Beware that you will probably not get your full deposit back. They love to "clean" the carpets before you move in. The problem is the stains are not visible until a few weeks later. By then you have already signed the paperwork saying carpets were just fine. Then when you leave they charge you for the carpet cleaning, and the process repeats. I can almost understand this from a newer community. But Cypress Lake is aging at this point. All of the wiring is ancient, to include cabling inside walls. Whenever you ask a question of the staff, in regards to lease, maintenance, or wiring you will get a different answer every time. There are so many new apartments in Mandeville and Covington now, there is absolutely no reason to decide to live here. I cannot comment on the current fire, as I do not know the cause, but I do think it is time for Tonti to just demo these and build new ones.

From a renters perspective, first impressions are very important when it comes to searching for a new place to call home. I've never lived in an apartment community before so I had no clue what to expect. I toured several communities in the Mandeville/Covington area before making my decision to call Cypress Lake my new home. I toured the community by myself the first time but brought my siblings with me the second time before making my final decision. I wanted their opinion but also wanted to make sure I wasn't jumping into something with my eyes closed. The grounds looked amazing each time we visited and the office staff has good ole southern hospitality. They offered me a really good special which is definitely helping my pocket book right here around the holidays. I'm excited for my move in after the first of the year.

I couldn't have made a better decision when choosing my home. I love this community and the people. It has been such an easy transition for me. I cannot say enough about how welcoming the staff and even my neighbors were when we moved in. My dog seems to be happy with the place too!

I had a great experience with this community, and I would recommend it for anyone looking. It was always kept clean, and they fixed any problems immediately. The ladies in the office always seemed very nice, and my neighbors were extremely considerate for apartment living. I had no complaints.

Cypress Lake Apartments is a GREAT place to call home! My family moved to Cypress Lake in 2016. We needed an apartment close to the causeway bridge for my daily commute back and forth to work. The community had beautiful landscaping, clean grounds and affordable two bedroom apartments. I had nothing bad to say then or now! Heck, I even made $600.00 for referring two of my co-workers shortly after we moved in. The managers have always been very friendly and definitely go above and beyond. I consistently saw them in the leasing office before and after office hours almost daily. The staff was always on top of things when we had any flood warnings in the area or hurricane "scares". We were sent updated emails, prep letters to the apartment door and notices on where to pick up sandbags if needed. They were outside in the rain maintaining gutters and parking lots to ensure our safety. Their groundskeeper was super laid back and always kept the community picked up and looking top notch. The maintenance guys were always on top of my work orders, even when my son decided to flush one of his action figures! :/ Honestly, the commute to New Orleans each day was worth it and I would do it all over again if I hadn't been relocated even further. My children made many friendships throughout our years here and for that I am thankful. We always loved the resident events but the one last summer was my favorite! They hired 'Just Chillin' to come out and serve unlimited snowballs and ice cream, a huge blowup obstacle course for the kids and provided plenty of food and great items for raffle. Cypress Lake is one of the oldest apartment communities in Mandeville and when we moved a few weeks back, they only had three apartments vacant....they must be doing something right!!

Great community and nice people! There is so much to do here like swimming and grilling (even a gym if you like working out). My friends love to visit. One of them has already made plans to move here when their lease is up.

This has been the perfect place for my family. We have lived here for about 2 years now and will be here until we decide to purchase a house someday. I don't get much time to visit the office, but I can say that they have always been very cheerful when I call with a question. We even had a nice surprise on our door for Valentine's Day. I have lived at quite a few different apartments in my years and never had them deliver treats and a card for any holiday. That was very thoughtful.

I love this community. Clean grounds and well maintained apartments. You can't beat the prices and the staff is awesome. I just moved in but so far so good. I'm close to the causeway so access back and forth to New Orleans is quick and easy.

600 sq. ft. is all we needed when moving to Mandeville four years ago. As my family continued to grow, the office staff was awesome with getting us into an apartment that better suited our needs. We love calling Cypress Lake home! The apartments are very affordable and the community is well maintained. A+ in my book.

