Awesome Place To Live
I just want to say that it has been delightful to live here Tuscany Woods. Unlike other apt style living this has been a breathe of fresh air and the leasing staff is the BEST! Since day one they have been professional, helpful and have gone out the way to make me a happy tenant. Also, my pet peeve is to see uninvited guests that should not be living with me i.e, mice, bugs or any rodent...but I have not had any encounters.

Stay far away
I've been a tenant since 2009 and I'm in the process of vacating the premise with joy! This place has every pest imaginable Roaches,Mice, and bedbugs!! Do not move in unless you like to waste money and live in subpar housing. I have absolutely nothing good to say about Tuscany Woods besides the fact that I am now a self proclaimed expert exterminator after the research that "I" had to do to get rid of mice!!! The bedbugs infestation however is the absolute last straw! Ive got bite marks, had to discard numerous personal belongings and so much associated drama because of this!!!! The onsite exterminators suck and the leasing staff tries but unfortunately just cant meet the mark either. If you are of a sane mind and able to afford better living conditions, do not I repeat do not consider Tuscany Woods Apartments.

awesome staff, not company
I have been living here since 2008 and I have to say that the only reason im still here is because of the staff.Any concern that Ive had has been handled with such concern that I sometimes feel like they live here too! Mrs Robinson who is the property manager is so professional. Iwould have cancelled my lease 2 yrs ago had it not been for her dedication to keeping tenants satified. I personally think that she is too good to work for a company such as peak management. I know that they dont pay her enough.

office Staff
Office staff is very rude. They play too much politics. Keeping the apartments vacant, they dont give us the apartment according to our requirements and will make us wait for longer times even we approach them very advance. they keep changing rules each and every second. no coordination among the staff, we get different answers among the staff itself.

Great Place to Live
I moved to Tuscany Woods in June and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised that the reviews were wrong. My experience has been wonderful here. I don't have a mice or bug problem. Any repairs I needed were taken care the very next day. It's quiet and peaceful. I have nice neighbors. Having a washer & dryer in my unit is very convenient and I love my dishwasher. As far as "paying for guest to park" I'd like to clear that up. When you move in you get a parking permit for your windshield registered to your vehicle. In addition you are given two guest passes to give guest to hang on their mirror. Now should you need more than two guest passes, you can purchase a day pass for $3. I don't see anything wrong with that. Also people are welcome to park on the street for free. I think entirely too many people use the internet to complain and not enough give praise so I'm trying to do something refreshing. Bottom line is I love my apartment and I would recommend it to anyone.

Bad Apartnents
I have been living at Tuscany Woods since 2002, and I must say when I first moved in the complex name was Town and Country and ran by a different management team. The apartments were ok, but I did have a mice and bug problem. I was transfered to another unit and the problem subsided, but not for long. After many complaints to the management office they came and inspected the unit and found numerous holes in various places around the apartment mainly in the kitchen behind the stove which explained the roaches and mice problem, I was shocked when I discovered this, I dont know why I didnt move then, but after a few years new management took over and things got worst. I was transfered to 3 different apartnents within a year. Long story short, save your time and money this lace is not worth it. I am in the process of moving and getting out of my lease. The area has even got worst. I think I have over stayed my welcome far to long. You have been worned!

Don't Wast Your Money
A waste of money...roaches and mice are out of control. Management is unresponsive and rude, once you sign the lease their smiles go away. The biggest insult is that they now want to charge you for having guests visit. Starting May 1, they plan to charge every tenant $3 per day for any guest that visits you and parks his or her car on the property. I kid you not, they seriously are planning to do this. I cannot wait to get out of here! Do yourself a favor, DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS. They will take your money and give you nothing but headaches in return. Take heed to the complaints you see from other current and past tenants, they are not exaggerating.

