My husband and I moved here when we first got married and really love it. It's very quiet and we rarely hear or even see kids. Maintenance is great. We have put in work to be fixed and they get it done super fast. Staff has been very helpful. There is a great pool and gym. Their parking lot is great and everything is clean. Our only complaint is sometimes their landscape people start insanely early and being on the bottom floor you hear them a lot if you're trying to sleep. But overall my husband and I think it's a really great area and apartment to be in. We would definitely recommend these apartments!

    I lived at the apartments for 2 years. Paid every month on time. I was a great tenant there and caused no problems. When I moved out I had my electric transferred to my new address. Unknowing the power company did not turn off power at the apartment. The apartment complex takes over once you move out. I was charged for the month after I moved out. I paid the bill because APS wanted payment. I then asked the apartment staff if they would refund me the money seeing they were the ones who used the power. Needless to say they said too bad. Its not their problem. But yet they had me pay for their usage. Wow!!!!!! I could use the money as much as anyone else but I guess they need it more to keep their doors open. I do not recommend living there. Renter beware. Read other posts of previous customers. You can decide for yourself.

      The property as a whole is very nice. The property owner seems to reinvest/spend money on landscape, pool and property upgrades.The leasing staff on the other hand has a less than professional outlook. If you put in a request for anything it's like they are doing you a favor. See new office & maintenance staff every few months. Communication is poor. If you survive the first year and it's time for a renewal, "Renter beware". They don't just increase your rent $10-$20-$30 per month, but near $100 or more. Tough way to keep residents. Seen quite a few families have to leave due to the high increases. The philosophy must be "we can get someone else in there, no big deal". Just like their attitudes.

        Resident for 1 month. DO NOT MOVE HERE! The mgmt team here if you want to call it mgmt is absolutely horrible. First week AC is out and when asked to fix it they took over a week and still not completely fixed. After numerous attempts they said open windows! LoL. You have a really dedicated group of sarcastic mgmt here. Ants all in apartment and when told they said I could get raid before they could come out next week. This place is a joke! They gave me ppwk of the lease and then changed or they said REVISED the prorated monthly rent but didn't advise us that until the day I was going to pay. I thought this was a nice place to live at first look, beware looks are definitely deceiving. STAY AWAY!!!!! I hate even giving 1 Star.

          I lived in Sonoma Ridge Apartments for a total of 14 months. I gave them prior notice to moving out. I sent them a notice to evacuate letter prior to moving out, I also set up, with them, an appointment for a final walk through on the day I was moving out. There was no damage to the apartment. The gentleman that came through to check it out said it looked fine. I contacted Sonoma Ridge a number of times to tell them my new address, as to where they could send my refunded security deposit. A month later, after hearing nothing from them, I get a call from a collections agency. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.

            This apartment complex has both good and bad qualities. The apartments themselves are pretty nice. We had a few issues when we first moved in such as the sink having problems as well as the fan being broken but overall it was not to bad. They are however extremely over priced compared to a lot of places, we could have rented a house for what we were paying. Unfortunately we were enticed by the look in lease special when we probably should have looked longer. One thing I really disagree with from majority of these reviews is the negative things about the maintenance staff. When living there they were always super helpful and usually came out within a day if not sooner. We even called the emergency line once because our hot water broke and he came out that night.The office people however are extremely rude like a lot of other people have said. They act like they they are annoyed by everyone and that they shouldn't be bothered. Although this place was not bad to live in I think you could find something just as good but at a lower price.

              This apartment complex is absolutely HORRID! I've lived here for a little while now, and every time I have to deal with the staff, I am extremely displeased. They are all just plain rude and nasty, doesn't matter when or whom you talk to. If you ever planned on sleeping in, don't. The maintenance for this place are right outside your window, loud and obnoxious blowing leaves. Yes, they even blow against your window, which has made me jump and panic from sleeping. Don't plan on someone attending to your work order until AT LEAST two weeks after you have sent it in, they are beyond slow... it must be because they are too busy taking care of the build up of leaves right outside my window. The apartments are decent sized, but for the amount you pay, its NOT worth it. All that these people are trying to do is make a quick buck and don't care how they get it, let alone how they ACT. I recommend anyone who is looking for a new place to live, to avoid The Sonoma Ridge Apartments at all costs! I'm sure there is better apartment living just down the street, probably for cheaper as well. If I could give less than 1 star I would! I can't wait for my lease to be up and to get out of here. I don't want to deal with these retched people for one more second!

