It's been great. My building has lots of caring senior citizens who care for this building as if it were their own home. It's wonderful. They are respectful, kind, considerate and friendly. A great place to live being retired.

    Over the years it has deteriorated. The office staff was always helpful and respectful. They are now unbelievably defensive - no comments or suggestions are accepted with courtesy. They are immediately attacked The place is sloppy - papers all over. It's embarrassing They do a good job decorating for Christmas and the food trucks and other perks are nice

        Hasn't been the same since the new company took over. They seem to move in anyone and everyone just to fill the space and get their money. The manager in the office could use an attitude adjustment. It's like a revolving door when it comes to tenants moving in and out, no one stays. They claim to be "pet friendly" but god forbid you have family or a friend with a dog, the pet can't visit. Did tuck pointing during the summer, never cared to clean the windows, cars were covered with dust, they didn't care. Deck and grill were covered with dust, they told us to just brush it off, mind you this stuff stuck to the grill and deck and couldn't just be brushed off. They act like they care about the tenants but they don't.

          I love living at Farmingdale! The outdoor grounds are well kept. It is very peaceful and spacious. I wish the cleaning staff did a better job cleaning the floors. They wet the floors without drying them. When people walk on them before drying they look unclean. They could also wipe down the doors and elevators.

            Apartments have a lot of space and close to schools, restaurants and shopping, plus several highways and Metra stations . Very convenient location and relatively quiet even though on 75th Street. Lots of green space and natural areas close by.

              I find the staff to be professional and courteous. I have only lived here a couple of months but so far it has been great! Maintenance and grounds staff are kind and professional. Leasing staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Farmingdale attempts to build a community by offering opportunities to engage with staff and other tenants. Pet friendly as well. There are several pets on my floor.

                    Beautiful area, quiet, dog friendly, close to shopping, very clean. i moved from Chicago to the suburbs and looked at several apartments. this one was so close to I55 and 83 that it was very convienent for travel

                      Management has upgraded the property recently and continues to do so. Exercise room and pool area is especially good and follows COVID precautions. Residents are friendly and special events are easy to attend and enjoy.

                        Moved into Farmingdale in 2000 in apt. 305, moved to 307 during complete rehab of building. I am satisfied with apartment for now, not always happy with way things are handled as far as rent payments and what they encompass.

                          Thus far I've has an awesome stay at Farmingdale! We love our apartment, the amenities the community offer and the awesome sunset from our balcony.                             Overall the experience has been a positive one but there have been issues that have come up over time. Our original maintenance ticket from move in has not been completely addressed. Our patio doors were screwed shut for the better part of a year to replace our nice, concrete balconies with wooden ones that shake when the people above are using them.. they are also half unpainted still, but supposedly fair better during harsh weather. There was a period where the fire alarms were going off multiple times a week and we never really got an explanation or an apology. The office staff doesn't communicate when they need to shut the water off or for other emergency maintenance. This has only happened 3 or 4 times but I think the tenants would appreciate a heads up. Despite all of this the apartments themselves are nice, spacious, and some have new appliances. The apartments with older appliances will replace them when needed- we have had to replace a few of ours and it's been done quickly. In-unit laundry is really nice but prepare to launder larger items like duvets and comforters at the dry cleaners because the washers are small. The package lockers and mail room are convenient, as is the garage parking spaces. There is a pool onsite, however they frequently change the pool hours and it's often closed by the time most people get off of work and it's not open on Sundays. It isn't a large pool so I think only two or three families can really enjoy it at one time, limiting who can use it on Saturdays. Later pool hours daily would be so much more beneficial to the complex, since some of us don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to join a local rec club. They did just renovate the clubhouse and fitness center and they look nice, but that makes me wonder how their responses to other reviews for ignoring maintenance issues being due to COVID holds up when they were able to do huge renovations without issue.

                              Nice apartment community and nice city to live in. Great schools within walking distance. Large apartments where you control your own heart and air conditioning! Office staff is friendly and helpful. And maintenance staff is expeditious, thorough and competent! I am very happy with my decision to live here!

                                Overall good. The office and maintenance staff are great. I wish there was a way for them to enforce their mandates better. For example, all during the pandemic, I have seen certain residents that do not wear masks in the buildings.

                                  So far its been good. My floor and neighbors are quiet, but the rest of the building has some fits and starts. The garage and basement are very dirty, especially the garbage areas that have a lot of fruit flies. Vandalism is rampant. Any posting in the elevator always ends up torn or ripped. The front door frequently gets broken. Common areas could be cleaner, the stairways are not cleaned very often at all.

                                    I can understand your frustration however we are doing garage and trash room cleanings thought-out the property and this will be done at lease twice a year. If you see vandalism please let me know right away so we can try to address it as soon as possible. We are waiting on some parts to change out the locks for several doors here as we have some that are not working correctly, they do get a lot of use so sometimes they stop working.                                         The community is excellent from all sides ... I rent 3bed room and I liked the washer and dryer inside the apartment ... I have only a concern about the electricity bill as it reachs above 500$ per month in winter season !.

                                          It's been okay. It could use some significant updates for what is charged for rent. However, office staff is responsive. If you have loud neighbors, you'll hear it through the walls and above you. They are good with maintenance of common areas. Having an elevator is nice. Most residents I've seen are older and friendly. I think we need more parking. Unless you pay extra for an assigned spot, you'll be parking on the street sometimes which can result in tickets if you don't call it in. Fairly close to the highway (55). Target, Walmart, lots of good options, and a great library nearby. Pretty convenient location.

                                            We are working very hard to get some things updated here at Farmingdale, we have made some great improvements over the last year. However since Covid it has put a hold on some things we had set to do but will be getting those scheduled again soon. I can understand your frustration, with apartment living you can sometimes hear things, see things and smell things. The elevators are a great addition to the buildings. I am so happy you are pleased with our management and staff. I know parking in the front buildings can be tricky but if you call the office I would be glad to give some suggestions. I do agree we are in the middle of everything and we have so many things so close to us it is very convenient.

                                            Farmingdale has wonderful staff, beautiful greenery and large trees and shrubs. It is very peaceful to live here. The pool is a great way to refresh in the summer or just lay out. The garage is heated for easier use in winter

                                              Fire alarm system keep faulting for more than a year now more than a once per month and still takes forever for management to figure it out !!!! And every time we have to follow the guidelines and leave the building until they fix it and still happening again and again

                                                We completely understand how frustrating this was as it was just as frustrating to us. The issue was a pump that was not working correctly. This was not something our maintenance could fix and with Covid happening it took a a while to get all the different help we needed here when we needed them and with weather and Covid it was not easy. It did take a while to actually find the problem as the system ran though all 4 buildings and as we were fixing it the alarms went off a few time there also. However even though it took so long and was very frustrating we were still very safe and the alarms were working and now the pump is fixed and we are doing well. We apologize for the long prosses and frustration but we are all back up and running correctly.

                                                I have been so happy since I moved to Farmingdale Apartments, especially during these past few weeks. Resident Appreciation week was amazing.                                                   I haven't had air conditioning since 9/2, it is now 9/16. I was told Freon would be replaced "at a later date" with no follow up or response to several emails. Apparently after your rent is paid maintenance requests are forgotten.
