BEWARE!!! THIS IS THE WORST IN GWINNETT!!!!! PLEASE RECONSIDER!!!!

My husband and I have had the worst experience with this company!!!Stolen rent checks, two carwrecks (neighbors and ours), fist fighting neighbors, daily broken gates, lost mail-UGA diploma, horrible rude management, drunk and high pool members, car wash that is always busy with Wesly workers using it, charged water fee at end of the month when we didn't even live there for 5 months, not letting you EVER cut your lease!!!, crazy drunks who drive at 4am in the grass yelling & waking you up, not letting you have your last deposit back even when the apt. is perfect and the last walk through was great, Wesly computer always broken, staff who lies to your face:if you can find them, no phone calls back about a fight outside, and being woke up by gang membors yelling into their phone that they are going to kill the person on the other line (really). Seriously I think if you read this, you will change your mind about living there!!!! Please don't go through the hell I went through. My husband and I bought a house 5 months before our lease was up because of so many problems. I thank God every day for this blessing!!!!

    Best place on the planet

    Wow! After reading all these messages, I wonder if it's the same community. I came on hear to speak of how far and beyond these people went to help me move in....Kara stayed late because I was stuck in traffic...the fridge wasn't cooling so she called maint. and they had it fixed within thirty minutes. i'd recommend it to everybody

      The worst management of any company I've ever worked with

      Even though I've left, the management still haunts me! I vacated my apartment on the last day of the month and dropped my keys in the drop box (as instructed by a leasing consultant) because no one was in the office during business hours. Because rent isn't due until the 3rd, the drop box was not checked until that date. So, Wesley charged me for three days of "month to month" rent for an apartment I wasn't in (I was actually in another state). When I didn't pay the fee, they brought me to collections and reported the incident to the credit bureau. I paid the fee to fix my credit, but I don't owe it!! The collections agent says the only thing I can do is take them to small claims court, but since I don't have hard proof that they told me verbally to drop it in the box, I probably won't win. I've already called corporate and left a message, however, once again, haven't heard back. I plan to move forward with complaints to whoever will listen until I receive my money back. Please don't move into this apartment. The units are very nice and the area isn't bad, but I'd hate to see this apartment take advantage of anyone else.

        Beautiful apt, but very bad apt management.

        DO NOT MOVE HERE...lost 2 of my packages...took a month to fix a leaking toilet and i called, wrote and faxed for help...they lie about everything....the gates suck do not move here...

          Excellent apt

          I have read other reviews and have had none of the problems that I am reading about. I moved in 1/07. The apartments are georgeous. I never hear or see my neighbors. I have no pest or parking problems. Management is always kind to me. I just love the apts and have had several friends move here as well that truly love living here as well. I am going to renew my lease for sure when this one is up

            Everything that glitters isn't gold!

            I have been living in a two bedroom apartent at Wesley Herrington Apartments for two years, and ever since I have lived here, the leasing consultants and managers have always taken here precious time to respond and correct maintenance requests. Management does not seem to be too interested in handling concerns or complaints either. And, don't bother calling, you'll wait three months for a response. Although, I can't deny that the apartments are nice and spacious, I am moving soon, even to a smaller apartment if I have to, to somehwere else where the company really lives up to their "customer service pledge". From leaks, to roaches, to spiders, to clogged drains and appliances, I have struggled to get my problems fixed, not to mention in a tmely manner. I have called customer service with no return call, and have even spoken with managers face to face, but no true consolation for my frustrations. Good lick if you move here; I hope you have a bette experience

              DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

              I have lived here for 2 years off and on. I have had to deal with a bug problem, noise problem, and the rude, lying management. This management never cleaned my carpet the whole 16 months I lived there. Management then charged me to clean my carpet then lied and told me that if I paid it I would get my deposit back. Once I moved out, and inquired about my deposit, they hit me with this 111.50 additional water bill. PLEASE DON'T GET TRICKED INTO MOVING HERE! For as long as I have been a resident there, I have had a set water bill of 35.00 for a one bedroom apartment. This community is only interested in screwing their residents over. LEASING HERE WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKES OF MY LIFE!!!

