I love my apartment so much. Maintence is great! The neighborhood is amazing to raise children. However, I cannot stand to deal with the distasteful new management company; Village Green. They are so unprofessional and rude. The only person with respect is someone who came from the old management company, home properties. I hate to have to move out of my apartment but I refuse to pay rent to a company who doesn't even respect their tenants.

I have been living here for over a year now and have just renewed my lease. The apartments are nice and thy are in a very good area. No crime as long as I've been here. Occasional issues with insects which has been taken care of my maintenance. The staff are helpful, though maintenance requests do take time to process. Property ownership went from Home Properties to Village Green. I've had numerous issues with a leak in the window during hard rainstorms. The appliances work well and haven't had any issues aside from the dryer sometimes taking longer to try, I have been told this is an issue with some of the all-in-one machines. Aside from some issues with noise at all hours of the day and night from problem neighbors and trash being left in the halls, the apartments are nice.

I love my apartment, neighbors, and the general area of the apartment location. But I will never rent here again because of the property management. They are unprofessional and rude each and every time I have an encounter with them. Village Greens have taken over as property management from Home Properties and I can guarantee they will have MANY current residents not re-signing their lease due to the distasteful manner in which they handle the people who live here. DO NOT RENT HERE!

Fox hall apartments are very well maintained with cooperative staff who are friendly and professional. The staff make extra efforts to provide community based activities for the residents. Foxhall apartment complex is a good place to live in the northeastern section of Baltimore county.

I have really enjoyed living at Fox Hall Apartments. My apartment is spacious, attractive, and very comfortable. On the few occasions when I have had a maintenance issue, it has been resolved within 24 hours, usually much sooner. The appliances and climate control work very well. The staff is friendly, competent, and eager to help. My neighbors are very pleasant and friendly, and my building is queiet. I believe it is a great place to live, and I am very pleased that I live her. Maureen Dever

Do NOT live here!!!!!!! There is a severe mouse problem!!! I caught 12 mice over a year period and they gave me $33 to compensate for my hardship. They said I should be thankful because most people get nothing!! Management is also impossible to get in touch with! I called for three weeks multiple times to then be told I would get $33. Also, there was mold growing on my bathroom ceiling 3 times and they came out to "fix" the leak multiple times but clearly never did it correctly! Take your money to a nicer place that values their customers!!

Nice interior apartments, however, the front door to each complex does not lock, and you do not get washers or dryers inside your apartment. And if you want to use the ones the apartment complex provides, it's $1.50 per load. It's nice if you don't mind traveling to do laundry, don't have any children, and can afford to pay a mortgage payment for an apartment that does not provide anything besides shelter.

I needed a WC accessible apartment. Everyone at fox hall worked hard and made that happen. Having a 12 year old in a WC was never something I expected but living at fox hall has made that much easier to deal with!

Location is just right; half way between the city and work. Maintenance staff does a great job responding to routine and emergency calls. Too bad gas and water utilities are shared among residence NOT determined by individual use.

Fox Hall was great from the day I applied to the day I moved in and post move in. The staff is always friendly and they actually cater to your needs. The application process was fast. I got approved on the spot, then took the deposit within a couple days and actually moved in 4 days before the move in date I chose. Everything I wrote down on the inspection sheet was fixed the same week and Even things got replaced. 24/hour maintenance and so many options to pay your rent without being gagged.

My infant son and I love staying here at Fox Hall I picked the basement apartment because I didn't want his running about to bother the residents below me. We have outgrown the 1 bedroom and I am looking forward to moving into a 2 bedroom at the end of my lease! I have not had any problems with rodents, or roaches. I am very pleased with the location, pool, gym and computer room. Fox Hall is a wonderful place to call home!

The place is ok. Not the best, not the worst. The kids take over the pool in the summer and it's difficult to just relax or get any pool time. I thought it was a community pool, not the kids pool. My building is quiet most of the time. Just outside noise, kids yellow, people blowing their horns, loud vehicles. Cyber Cafe is a joke and it's not open to the community after leasing office hours.

