The staff here all three of them are completely unresponsive to the needs of the residents. This is a fine place to live when you first move in and they are friendly to you and treat you like royalty for apartment showings etc but beware because behind that facade is simple negligence and money hunger. The walls are paper thin in the building and you can hear people on each side of you as well as above you; the smell of marijuana can be smelled in your apartments just the same as the hallway to the point you'd think you had smoked a joint yourself. Furthermore people gather on the loading dock to smoke their ---- and drink their booze; again marijuana can be smelled all over the garage.......is this okay with property management. Random people regularly enter and exit the building so much so that they building had a new Mac computer stolen right from under their noses and had the nerve to question residents about who did what. How about you actually secure the building or have a doorman/woman to let people in and out to at least ward off sketchy hoodlums milling around the building. This place has gone to ---- since I've been here my suggestion to you is don't bother you'll regret it !!! P.S. Pissed off tenant

I like living at the George the staff is very friendly and the building is nice it's well kept. I've renewed my lease once but I may not renew again, although the building and my apartment are nice, it's just a small space and I'm looking for something bigger.

Recently moved in and have no complaints. The staff is very responsive to everything I send their way. I truly believe being courteous to them will always result in reciprocation. Community is lovely, I'm satisfied! Great location/view!

Overall I like the George a lot. It's pretty quiet, yet nice, just as I would want. The Staff is pretty nice. They may treat you a little special in the honeymoon phase (right when you move in) but even after that I can't complain, I don't see them too much anyways with a regular work schedule. Maintenance is done quickly too Mon-Fri at least and I always let them take care of it when I'm at work. For a small building, their gym is pretty decent too with free weights and bench/squat rack. Only thing I wish they had package concierge after 6 pm packages are iffy here, I've had a couple delayed packages here due to that. Most importantly though its a nice building, rooms are pretty tasteful with nice hardwood floors and those moveable islands and the kitchens not taking too much space out of my common area. and the rooftop area is pretty cool, but I don't use it as much as I thought I would moving in.

Not what it seems. Don't let the appearance deceive you. Runaway...there are so many other options in Wheaton/Silver spring. Pros: Located right next to the Wheaton metro station and across the street from Safeway grocery store. New major appliances and in-unit washer/dryer. Beautiful penthouse and balcony. Cons: Where do I begin... (1) Noise - The wall of The George are very thin. You will hear your neighbors and there's very little management will do to address the issue. You will be forced to call the police if you ever want to sleep. (2) Towing - Even though you live at The George, you can easily get your car towed for a whooping $150.00. This is on top of the $99.00 per month parking fee you also must pay. (3) Visitor Parking - This is non-existent. Management is very strict about the two "Future Resident" parking spaces. While they claim you can use the spots for visitors, they come with a list of time restrictions. (4) Management - The building manger does very little to address your concerns. She's a nice person but very ineffective. Considering you will be paying $1500 to $2000 per month, the management is severely lacking. (5) Fitness Center - The fitness center use to be open 24/7, now it has set hours. (6) Windows - The windows are very large and office-like. You can definitely see into others homes or peer into the parking garage. Window seal seems to leak when when it rains and leaves damage. (7) Packages - While the automated concierge system is nice, don't expect building management to notify you when an over sized package arrives. You will be forced to get FedEx, UPS, Amazon, etc. to help you hunt down the package and then learn that the front office has been storing for weeks without any notification. Unlike other complexes in the area, management does not put packages in your home. (8) Newspapers/Deliveries - Don't even think about getting a newspaper subscription. Delivers are not made to your door and anyone can take your newspaper. (9) Front Door Keypad - You must have a local number that begins with "301" to even take advantage of this feature. Management states that the remaining area codes have already been taken. Therefore you may be required to get a landline to buzz your friends or family into the building. (10) Walls - As stated earlier, the walls are thin but they also peel easily. Do not recommend using 3M hooks on these walls because they will ripe off the cheap paint and spackle job. Overall, this has been the worst place I have ever lived. You don't get what you are paying for and management needs to improve living experience for the residents of The George.

I have lived at The George for about a year and half and I absolutely love it! As I don't have a car, its location above the metro is more than ideal, and the spacious gym and lounge on the roof are wonderful amenities. The rooms are reasonably priced for the area and they're always offering specials for new tenants. The only downside was the loud air conditioning/heating unit in the room, but I quickly got used to the noise (it drowns out the noise from the street and has become a sort of white noise machine for me), and due to the size of the room, it's not on very often. The office staff are very friendly and helpful, and very responsive to questions. They also set up a wonderful variety of events for the residents. Washer and dryers are located in the units, and a package concierge/locker system means I don't have to worry about never getting my packages. I highly recommend The George!

I think the George provides a great, modern and affordable living option in an increasingly expensive rental market. The gym and roof top deck are great. The location couldn't provide more conveniences. You have a 24 hour market, many restaurants, a mall and the metro all within walking distance. I have lived here for about a year and have enjoyed my stay.