                nice apartment, horrible everything else

                Biggest rental mistake of my life. The unit itself is very nice, but nothing else about this complex is. The staff lie. We were told three different stories by three different members of the staff about the same situation. No walk through done before move in by staff. Carpet was not cleaned prior to move in although we were promised it would be. Another lie (I clean carpet professionally and can tell has and has not been cleaned). Slow response on any maintenance request. Staff does not uphold policies. Everyday somebody has trash outside of their front door. Pets run freely unleashed constantly. Tenants must use the same gate as visitors unless you are willing to pay additional money for a remote for the other gate (the gate card you purchase won't work on that gate). Needless to say we will not be renewing our lease and can not wait to leave this place. DO NOT RENT HERE.

                      Moving-in Process took forever!

                      The management staff are liars! I mean is it that hard to respond back? Also I have not done the walk through yet. When we moved in roaches were everywhere, carpet wasn't clean, water comes out weak, toliet is broken and so much other problems. Don't get me wrong, the apt. floor plan is beautiful. But MY GOD! Maybe I was just set in the wrong room. Anyways overall its just O.K. But hey if your living in any apt. you're going to just have to live with it. Buy a house if you dont want any problems. I totally understand, but I would greatly appreciate it if the manangement team did there job. If not let me try working there! I bet you I could do a much better job!!!!!

                        When I moved into the complex it was great. It stayed this way up until September, now I can not wait for my lease to end. I miss V, the rest of the staff are just liars. The new girl Louisa is cool too, but the rest of them are really rude and nothing is ever their fault. The lose rent checks and then leave notes on your door like you have not paid your rent and to top it off they take their time fixing the problem. And their corporate staff is even worse. They do not return phone calls and when they do you are told to talk to the community manager. Hello people if he had done his job to begin with I would not be calling you!!! And the kids are everywhere now all times of the night, and the insullation in the walls must be non existent, I hear everything that goeson at my neighbors apartment.This community is going downhill really fast.

                          We have an office staff?

                          There really is no good place to start. I had to move two bikes and toys just to be able to walk into my apartment today when I got home. If you like to let your children roam the grounds this is the place for you. They are allowed to scream and beat on doors. They are allowed to pull fire alarms only to have the maintence people take a couple hours to find out which one of them has the key to get into the box to turn it off. Do you like your dumpster to be overflowing with couches and various other furniture inside it? Then this is the place for you. Do you like either not being able to open the gate or just having it broken? Guess what this place is for you. I am on a countdown until I can get out of this place. The people above me must weigh 2000 pounds because I can hear them everywhere they go in their apartment. Oh and don't count on sleep unless you have their sleep schedual. I can tell you that they get up at 7:45 and stomp about til 8:30 in the mornings. Parking? Don't look here. Matter in fact unless you like the slums go FAR away from here. The garage across the hall from me got broken into not to long ago. The office was notified and said they would call the cops. Who knows if they did or if anyone in that office knows how to use a phone.

                            Going Downhill Fast

                            I've been at Wesley Herrington since October 2004, when my roommate and I first moved in the place was great. The staff (at the time) was awesome, we actually knew one of the guys in the front office, so things were pretty good. The place was everything the website and print ads said it was, the pool was nice, the gates worked, the trash-dumpster was maintained, and if you had a maintenance issue the maintenance staff WAS great. <br>However, after renewing our lease for another year, a new management staff came in, and things have slowly started taking a dive. The gate is always broken, or in the process of breaking, the trash-dumpster is always over flowing, junk, garbage, trash, toys, bikes and other miscellaneous items are constantly left in the breezeways. Kids run rampant through out the complex, in and out of the breezeways, knocking on doors then running away, running out in front of cars, playing in the middle of the street. They’ve even pulled the fire alarms several times, which has evidentially broken the fire alarm system. The Fire Alarm is STILL Beeping. NOT the smoke alarm, the fire alarm outside the apartments in the breezeway. This is an ongoing issue that has STILL NOT been addressed after almost six months. Heaven forbid you make a complaint, good luck getting anything done about it. And when it comes to fellow neighbors, the new staff must have NO standards, cause the place if filling up with wanna be gangstas and punks with ridiculous car stereos. I’ve actually had to call the police TWICE since I’ve lived here, because of our neighbors, and I was told to call the police by the front office, who said “we can only do so much”. When I ask the police what I should do, they say “take it up with management”. What the heck is a tenant suppose to do? <br>I would not recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay for a while, it’s not the worst place in Gwinnett, but it’s slowly getting there.