I have been a resident of Fox Hall since May 2014. When I 1st walked into our leasing center/ clubroom, I knew this was where I would be calling home. Monique was icing on the cake!! She's very knowledgable, polite and down to earth, actually....the entire office staff is! They make you feel at home and not as if you are a renter . Fox Hall is a clean, well kept community with plenty of amenities! You get the most bang for your buck here! The buildings are always clean, the management team is always working on a project to keep our apartment homes looking nice....from re-painting our patios to re-striping our parking lots. The kids in community are respectful and seem to play together well. The management team really works hard at keeping the residents happy and have very cool events for the residents. ..especially in June! I am completely impressed with Fox Hall!!! With the amenities, beautiful apartment features, location and great staff, Fox Hall will certainly be my home until I am ready to buy.

Although everything looked clean when moving in here. I quickly discovered that the ventilation system was horribly dirty and full of dust and the cables for cable ad internet were cut. I couldn't have cable and internet for weeks when I was told every apartment was already ready to receive cable. This was very dissapointing and I was shocked to see the ventilation systems so grossly clogged when trying to fix the cables.

I am moving out of Fox Hall into a home I just purchased and I must say that Fox Hall was so horrible that it inspired me to look into purchasing a home. The inconsiderate neighbors make Fox Hall unbearable. Also the utility bills are absolutely ridiculous and so is the unannounced entry into the apartments. This was my second time living in Fox Hall and the first experience was actually pretty good but the second time around was pretty bad. The one word that comes to mind when thinking about some of the neighbors is "ANIMALS"! I regularly saw trash in the hallways during the weekends and I felt bad for the cleaning staff that had to clean up after adults (not children). What really annoyed me was that the trash would be piled up outside the dumpsters??? Is it really that difficult to throw the trash in the dumpster or find another one close by that isn't full? I regularly saw food and dirty diapers on the ground outside the dumpsters. The poor cleaning staff cleaned that up as well. The worse situation we dealt with was a neighbor below us that constantly smoked weed. Because of the poor construction of the building the weed fumes would drift right up into the living room, kitchen and bathroom. For almost 6 months I could not enjoy those rooms. I locked myself and the kids in the bedrooms until the weed smell cleared out. I tried candles, plugins, open windows, and nothing worked. I also called the county police several times and they pretty much would show up and then leave without any investigations. I figured this was a regular occurrence at Fox Hall so they would rather not waste their time. The staff also was not able to do much after emails, calls, visits, etc. and then the neighbor finally moved out! The YES energy bills were crazy. Why would the heat, trash and water bill in an apartment be more than what I pay for a whole house with more than double the square feet of the apartment??? Something is not right with those bills. Some were as high as $260 a month for a small apartment. Lastly, maintenance would enter the apartment with little notice and sometimes with no notice. It was pretty horrible and most of the time I was not home. My kids and wife would be home. Or my older son would be home alone. We had an alarm system installed and once it went off when they entered the apartment with absolutely no notice at all! I would not recommend Fox Hall but if it is a means to an end then by all means move in! The low rent helped us save up a down payment for a house and it also helped me raise my credit score several dozen points. If you can stand the craziness for a year or two then it's worth it to leave and move into a better place, God willing, for years to come. Goodbye Fox Hall!

Moved in March 2013 and it's been hell since. Constant mouse problem. Must call them once a month about it for a copied (to death) notice be left on the counter that the exterminator was here and some stickie traps to catch the mice! So...what did the exterminator do? We'll never know. Now have reported two cases of mold in my apartment. Both times were of the same condition with the AC system. One might think to send a professional to handle it...NOPE!! Maintenance literally fastened a stretched hanger to the unit to secure it in place. The YESEnergy bill during the winter months is the real problem. When you move in, they tell you that heat, water and sewage is paid for through YES Energy for a low nominal fee. While I know that heating costs were crazy because of the weather this past winter, my heating bill should not be $225. I live alone and am hardly in the apartment because of my job. Often the heat wasn't even turned on. But because of the square feet of my place, I was charge a number per the square footage, NOT ACTUALLY HOW MUCH HEAT I USED! Laundry rooms are a joke. One washer and dryer per floor and it's not even a commerical washer and dryer. The dryer is always breaking or always blowing a fuse. To pay/put money on laundry card, one must go to the leasing office...why don't they have the machine by the appliances? There is dog crap everywhere and while I don't fault the dog...I do fault the owner...but I really fault the property for not doing anything about it. Property manager is a waste of time. For months, I've emailed her regarding conditions and I get lip service. However let me be a day or two late with rent and there is a "Failure to Pay Rent" Complaint, filed with District Court, tacked on the community events board on the building. I implore you...I entreat you...DO NOT LIVE HERE! I'm presently trying to get out!

