was out of town for an immediate family member's funeral and had no way to pay my rent. The apartment said I had to show proof via an obituary and plane ticket to even CONSIDER not penalizing me with late fees. Granted I would have only been 3 days late with rent. If you want to be harassed by management, pay for an outdated, overpriced apartment ,then this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT rent here. There's a high turnover rate, both tenants and staff, for a reason!!

San Montego is an amazing place to live. Everyone from the staff to the residents are very friendly. I have only had a couple of issues in my apartment and within a hour or two they were here to fix it. I have no complaints and would suggest this community to anyone. Perfect for individuals or families !

AMAZING STAFF AMAING MAINTENANCE I had a maintenance problem and they came and fixed it the very night at around 9pm The view and walks are amazing, great lakes all around us, and shopping center across the street. Security guard 24/7 would get to know people by name. This place was amazing, so sad I had to move.

been here 4 months out of a 12 month lease, and I have nothing to really complain about. the grounds are amazing, the security patrol does a good job of making u feel safe. and it is a crime free apt complex. hopefully it stays that way :)

I love living here

My fiance and I love our apartment because it feels like we live in a vacation condo. Our only complaint is there is no pantry in the kitchen. Our apartment is not even a remodeled apartment (we've been here since early 2009)and it still feels luxurious. AS far as the noise, we live right next to power road so sometimes we can hear traffic going by, and on occasion we hear our neighbors shower turn on. The walls are considerably thick though, I can't hear my nieghbors close thier kitchen cabinets or talking in their living room like in some of the other apartments I've lived in. I've never experienced any noise from wild parties, in fact when I walk my dog at night the complex is so quiet its kind of spooky. Maintenance is cool. If we put in a work order it is usually done that day or the next day; it never takes longer than a few days. The office staff has always been friendly to us. All in all my fiance and I love it here, we just wish the kitchen had a pantry. I would defiantly recommend San Montego to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

I lived here for 3 years and love it...However BEWARE NEW MANAGEMENT!! I think the new manager highest level of education was 6th grade. I've never had an issue with management until recently. She is not people friendly and has no sense customer service. I not resigning my lease in May and will be relocating b/c of my experience with the management. SAD :( when bad people are in the wrong positions...

Great Place!

I've lived here for almost a year. Its quiet at night and the staff is friendly and always available to help. The maintenance requests are always fixed within 24hrs. If you can find one, get the remodeled, everything is new! Awesome place!

Love these Apartments

I am an At. Stills Student going on my 2nd year. This is a great loction clean staff is friendly and is a quite community. There are tons of resturants and stores with in walking distance as well . These apartmemts are the cleanest in the area.

Wish I could

I live across the street and I'm very unhappy with my rent being jacked up $100. I'm never late with my rent. So I checked out San Montego, the staff was great, very friendly. I fell in love with the kitchen, and the grounds. I just wish I could afford the extra $100 it cost to live here. If I had the money I would move to San Montego in a heart beat. Oh and they have security drive around at night. They don't at lakeview, and cars are being vandalized.

Definitely not like home!!

Under new management and they are more worried about what the grounds look like than their tenants comfort. The walls are like cardboard and don't bother complaining about obnoxious tenants, because nothing will get done about it. It is the only apartment complex I have lived in that allows their groundskeepers to blow everything into your patio. There was a gunshot right outside the gate due to a rowdy bar across the street. The street is extremely noisy with squealing tires heard often. The mosquitoes from the lake are out of control and other pests are just as bad. The countertops were painted by the old management, after they told you before moving in that you were getting new countertops!! I have lived in many apartment complexes out here and would have to say this is by far the worst I have lived in to date. Although certain things are expected with apartment living, you should still be able to live in comfort. Management is strict on some policies and not on others...not the ones that pertain to their tenants comfort and peace!! Unfortunately for them, we have a wide network of people for potential tenants...will definitely steer them clear!!

get a grip people it's an apartment not the tajmahal

We have lived here for 15 months. The managment has been great. It came under new ownership while we have been here and they have been just as good as the old ones. Things have always been fixed in a prompt manner. Everyone is nice and we have wonderful neighboors. We are probably the most nosiy out of everyone who lives around us. There were some neighboors that were problems when we first moved in but, the problems were always taken care of. We have had some ants and a bug now and then but,the place is sprayed and good luck if you can keep everything out. I suggest living in one of the buildings closer to the gates if you want good parking. We did and always had plenty of parking. The landscape is done once a week but, if you want to keep up with all of the plants then I'm not sure what else someone would expect. The carpet was on the cheap end(got stains easily)but, they are remodeling everything so I'm sure it will be replaced for the next move in. Everything is close by. I often walked to stores and the mall. Now remember this is an apartment so I'm not sure what people expect. When you live in one you will not get the privicy and noise control that you get in a house so, I don't understand the whining about how bad things are. It's a pretty good place to live as far as I can tell. I would and have recomended it to lots of people.

Don't Do It!!!!

Unless you want mold exposure DON'T MOVE HERE! We had an issue and when they sent someone out to "Fix" the problem we found out we had mold in the walls behind the drywall and in the wood framing. I was told that that needed to be taken care of. Later that day "Maintenance" came out and all they did was replace the drywall? They did not do what was told to me and when office staff called to check up I informed them also what had been brought to my attention and why maintenance had done nothing except put a BIG bandage over the problem. My wife has asthma and this could be fatal to her. I hear they are "renovating" and "remodeling" the apts. Why wouldn't they rather spend that money in making sure thier residents are safe from mold and deadly bacteria? By the way nothing still has been done...we are paying rent for an apt. we are not living, in so you decide if this is the kind of "Luxury" you want to live in.

Yes and No

Yes, I would recommend this apartment complex, but only if you happen to work day shift. I just started working 3rd shift about a month ago, and unfortunately the noise level has been a problem for me while trying to sleep during the day. The walls are relatively thin, and judging from the sounds coming through the neighbors are constantly slamming doors and dropping very heavy objects. (I'm not sure if this is actually true, but that's what it sounds like.) Even if you happen to get lucky and have extremely quiet neighbors, the lawn maintenance crew appears every Friday and will hover outside the windows for literally hours running weed whackers, etc. To me this isn't exactly "luxury" living, but for those working regular business hours it's probably not a bad place. The only other real complaint I have would be the lack of parking, since there is only one assigned spot per apartment. Unless you're living alone, this is inconvenient to say the least.

I wish i had found these apartments a year ago. The staff is very nice, the grounds are nice. I love our apartment, we are on the second story and feel very secluded. The only noise comes from the landscaping. We have a had a few problems with people parking in our spot, but not a big deal. The price is very reasonable.