                              Office management is HORRIBLE! The truth is difficult to tell for them, they cannot be trusted, and have terrible management skills. Manager hides behind walls and peeks around corners when confronted with issues. Pushes them off on other staff (younger/less mature, and experienced staff), if that's more possible than her. Great apartment, will not renew next summer because office staff is extremely unprofessional. As for all the drug talk in the other reviews, I have yet to see any of that. HOnestly, I feel safe here. I've spoken personally to the cops to inquire about how often they are here, and based on what they say, hardly ever! My ONLY complaint is management of the community, not the community or the apartment.

                                Bad neighbors, good apartment

                                I've been living at Wesley Herrington for nearly one year. I moved into the new phase just after it opened. I love my floor plan, carpet, and the island in the kitchen. And the price is great!! For me, the location is good and it feels about as safe as an apartment complex in Gwinnett is going to feel. <br><br>However, I have had very bad experiences with the management and my neighbors. I work long hours and often have to work weekends, however (so I truly value sleep), it doesn't seem to make much of a difference to my neighbors. On all sides, I am surrounded by kareoke nights (with a very impressive version of "Red neck yacht club"), Latino punk, tribal rap, and hip hop. When it isn't coming from my neighbors, it's coming from some idiot who decides to clean his car and keep the radio on at 3 on a monday night. The courtesy patrol officer tries to help and acts quickly, however, he recently told me that people turn down the music when he comes and don't answer the door. The management is always "out" and does not return ANY phone messages, no matter when or how many are left. <br><br>I would only recommend the complex to students who are looking for a good party apartment with a management staff who will let you party it up on any weeknight. Beer bottles and cigarettes along with all kinds of trash are always spilling out into the parking lot. I feel like I'm in college all over again! I'm getting out of this fraternity house as soon as my lease is up!

                                  I've been at Wesley Herrington for 1.5 years. I've read some of the comments and although most are true, it's been great overall living here. Where's V? Tiffany please smile more and Missy your great. Love the maintenance guys. I will be at Herrington one more year then off to a house to have total peace from apartment living. Most of your comments and complaints you'll find at most other apartments. If you want quiet, want to pay your own living space water utilities and don't have to worry about broken gates - BECOME A HOMEOWNER (it's that simple).

                                      Please don't join !!!

                                      I have been them for some time now. They have always tried to fool people and i am highly disappointed. I did a huge mistake of signing a longer lease. They are now printing brochures/fliers saying that you have free internet but it is only for 3 months which is not mentioned anywhere. Also, they have usi (https://www.usibills.com/) for their water/sewer billings. Instead of paying per your usage, they charge a flat rate of $45 which they have constantly increased. it was $25 earlier when I moved and they increased it to $35 and now it is $45. I am single and in a 1 bedroom. Should I be charged $45 for water/sewage? This is totally UNFAIR. I contacted the water company and they said that they charge the individual apartments based on usage, then why is Wesley charging me this exhorbitantly higher rate. I have tried to talk with the staff but they told me that they can't do anything. Also note, folks, there is no laundry facility in the complex. And there is none nearby. In addition to your monthly rent, exhorbitant utlities, washer dryer charges, you would also have to shell out renter's insurance. Another point, for 560 apartments, they have a single swimming pool. Even though they boost of a huge park area, there are no swings etc for kids to play with. The entry gate is broken many times. There is trash on the road outside the apartment most of the times. The people above me make a lot of noise and I have complaint to the staff many time and they haven't done anything. Overall ratings negative. The landscape is ok but not much greenery around. I am sure their will be people who might have had a better experience, but after talking with some of my neighbours they share my feelings. The manager has tried to defend some of the issues earlier but besides writing in this forum, she has to keep up with the promises and work on the property as well.

