Great staff! Very helpful. The apartment could be updated old kitchen sink and counter top. Comcast and WiFi connections very outdated. The garage floor is very dirty! We had to sweep out our own parking spot so we didn't walk in mud.

Farmingdale was once a nice place to live. When Aimco sold out to Heartland Investors is when the disconnect happened. Due to the Mold/Black Mold growing in the Underground Parking area (Under our apartment) I became very ill with Constant Sinus Infections. Loss of smell and Sick. The mold made me so Ill. Its a horrible situation. I have pictures of same. NOTHING was done to remedy this horrible living situation. I Loved my apartment and lived there for a decade. WE MOVED.

We just moved in temporarily until our new home is completed. The apartment is very very clean. The Manager Audrey Chiodo is very nice and focused on resolving tenant issues and she has been a big help to us.

This complex was initially deemed a decent domicile. However, that perspective has changed Dramatically. When my most recent rental agreement expired, I was initially offered a renewal at one rate (and my fault was that I didn't get it in writing; however, I affirm my complaint is valid and they know it) they renege and forced me to accept a rental agreement at different and higher rate. It is the principle of the situation that irks me most. This used to be a decent, reputable place; however I know longer sense that is the case. My family is NOT appreciated here and I warn and caution anyone considering moving to The Farmingdale Apartments (Darien, IL) or any of it parent company affiliates, DO NOT do so as management will lie to you. Quiet community. Everyone is friendly and it's super clean, except for the garage. The management is thorough with phone calls and requests. I don't know what else to say so I'm just gonna fill in this.

I like the apartment but the office staff and maintenance have been horrible. So hard to get ahold of. If you want anything done you have to take time and go wait in the office no one ever answers the phones

The support and quality of the management and maintenance team has always been very good. The apartment community is a good place to live with a quiet and welcoming feeling. However the appliances and amenities could be updated.

Satisfied with community until Heartland took over in the Spring of 2019. New management treated me like dirt and I had no air conditioning for the final 22 days before I moved out in June. Heartland doesn't care about their renters.

Too many problems exist living here. Constant no water issues, leaks, no elevator working, lack of communication from staff. Maintenance lacks knowledge and are understaffed. Office rarely answers phone.

Just took a shower, the first 5 min the water went from ice cold to burning, has done since I moved in. Apartments were just bought buy a new company. New manager is not people friendly and didn't fix the HVAC after months of it not working, until I threw a fit and complained for days. Plumbing exploded in parking garage, they still haven't cleaned up the feces and toilet paper/disposable wipes mess that spread all over the parking garage floor. This is private parking btw that we pay extra for. It is a no-smoking facility, neighbors below smoke and smell fills my apartment., they also have a dog that can bark for 10 hours straight. New manager actually told me to call the police, the police said there's nothing they can do. It is the apartment managers duty to withhold the policies of the building. This is a nicer part of Illinois, the service and quality is very low for $1900 per month rent. Seems like the typical high price for the area but the service should be much much much better.

It has been good so far. The staff here are courteous and responsive and are happy to help in any manner they can. The only concern I have is related to the utilities billing. I was leased on the apartment but was not staying as I still had my previous place available to me. Even when I was not staying in the apartment, I was billed $80+ for 2 months straight. Not the kind of service you expect.

Everything is good. I like the neighborhood. We have some issue this year at the moment that we try to renew the lease, I do not know who but they could never call my phone number to do the renewal (my number is foreign), but everything else is good.

We just moved but we are very happy with our place, building is clean and staff is very friendly, apartment is very big in compare to others apartments that we saw before. Our pet is very happy and already feels very comfortable.

My neighbors are all very pleasant and considerate. Farmingdale is a quiet, enjoyable living experience. I feel safe and secure in my apartment and on the grounds of the community. I would recommend Farmingdale to anyone looking for a comfortable and safe place to live.

Farmingdale is a beautiful apartment complex with very large units and well maintained landscaping. My neighbors are friendly and respectful. It is a quiet, safe community with ample parking that is in close proximity to schools, freeways, restaurants and shopping.