Nice size apartments, look great with wash and drier BUT
Roaches and Mices; I hate them and I have been living on tuscany woods for 2 years and after exterminations every 2 weeks I'm leaving the apartment to the roaches and mices. Is so nasty and is imposible to resolve. They don't allowed cats or dogs but you will have 10 or 15 mices coming from other aparments doing holds to your carpet and eating everythig. They walk aroung your funiture and sit with you when you watch TV. Is not way you can have the most clean house and they will go in. I have put everything on Metal cans so they can't have any access to my food, I clean the house, every single place, I put more that 20 tramps around the house and I can do this any more. I was having this problem for the beggining from the first day that I move BUT NO ANY MORE... I'M OUT OF HERE.

So far I love it.....
I have not had any problems with any type of rodents.. So I am a little confused when reading all the previous reviews... Maybe it varies by building.. But I am so glad I made the decision to move in regardless of what I read.. I did a lot of drive-bys and spoke to current residents who also loved the building I was moving into.. I must truly say... I absolutely love my apartment... The Lay Out.. My Neighbors... Everything...

Mostly liveable, but chronic bug problems and dishonest staff
The apartment itself has advantages, the washer / dryer in unit, the space is fine, the alarm system is a nice bonus. Living here, not so great... Chronic bug problems, even when a clean house is kept - I believe it must be the way it's built, since they seem to have been having this problem for four years or more according to past reviews. I started out by trying to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, but consistent lies regarding everything from state laws, to maintenance setting off the alarm repeatedly (which they will charge you for), to the management not locking doors when they leave from their "inspections" of your apartment because of the buildings constant bug problems. Recently there was a break in to one of the apartments where the maintenance staff were suspected. During all of this, the management staff will be polite, reassuring, promise changes, commit to doing things in a decent manner, and follow up on nothing. Please do not live here, it was one of the worst mistakes I've made in a while.

I have been living at Tuscany Woods for almost two years now. Ms. Cheryl Thomas & her staff are extremely polite, and provide excellent customer service. The staff is always eager to assist in anyway they can, and they always seem to be working to improve the grounds and apartments. Maintainence is also always around, and eager to help. It is a wonderful place to live!

Mostly livable, but doesn't live up to the sell.
Roaches. From the day we moved in, we had them (quite literally while we were moving furniture, I spotted one in the kitchen). Despite bi-monthly exterminations, we STILL have them. We keep a VERY clean house, yet still have daily roach sightings. The rat poison doesn't appear to have been gnawed yet, thank goodness. We're in the process of reporting the complex to the county health department if the situation doesn't improve. In addition: The unit we were rented was nothing like the model. Those lovely French doors out to your balcony/patio? Forget it. They're in the model...but they've been replaced in the units by a single door window combo. Our tour guide conveniently neglected to mention this while showing us the model (he even had the gall to tout them as a selling point, knowing that the management had replaced all such doors over six months prior!). Cabinet space? Adequate in the model. Non-existent in our unit. We had to purchase stand-alone storage cabinets for the kitchen just to have space for dishes, let alone food. There is literally ONE tiny (6" wide) drawer. It's not even large enough to hold a silverware separator. The plus side is that there is essentially an entire wall, free of cabinetry, so at least there is space for your own. As for your move-in date, don't plan on being able to take possession of the apartment until late in the day. We were informed less than 24 hours ahead of time that we would not be able to move in until after 3 PM on our move-in date (the office called me at 5:00 the day before). This was due to "last-minute maintenance items" that had "just been noticed on the walk-through that day." I'm all for moving into a fully-functional apartment, but I know ours was vacant for at least one month prior to our move-in. This should have given the staff ample time to prepare. Once we got in, it was clear just how last-minute some of the work had been. The place still reeked of paint, the alarm system didn't work, several electrical outlets had been so sloppily painted-around that the paint had actually dripped down and dried, rendering the outlets unusable. And to top it all off, the first load of laundry I did in our *brand new* washer-dryer caused the entire place to stink of burning rubber due to a faulty belt. They eventually had to replace the entire unit. Next came the dishwasher. Also brand new. The first time I loaded it up and turned it on nothing. Thankfully, this turned out to be a simple breaker issue, but it was still pre-existing (we didn't touch the breaker box, so clearly the issue existed before we even moved in). Beware the office staff. They will sell you on the place without ever showing you an actual, lived-in unit, then when you've already signed the lease and paid your deposit, you'll find yourself in a very different environment. Every time I've called to report an issue, they have given me a hard time and/or assumed it was our fault. The one time they entered the apartment for inspection, they set off the alarm system, triggering an "emergency" call to my cell. Supposedly they have the alarm codes for each unit, but just "didn't have it handy" when they entered the apartment. It took me about 45 minutes of frantic phone calls between the alarm company and the leasing office, trying to determine if it was them, or if our place had actually been broken into. This was less than two weeks after move-in. Welcome home! The pool is actually a nice amenity, though it is a bit of a walk depending on where you live (it's technically shared with, and located in, Tuscany Gardens). The "gym" is right by the pool, and is really just an exercise room about the size of a two-bedroom apartment. As for the area: you get what you see. Drive around at night to get a feel for it before you sign up. I wouldn't say the apartment complex itself is unsafe, but I also wouldn't (as a woman) venture out on foot alone at night. I've lived in better areas, but I've also lived in worse. There are a number of gas stations, liquor stores, fast food places, and of course Security Square Mall right nearby, all of which create a fair amount of foot traffic, so take that into account. Our place is pretty quiet, though I can't speak for other buildings. It's about what I would expect for a place with a mix of students, young couples, and young families. We are right next to the highway, but the road noise is fairly minimal. I like the layout of the apartment, but it's clear that the workmanship is shoddy, the appliances are cheap/chintzy, and the management engages in shady practices in order to lease out units. My best advice: look at the ACTUAL UNIT you will be renting before you sign a lease or pay any deposit. Don't let the charlatans at the leasing office give you a hard sell on the first day you tour the model.