                The good, the bad - cut straight down the middle

                Ok... So here's how we found our 2 years of living. We signed our lease and moved on in and all seemed good. Within 2 weeks construction started outside and for the next 9 months a road building project for an extension off of the 101 began. Well, if you like your apartment bouncing up and down from 8 in the morning, then I guess it was great. Once the road was complete a roundabout appeared and people in Az just don't know how to use it. What was a very quiet (minus the moring drilling) and nice place to live has since become like living next to a free way day in and day out. That aside, the grounds are nice and maintained on a daily basis. Rent increased by about $70 on the month each year, so that was rather irritating. Mass work such as the repainting of the complex and resurfacing seem to be overly complicated for work that is poorly completed (I'd recommend different contractors in future). Pool is very nice in the summer, barbeques are huge and easy to use, gym is easy to access and the play area for kids is good. Noise levels... its pretty easy to hear your neighbor and all they need is to wake up refreshed and put their "get the day pumping" music on and your screwed if your work nights. There were a few pee brained young adults that also enjoy putting their music full blast in their cars so that even your lovely windows would vibrate a little. Fridges and dish washer, dryer and washer were all great, if we had any problems they were fixed within the hour. Good sized rooms, with the classic ugly and outdated carpets. The water in the area however can get very very smelly when you wash your clothes. It is also contains high levels of calcium, which is a complete pain when it comes to the glass showers. Not matter how much you clean, everything gets clogged up with calcium (limescale) and its a nightmare, especially with the toilets. All this being said, you get what you pay for and 2 bed 2 bath was originally about $750 a month and well worth it. Once we entered into the $900 bracket, you have to wonder what you're paying the extra for and why you weren't rewarded for staying longer at the apartments as the years progress. Its not like they have to pay someone to remove carpets and repaint. Security: Everything is well lit at night and occasionally you'll bump into the night security riding around. There are electric gates that functioned the whole time we lived here. Although you can walk past them on either side. No theft or break ins either while we lived here. Staff: Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and setup various events to get the residents together. We personally only went to 1 of these events because we were normally not home when they occurred, but we had fun at it none the less. Anyways, We enjoyed our time here because it was our stepping stone to our future and 95% of the staff were outstanding. Last notes: Avoid getting an apartment that is south facing, they are hugely expensive to keep cool in the summer due to the number and size of the windows. To the guys at Sonoma :) Thanks for being very helpful, none of the above is your fault and the maintenance staff is flawless.

During this time, my husband and I've observed on a daily basis the impressive devotion and allegiance they've displayed in completing the daily tasks of maintaining, repairing,and renovating old apartments (two in my building). They define what hard-work and loyalty means in the world of work today.

                    The Greatest Apartment in the area!

                    I dont know what everyone else has been talking about, this place is awesome. My apt is so big and so cheap. When I moved in the staff was so great and friendly. They just put in a new playground and my kids love it. Sonoma really seems like they care about their residents. They are always having cool functions for us. Last month they did a ice cream social by the pool and a hugh summer pool party with food and drinks. I cant imagine living anywhere else. I really feel like family living here, and in apt. living that is really hard to find n a property.

                      WORST PLACE EVER, PLEASE DON'T MOVE HERE......

                      first of all, WORST PLACE EVER, PLEASE DON'T MOVE HERE... I have lived here for about 9 months and i must say it is one of the worst place ever to live. I CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE OUT...P.S. IF THE SONOMA RIDGE MANAGER is on here trying to remove some of what is honestly described by their own residents, then that in itself should already be a RED FLAG. I can honestly say along with my neighbors that we all hate it here. Yes! the neighbors hate it here too. almost all but 2 of my neighbors moved out within 4 months of us living there. Their maintenance takes about at least a month to get their job done. They say they took down a work order and a week later it's missing. Their management is terrible.. when i first moved in, we had a leak for 2 months that was not fixed til we asked our neighbor for the corporate to make a complaint. When I asked the office for their corporate number, there employee ------- and their manager -- refused to give it to us saying they don't have that info to give.. Wtf??? It should be common knowledge.. oh and their corporate lady quit because she said she hated the place!!! now they have another lady working for them. I would recommend anyone living here to look up Pinnacle management and call their Tennessee or their Florida office for complaints. This is their corporate office by the way.. on top of that, there's always a robbery going on, my friend's car was broken into the day I moved in in front of the apartment. There's so much more to say but I'm sure you get the gist of it all. This is by far one of the worst place to live.. the neighbors are terrible, the community is terrible, the customer service sucks. oh and did i fail to mention that in the last 9 months I've lived here there were 6 shootings???? and we were only notified by the office once about it!!! JUST 1 out of the 9!!! and don't let them tell you about the GATED Community crap.. their gates are never working!!! PLEASE DON'T MOVE IN HERE!!!!

