I am very pleased with my decision to make San Paulo Apartments my new home. After visiting 5 different apartment complexes in the Ahwatukee area, San Paulo was clearly my best choice. The amenities that sealed the deal for me... a smaller complex with a security gate entrance, the different floor plans available, custom features (crown molding in living room/dining areas, plant shelves, fireplace & built in bookshelves)& at the top of my list, very welcoming & willing assistance from the rental office to find an apartment to meet my floor plan & timing needs. Coming from many years of living in a single-dwelling home, I was skeptical about moving back into an apartment, but once I moved in I have been extremely pleased with my new 'home'. I'm also very pleased with the same welcoming & willing assistance & attitudes from all those who manage & maintain the complex. I have a 2 bdrm/2bathrm unit, with a great design & lay-out. It has more than exceeded my expectations of being able to turn an apartment into a comfortable home. I've also been very impressed with the immediate response & follow-through when I've contacted the office regarding several repairs needed. I highly recommend San Paulo Apartments for those who are looking for a comfortable place to call home.

When I moved here almost 2years ago I was so proud to call this place home. Now with the change of management this place has lost my trust and sense of security. This apartment one was at a99%rating and this was one of the reasons I was attracted to this place. They care about getting your money but could care less about your safety as security gates remain open throughout the night. Everyone has the same code to get into the gates so what's the point of having them. Grounds are not secure or well lit. No parking so if you don't come home ivy 4pm you find yourself parking outside the gate or even across the street at the grocery store. Something is always in need to get fixed and maintenance tries but I think they get tired of fixing stuff that they do just enough to get by and it breaks again. I wonder if they even screen who moves in now. If you report any strange signs to the office they ignore what you've stated. I overheard a resident say her car was vandalized and that the apartment told her to just call the police. Aren't there suppose to be cameras on premises. For the money I would say move somewhere else. This place has turned into just another apartment complex and not a place you would be proud to call home. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!

I have lived in San Paulo a little over 4 years. have loved living here. it is a very secure complex, especially for women alone. I have always felt safe even when out walking at night. The office staff, Krista and Jessica are always pleasant and helpful when you need assistance. The maintinance guys, Joe and Tim, are always quick to respond. I would highly recomend the complex to anyone that wants a little more quiet community with quick access to anything you might need. It is also easy to get on the freeway to go anywhere. Also easy to navigate main streets to get around Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert and Mesa. Great schools and medical facilities are nearby and easy to reach. Emergency responders, such as police and fire/paramedics are close also. It is just a great place to live. the grounds are kept clean.

Great apartments!

I took a tour around San Paulo with Krista before I rented an apartment. The grounds were kept very clean. Parking was well rounded. My brother and mom already lived there and always boasted about maintenance being there on time. Such a great value! The apartments themselves are nice quality and great layouts! Highly recommend!

Staff is extremely nice. Have had many maintenance issues. Upstairs water heater busted and still have areas of non cleanup or fixes in our apartment due to that.

Enjoyed our year stay

After moving to Phoenix from Pittsburgh, we looked at numerous apartments. San Paulo was by far the "best bang for our buck"! We lived at San Paulo for one year until we were able to purchase a home. The grounds were always in great shape as well as the pool/hot tub area (we do wish the pool/hot tub was open later). I understand that San Paulo is one of the older Pillar Communities which does have some downfalls. The apartments could use some energy efficient upgrades, such as windows, appliances and door frames. The only other downfall we encountered with San Paulo was the assigned parking spots. I was very happy to be assigned a covered parking spot but the spot that was assigned to us was in front of another building which made it inconvenient to unload groceries. I feel the office needs to re-evaluate their parking assignments. Overall, we enjoyed calling San Paulo "our home" for the short amount of time. Great staff and great amenities!

Beautiful, well maintained property with AWESOME management staff!

I love this place! The grounds are always clean and well maintained. Never any trash laying around, it sparkles! The maintinence team responds to service requests very quickly......they are very friendly and always say hi or stop to answer questions. The views are wonderful with walking trails everywhere......! The neigbhors are quite and friendly. The managment team in the office always answers questions, is friendly, and smile when you walk into their office. The pool is always clean and warm as is the jacuzzi! I love the close shopping nearby! Awesome for all!

Love it here

San Paulo Apartments is the best apartment community in Ahwatukee, by far! I lived in two other communities in the area, one being a Mark Taylor community, and they did not even come close to San Paulo, a Pillar Community. The staff here goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is satisfied, maintenance is amazing, and all my neighboors are very pleasant. I will continue to renew my lease here until i get ready to purchase a home, which Pillar can assist me with also!

I' never been happier

I've just recently had such a positive experience with the staff at San Paulo. I've live here for over 3 years and I went to renew my lease because I'm so happy living here, and I was offered another good deal so I signed another 12 month lease. Krista in the office is so sweet and accommodating and I wasn't sure I could live here longer because I'm on Social Security, but sure enough, they came up with a deal I couldn't refuse and I'm going to be able to stay. I want to stay because maintenance is really on top of things, a day or two at most, parking is adequate, grounds are kept up, it's gated and secure and speaking of secure, they have their own on property. Just what I need. Can't say enough good things about San Paulo. Thanks, Pillar Communities!

Great Place To Live

Being a part of the San Paulo apartement community has been a great experience. The staff is great, the community is clean and safe. The neighboring tenants are friendly and look out for one another. It truly is a "community" not just another apartment complex.