Fair Housing problems at best. Horrible place to live. Started moving in tenants that jump on women in small spced laundry room. Major safety concerns. Manager does nothing. One resident in particular in this building fights his wife weekly, smokes weed daily, continues to harass people of colour and religious, not on his wife's lease and Manager does nothing. He stalks people in the building with a camera watching everyone coming and going and then he comes out of the apartment and harassed people with ---- you or ------- or ----- out the side of his mouth. Manager does nothing when you complain in writing at least 12 times. Sometimes with the things going on here and its between different religious and colours of ski the Manager gives you the impression that white is always right. The other ladies in the front office and the gentleman there are down to earth with myself and family members. We have dealt with a bad mouse and rat problem since day one of moving here. They even got in our bed and on the dining room table. Nasty huh? But the issue s of Fair Housing and Safety need to be addressed sooner than later. Beware of the Sita/Yes Energy bill. You're not told about that even upon signing your lease. Now they charge a trash bill but can't control the contractors that are dumping here. Sad. I do not recommend anyone moving here. It went completely downhill. Remember there are always 2 sides of a story and everyone can't be wrong. Shame on you Fox Hall. That's why John and his girlfriend moved. We've got a neighbor from helll thst moved in and you just want to collect that money. You care nothing about your decent tenants. Putting up with mice continuously, I worked with you, the constant bullying legally disabled people and women of different colour and religions, I won't put up with. Thank you but no thank you. Sound decision making, not quite there. Its like if your not white stay in your place; I dont want to hear it. Well, my money is green just like everyone else's and families have rights.

I lived in a "terrace level" apartment from 2009-2012. I have lived in many apartment complexes, and while none are perfect (and I don't expect them to be), this was by far the worst. The biggest pro is that the apartment was a nice size with ample closet space. They also added recycle bins while I was there. Here is a list of the biggest problems I faced: 1. Before I moved in I was told the heat/water bill would average $40-$90. It was as low as $40 in the summer, but in the winter it went as high as ~$190. You don't have your own bill. They have one large bill that is divided among the community. 2. They turn the heat off on April 15th. There are often days in April/May when the high may only reach the 50's (or sometimes lower). I called to ask that they turn it back on once on a particularly chilly day and the office staff member actually had the audacity to tell me that it is illegal to have the heat on after April 15th. I'm not sure which is more offensive, the lying or the assumption that I would be stupid enough to believe it. 3. They turn the water off for extended periods of time for repair at least once a month, and with very little notice. 4. A pipe broke in my utility closet at the end of May, and water was pumping into my apartment with the force of 60psi from the boiler (this figure is what I was told by maintenance). It flooded my kitchen, dining area, and living room. It took almost an hour for maintenance to show up and turn off the water. I actually saw the maintenance guy sitting in his truck in the parking lot for several minutes before he casually ambled up to my quickly flooding apartment to unlock the utility closet (we cannot enter them ourselves) and turn off the water. They then had to pull up the carpet and place several large dehumidifiers in my apartment. It was incredibly loud, there was no A/C, and with the heat generated by the running dehumidifiers, my apartment was approximately 100 degrees. They gave me a small portable A/C to place in my bedroom. It managed to keep the temperature in there in the low 80's. This continued for four days. The lease clearly states that if a part of the apartment is not habitable then rent will be prorated based on the percentage that was not habitable. I called multiple times to ask what my rent should be for that month, but no one returned my call, so I estimated it myself. I included a note with my rent check detailing my calculations. No one said anything, but when I moved out they actually tried to deduct that amount from the return of my security deposit. 5. The temperature regulation for the water is terrible. The water in the shower and the sinks would alternate between freezing cold and scalding hot without me touching the temperature controls. There were multiple times that I had to immediately jump out of the shower because I was being burned. Just imagine this happening to a child or someone who is elderly or disabled and can't move quickly. I called to request this be fixed, and they sent a guy out to change all the faucets - which was obviously not the problem at all. So this problem was never fixed. And he made a mess of my tub and bathroom. There was caulk everywhere, as well as dirt and miscellaneous pieces of trash. 6. The bottom element in my oven never worked. I asked to have this fixed three times. They came three times, and never actually fixed it. 7. The heat stopped working multiple times in the middle of winter. 8. The dishwasher came unattached from the counter, due to the rotting underside of the counter. 9. They once gave me a rude letter stating that I had an unreported pet and was not paying pet rent, when in fact I told them I had the pet when I moved in and I had paid pet rent every single month. 10. Raw sewage bubbled up from my toilet and my bathtub, flooding my bathroom and ruining the hall carpet, along with several of my towels, which I had put down in my failed attempt to keep it from escaping the bathroom. Needless to say, it was disgusting and my apartment smelled rather foul. 11. The soundproofing was so terrible that I could actually hear the neighbors above me using the bathroom. When their dog (who was small, and actually quite sweet) ran down the hall, it sounded like someone was bowling above me. I could hear my neighbors on all sides yelling and cursing at each other frequently. 12. Children were running free in the parking lot with no supervision. I almost hit a child with my car who darted out in front of me from between two large parked cars without looking. Another time, my cat was sitting on the window ledge inside my apartment and a child shot a water gun at her. 13. Mice. Lots and lots of them. Spiders and spider crickets. Lots and lots of them. Ants. Lots and lots of them. And just so you know, I kept my apartment clean. No food sitting out, etc. 14. It costs $2.50 to wash and dry one load of laundry. There are 2 washers and dryers for 12 apartments. One of the washing machines was once broken for a month, leaving 1 washer and dryer for 12 apartments. They have a machine that you use to put money on a card for the washers and dryers. There is only one machine in the whole complex, and it broke multiple times. One time it was broken for about three weeks. So no one was able to do laundry unless they already had a lot of money on their card. 15. Some members of the office staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. One time when I was on the phone with a manager, I actually had to stop her in the middle of a rant (which initiated after she interrupted me and started talking over me) and point out that she was being condescending and rude. 16. I saw police cars in the parking lot multiple times, and heard people yelling, cursing, and threatening each other in the parking lot. 17. My rent went up ~$100 in 3 years, which I found excessive, especially considering that it wasn't low to begin with.