                        can't wait to move

                        i have been a resident at sonoma ridge for a few years and everything was great until about a year ago. there is a completely new staff and they don't seem to be great with follow-thru and communication. maintenance is good but used to be better and the property grounds have gone downhill. i can't wait until my lease is up. there are definitely better apartments in the area and they probably have a staff that is more competent than the staff at sonoma ridge.

                          Don't ruin your name

                          I am currently a resident here at Sonoma Ridge and everything about it from day one has been a disaster. All of the staff is petty much fake and very unprofessional, they just waste time in th office and make up new ways to scam the residents. Once I put in my three months notice they begin to pull fees out of there --- and now they're trying to sabotage me moving to a better complex. The pest control here suck! I've have been seeing a massive amount of roaches and ants every where, even in my microwave.I now have a leak coming from my ceiling which is going to the neighbors downstairs, a diaster. Sonoma Ridge could be a great place to stay if the staff cared a lot more. If I knew what I know now, I would have never made the move.

                            I love this place!

                            I have lived here for about 3 years now and I have to say it is by far the best apartment complex I have ever lived at! The apartments are BIG and the maintenance staff is wonderful! They always fix whatever problem you have right away. I know the office staff has changed recently but the management company is the same. The new office staff has been great as well, since the change they have done a ton more to get the community involved and I love it! Sonoma Ridge is a small community and it is nice to know your neighbors!

                              The lights are beautiful

                              I have lived in this apartment complex for a few months now and I have had a fair share of problems. But I was out walking my dog and there are 3 people who have really decked out their patio's with christmas lights. There is one that has so many lights that you can see it from space. I wished that more people in the community would decorate their patios and really make this palce feel like home. For the three people who really deck out your patios, thank you for showing your spirit for the season. As for the rest of the complex, its so dark and cold living here, I am new and seems like no one will just stop and chat with me. Sure makes me feel sad cause I am from the east coast and people there are so much more friendly. Oh well, I guess the west is a different world then the east.

                                Dont Rent from Sonoma Ridge!

                                I have lived here for 3 years now and am up for renewal, they have a completely new staff now and the assistant mgr quoted me my renewal amount. Well when i went in to renew my lease it wasnt the same amount it was more. And they dont want to do anything for me. They are allowing anyone to move into these apartments. i used to like living there and was proud, now i cant stand it. There's always trash lieing around i have had issued with the maintenance team and now this!!! Dont rent from here, save your money. You can get a nicer newer apartment for cheaper somewhere else!!!

                                  I agree..... Do NOT RENT with Sonomo, due to Manangement

                                  They penney and dimed me to death all the way to the end of my lease. On a possative note, I can say the maintance team is wonderful, they are there when you need them, very prompted. And the grounds crew does a good job. I am now rent a house for cheeper (in the same area) and I dont have to put up with the poor Management. In summary, I would not recommend Sonoma Ridge Appartments based the fact that its not worth what you will end up having to pay. But if you do, I suggest getting everything in writing and dont believe anything they "tell" you.

                                    Save some trouble, dont rent at Sonoma Ridge

                                    Firstly, let me say that the maintenance team here has been nothing but fantastic. Anytime there is a problem, they are on it ASAP. I would also say the grounds are in fairly good condition, with the occasional debris spotted, but thats to be expected when living in an apartment complex. As for the negatives: terrible management, although I am told the main problem, Karen has been sent to the sister property Tuscany Ridge. I had noisy neighbors, constantly complained about them, even calling police when loud music would blare at 2 AM, waking me up. Management's attitude lacked compassion and I was told to just wait it out, the tenant would be gone in a couple of months. It was then and there that I decided to take my business elsewhere and I am glad I did. After speaking to my other neighbors at Sonoma Ridge, the consensus was they were leaving as soon as their leases are up too. This place is begging for business, offering 3 months free and tenants a $300 referral bonus. Hopefully the new management can restore some luster to this place.

                                      Not Great Customer Service

                                      We recently applied for an apartment at Sonoma Ridge. Everything went well, with the exception of one thing - they didn't give us the full picture when we asked about their Direct TV service. We did not want to have a contract with Direct TV, and Sonoma Ridge told us it wasn't required, that we could have satellite service for six months with no further contract required. Technically, that's true. Unfortunately, if you go this route, it costs approximately $420 more in that six month period. Sonoma Ridge staff had no idea, and when we informed them this was not an option for us, their attitude was that we asked if we had to sign a contract with Direct TV, they answered us correctly, and that was the end of their responsibility to us. We didn't agree, so we chose to pick another place, one where being upfront and giving the WHOLE picture is a priority. Sonoma Ridge chose to stand by their decision that they were in the right and refused to refund our $59 dollar app fee. To us, doing the right thing, because it's the right thing to do is important. We didn't feel they did that.

