Best Move We Could Have Made

I am writing because my husband & I are so thrilled with our experience here at Chesterfield Village. We have lived here 6 years & have no regrets whatsoever. The staff in the office and the maintenance people have always gone way out of their ways to make us feel good about being here. They always have a friendly smile & genuinely want to hear what we might have to say. Everything is handled in a very professional way. Whenever there has been a maintenance issue, all I have to do is pick up the phone, call the office & it has never taken more than 1/2 hour for someone to be on our doorstep, ready & able to fix whatever it might be. I will hasten to add that there has never been anything major wrong. Our townhome was in immaculate condition when we obtained it & the only calls have been minor things such as asking to have someone to come over to replace a light bulb in a chandelier over the stairway that we can't reach because it's too high. The grounds are maintained beautifully. Just this week some men came out & replaced the stones that curve gracefully around our plantings. I didn't realize that there was anything wrong with the old ones. However, the new ones are even nicer than the old! Things like that make a difference. My husband & I had always owned our homes before moving here. It was difficult to downsize. We had substantial concerns about whether we could be happy in a townhome. We are so glad that we chose to move here. Everything is maintained the way that we wanted it to be as a homeowners. They do not cut corners. We have wonderful neighbors. I have never heard anyone complaining about Chesterfield Village. Our first interaction was with Miranda in the office. She and the rest of the staff were and continue to be so personable and caring. I don't know who is responsible for the hiring, but my hat is off to that person! I know that Lou Sachs had a vision of what Chesterfield could be & I certainly believe that Chesterfield Village is a beautiful representation of that vision!

Can't Wait for Lease to End!

We have lived here for almost 4 months of a 6 month lease term and in that short amount of time we have had more problems in this apartment and with the management staff then we've had in the last 4 apartments for the last 10 years that we've lived in all combined. First thing that is hard to tolerate, is the staff is NOT friendly. They make you feel as though you are interupting them if you call or stop by the office to tell them about a problem in your apartment. They treat us like a nuisance and are completely disrespectful. A friend of ours had heard that we'd moved here so she stopped by the apartment office to get information on the apartments and must have interupted the girl in the office while she was eating lunch, and the girl actually said "Well, I was about to eat lunch but I GUESS I can go ahead and show you an apartment!" I was so humiliated when my friend called to tell me this later. We've had every problem that you can imagine in our apartment. Mice, water leaks, noisy neighbors, mold, broken appliances, ac not working! And not to mention how dirty the apartment was when we moved into it. I actually spent the first 2 days we lived there not unpacking but instead cleaning everything because it had so much grime on it. I don't recommend this apartment community you will much better off by going elsewhere.

Great place to live

CVA is avery nice placeto live. Very scenic with a parl like setting. Quiet and safe. A VERY friendly and helpfull staff. Very good maintenance. Would live there again if everback in St Louis. Highly recommended.

The best older apartment I found

We have been living in Chesterfield Village for a year now. We moved from Texas and are going to be moving back so we won't be renewing our lease. If we were to stay we would renew our lease only because a lot of the apartments in this area are older and Chesterfield Village seems like the only one to keep up with the grounds and maintenance. The office staff is super friendly and our family has NEVER had a problem with them. They are always there to answer our questions or help us with anything we need. The maintenance is reasonable. Our AC was broken and they came out right away to fix it. We have called a few times because our outlets in our bathrooms don't work and they have never come out to fix them. It isn't that big of a deal to us cause we don't really use them but it is annoying when we do need them. The Scenery is BEAUTIFUL. They keep up with the grounds every week. Every week there are landscaping people taking care of everything. It can get a bit frustrating in the mornings when you are trying to sleep in but I think its worth it. The walls are VERY THIN. I can hear everyone walking up and down the stairs at all hours of the night and early early in the morning. I wake up at 6am cause their are people that run up and down every morning. I can hear the neighbor next,above, and below to me. I don't mind footsteps at all but the people upstairs either fight and slam doors or they rearrange their furniture everyday. But thin walls can happen in any apartment. The one thing that absolutely bugs me is other tenants and their barbeques. Their are people on the first floor of my building that they have BBQ's all the time but they dont pay attention to the grill. I went outside once and their was a flame almost as high of the patio above them. The people below me leave their grills unattended too. In Texas there is a rule that we cant BBQ on our patios. I dont know if there is a rule here but there should be. Its just dangerous. I like the fact that there is a storage downstairs we can use and each building has its own washer and dryer room on the bottom floor. Our washer broke and having the laundry room right below us helped a lot. I think these apartments are the best in the area for the age of the complex. I do think that they are overpriced for the size and how old they are but I think thats just the area. Chesterfield is an expensive area. All in all If I had to live here again I would.

