Chesterfield Village Apartments are one of the better places to live in Springfield, MO. Great community, the area is clean, mostly quiet which is nice, and close to lots of shopping. Really happy to be living in this wonderful apartment.

Before moving to Chesterfield it took a very long time to find a place to go. We needed to move quickly and Chesterfield Village Apartments were very helpful from the beginning in helping us find a home. We have lived at Chesterfield Village Apartments for over a year now. The apartment we moved into was well cleaned and ready to move in with a nice welcome gift. The maintenance and office are always ready to respond quickly to concerns or help when needed. They strive to keep their apartments neat and well maintained. Office staff and maintenance are friendly, cheerful and helpful. Our apartments are very quite - we cant hear our neighbors and they cant hear us. We recommend live at Chesterfield Village apartments!

Loved it here! The grounds were beautiful and the management truly did work with you. My sister and I lived here for a year and were very happy. The price is just right, utilities and rent were not too bad but it was still an updated place. My only complaint was that every time someone went up and down the stairs that are attached to your apartment for the building (which happened to be my room, where my bed was) it was loud, and sometimes moved the wall if someone was really stomping. We lived on the bottom floor and once spring hit there was an issue with ants coming in through the windows in my bedroom (which is weird due to my extreme cleaning habits), maintenance came and sprayed but it didn't really really help. We used one of the storage cages in our building and never had any issues, even when we had quite a bit of stuff in there! All my neighbors were delightful as well! They truly did a wonderful job at up keeping the grounds as well, no detail too small! I still cannot believe every time it snowed a team of men shoveled every last stair and walkway so graciously! Leasing staff really did work with us to solve any issue with the utmost professionalism and kindness! Definitely best price and quality for the location!

I have had the absolute best experience living at this apartment complex. The staff is completely wonderful and works extremely hard to make sure you're happy and help you with anything you need. The landscaping is unbelievably beautiful. The apartments are beautiful and wonderful as well. I can't say enough great things about living here. I will have to move away after this year but I'm going to miss this apartment complex!

I lived in this complex for three years and recently had to re-locate out of state. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a rental in West County. The grounds are beautiful and well maintaned. The staff is great - very friendly, professional and just nice people. The pool is kept very clean and has a lifeguard on duty everday. They also have a really cute tot pool kept separate from the adult pool. I never had to wait more thant a few hours to get something fixed - which was a rare occasion anyway. The apartments are beautiful and not over upgraded - meaning they are affordable - and the square footage is generous. My 3 bedroom was over 1300 SF. Each unit also comes with a generous storage unit in the lower level. I would definitely rent here again if I had to!!!

I moved into Chesterfield Village in February 2012, I signed a 6 month lease and renewed after the completion of the term. The staff here is absolutely AMAZING, I moved here after my job relocated me. I had never been to the area prior to me visiting. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. They really made my transition here go smoothly. They sent referrals to the utility companies for me so that I didn't have to worry about locating service providers. They made sure my technicians had access when i couldn't be there (with my permission of course) . The maintenance has a very quick response if there is an issue. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept and the neighbors are great. I would absolutely recommend this property to someone else. I have been relocated once more :( I sure hope I can find another property just as great....

We have lived in Chesterfield Village Apartments for 6 years and have no complaints whatsoever. We have a three-story townhome and love it. The only reason we are moving is because my husband is being transferred. Our townhome is large and meets all our needs. The entire neighborhood is quiet, the neighbors are all nice and friendly, and it is a real community. The office staff is very nice and efficient. The maintenance crew knows what they are doing. Anytime we have had a problem and called the office, the situation was usually taken care of within the hour. Last year after the winter snow had melted, we called the office to tell them some of the boards on our deck had buckled. They replaced the entire deck. I would highly recommend Chesterfield Village Apartments. We have truly enjoyed our time here.

Expensive and Noisy
I was drawn here because Chesterfield Village is very close to work. The grounds are beautiful. I came in knowing it was a little pricey, but I was definitely going by the, "you get what you pay for," mentality. First red flag: "Every unit is full so we aren't able to show you the inside of any apartment." This was totally my fault. It was presented as, and I took it as, a "good" sign that people move here and stay. I loathe moving and was eager to get into a place where I would be able to live for a long, long time. However, after we moved in, we noticed moving trucks constantly. Then came move-in day. The apartment at first glance was beautiful. But while carrying a box to the master bedroom, I sunk into a hole in the floor board that was carpeted over in the hallway. We called maintenance for a different issue (that was fixed) and brought it up. The reply, "oh, we know." What?? Uhg. We had a small dog and walking her at night was a pretty scary adventure. My husband, who is disabled, couldn't go up and down the stairs that led to the walking trail in the back (we're in a mid-level apartment with ground access in the front), but there was a nice patch of grass right outside we assumed was perfect for walking her. Until he discovered it wasn't well lit and he tripped in one of the many holes dug by moles. I came home from working my typical 14hr day to find him bleeding from his fall. From then on he braved the stairs with bad knees/bad back to walk her on the trail for her bedtime walk if I was still at work. The main problem, however, is the noise. We can hear EVERYTHING our upstairs neighbors are doing. Their simple act of walking sounds like a herd of deer. I never felt right complaining because you can tell they're simply just walking! When they moved in it sounded like our ceiling was about to cave in. They keep later hours than we do (usually we're in bed around 9-10) and we've been kept up until midnight by them walking around upstairs. Again, it's not their fault they keep later hours, the floors are just incredibly squeaky and loud. My solution to this is to sleep with headphones, whereas my husband has started running a loud fan (which to me, the lighter sleeper, doesn't drown out the noise). I wouldn't recommend this apartment complex for those who need ground level access. The rent is insanely high for the noise that we've dealt with. I've lived in apartment complexes on the bottom floor in this area where you definitely hear your neighbors above you, but the rent is lower and it doesn't sound like they're going to come careening through your ceiling. If you are able to get on the top floor your experience may be much nicer. Good luck! :)