Beautiful community!! Very quiet and clean!:) Perfect sized one bedroom apartment for me and my puppy, Cody! And the location can't be beat...less than five minutes from the Causeway Bridges! My experience has been nothing short of amazing.

These apartments and the community itself were very well kept. The landscaping was my favorite and there was plenty of grass, which is very important to me. My son would have lots of space to run and play in the evenings. Definitely on the top of my list!

My experience here has been nothing short of amazing. When I first stopped in to look at the apartments before making the move, everyone in the office made me feel very welcome. I didn't even look anywhere else after that. Since I have moved in, every maintenance request I have called in has been completed promptly and they are still just as friendly as day one. What is even better is that I really like all my neighbors too. The kids love the pool and I love that it always stays clean and blue unlike the last place I lived. It seems as though they stay on top of things here. Great place

Great Safe Property!! This IS a great property. Clean, safe and well maintained! Excellent!!! Professional Staff. In addition to a FAST and EFFICIENT Maintenance team. Amenities are many including; Hot Tub, Pool, Workout Room, Business Area ( including, Coffee, Computer Access and a Book Swap!! But don't take my word for it!!! Come on out and see the Property!!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!!! Dr. Gras ( A long term resident ) Cypress Lake is also located close to everything you need from; banking, groceries ( Fresh Market and Whole Foods ), coffee, pizza etc!!! :)

The absolute worse apartments ive ever lived in. They are theives at best!!!!!! Outdated poorly managed. Theyre trying to steal my deposit for a small fray which was caused by their poor installation of carpet. INFESTED WITH MEXICAN COCKROACHES. DISGUSTING PLACE TO LIVE. DO NOT MOVE HERE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. All of the tenants are junkies and perverts. My girl couldnt walk outside without getting whistled at by some creep.

Worst apartment I've lived in. Overpriced, extremely noisy, old apartments that they put in somewhat updated appliances to make the apartment look more modern. Guess what, doesn't work. The noise is unbelievable, parking sucks, and hope it doesn't rain because the parking lot floods. Horrible place to rent. Can't wait for my lease to end so I can get the hell out of this place. Don't complain about the noise because nothing gets done about it by so called management but God forbid if you're late with the rent. Then management cares. Poorly managed. As I sit here and type this review, the noise coming from the apartment above mine is unbelievable. You pay too much money for an apartment that's maybe worth half of what they charge for rent, deal with noise, and deal with flooding parking lots. On a scale if 1 to 10, I'd rate it a -8. Avoid this place at all costs and you won't be sorry. Take a ride around the complex and see how many apartments are vacant. Gotta be a reason why so trust me, its all about the money and to hell with the tenants. You pay on time you're a great tenant, ask management for help, and you get no cooperation. February can't get here fast enough for me trust me. Avoid this place and rent elsewhere.

I just recently toured and applied at Cypress Lake Apartments. The community was very well taken care of and the staff was very helpful with the information pertaining to the application process. The amenities are great, especially the dog park! The rates were very reasonable and the move-in special really helped me since I'm just starting out on my own. The surrounding communities wanted an arm and a leg for their up front fees, rent and pet costs!! I really liked how I met the whole staff on my tour, even the grounds keeper! It's really nice to know who will be taking care of you during your stay. I'm really excited to make Cypress Lake my new home! :)

Quiet community with so many great amenities and excellent staff!! I love that the fitness room is open 24 hours and there is even a dog park for my puppy to enjoy. The swimming pool always looks so pretty and my daughter loves to play in the courtyard while we're grilling at the pavilion. Perfect place to call home!

Living at Cypress Lake is really nice. It has great amenities that I enjoy using on a daily bases. It is a very nice and quite community. The staff is quick to resolve any issues. Everyone is friendly. This is just a great place to live. If you are looking for a place to live in Mandeville this is a great place to live!
