I've been living here for 5 months now and I can honestly say it's one of the best places I have lived at. My experience has been nothing but positive. The management was very personable when I was seeking to move into a new apartment. Jessie and Leonardo were very helpful in making sure my move-in process was smooth and also followed up after I moved in. To date, I LOVE the space I am in and I am glad I chose to lease here. It is unfortunate because many people who are looking to lease somewhere will go on the internet and look at reviews only to find negative ones. Tbh, I've not seen an apartment complex that had mostly good reviews ANYWHERE. Tenants ONLY comment when things go wrong (which I'm sure their experiences are valid), but that doesn't outweigh the GOOD experiences others are having. Clean place, convenient location, quiet, secure, modern living ?

My experience with the office staff are not good . They are not helpful and most of the time office closed . The team at office are rude . The manager is never there. There is only one person working.

The George has changed DRAMATICALLY since we’ve had new owners both in good and bad. The building I notice is more decorated and quite organized. Although we LOVED all of our previous mgmt, SUPER approachable. New team is more standoff, barely will say hi. Greystar team and Paige from Van Metre were so sweet and would hold convos all the time w/current residents. We miss them so much it’s sickening.There is also a pest control issue that is super ANNOYING. The hallways and elevators reak- we need more than 1 person cleaning the entire complex. I will give credit to new mgmt in being responsive whenever they are actually here. 2 years ago it was home, now it’s just the fact that the location is very convenient for our commute.

Very nice, clean community living space. Friendly staff and very affordable, modern units. The building is perfectly situated in the city and has a beautiful view. Finding affordable, modern and clean apartments can be a challenge, but the George has been a great experience for me. I love living here!

The process of leasing and moving in took a bit longer than it should've. If it wasn't for the great price of the unit, I would have moved on to some of the other apartment places that I was getting more traction with. Also, I thought it was weird and a bit frustrating honestly that they couldn't provided measurements of the unit even after inquiring. Nonetheless, all the staff I've worked with so far has seemed helpful. I haven't even been a resident for a week so I can't say much about the unit/community yet.

I have only been here about a week now, but my experience has been good thus far. The Leasing Consultant has been very helpful and responsive. The apartment is conveniently located near the metro, Safeway, diverse restaurant and convenience stores.

Love the building! The new management has made changes that I do not care for. Downsized the pool table in the community area for no apparent reason, and removed the pool balls. I believe many of the changes to be due to the pandemic but others just seem to be questionable.

The George is a pretty decent community. The rent amount feels appropriate given the surrounding neighborhood and other buildings within a 5 mile radius but the way that this building is managed by onsite leasing managers is less than acceptable. They're very careless in their approach with current residents. It's almost like they're unapproachable at times. I love the maintenance team ? they're super responsive and very friendly. The lack of investment in our community is clear and that's why certain residents also treat our common spaces the way that they do. It's sad to see.

The community is quiet and I enjoy the "city" like environment. I don't have children but the area is perfect for young singles. There is much to do and enjoy in the community. I have enjoyed it so far.

I would not recommend living here. The quality of the complex has gone down. The leasing office has slacked off on caring about things like packages and events. The elevators smell like dog pee and there are complaints of roaches. I'm leaving as soon as my lease is up.

I really love the building, the amenities are awesome, and I like my neighbors. The George is in a good location, the mall and grocery store is located across the street, so that's a bonus. If my packages were placed in the package concierge instead of left out in the lobby that would be great, and if the leasing staff was more friendly I would renew.

Overall, the apartment is very clean! Gym is also nice, and metro station is very close. Maintenance people are also very kind and helpful. But the view is not good as the building overlooks parking garage and another apartment. Also, there is a weird sound around our apt that is continuously repeated from early morning (8am) to late night (1am). Staffs sometimes ignore my email.

This apt community is an absolute gem. Nestled between Washington/Silver Spring to the south and Bethesda/Rockville to the north, it offers easy access to any kind if dining and/or entertainment experience you could possibly ask for. The maintenance staff is INCREDIBLE, always prompt, efficient, and fixing things the FIRST time. I shopped around before I moved here two years ago. Ive been here now two years, and will be renewing my lease here, soon. Im glad I found this place.

The George is a great place to live. Location can't be beat next to the Wheaton Metro. Apartment homes are beautiful and quite. Maintenence and office staff have been great, and the resident portal allows for automatic rent payments and an easy way to process requests.

This is a great place to live. its conveniently located and has all the amenities I need. I have lived here for over 5 years and had very few issue that were always promptly addressed. My neighbors have always been nice.

Positive experience about everything, except for people constantly smoking marijuana and, therefore, having a heavy smoke in the hallways quite often. I think the management is not finding the right way to prevent the use of marijuana.

Regular apartment building with convenient metro location and good amenities, however, if you're looking for security with deliveries look somewhere else. Since new management took over, I've had 5 delivered packages stolen so far and after inquiring with management, the response was "there's an amazon locker at the grocery store next door". Don't be fooled by the Package Concierge lockers in the building. If the Package Concierge lockers are full your deliveries will be left in the lobby for anyone to steal. Since there's no security in the building, anyone who is granted entry is free to come in and take any package they feel like. Some deliveries are left in a separate room with residents access only but those packages are also subject to theft because some residents will pick up packages that aren't theirs. And that's why I've stopped getting my deliveries shipped at The George. This is a word of advice so track your deliveries very carefully before you end up seeing them advertised for sale online.

If you want to live close to the metro, this is an ideal place. Its conveniently located close to the Safeway. Parking prices are high though, and some apartment homes do not have a bathtub. It can also be quiet noisy because of Georgia Ave, but all in all, it's an ok place to live.

The staff is nice. However, my move in process wasn't the best. When I arrived around noon on my move in day, none of my keys were made. Also, they didn't tell me until 3 days before my move in that I had to call Pepco to turn on my lights myself. It's a nice place but I wish the staff would be better communicators.

Management companies switched from the time I started here. The new agency seems to be a lot better. Improvements have been made to the property such as the turf dog bathroom area next to the building as well as the ramp. Also a nice coffee machine was placed in the lobby. A security guard is also now on duty at night which is very nice. I wish rent was a little less, but it is a nice area.

It's been great Since 2017 until the new leasing company, van metre took over a couple of months ago. I was accused of not paying rent and was sent a summons for court even though they have proof of payment. Have had issues with maintenance as well.

The building is close to the train, which is very convenient. However, for only being 4-5 years old, the building has not been well maintained. The carpets in all of the hallways are stained and smell awful. Hallways reek of weed/cooking smells. The layouts of some of the units is awkward and not helpful when trying to place furniture. The price is decent for what you get, but the amenities are not what I am accustomed to when living in a "luxury" building. There is no concierge, no luggage carts to help when moving or bringing in groceries/packages. Its a basic apartment that is conveniently located near the metro. You can get far more amenities for similar rent downtown Silver Spring and live in a new well maintained building.