1. I moved in in 2015 since then my rent has gone up over $140 a month. 2. Add about $200 to the rent because they will charge you for everything. They add a $5 fee so they can charge you more for utilities. Ask them what the fee is for and they won't respond. 3. rate them badly and they will hassle you to get an answer to ignore your response. i've sent multiple e-mails and have never heard back. Once you tell them why you rated them badly that's as far as it goes. 4. Fire alarm was broken for almost 2 months. it would go off at least once a week it went off tenants stopped evacuating. Farmingdale pointed their fingers at me because of a grill that was not on until AFTER the fire alarm was going off. I told them to focus on fixing the fire alarm and not blaming tenants they reply back weeks later "we fixed the elevator" . Fire department left a notice on door that fire alarm was broken and notice was not to be removed until fixed. Farmingdale removed all the signs that week and only left it on one door in the garage that no one uses. 5. Every lease online is for 15 months. I'm a current resident and they refuse to offer me a 15 month lease. That's discrimination. 6. Memorial day(may 29th) they placed a note on every tenant's door in my building saying they are doing maintenance on Tues May 30th. Giving residents 19 hours in advance that Farmingdale needs the closet cleaned out so it can do AC maintenance. Less than 24 hours in advance and yet Tues May 30th they do not show up. I email them and hear back two days later. They say they're coming Fri June 2nd. I get home and find they went into my apartment Thur June 1st and coming back Mon Jun 5th. This is how bad their communication is. I complained and their excuse "two other buildings had no problem". So they admitted that they gave 3 buildings less than 24 hours in advance that they are doing mandatory maintenance. 7. scheduled a maintenance appointment and i have to hire a dog sitter. Maintenance comes a day early and tries to key themselves in.

I'm so excited to be here! The apartment is such a great size for an amazing price. Honestly, my main priority when looking for a new place to live was safety and neighborhood. I have a toddler and I don't want to live in an area with crime or anything I might worry about as a single mother. I feel safe here at all hours of the day. The staff is great and always friendly! I'm excited to meet some new neighbors and I see my little one has other little ones living near by too!

The community is great for families that have children. We are withing walking distance to Hinsdale South High School and directly across the street from Our Lady of Peace church. Our grounds are well kept, quiet, perfectly safe for nighttime strolls. They have made improvements this year on the outside- parking lot repaving and striping, tuckpointing and dead tree removal. There are quite a bit of trees that are a nuisance so be careful where you park.

My wife and Inhave just moved into the apartment last week. So far we had an easy move in and the apartment itself is great. Wood laminate flooring and very large rooms. I will say that the walls are thinner so you can hear a bit of your neighbors on the side or above/below you. The process of filling out the application, making the deposit, and signing the lease was a bit of a headache... but in the end, Audrey was a true professional and made everything work. We are very happy with the location since it is close to the highway and there as tons of places to eat and shop. The water pressure in the showers can be a bit stronger but overall its great!

"The response to my request for plumbing issues was handled expeditiously and professionally by James. As I requested when I made the appointment for maintenance services, James called prior to coming over, and I couldn't imagine anyone completing the work in my bathroom and kitchen with more skill and efficiency. He knew exactly where the leaks were, proceeded to remove and clean the pipes, make the necessary repairs, and put everything back together. He continued to run water through just to be sure everything was in good working order. Truly a professional. You are very lucky to have him, and well as our Management Team who responds to all calls and concerns immediately."

I transfered from another Aimco property, and it was seemless. Everyone in the office is terrific and so pleasant. The maintenence staff is very professional and knowledgeable. I hope to enjoy my new home for a long time.

So far so good. Just moved in. They made that process easy and painless. Not incredibly impressed with the routine maintenance issues. Time to resolve an emergency issue was fine, but the other issues are yet to be acknowledged. Office staff is fantastic.

I rented at Farmingdale sight unseen after dealing with Audrey on the phone. I have to admit when I got here, I was more than pleasantly surprised at the overall caring and attention the Farmingdale staff -from Audrey and Kelsey in the front office to James, Hasson and Melvin in service. The attitude is we can do and the residence matter. I would recommend Farmingdale to anyone who wants a well cared for facility and a staff who really cares.