I'm wrapping up my second year lease, and things have severely gone downhill after the first year and Rhonda left as property manager. Packages are missing, the sanitary wipes in the gym take forever to be replaced (unsanitary), gym is not open 24/7, things in common spaces are always broken (e.g. Chairs and grill on rooftop). It also seems that good staffers (like tina and serita) keep leaving, and they replace them with temps or extremely rude people who should not be working with residents. The only good thing is that maintenance requests are completed quickly. All in all, the first year was good and worth the high cost. The second year is not worth it at all, and I'm glad I'm not renewing my lease for a third year.

I found the apartment community that I have been looking for. The atmosphere the staff, and the activities set The George apart. I love living here and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. The staff, both management and maintenance are a pleasure to deal with.

I am in the process of moving to the The George and I would like to comment on the move-in process. The George's staff is amazing, especially Ms. Serita. She is very professional and nice! There are a lot of perks for leasing with The George, from what I can tell--like the metro station next door, a parking garage and plenty of stores nearby. My tour was very informative and pleasant. The lobby is so clean, colorful and welcoming. I didn't see a lot of tenants around (which I like)...which means it should be quiet and people are busy working. The building seems secured and safe too.

I enjoyed my time (13 month lease) at The George: 1) It's in a convenient location. The mall is across the street (with a Costco and Target), 24 hour Safeway nearby, and it's next to the Wheaton Metro. There's also a lot of ethnic restaurants in Wheaton, and a library. Please go culture yourself. 2) The maintenance staff was friendly and responsive. 3) At the time I was the first person in the unit, so I had no problems with my unit. 4) The staff was great. They were friendly, professional, and responsive. I think I made friends of them, but we will let time be the test of that. 5) The building is relatively small, so there is a sense of community. I liked the people I met. Everything was as advertised. You can research the area and visit the building to see for yourself. If I could move the building and staff to my new location I would. Best of luck guys!

My experience living at the George has been very pleasant and comfortable. The community is very accommodating with easy access to public transportation, Safeway and the local shopping mall. The street side view from my apartment is always relaxing with the city lights and evening sky.

The best place we have ever lived in! Staff takes such great care of us. However, we wish we could take better advantage of the club house but it is quit expensive to reserve for 10 or more people. Other than that, we have nothing but great things to say about Rhonda, Serita, Chard, and everyone else. They sure deserve recognition. Thank you!

After I got off work one day I always see people sleeping in the lobby. The doors are open for anyone off the street to come in they make their way through building if they want. Someone made it to my door and banging on the door looking for someone who live here, it was quite frightening. They come through up the stairs or unlocked doors. It being the holiday so I'm especially on high alert for unusual activity.

This is a nice, new, relatively safe community to live in. I experienced problems with maintenance staff entering my apartment to make repairs while I and my husband were working. This is distressing to us because we have a pet and would like the opportunity to schedule repairs a little more than what seemed to be allowed. I especially didn't enjoy the mass notice that our windows were going to be cleaned so maintenance would be entering our apartments at any time during a one week period to remove the window screens. After leaving notes on my door to be careful of my cat around the windows for a week straight, It became apparent that they decided not to wash the windows above the fourth floor and I really had nothing to worry about. I just don't like the idea of strangers entering my apartment when I'm not there... call me crazy! I guess this is all part of apartment living.

I have to be honest! It's an ok place to live until the other day upon exiting the elevator walking to my apartment my neighbor was in the hallway taking a picture of roaches leaving an apartment from under the tenants door. That's a HUGE no no for me. They have a pic and so do I. For the high rent of this place there should be no critters and or insects whatsoever. I read a review on here if a tenant stating that there were roaches and management was very nasty responding that there are no such thing in the building. Well I'm here to say I have the proof and so do other people on my floor. This problem needs to be fixed ASAP before it get out of control.

The apartment building is great, very clean and modern with nice amenities. I would say having a nice and clean gym in the building is a big plus for me. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well.I would definitely recommend this company and building to anyone I know.

I just moved in 2 weeks ago and counting the days to move out. I did not make a good decision on my selection of apartments. This apartment is to small for me and don't have enough room for my stuff. I asked to change apartments the first week I was there, but was told I had to wait 6 months to transfer. I was planning on staying a couple of years, now just counting the months to move out. So, I'm not happy at the moment.

Except for the far parking garage situation, I'm very satisfied living in my APT and close to Safeway! I'm glad that I found this APT and love to renew again. The office staff and maintenance staff are very kind, smiley, and warm welcoming people.

Overall I have been very satisfied with The George. All the amenities are new and well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. It's in a great location, and with being on the 9th floor, we don't get much street noise in our apartment. Parking costs are a bit high, and the AC unit is a little loud, but on the whole, we are very pleased with our apartment.

I absolutely love living in the George apartments! I moved here in February of this year and I couldn't feel more at home! Transitioning from a different county , I was so amazed with all the amenities at the foot. I literally walk outside and the grocery store ,metro, shopping malls are all walking distances! I believe that moving here was one of the best decisions I made! The staff are amazing, welcoming, assisting, and they do there very best to help you with anything you need. Also if you do not have a car this would be a very great option to consider because everything is so close by. I love the The George all of the activities are so fun and warming, you would love living here! TEAM GEORGE!!!