I resided in a Chesterfield Village townhome for 9 years. Every experience was extremely positive. The management office personnel were exceptionally pleasant and responsive. The maintenance crew were knowledgeable and helpful. During my 9 year stay I had 4 different neighbors, all of whom were mature and orderly. The grounds were immaculate during the summer and winter. My compliments to the complex owners on their selection of outstanding staff.

Great place to rent
I lived in Chesterfield Village for a little over 4 years, and it is the best apartment community I have experienced. The maintenance of the exterior grounds is great, the responsiveness of management to every and any repair request was always stellar. My unit backed to woods, so it was very quiet. The fitness center is a real plus, always well maintained. Oh, and nice neighbors!

My Stay at Chesterfield Village
I rented from this complex for almost 4 years before I moved to Colorado. This complex has got to be one of the best in St. Louis. The buildings were well constructed and had very good sound deadening. The maintenance and grounds keeping was second to none. When I had an issue with a tenant's dog, it was taken care of. Maintenance responded quickly. The appliances and cabinetry was not the cheap builder's grade you get in even more expensive apartments. The lease terms were great where I could switch between month-to-month to 6 months and back when I needed due to changing job conditions. The rent increases were annually and usually only around $10 per year. I did have issues where the bedroom abutted against a stairwell but that was architecture and nothing the management could change.

Messy cars, and centipedes inside!
I often find myself "on the fence" with how I feel about this apartment. For example, the bugs are horrible, but then you can have a week go by with none, and then all of sudden they are back out of nowhere. The main bug we have are centipedes. The centipedes are huge and are fast! Once you kill them, they make a big mess, too. Also, sometimes the office staff are extremely rude to you and treat as if you are a waste of their time, and other times they are your best friend! I happen to be located near the pool, and other guest like to park in front of my building instead of at the POOL parking lot, and a lot of people either don't know how to drive or think their cars are better than anyone else, because they all park in the middle of two spots. This community has a ton of trees!!! Which, if you ask me, is why there are so many bugs! Just look at the outsides of the buildings. There are spider webs in between every step and spindle. We took the light bulb out of porch light to avoid having a hundred bugs fly into your apt at night. Also, with all the trees means a ton of birds. Be ready for chirping 24/7 and bird poop all over your car. As well as tree sap on your car. The sprinkler systems spray like broken fire hydrants, leaving huge dirty water spots on your car, so pretty much if you care about the cleanliness of your car, you aren't going to get it here!! Last thing, if you do not work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, you will be awaken by maintenance guys flying down the road in old rusted beat up trucks or golf carts, and what feels like daily grass cutting (usually starts around 7:30am)

Positive experience with Chesterfield Village
My husband and I lived in Chesterfield Village for one year. Had it not been for a new job, we would have renewed our lease. Despite your typical apartment noise (like neighbors playing loud music), these apartments are fairly quiet...you can't hear a neighbor's conversation, for instance, and you can't hear every shower being taken. There was a lot of storage room, both on the deck and in the basement of the building. There was plenty of room for our front-load washer and dryer in the bathroom closet. The bedrooms were spacious with big closets. And I really, really miss that wood-burning fireplace! The trees and lawns were beautiful and well-maintained. There was plenty of parking, and extremely prompt snow-removal. In fact, during last winter's big storm, the people clearing the lots invited us to move our cars to a clear spot so they could clear our spots and allow us to move our cars back. Maintenance was always very responsive. All in all, I loved living there.

Slum Lords, Horrible place to live.
Tried and tried to get stuff fix and they wont do anything. The apartment are so hot we cant even cook in them they are the worse, everything is falling apart, door handles nobs. Dishwasher is always breaking and the wood on the patios is rotting. Dont let them lie to you they are good at that and wont respond to anything but getting there money on time and will upcharge you on everything its crazy all they want is money, money, and more money. The apartments are at a good price but you'll end up paying more in utilities, electric because of old windows and old sliding doors. This place is horrible.

Great place to live
Chesterfield Village Apts are updated, spacious, fireplaces, W & D hookups, garages and covered parking and are well maintained. U-Verse and wireless internet available. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. In the winter, the sidewalks and streets are kept clear of snow and ice. The complex is quiet and close to grocery stores, gas stations, WalMart, the Mall, restaurants and churches. I feel safe and very comfortable here. The office staff and maintenance are professional, courteous and very efficient.