                                        Manager needs to go!

                                        I have been a resident at Sonoma Ridge for over 2 years now. I have loved living here til just this past couple months. It's really sad, but after November we lost our assistant manager. Since then the property is going downhill. The assistant ran the office. Any problems or questions I had I went straight to her, not the general manager. She left in December (good for her, she needed to get out of there) and the sign out front now reads 3 months free! I have talked to residents and not a lot of people want to renew our leases because of the manager! She does not return phone calls, and if you ask her to help you with something, I feel like she does not know what she is doing! She has always sat in the back of the office so luckily you don't see her when you go in. She is not friendly if you do see her, and sadly you might here how she cusses in the back room while we are standing right out in the main office! It is really unprofessional! I hope that the management company does something about her, otherwise they will be needing to pay people to live here! If they can do something about the manager, then I would recommend this place to everyone! The maintenance is great!! The grounds are beautiful! If someone from SENTINEL reads this, please take action!! It's sad how fast things have become SO bad!

                                          Sad to leave!

                                          This place is amazing. My husband and I have lived here two years and think it is the best apartment out there. The grounds and beautiful and the apartments amazing. The staff has always been super nice and helpful. All maintenance issues are resolved the same day. THis is a really quiet community with nice renters. We are very sad we will have to move our next month but would suggest this apartment to anyone looking to move to Peoria!

                                            Sonoma Ridge is GREAT except for...

                                            I've lived here at Sonoma Ridge for nearly a year. I've paid my rent on time every month and never had any major issues. The property is in good shape, grounds are kept clean, etc. Whenever I submit a maintenance request the repairs have always been completed on the same day, usually within an hour or so. The ONLY complaint I have is the Manager. I recently had an issue with another resident and she treated me with utter contempt and practically refused to help and resolve the issue. I realize she isn't a referee but it seems as though there would have to be some sort of remedy within the structure of my signed lease regarding a neighbor disturbing my sleep on a regular basis with parties and such. It's sad but when my lease is up in a couple of months, I won't be staying. I hope the manager here finds a line of work she is more suited for. Apartment manager definitely isn't her line.

                                              Nice looking place, great neighbors, bad management

                                              I have been living at Sonoma Ridge for 8 months, and for the past 6 months I have been dealing with the neighbor beneath me and his horrible noise problem! He will start his music as early as 6 pm and play until 6 am, weekdays and weeknights. The management here was helpful at first (call the police, make a complaint here) but now, 6 months later, there is still a neighbor and he still blasts his music at least 3 nights a week. The general manager here is now telling me that MY apartment is the one creating the noise issue (on days I am not home...) and is no longer willing to help end the noise problem. Overall, this is a gorgeous place, and I love it, but the lack of sleep and now the lack of support/follow through/managerial work is pathetic.

                                                Super Happy with Sonoma Ridge

                                                This apartment complex is really nice. The amenities are great and the prices are reasonable. I have never had problem finding parking, a noise complaint, or any issues with maintenance or staff. The grounds are well kept, and there is security patrol at night. Another thing that I like about it, is it's not a huge complex, I hate living in those 50 building complexes where there is never any parking and the pool is always packed with residents and their friends.I've lived here for 2 years and the only reason I'm leaving is because my work is far away and I want to have a shorter commute. Another thing to mention is that it's location is great, it's in close proximity to shopping, movie theaters, restaurants, etc. I'm moving out in a couple weeks, I'll update this if they try to skimp me on my security deposit! Overall though, really great complex.

                                                  This place is great read this

                                                  I have lived here for almost two years now, after moving in with my girlfriend who was a current resident. We have been so impressed by many things. The property and amenities are always immaculate, very clean, and the grounds very well maintained. The gym needs to be improved and many machines replaced. The office staff and maintenance are always very nice, extremely accommodating, and professional. If I ever file a work order or have an issue it gets resolved correctly and immediately by the staff, usually within two hours, sometimes faster. The maintenance people are always very nice, do a great job and always stop to say hi. The people that work here remember all of the residents by name which may not seem like a big deal, but it is. They are all very attentive to our needs, and always are very personable. They make an effort to keep the property safe and have security patrol every night. The ONLY other thing (other than the gym) that needs improvement is, they need better lighting and more of it in the parking areas. I have no complaints at all and would highly recommend Sonoma Ridge to family, friends, and anyone looking for a safe, nice, wonderful community with excellent management and staff! IT IS ALSO A GREAT VALUE for what you get!