                                        i hate this f*** place

                                        This place completely sucks. We're supposed to be getting a park. No park yet. Our apartment wasn't cleaned before we moved in. There was food caked in the cabinets so thoroughly, that we still can't get it out. The carpets had nails and staples all over the place, as well as black stains. We have to keep paper towels everywhere that we keep dishes, to make sure they don't get dirty.<br><br>They overcharged us, and when we brought that up, it took 2-3 months to get the discount on our rent to make up for it(which still doesn't cover all of the overcharge). When we called about it, they lied and said the person we needed to talk to wasn't there. We then called back immediately, and the person who was supposedly not there answered the phone. There's alot of noise. Theres no such thing as customer service here. You are better off renting at extended stay hotels.

                                            DON"T GIVE THEM A DIME

                                            After I turned in my application with mine and my wifes information, then I paid $250 IN DEPOSITS...THEN 3 DAYS LATER THEY TELL ME I NEED TO FILL ONE OUT SEPERATELY, BY THIS TIME I am driving 2 1/2 hours one way to work while waiting on an apartment. then they up the deposit...and tell me I loose all my deposit if I pull out...<br><br>bull...I will sue...don't give them a dime until they tell you the whole deal...

                                              Unprofessional and Very Misleading!!!!!

                                              My family and I relocated here to Georgia from New Orleans because of Hurricane Katrina, and we came to see The Wesley Herrington Apartments, and in the beginning everything seemed o.k. but little did I know there was much more going on? I proceeded to apply for the apartment and gave my deposit without hesitation, and upon receiving my deposit, I was not notified that in the event that I would not be approved that there would be a $100.00 fee for being turned down? The intial fee was $200.00 so I was under the impression that if it did not work out I would get my entire deposit back?, little did I know that was not the case! So after finding this out, I explained to management that I could not afford to just give them $100.00 and I still did not get the Apartment? So after several attempts of trying to get information on how and when I would get my remaining $100.00, I just kept hitting these roadblocks, and no one would give me any information and the person who I initially spoke to was always in and out, or with a customer?, so I asked for the manager?, but to no avail the manager was always busy as well?, so after (3) MONTHS!!!! I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL $100.00 THAT WAS OWED TO ME. I have talked to the Assistant Manager on numerous occassions and she continues to tell me stories of how they're so busy and they will be sending it out within the week, and a whole lot of other B.S.?!!! Til this day... I still have not received anything from Wesley Herrington and probably won't?!! So all I can say is I do not recommend ANYONE!!!!! live at Wesley Herrington because they are so Unprofessional and they are not trust worthy people and they're staff is totally clueless!!!! No one wanted to help me or try to resolve this matter as of yet, but I guarantee you if I had moved there and was paying them rent and I was late for whatever reason?, they would not hesitate to evict me and lease my unit to someone else, but instead I have to be treated in this way, and there is basically nothing I can do about it at this point?!!!! I guess when I least expect it they (might?) send it?! or then again they may not?!!! It's taken them this long to send only $100.00? and look at how much they are charging for rent? and they cannot refund $100.00? I WOULD NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THEIR PROPERTY EVER!!!!!!! I lost everything and to come all the way to georgia to be ripped off is not what I had in mind!!!!! Signed very Disappointed and P.O.ed!!!!!!!!!

                                                GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!!!!

                                                All I can say about all the negative reviews is that bad news travels faster than good news. Here is a positive perspective on Wesley Herrington...<br>I have lived at Wesley Herrington for almost 9 months now and I love it. The apartments are beautiful and almost brand new. It's a fairly quiet for an apartment complex and the neighbors are courteous and respectful. The staff is friendly and (for the most part) helpful. The only complaint that I have is with the gate/gate cards. Traffic can sometimes be backed up at the gate which can be annoying. I had a small ant problem over the summer. Other than that, I love it here! <br>This place is much better than the apartments that I've lived in in the past. I would recommend Wesley Herrington to anyone!

                                                  When i moved to georgia in 2002 i got an apartment at Wesley Place. When Our lease was finished i transfered to Herrington. In 2003, when i checked my credit report a collection had been placed by Wesley place for over $2000. I had to resign a lease b/c I could not clear the matter before my lease was up and nobody else would let us rent. Now that I have left wesley herrington ,with written documentation of no balance, I have another credit company after me for $115 dollar balance i do not owe. If i don't get this clear i plan on taking the management co. to court.