Very well managed property... a GREAT place to live !!!

After selling our home quickly I scrambled to find a temporary place to live while looking for a new house. Chesterfield Village more than met our original criteria.. at least two bedrooms, storage space on the lower level and a tolerant pet policy ! We have been here for almost two years and may NEVER buy another home !! After maintaining a large home on a BIG lot we are really spoiled ... if something breaks or goes wrong in our unit we simply call the office and the issue is addressed by the next day at the latest ! No more yard work, gutter cleaning or snow shoveling ! We have been very impressed with how well kept and well managed the property has been in our time here. My husband and I highly recommend Chesterfield Village Apartments... long or short term living !!!

An amazing place to live with an incredible staff

My experience at CVA was, in a word, incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed my townhome's spacious floorplan and secluded, woodsy feel. The office staff were a true delight; very friendly and warm to me and everyone else. They organize and communicate community BBQs and pool parties to encourage socializing with the neighbors...all free for residents! What a deal! As if there weren't enough, the maintenance staff were skilled and responsive...usually at my door on the same day I called to report an issue. The grounds are very well maintained and the entire place is just beautiful. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a safe, secure, park-like setting in which to live.

I thoroughly enjoyed living in Chesterfield Village. The staff was friendly and professional. The grounds are well kept and the routine maintenance program is the best I have ever experienced. It is a quiet neighborhood and I love the trees! I have to relocate for my job and I wish I could pick-up my townhome and take it with me. I will miss living here!

My Best Decision of 2009 so far

I recently moved to Chesterfield Village and couldn't be more pleased. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is fantastic. I was very impressed with the responsiveness of the maintenance staff regarding my Move-In Inspection sheet. Everything that I listed was addressed and fixed or scheduled to be fixed THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY! Where else can you find that kind of service? My location is quiet and there is ample parking. The grounds are lovely and my neighbors are friendly. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, well-kept community.

Awesome Community

CVA has everything you could ever want out of a communtiy envionment. The landscaping is impeccable. The offfice staff and maintenance are extremely procative and responsive to all your requests. The apartments and grounds are constantly being renovated and upgraded....everything seems brand new, from the appliances to the amenities...speaking of the amenities...they are top of the line...the fitness center has everything...rated #1 fitness center in an apartment community in STL!! The pools have been remodeled and offer a family environment. Once you drive through the community you will see it's value.The convenience to the highway and Chesterfield Commons is a bonus. Whether you plan to stay for 6 months or 6 years you will enjoy ever minute of it. I have been a resident for over 13 years and don't plan to leave anytime soon, as a matter of fact most people come back to visit because they miss the community so much!

What a great deal..

The apartment has everything we would want in a full house, but in a one-bedroom apartment. Staff are very helpful and friendly! We did a walk through before moving in and there were a few minor things we noticed that needed fixing. We made a list and submitted it to the leasing office and they fixed everything on the list before our move in date. We were very pleased. The grounds are clean and pretty and the exterior of the apartment made us feel like we were staying at a lodge on vacation. The rest of the apartments we looked at were very 70s-80s style, needed a lot of updating, and the grounds were not as nice as Chesterfield Village. Oh, and there is extra storage besides the in unit storage. That was a bonus we didn't know about until we moved in. The location is perfect. There is shopping (Chesterfield Mall) and restaurants within a few minutes in all directions! All in all, we are very pleased with this place and it makes us feel more at home here in Saint Louis.

