The apartment building itself is very nice and kept up well. Management tries to have community events regularly which is nice. The new management is much better than the old but I haven't had too many interactions with them yet. Parking can be annoying but management has started making better efforts to fix that.

Very nice, cool people live here. I don't understand why I need to write a minimum of 200 characters here. I like the gym. Could use heavier weights and a real bar/squat rack. Maybe some calf machines as well.

I have had an good experience. The management here are available to meet with you, they are concerned about your living experience here and the team have great community events. They keep us up-to-date on activies and events in the DMV area.

It’s been fine. New management has an issue reading us as residents because they usually attempt to hold conversations at the most inopportune times. I feel that my experience was a little better before management changed.

DO NOT LEASE HERE!!! This apartment complex has gone down drastically. There has been a major drug bust and domestic violence assaults. I have been harassed by a tenant and have reported him as well as other tenants who have experienced his drunkenness and belligerent tirades but management at Greystar has done absolutely nothing to resolve this threat. Do not move here for your own safety and piece of mind. I'm moving out! Signed, Full Rent Paying Tenant

The community has treated me well and I enjoy its accessibility to public transportation and stores and restaurants. I am hopeful that this continues to get better. I have enjoyed the events that the property office plans for residents and the calendar of events being posted in the elevators. The building is kept extremely clean almost all of the time. Thanks.

My experience would have been great if not for the issue of noise generated by the compactor in the trash room that has given me an extremely tough time to go to sleep most nights of my one year residency.

The George is a great apartment complex. It's been our home for three years, and we keep enjoying its friendly and helpful staff, modern and stylish interior design, clean and tidy common areas, beautiful view from the roof, as well as convenient proximity to the metro and the mall. With the new management, it's become even better! Highly recommend!

My experience has been quite enjoyable thus far. With the change over in management, I do feel some of the nicer touches like the later office hours, and the ambiance in the main entrance have changed. However, I enjoy living in the community and would recommend it.

The apartment community has been awesome! The units are finished nicely, I hardly hear my neighbors and the grounds are kept extremely clean. My only complaint is visitor parking! It does not exist near the building. But I love my apartment community!

I have only been add to my respective community for less than a week so I don’t believe that I can adequately describe my experience at my community at this time. I’m sure that once I have an occupied the unit and have become familiar with the community I can better address this question.

Ms. Laurie Jackson (Property Manager) is great. I have lived here since the ending of 2016 and the place has been welcoming and inviting. The building holds lots of great afternoon events for residences such as wine down thursdays and a super bowl party this past January. I had an issue with billing and Laurie took care of the issue. Great place to be, nicely maintained and clean.

I am a new resident. After searching for many months for a nice place to live in the DC area I choose The George. I was immediately drawn to the incredible hospitality I received when I walked in the door and was met by Ms. Laurie Jackson (property manager). Laurie immediately made me feel at home, welcoming me to the residence with a warm smile. Her professionalism, knowledge and incredible ability to understand my needs for residential living made my search so much easier. I was sold at that point. She checks in to see how I'm making out - even after living there now for over at month. It's home, and Laurie reminds me of that everyday. I'm sure that The George will remain the friendly, clean and safe place under her leadership. Continued success! "A Very Satisfied Resident"

I agree with the below comments, Laurie has been a wonderful manager and is very helpful. She goes over and beyond when it comes to assisting us at the George. Derek and Lupe are also very helpful. I'm pleased with the new staff. I just renewed my lease and looking forward to another great year. Keep up the work everyone, you are doing a great job!

The George Apts are discreet luxury living in the most convenient location in Wheaton. The property manager, Laurie, is the best. She is always extremely helpful and makes every resident feel welcome and the maintenance staff are always prompt and resourceful.

We have been living at The George for over two years now. As most buildings, we also went thorough some management changing and it just got better and better every time. The George has always made us feel home and Laurie is the main reason why we have so much fun and feel safe here. Thank you Laurie, and the rest of your team (Lupe, Derrick, and the nice ladies that always greet me early in the morning while making sure our lobby and hallways are spotless). Thank you all for such a great job in making The George out home.

I'm not even a resident and I'm frustrated already. I've been trying to get on to the leasing office and it's constantly going to voicemail. The application site is outdated, and when I did finally get on to someone, they told me to disregard what I read, and fill it out anyway. What I read, was that in addition to a $25 application fee, $500 would also be taken out in "good faith." Uh, kinda hard to disregard. Even in trying to take her advice, they payment section wasn't running! Imagine all of this, and no one to address it to?! Left messages, even with their off-site nothing has been returned. If this is what service is like to a potential resident, I can't imagine what it would be living there. Too bad, the building itself is beautiful.