I do not live on this property however, i was strongly considering applying to do so as it is convenient to both work and school. Upon calling to inquire about availability, i was immediately told that i must income qualify and given specifics surrounding the criteria for income qualification. I found this to be extremely offensive and cant help but to feel as though that info was shared based on the sound of my voice and a certain demographic may have been assumed because of the way i sounded. Oddly enough, i more than income qualify but will not be applying because of the way the phone call went. had i been given the opportunity to gather more info from the representative/consultant, i may have been less offended by her eagerness to share this info with me. in the future, it may be a good idea NOT to profile someone based on the sound of their voice as it is HIGHLY offensive. i am terribly dissappointed.

I am moving out a in a few weeks, and I thought i'd post a move out review. I never thought highly of the community or had any great expectations, but I've been disgusted as of late. Something that has been a constant annoyance, is the lack of consideration when it comes to the utilization of the limited laundry facilities. There are a few neighbors (one in particular) that pretty much use the laundry facilities as if they're the sole resident in the building. Example: I came home Saturday and attempted to wash clothes. I noticed the washer and dryer had clothes in them. I tried again on Sunday morning and the same towels were still in the dryer. Don't even attempt to wash if there's clothes in the dryer because your clothes will be finished washing and the inconsiderate numb sculls will still have their clothes in the dryer; causing you to wait around to finish your wash. This is not a one time thing, but something that has been going on for months. We are limited to 2 washers and dryers for 12 apartments! People really need to have some consideration. Honestly it isn't the office staff or apartments themselves that made me unhappy, it's the neighbors and the lack of class. The careless neighbors that don't pick up after their dogs is another disgusting factor about this community. Let me not forget the annoying children. Where are their parents? Another thing that annoys me, is the constant need for maintenance or contractors to enter my home; especially when we're given limited notice. I will be relieved to never have to see another ISTA/YES bill again. What a rip off! GOODBYE FOXHALL!!!!

I lived at Fox Hall Apartments for 2 years and I haven t been happier. I read some comments here from some people who lives here and I was shocked by the things they said about the community. I have an issue with my AC at some point (who doesn t - things happen) and it was taking care off immediately. The maintenance crew and leasing staff are very professional and friendly. They make it very pleasant to live here. They always do community activities and special events for their residents. They keep on upgrading the community to make it more enjoyable for us. I definitely recommend this place for a friend.