Cant wait to get out

Biggest mistake was to finalize apartment in chesterfield village. They charge more for renovated apartments, further the apartment they gave us was not move in ready and infact dangerous. The faucet in one of the bathrooms detached upon use and was extremely dangerous. While one bathroom had a broken faucet, the other bathroom shower was leaking water over the walls. AC was broken and also the heater in the bathroom. There is rust in washer-dryer area which cannot be fixed plus fungus in the patio in many apartments. The flaws with the apartment were countless. And this was my experience on the very next day upon move in. Management could only apologize and could do nothing more which was very dissappointing. Please save yourself from the misery and find a good place to live.

We Have Never Felt More at Home!

We recently moved from a nice single family home into a spacious townhome in the Chesterfield Village Apartments community. We now live in a quiet setting among park-like stands of mature hardwood trees - with an endless array of songbirds to delight our eyes during the day and elusive hoot owls to delight our ears at night. With easy access to I-64 and major thoroughfares, we are just minutes away from literally hundreds of retail shops, "big box" stores, restaurants in every category, the Chesterfield Post Office, YMCA, St Louis County Library and other community facilities. The onsite Recreation Center is awesome. The management and maintenance staffs operate the property at high levels usually found only in condominium communities. We love it here!

Extraordinary value in St. Louis

I have lived in Chesterfield Village for 22 years, since 1987. I have lived in different units over that time. I have recommended the complex to people who have moved in and been very pleased. Very honestly, the service is exceptional; the management is helpful and professional; and it's hard to imagine how one could have a better experience. The fact is that I have stayed here because of the professionalism of the complex, and the comfort, at a very reasonable prices. I have been to the homes of others in different complexes, and I haven't seen one that compares.

Great place

I moved here from Westmont. Whatever you do, don't sign a lease or even waste your time at Westmont. Now to the review. I have absolutely no complaints. There is some noise, but nothing unexpected for a multi-family residence. Neighbors are all very nice, the groundskeeping is phenomenol! Very fast snow removal, including the sidewalks. The landscaping, park-like setting, and intelligent street layout makes it feel more like a community, and less like a complex. The maintenance staff have promptly responded to all of my requests, and are very professional. The office staff is unfailingly courteous and responsive. Overall, I could not be happier unless I lived in my own home. Water pipe noise could be less, but it's a small price to pay relative to all the benefits.

Excellent place to live

I lived here from April 2006 through October 2007. The two bedroom apartment was right off the awesome creek that they have - great scenary, big trees, quiet and relaxing, great neighboors too. The management came through on everything I requested, including getting the duct work cleaned once and new appliances upon renewing the lease. I'm not one for the Chesterfield area though, so I moved closer to St. Louis. Otherwise, I would have stayed there. I highly recommend this complex.

Never Ever in life

I stayed in these apartments for 2 years and it was the worst experience in my life. For starters when I moved in I had no heat in the middle of the winter. This lasted for about 2 weeks they clamied they were waiting for the new heater. Finally they fixed it. Then I had a leak in my walk in closet from the 2nd floor apartment ( I stayed in the basment apartment) they called a company to come out and paint. These lovely people used spray paint in my closet which ruined all my clothes. The company paid for the damages. Then one day I came home early from work only to find 4 maint. workers in my apartment watching TV eating my food. I had no work order. Now the summer rolls around they never hooked the AC when they recieved the new unit. They fix that then a new problem arises. They didnt properly hook it for the 2nd time and water has leeaked into my closet from the new heater. CAN WE SAY MOLD. Mold was everywhere all over clothes and shoes they paid for my propety but never addressed the actual carpet. Over the the next year and a half that mold grew and damaged my whole wooden bedroom set. No funds For that they argued that it wasnt mold. I have had 3 Peeping tom incidents. Where the men stared at me in my bedroom window. I had to go out and purchase a gun and a big dog. They never addressed this either. I moved and was charged $1190 dollars for repairs that were not taken care of before I moved in and while I was there. If you want to live in fear and all of your property damaged then this is the place for you. We had 2 people killed, 1 kidnapping, and multiple armed robberies all in 2 years. Alot at risk for an expensive price. I will never ever in life live here again. In the middle of suing them now.