The apartment was fine when I initially moved in. Rhonda, Serita and Char were excellent, prompt and resolved matters quickly. They had lots of events for residents and things like that. As time went on however things went downhill fast. I moved out of this place 10/10. I still have not received my deposit despite both Maryland law and my lease stating 45 days. I left when Jessica/Jesse was still the manager. She didn't respond to my emails about my vacancy nor was she available to answer any questions I had regarding the move. I had to send a pretty mean email just to get a response after waiting days to hear anything from her. 90 % of the time no one was even in the office. No email or notice telling residents when management would be out so that we can plan accordingly. Package receipt was a bit of a mess. Competence at it's finest, truly. Laurie took over a week so after I left and didn't even know if I had moved out or returned my keys. Spoke to Tina who credited my now 60+ day wait for my deposit to 'the busy holiday season.' I've had my car towed from the surface lot (which cost an additional $100/month by the way) because of inconsiderate (maybe even illiterate) guests not reading signs that clearly state 'Residents Only'. Many occasions I've had to sit pissy and wait as long as 45 minutes in my car for a non-resident to move theirs so I can get in my spot. Pets peeing in the elevators was an issue. It didn't help that the cleaning staff used some type of vinegar or ammonia to wipe the elevators in the mornings. The apartment itself was alright. I was on the 8th floor so I did have a nice view. I moved into a unit that had never been occupied so I had higher expectations. It should be noted that the A/c in these units are LOUD. I'm talking turning the volume up on that movie you're watching by at least 5-10 just to be able to hear. In my unit specifically they had the unit in the ceiling. Not sure about the setup in others. At one point I had condensation leaking into my floors continuously despite maintenance coming to fix it. I'll also tell you the wood floors are laminate so you can imagine how that turned out. My washer and dryer had to be serviced several times due to the same error messages and the need for new parts ( I thought this unit was brand new?). Walls are pretty thin- conversations, music, thumping, furniture moving at 2am? All ears for ya'. All of that smoke free community advertisement is ludicrous. Residents smoked everywhere all the time. In front of the building, by the loading dock, you name it. Emails and threat from management did nothing to curb the problem. The best this place has to offer is the location. Close to the metro and restaurants, across the street from the mall etc. Otherwise, I would strongly consider you weight your options. There are much better places available for the money.

The George is such a great place to live! First off, the entire staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Tina, Laurie and Cameron are all knowledgeable, kind and professional people who generally like their jobs and know who you are by name when they see you in the hallway or elevator. I had some problems (on my end) with the application process so I called The George and spoke with Tina, who was very helpful. She helped resolved my issue, let me know within 30 minutes of getting my email that she received all of my documents, and then gave me a call an hour later to let me know I had been approved. She then followed-up with me a few days after that about the entire process to follow. I had some other troubles with the application to put my fiance on the lease so Laurie sat with me on the phone for over 25 minutes to resolve it. Thanks to Tina and Laurie, everything was resolved and I am now a happy resident of The George! The apartment itself is beautiful with amazing amenities and it is in an excellent location. The building was built in 2014 so you have modern appliances in the apartment. It is right above the Wheaton Metro station on the red line, right across from the Wheaton Westfield mall and even has a brand new Safeway at the corner. It is even pet friendly and has washer and dryers in-unit! I couldn't be happier with my apartment or with the location, especially for the price! They even host monthly events such as a brunches and Holiday Cocktail Hour for their residents and offer great services, such as a package concierge service. I definitely recommend The George.

This property is beautiful however because of the inadequate property manager everyone is moving out left and right. Laurie Jackson is a snob and a nasty, mean spirited old hag. Her leasing agent is so lazy that girl has absolutely no life in her and can't answer any questions ever. I miss the days of Rhonda, Serita and Char. They were polite and knew how to run the building. Laurie is worst than Jessica Hearson. Laurie talks to us the tenants like we are children, lady I'm going to do a survey and a complaint letter and send it to the regional manager asap also to corporate. All residents will sign it I'm sure just like we did about Ms Hearson. Kettler needs to do better when choosing these idiots to run their properties. We are not kids I for one will not accept anyone talking to me like I am, respect is everything. I overheard Laurie talking down to the -------- workers in the building I recorded it and I'm sending it to corporate. Also she has the maintenance supervisor like a puppy dog she whistles and he comes running it's just so demeaning. This lady is a disgrace, and that's why everyone's leaving. Rhonda come back!

Must say my stay at The George has been pretty swell. I've connected with all the staff and even with the switching of the building manager I must say the new manager Laurie Jackson has been very helpful and responsive. I haven't had any crazy mishaps, any issues I had were resolved in a timely fashion. I must say I enjoy my stay at The George and I would recommend it to anyone who asked me. Great Building!!!

I HAVE READ REVIEWS THAT CREATES A NEGATIVE PERCEPTION OF THIS PROPERTY, LET ME BE THE ONE TO SAY THAT" I LOVE IT!!!!!!"...... THE PACE OF THE BUILDING IS JUST PERFECT, MANAGEMENT AND STAFF ARE VERY RESPONSIVE AND ATTENTIVE TO YOU NEEDS AND REQUEST. NEIGHBORS ARE VERY FRIENDLY, YOU DON'T HEAR DOGS BARKING ALL NIGHT....(THANK GOD).. LOL.... IT IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF EVERYTHING YOU NEED... SO TAKE IT FROM ME, I HAVE RENEWED MY LEASE 2 TIMES AND INTEND ON A THIRD RENEWAL. SO DONT LET THOSE FEW REVIEWS DETOUR YOU FROM A GREAT LIVING EXPERIENCE.... SEE YOU SOON NEIGHBOR..

I'm going to keep it short, honest and straight to the point. The Staff here is garbage. They are inefficient and NOT helpful at all. In fact, i don't think they know what they're doing. Management team is no where to be found when you need something done. I think it's embarrassing to see how this building is managed by bunch of clowns.
