A dedicated hard working group of professionals, both in the office and among the maintenance staff, make this place a good value for the money. Public transportation is literally a few steps away. The neighborhood has improved considerably in the four years that I have lived here. This is my third move within the complex.

Great place to live of you enjoy not having A/C fixed for three days in the middle of summer, the laziest maintainence staff in Phoenix, neighbors yelling at all hours of the day across the courtyard, and homeless people sleeping in your laundry room and digging through your trash.

I have lived in the complex for soon three years. I am still living there. I have moved once during this period to an upgraded apartment. I currently live very close to the swimming pool, the gym and the laundry facilities. Even though there is a great deal of activity in the pool, with my door closed, I hear nothing. The pool, laundry room and gym are kept in a hospital clean kind of a state. Contrary to what another post wrote, I have never had any problems with bedbugs, rats and cockroaches. The exterminator visits my apartment once a month. I have never found the office staff to be unhelpful and repairs have usually attended to very quickly. Mind you, as in all things, repairs are done on a triage type basis, from urgent to less urgent. Urgent matters can be handled in minutes and less urgent matters are tended to in a day or two. In my three years here, the property has undergone a much needed renovation. The parking lot was resurfaced, the roofs were upgraded, the equipment in the gym was tossed and new equipment was bought. There is free WiFi in the gym and the pool areas. It works. If you are habitually late paying your rent, this is not the place for you. Small items can also make a big difference. In the beginning, we had a wonderful postman for the complex. Unfortunately he became terminally ill and was replaced by a succession of uncaring idiots. There were problems with mail delivery. I am happy to report that with the arrival of a new permanent mailman the complex is once again well and timely served by the local post office. Additionally, North 12th Street has been seriously gentrifying over the last several years. When I moved in, the neighborhood was on the verge of either going very ------ or very middle class. It went very middle class, university students, public service employees and the like. Public transportation is at the door of the complex for those who do not have a car and since Phoenix expanded bus hours, buses now run from 04:00 am until 12h30 a.m. Additionally, for reasons that I never understood, the Phoenix Police actually maintain and rent an apartment of their own on the complex. Thus, as a rule, police matters are dealt with quickly and rapidly, generally speaking. Any questions, please contact me at . I would be happy to answer your detailed questions.

This place stinks , if you are a decent person , dont ever choose to live here . Bugs , roaches , rats in the ceilings , AC problems , Bathroom plumbing problems you name it , unsafe and to top it all the most outrageous and uncooperative staff . Sarah , Leticia and marisela all liars and just not helpful . Complained over and over about the bug problem that got worse after the neighbors were evicted . They kept spinning lies about fixing and never , eventually when i left they gave me a lease break bill and told me a lie that i never complained to them . I even sent emails to the corporate office . Stay away and live in a storage unit if you have to but dont go to this place .

Staff and other residents have been very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are well-maintained as well as the community facilities. I love that the parking spaces are covered and that the community is so animal/ kid friendly! Love this place!

I've been here a week. I am happy with my decision. I love my apartment, the staff, and my neighbors. The apartment has been upgraded with new flooring, appliances, and fixtures. The staff in the office and in maintenance do a great job. My neighbors are quiet, but friendly and helpful.

This is an okay apartment complex, but not great. It is mostly inexpensive, but rents can rise by large percentages from lease to lease. There are far too many smokers around here, fouling up the air much too often.

My husband, son and I lived here for a year. We give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars. Most of the washers and dryers in the laundry rooms were broken. Staff was okay with you until they had a chip on their shoulders and then not so nice. The grounds were kept up and looks great however we did have a minor problem with bugs.

You have to give 60 day notice to vacate apartment, how are you going to find an apartment that way. They also want you to have renters insurance. Most of the stoves are so old they don't heat. You will pay around $95 every month for sewer, water ,trash. They shut off water on average once a month. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF.

I really don't know where to start. I lived here for one year, the first 3/4 of which was pretty uneventful, as far as being a tenant here goes. Somewhere around June or July of this year, things started to make a turn for the worse. Lets start with all of the pros living at Camelback Cove, first.. Because there are a few: -The grounds are nicely kept. (At least in the front/middle where I lived. I can't really speak to the back half of the complex that I rarely saw.) That means the bushes and trees maintained, no excess of needles on walkways, or leaves in pools, etc.. -Pool is relatively clean... Although I took a dip the other day and the water smelled funny.. So? But there are always a lot of families that have children there. And there is only one pool. -In the front, there is a hot tub that is nice and private. Not too many people use it really. You need a key to get in. -My experience with the staff has been positive. They have always been on time with my work orders or tried to help when I have had concerns. (I do pay my rent on time, which might help.) -They just renovated and refurbished the workout room. There are some nice things in there now like a treadmill and multi-function weight lifting set up. Even some yoga mats. -Aside from children playing outside, people don't really blast their music or do anything loud. Now the cons.. And I hate to list them out, just because the staff really has been good to me.. But I am looking on apartmentratings for my next place... And I would like to know about these things before signing a lease.. So, cons: -The biggest, and most important, my unit failed a "test at home" air quality test, which means mold. I have been having respiratory issues like an aching chest, migraines and difficulty breathing for the past 3 months. 2 of which I didn't even stay here, it got so bad. I'm barely maintaining now because I rarely turn on my a/c. I have had other issues related to mold toxicity, too many to list.. But you can look them up online. You name it, i had it. And I only figured it out in the end when my lease was close to ending so I couldn't really do much. Just going to stress, no matter where you rent: inspect for warping and water damage. The areas under my sinks were warped when I moved in and I didn't say anything because there were no active leaks. There were also a couple incidents where the a/c started dripping when I turned it up... I thought it was condensation from the unit, but the maintenance guy had mentioned something like the drip pan being full.... So I think that's why the air test failed. There might have been moldy water sitting in there. -I have seen some reviews stating that their stove burners where dysfunctional. Same here. Only one worked properly. -The carpet was FILTHY when I moved in. Even though I had it professionally cleaned since then, it just got nastier. I have regretted not saying anything since Day 1.. -The WASHERS DO NOT WORK, and they haven't for a while. There have always been several "awaiting maintenance" since I moved in... However, for the past month there have only been 4 working washers for the entire complex (out of two laundry rooms). Now, the laundry room is closed ENTIRELY. And has been for at least 2 days that I've checked.. Don't know about before that. So better wash your clothes before you move in. -When the washers did work, they were always dirty and only one card loading station worked (there is 2 on site) -The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors pretty clearly. -There are A LOT of kids. This could be considered a good thing when it comes to the safety of the complex. I however, work from home, so to have them constantly yelling outside and almost running me over on their scooters, isn't ideal for me personally. I like to pick my battles though. -The gates for the property don't work all the time. The front one is usually closed, but the back one is always open. I live close to the back one, where homeless people used to dig through the trash can, until I think someone called the cops.. So they don't come around nearly as often. -Also, a lot of the lights in the parking lot in the back have gone out- so the safety is questionable.