Very Happy So Far

I have been at Chesterfield Village for only 2 months but so far am very pleased indeed. I did a lot of shopping around in Chesterfield as well as many other surrounding areas. Chesterfield Village was the only place that I immediately felt 'at home' from the first viewing and that feeling has stayed with me through my first couple of months living there. I felt that both Chesterfield Village developments ("Townhomes" and the adjacent "Apartments and Townhomes") were head and shoulders above anything else I looked at in terms of both the individual properties and the overall setting. I selected a Townhome in the "Apartments & Townhomes" development, based largely upon the specific units available at the time and also the more spread out and heavily treed environment. Although there are a lot of homes on the property it does not feel crowded in any way because of the thoughtful layout and park-like setting. The staff have been very helpful and pleasant and the few work orders I have submitted have been addressed very quickly indeed. The units are older than in many other developments I looked at and yet they feel much cleaner and fresher than any others I viewed. The carpets are either new or very well cleaned and cared for, the vanities are not anything special but they are clean and fresh and do not look old and worn out as they did in many properties I viewed. The walls and ceilings were all fresh and clean when I moved in. I don't know if they had been freshly painted in between tenants or not but they feel so much more fresh than anywhere else I looked. My own townhome has the 'upgraded' kitchen which is well worth the small differential in monthly fees for the new cabinets, counter tops and, for rented property, pretty nice (and new) appliances. Although I would have liked a garage or at least a car port, none were available when I rented and so I was added to a wait list. However, parking is ample and I almost always get the same spot each night. Overall, I have no complaints and am very happy with the choice I made. Looking for somewhere to live was a pain and yet I am very lad that I persevered and did not settle for anywhere else before finding Chesterfield Village. I also opted to rent the unit through an executive leasing company as I needed somewhere fully furnished and supplied with all house wares. The company I selected was Marriott's ExecuStay and overall I have been happy with them too. ExecuStay and Chesterfield Village worked well together and made the whole process smooth and seamless. Because I went the furnished route, I don't recall the exact monthly rate just for the home itself. The figure I have provided is an estimate only.

you will never get your security deposit back

I am extremely disappointed and will definitely not recommend this place to anybody. I did not even receive my security deposit back. The deductions included 100$ for curry odour left in the house. We made sure the apartment was in a neat and clean condition when we left. However the management will find any reason to hold back your deposit.This is desperate behaviour especially when you shell out good money to live here.There are other apartments in Chesterfield where the management is better and definitely more courteous.

Great place.

When we moved to St. Louis we were worried about a comfortable & safe place to live. When we found Chesterfield Village Apts. we knew we were at home. From the landscaping to the maintenance to the office staff- we are extremely pleased with it all. It is close to shopping and convenient to the highways. It's amazing!<br>

Beautiful place to live.

I have lived in Chesterfield Villiage Apartments for three years. I have nothing but good things to say. The apartment complex and surroundings are beautiful. And what makes that so is the upkeep. I would and have recommended this apartment complex to friends and coworkers. I knew the day I walked onto the property and have never changed my mind. It also was a plus when shown an apartment, I was offered all brand new appliances in my home and I was actually able to see the exact apartment home that I rented. The 2 story gym, the pools, and tennis courts are all pluses, as well. Way to go Chesterfield Village.

Beautiful place to live

After searching through many apartments,this one really had the best to offer. Beautiful landscape, excellent open floor plans, a wonderful staff, and an expansive fitness center with racquetball court and sauna. It also has tennis courts, a basketball court, playground, sand volleyball, everything you would ever want, and it is in a very convenient location.
