I've only lived here a few weeks, but the pool was shut down within days of arrival in June, then the gym outer door was damaged and so the gym is only open during office hours until it can be repaired. One of the exit gates doesn't seem to be working. Maintenance tech told me that it is just him and one other guy, his supervisor, that handle two different properties.

To many unwanted people in the pool and getting into the secured community that do not live here. They wait until offices closed and come to the pool playing loud music and making fun enjoyable for ppl who live here

The community has been good, no compaints since I have been here. The gym and pool are great and the location is convenient for work. The gym has also been great and it saves money on having to get a gym membership.

Overall rating is pretty good. The staff is very helpful, and the maintenance guys are on point. The apartment complex for the most part is quiet, and people are pretty friendly. I would suggest this apartment complex is you were looking in the Spring Lake area.

We love our unit so much.It is spacious and cozy. The only thing we would like them to fix is the low water pressure. They said it is under the Community Water Department's jurisdiction but we are still hoping they can coordinate it with them and do something about it.

Don't move here unless you're desperate

I've reached out to our congressman about this place. Hopefully, things will get resolved. Been here over 2 years now. So far, the place changed property mgmt 3 times now. I wonder why. Maintenance is slow because it is far too many issues here. So, you'll have to wait. Imma get to the point... the website and lease says utilities and cable ready. WHY ARE WE PAYING FEES Called " TELECOM FEES" AND "PEST CONTROL FEES"? I moved here because utilities were included and a washer and dryer. I was never told i had to cover for cable or pest control. I don't use cable nor do I have a TV. I asked what the Telecom fee was and was told it's for the cable. And was told this something I had to pay for when I moved here. Thats not true. I have the original lease I signed. Excuse me? So, now I have an increase of $42 on my rent because of some additional fees? That's gouging. I don't like the gaslighting. I don't like the lying. I don't like the sneaky fees to increase my rent. How is that fair? And it's not my even time to renew my lease. This is 5 months early.

First, to clarify, Van Metre has owned and managed Stone Gate since April 2021, and there hasn t been a change in property management during that time. Regarding the "cable-ready" feature, this means the apartment is pre-wired for cable or internet services; however, individual cable or service fees are not included in the rent. As for utilities, the website does specify that water, sewer, and trash are the utilities covered. We apologize if there was any confusion about additional fees such as the telecom and pest control charges, and we'd be happy to review your lease with you to make sure everything aligns correctly. It was fine for what it was two years ago but they hiked the rent up on us last time we renewed and are adding fees that didn't use to be there for things you don't even have to use. The staff has gotten more rude and you better have a copy of when you paid rent cause they'll try multiple times to say you paid late.

Decent place to live, office staff does their best, as does maintenance. As the property approaches its second decade, little issues start to become bigger. No one big issue, but there are lots of little inconveniences you'll see as time goes on.

The staff here is very welcoming and helpful. It was a breeze getting everything done for move in, and getting situated for our first few days. The community is very nice and a great spot as it is convenient 3 minute drive traveling into town.

The Stone Gate Apartment Community offers a great place to call home. Since day one the staff has treated me with respect and the premises have remained of high quality.