Not happy here
We moved here in October of 2010, and foolishly chose to renew our lease for a further 6 months. We have not been happy here. Superficially, it looks like a great place, very private, lots of trees, the apartment seemed nice. We realized shortly after moving in though we are paying for a renovated unit that wasn't completely renovated. The appliances in the kitchen are very old, even though the description boasts brand new appliances. The dishwasher is incredibly noisy and doesn't get dishes clean properly so I have to go through the hassle of washing them completely before putting them in there to sanitize them. I have back issues and a dishwasher was very important to me. The ceiling fans are incredibly noisy as well, and the air circulation here is mediocre at best, leaving the main bedroom roasting hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. We have to use the ceiling fan to keep cool enough but the noise often keeps us up at night. We have had multiple issues with the sliding door leading to the balcony, I finally had to fix it myself in order for it to be done right. People drive through the parking lot at high speeds even though there are often children outside. It can be hard to get a parking space near the building you live in, even with just one car. It seems everyone has 2 cars, and they feel they are entitled to park both of those cars as close to the entrance as possible. We regularly have people stomping past our bedroom wall waking us up at all hours of the night, they also run through the walkways at 2 am, we have even had people actually bang on the wall where our bedroom is located while they are walking past. Seriously, who does that sort of thing? We are very quiet and keep to ourselves, we only expect that other people pay us the same respect but sadly that is not the case. We thought we were moving somewhere a little classier than other apartments, but clearly not. The worst by far has to be our upstairs neighbors though. They are extremely noisy, to the point that we are miserable mostly because of them. They are often up at 6 am scraping furniture across the floor, this continues throughout the day. They also bang on the floor repeatedly all day long. They make sounds like they are dropping heavy weights on their floor, and walk like elephants, they stomp everywhere they go. They will wash their laundry and use the dishwasher sometimes as late as 2 am, and we've heard them have all night parties. It got to the point that I could not take it anymore and called management, who suggested I talk to the neighbors myself because they claimed ignorance and told her they couldn't figure out how they were making all that noise! The entire apartment shakes they are banging around so much up there, there is no way they don't know what they are doing. Also judging by the fact that the noise got WORSE after we talked to management, I don't think talking to them myself will work, and it's also a very unprofessional way to handle a very valid complaint from a tenant. I was told they have been living here a long time, so I guess since we haven't, we don't really matter. Unfortunately we cannot move out when this lease is up as I am due to have a baby less than 2 weeks after it ends, and to break the lease means giving them an extra months rent for nothing. I would honestly look elsewhere or really get to know the neighbors before you move in, and make sure the apartment is actually renovated, not just halfway because they will still charge you.

If you like spiders, this place is for you!
I found at least two dozen Brown Recluse spiders in my apartment over a 3 month period in the summer, including one that crawled over my leg while I was in bed. Management seemed indifferent to the issue and was minimally helpful. Also the laundry rooms are crawling with more spiders and the machines are frequently out of order. You should just assume that you'll be going to a laundromat or buying and installing your own machines. They allow pets but charge an arm and a leg for it. Other than that it was okay.

Great place to live
We moved to the Chesterfield Village apartments two years ago. We rented a town home which was truly a home. The layout was perfect for us including the finished basement, large laundry room, and spacious storage room. We had originally planned to rent for one year but loved it so much, we stayed for two. The spacious deck overlooked the woods and it felt very private. However, the efficiency and friendliness of the staff is what made this place the best. Any and all of our repairs were attends to as soon as I had made the call. The office staff was always willing to please and easily accessible. They thought of everything down to the recyle area and more than adequate trash areas, which were inconspicuously placed. We moved because we left the state but would have gladly stayed. Forgot to mention, we had wonderful neighbors who were there if you needed them but allowed plenty of privacy.

A genuine home
========================================== First Name: Kathleen Last Name: Rebmann Email Address: katreb16@charter.net City: Chesterfield State: Mo I had never lived in an apartment before, and was going through a divorce. I happened upon Chesterfield Village & immediately fell in love with the surroundings. I made an appointment to visit the next day and knew right away this was going to be my new home. That was seven years ago, and I've never been able to find anything comparable to the private, secure home I found here. Jenita, Miranda & Sue are friendly and always accessible for any requests you might have, in addition to the quick response and repair of any maintenance concern. After a severe break to my leg, they took extra precautions to insure my safety in the winter months. I have and will continue to recommend Chesterfield Village. Until you live here, you can't fully appreciate the privacy and security that is the heart of this community.

A beautifully maintained apartment complex
I have lived in Chesterfield Village Apartments for the last three months but I also lived in them 15 years ago for one year. I cannot say enough nice things about living here. The apartments are comfortably sized and the complex is very quiet. The office staff is so friendly and helpful; every single person in that office cares about people enjoying their homes. The landscaping is the absolute best. The trees and plants are so lush and beautiful, and I don't have to maintain them! If you want a clean, well-maintained, lovely place to live, look no further.