Ahwatukee's best!

San Paulo is more than just an apartment community to live in. All of the neighbors look out for each other and the staff takes great care of us. I have been living here for 5 years and I will keep renewing my lease unless I move out of state or buy a house one day. Maintenance is on top of everything within 24 hours if we ever need anything, and they do a great job landscaping their property. We have recommended this place to everyone we know and have made some great friends here. A lot of times you will catch the neighbors having bbq's out by the pool, and once a month the staff throws a party for us. We just had an Italian dinner night and the month before was a pancake breakfast. The complex is safe and I have never heard of any crime going on around here. It is also a great location because we can hike the mountain right next to us, the grocery store is literally right across the street, and the movie theater, shops, and restaurants are within two minutes of us. We love this place!

The best apartment complex in Ahwatukee!

I have lived at San Paulo for going on 4 years now and I will never leave unless I decide to buy a home. I have lived at other complexes in Ahwatukee before but they were very disappointing. San Paulo has very friendly staff and the maintenance always fixes anything that ever comes up right away. We have referred other friends to this complex because we know other people will love it as well. The community of people that live there are very nice and we are often bbqing as a community on a regular basis. The pool area makes you feel like you are on vacation because you can hear the swaying of the palm trees while listening to the water run down the waterfall. I highly recommend San Paulo to anyone who is looking for a great place to live!

San Paulo Apartments, Phoenix, Az

San Paulo Apartments off Ray Road in Phoenix is a very nice and affordable place to live. The management and maintenance are always promptly responsive to our needs and problem renters are not tolerated. My wife and I are recently retired and intended to live here for a few months; that was in 2007 (five years ago) and we are about to renew again. We enjoy it so much that we plan to live here a long time. Brooke was our first manager and was transferred to a different property and Krista is our current manager. They both exhibited professionalism and we have been delighted to have known both of them. The grounds are kept in great condition and the pets and noise have not been a problem. If you are looking for a place to stay for a year or a lifetime, you cannot find a prettier, cleaner or safer place. It is also across the street from a great neighborhood Frys Market and in close proximity to almost any shopping needs you might have. Yes it is pretty ovbious that we enjoy living here because Pillar Properties sets their performance bar pretty high. Rich and Ran....March, 2012

Great Place to Live

I lived at San Paulo for 20 months and loved every moment. The apartment that I had was a one bedroom on the south side of the complex, overlooking the mountain preserve. The view was so peaceful and private. The apartment was also very quiet with not much neighbor noise. I also really appreciate the extra attention and consistency that the office and maintenance staff provided. Krista, the property manager, made me feel so welcome from the time that I signed my lease until the time that it was time to move. If it were not for a great opportunity to relocate my life, I would have renewed my lease without hesitation. I would highly recommend anyone to live in San Paulo.

LOVE this place!

I have lived here for 8 years and would never leave unless I buy a house or move back to California. The units themselves are very spacious and bright. High ceilings, great views, large patios with storage, washer/dryer in the unit etc. The property is well-kept, clean, and landscaped beautifully. It is pet friendly and very affordable for everything that you get while living here. The complex is located near all the stores you will ever need. The office staff is very nice and responsive and professional. The maintenance staff is very knowledgeable, prompt and caring. It's apparent that they collectively care about this complex and its tenants and I've never waited more than a day for a work order to be completed. All urgent matters are attended to accordingly as well. Life is so peaceful here and I will forever be grateful to the person who referred me to San Paulo 'cos it truly is the best kept secret of Ahwatukee.

Nice place to live

I have been a resident at San Paulo, two different units, since 8/05. The office staff has changed a few times over the years, but they seem to know everyone by name and are very friendly and responsive. I have always enjoyed the convenient location, the fitness center has excellent equipment, and the maintenance staff is always prompt to address to any repair issues and the common areas are kept clean. The pool area is always kept clean even though it gets a lot of daily use. There are gas grills at the pool area and they are cleaned daily. I have been very happy with my choice of making San Paulo my home these past few years.

Overall Best Apartments I've Lived In.

I have lived in four different complexes and San Paulo is by far the best. The staff (office staff, maintenance, etc.) knows everyone here by name. They are always going out of their way to accommodate residents and make sure their needs are met. The property is always well kept and the maintenance staff is always timely. I lived here for one year in 2008 and tried two other apartment complexes to be closer to my family. I moved back here two years ago and felt such a relief knowing this complex would not have the problems the other two complexes had. Unless i buy myself a house, I won't leave this complex again.

BEST KEPT SECRET IN PHOENIX!

I do not agree with the prior posting, nor have any of their complaints been my experience after 3 years being a resident at San Paulo at this address. The manager that was here when I first moved in was a gracious young lady that listened to any concerns that you had and fixed them. The second manager has been here for 2 years and has been nothing but gracious and glad to see me each time I enter the office. Maintenance fixes on the same day or the next, unless parts are required. Noise is minimal or average for an apt, yes you live with alot of people within certain square footage and apts do require lawn mowers, blowers, and carpet maintenance to survive. Parking was never an issue for me, I was assigned a spot, no one ever parks there but me, and that's that. I rave about where I live to everyone I know. I've made some wonderful friends at San Paulo, enjoyed their ammenities and get togethers for the residents, my concerns are always met with a timely response and I get great rental prices. Thanks, San Paulo!