I have lived here for some time. I've seen management come and go, some good, some not so good. If you develop a relationship with management, they take care of you. I've seen rodent problems at times, but management has taken measures to correct the problems. I guess it depends on your neighbors doing their part. My building has no roach or rodent problems.

Happy but Unhappy
I am starting to have a problem with mice and for the life of me I do not understand why we would not allowed to have a cat if this will help resolve the problem. I have been dealing with roaches off & on over the years & I have had the exterminator over several times but nothing seems to help in getting rid of the roaches. This is a very embrassing problem. I am also unhappy with the fact that I have been here for years & my apartment have not been ungraded to the level of others. You would think after being here for so many years I would be offered the upgrades if for nothing but loyalty. For the most part I can say I have been happy living here but I am moving after 14 years for this reason among others.

Mouse infested!
I moved in a few months ago and have had nothing but one problem after another. The main problem is the mice running through my apartment. You would think they are paying part of my rent. Don't ask the staff in the rental office about the mouse problem because they will tell you its squirrels. STAY AWAY!!!

Wanted to get rid of roaches but ended up getting robbed
I went to the office to complain about the roach problem that everybody is suffering from (I was going to a wedding that day so I was dressed very nicely with a lot of jewelry on) couple of days later my apartment got robbed. I lock the deadbolt every day since I know plenty of people that got robbed from this apartment complex. The odd thing is that the door was not broken, it was as if the person that robbed me had a key to my place.

Tuscany Woods is the GUTTER
Do you like to feel on edge all the time and share your home with bugs Are you used to the ------ and enjoy living amongst thugs If you like horror films and witnessing violence in your dwelling Then look absolutely no more cause Tuscany Woods is now leasing The Fabulous staff and advertisements are all under false pretenses. Getting a surplus of raid, mouse traps and bedbug bites made me come to my senses. Oh yeah, the attitudes in the leasing office are all off the chain F-that .cause I will still continue to complain and complain. Got a maintenance problem that you cant seem to get fixed? Well that is expected cause they don t give a sh_t. I admit, I surely did not take the other complaints seriously, But soon after signing my lease, I wished the nightmare would end swiftly. For all of you renters looking for a place to stay My advice is to run, flee, and take heed to what we say.