Washing machines don't work. Most of the stoves do not heat properly. Don't be fooled by exterior. that the only thing that's nice. You will pay $80-90 for extra charges a month on top of rent.

I love the location of this apartment. I moved here for that only as I am new to Arizona. We have a new manager, she is very eager to help. I am not sure if that is what this place needed, but my work orders are resolved fast and she is always to the point. I always liked it here, but now love it and stay and sign again. It feels pleasant to go in the office when she is there. Thank you!

Moved in dec 2013 it is now 1/03/14 so I havent been here long but so far I love this place it was the most sqft for my money I'm getting 676sqft for 565 with no utilities included. The only things I'm not happy about is the stove is very old and outdated! It's electric with coils they don't heat evenly and I have to turn it on high for it to cook anything which makes the food burn so I'm constantly lowering and highering the temp while I cook! Also the vanity is outside and separate from the toilet and shower. The restroom is inside the bedroom so guest have to go through our room. I do notice the problem with the toilets others complain about but if you hold the handle down a few extra seconds it flushes just fine. I haven't noticed much construction they did do some on the pool but it was finished very fast! So far I haven't had any bug problems and haven't seen any pest control companies. Uh they don't allow dish only cox and the electric is aps

I have lived here for several years. It used to be very clean and quiet, but the past year they have been renting to a lot of questionable people who are loud and wander around all day and night. The rents have gone way up and it no longer attracts people not receiving government assistance. I don't care how people earn their living, but it seems their "businesses" have taken over the place.

I've lived at this property for 4 years and do not have one complaint about the staff or the neighbourhood. The staff is very professional and respond to any problems in a timely fashion. The people who live here are very friendly. The apartments are kept well maintained and I love that all of the amenities are opened 24hrs.I would definitely recommend living here If you are moving to central phoenix.

This apartment has been a laundry list of problems. I've been here less than six months and already I've had : My a/c unit break down twice, my toilet ripped out and the flooring of my bathroom torn up for a week for repairs, my oven coils have blown, the stairs beside my apartment closed off twice, once without any notice, then again to have the walkway just outside my apartment torn up and replaced for 5 days without any prior notice. The water has been shut off for 8 hours a day three times, the washers/dryers constantly break down and today the boiler repairs have amounted to the parking lot being torn up by heavy machines making it impossible for me to park my car by my building. I'm just waiting for the next problem. I've been lucky, according to the other reviews, that I don't have a roach problem or a problem with drug dealers. The people downstairs always slam there doors and shake my apartment. We are at the ens of a unit, so there is a walkway there. It still boggles my mind why you would have a crying toddler out and about around 11:30 at night, but that's not the complex's fault. I would say avoid this place if you can. It's not the worst place in the world, but it is a headache to deal with.

The grounds are very clean. The apartments are over populated with illegal aliens and the area is a gang run through. The locks on the front and back gates are always broken and although it is a gated community anyone can come in or out whenever they want. Every time they put new locks in... the locks are broken and popped within a few days. Non residents come in and go swimming during the night by jumping over the swimming pool fence. Homeless people are regularly in the laundry rooms washing clothes and using electricity to charge their cell phones.

Middle of the road
I moved here in April of 2009; I chose this place because I was financially stressed at the time and needed a place that was cheap, close to work and had easy access to public transit, this place had all three. I never really had problems while I was living here. The office staff was polite, if somewhat apathetic. I was never treated rudely and any issues I had were fixed in a timely manner. I even had an AC guy come in the middle of the night during the summer to fix my unit. I was very impressed and pleased by this. As for the complex itself...it's a classic case of "you get what you pay for." The complex isn't all that nice, it's definitely showing signs of wear and tear, and the landscaping is scarce or nonexistent. The washers and dryers were recently replaced; the tenants have managed to break every new washer at least once. There are unattended children running around the complex at all hours. My apartment was clearly home to pigs before I moved in, I had new carpet and the placed smelled like roaches. While cleaning I found several roach bodies. The complex's efforts to rid my unit of the smell have been pitiful. Worst of all, my apartment was broken into while I was living here. Not sure who would be at fault, just know that if you move in here, demand a new deadbolt or buy one yourself and provide a copy to management (avoid a fine). I would not recommend living here unless you're severely strapped for cash. In hindsight, I wouldn't have moved in.
