Apartments are nice. Manager is rude. Staff is overall rude. No one seems to do anything about noise complaints. There has been several complaints put on the people above me and yet they still blast their music at 1-2 am. I've tried complaining to them, i've hit the roof with a broom and complained to the apartment complex. Cops have even been up there once. I will not be renewing my lease when it is up in a few months. If they can't control people then evict them or loose more people from your complex. Rent is way too expensive! Pet deposits are way too expensive!

Great apartments. Lived there for two years and enjoyed it very much. Management and staff are excellent to work with. Accommodations are excellent. Apartments are very energy efficient, never had and electric bill over $70 and kept the air at 72 degrees. Maintenance crew is top notch and great at responding to maintenance calls. The activities they have through out the year are fun. There are a couple of cops that live there and their phones numbers are available if you ever need anything.

These apartments are great for safety. Although it is near Bragg Blvd, the safety isn't an issue because it is gated with security cameras. I saw someone complain about people tailgating you into the gates at all hours of the night, and what do you expect? If someone forgot their key card, maybe they need in to their apartment but the phone box isn't working, happens to me all the time. The apartments are highly overpriced though. I understand they come with appliances and they are nice, but the rent being 1000 a month or more really breaks the bank. They aren't understanding at all about this either. If you are even $100 behind on rent, they will give you an eviction notice. This is ridiculous because my husband (who is in the military) has friends who get in financial situations and are able to go a month without paying rent and don't get evicted. The pet rent is outrageous, when we first got a kitten (and let's be honest, kittens don't harm stuff for the most part) I had to pay the $300 pet fee (for a $20 kitten!!) and $20 a month. That is crazy. And, we only have one vehicle, but there is no where to park it! Maybe each family should get one assigned parking spot and park the rest in side parking, so people with four cars can't take up all the spaces! Don't get me wrong, all the staff are really kind, but the neighbors are not. They will complain about anything. There is a rule saying you can't leave your hot bbq on your porch because of the chance of fire, makes perfect sense to me. BUT, if you leave it on the sidewalk to cool off, people will complain. That's ridiculous, just walk around it! And they will complain about any noise on weekend nights around 8 at night, but they have no problem bumping music at 11 on a weeknight. The apartments are gorgeous, but unless you are rich, not worth it. At least not with the staff being completely not understanding about financial hardships that come with the military.

I am surprised to see all the negative comments on here. My husband and I are currently residents here, and we love the security. All the staff in the office are great and help you with anything you need. When something in your apartment is wrong, they are great about coming and fixing it on the spot. When we PCS again, I am going to miss all the wonderful staff here. Signed a very satisfied resident.

Loved Living At Stone Gate
I recently moved out of Stone Gate and I was surprised to see some of the comments from people who lived there. I am in the military and my wife and I always felt safe from the start and the surrounding area is no worse than anywhere else we have lived. As a matter of fact I am glad that the apartment place has a gated entrance and the tv channel we could watch was an added benefit for my wife while I was gone. As for the carpet comment - wow this was off - I got my full deposit back when I moved out and yes we had a pet - we just didn't allow it to mess up the carpet... I think this may have been the problem with the person who commented before. I would have given a 5 stars on the grounds if people, probably the same person who I mentioned, would clean up after their pets. The place gave us bags at the pet parks to clean up and their was one out side my building also, I think it was in several places, yet people would not clean up after their dogs! The staff was always kind and the maintenance staff completed the requests that we put in for items quickly - Thanks Mike, John and James. The picking up of trash was a nice addition. My wife and I will definately be moving back to Stone Gate in the future.

Great Place to live - I will move back when I come back
I just moved out of Stone Gate due to deloyment and I was surprised to read the previous statement made about having to replace the carpet, yes they did pull the carpet up and we had a pet, yet no stains were found and I got my entire deposit back! I think the location from Bragg is great and I loved the apartment. My wife felt safe and secure when I was out. We did have solicitors come on the apartment property, however I would call the maintenance staffs phone and they would always track them down and make them leave. I always found a place to park and loved that they had parking lot lighting like they did. We did have a problem with the water pressure, however the owner installed pumps to increase the pressure and it worked great. They do allow big dogs and I am glad they did, if other people would pick up after their pets then the grounds would have rated a 5 star rating. I loved the staff the maintenance was always done on a timely basis and I couold count on them to make the repairs work right. Thanks - We will be back as a tenant in the future - so hold a spot of us.

I hope you have 2000 saved when you move out
Every tenant that has moved out of the apartment has to to replace the carpet and the padding! 1700 and you dont get your security deposit back. We had one spot not even on the carpet. They pulled up every corner during the inspection to look at the pads underneath and saw a stain on a pad that you couldn't see on the carpet. Sure enough we got an invoice of 1700 and didn't get the security deposit back. I found out 4 people that just moved out the month before me had to do the same thing. They are nickle and imbedding everything to get their investment back. Not only did I pay 1200 a month to just for me and my husband, no kids, no pets, no problem..or so I thought...but they also charged 25 a room for each light installment, 50 for the key less entry to get the in the gate that never works, 50 for a bag of trash outside with no warning and the list goes on. They don't have enough military people to pay the high prices and they're costing us a fortune because they're fearing going out of business. You can hear everything from your neighbors Oh and theirs no parking !! A problem they cant fix.

Nice apartments, HORRIBLE area.
The apartments themselves are pretty nice with garden tubs, sunrooms, and granite countertops. And being able to have a large breed dog is also nice, although the fees are (as reviewed previously) pretty high. The amenities are also really nice especially the pool area. But, and this is a very major but, the area is absolutely horrendous. It entirely too close to Bragg Blvd (and if you know anything about Fayetteville you know the stigma attached to that particular road) which we knew getting into our lease so we decided that the complex being gated would combat the crime in the area. We were totally wrong. Not only are there sketchy people who tailgate you into the complex at all hours of the night but there are CONSTANT solicitors at your door. You can't go out to let your dog out or get the mail after 9 pm unless you are packing heat and just driving down Spring Avenue, you have to constantly avoid crackhead pedestrians wandering aimlessly in the middle of the street. Stone Gate has recently begun renting to some seriously unsavory characters so not only are there people you should worry about outside of the gates, but inside as well now. Rent is pretty high to be in such a bad area and a lot of times maintenance requests go unnoticed for quite a while. Although they rent to pet owners, there are constant problems between tenants over dog related issues. I think people who are not used to/do not like large dogs should not look at renting here. There isn't a 25 lb weight limit and there are some large breed dogs throughout the property on a daily basis. All in all I would recommend that for the money, you could do better somewhere else in a much safer area.

The Stonegate apartments are really nice and well maintained on the inside and out. Great appliances, countertops, room space. Staff is friendly. The washer and dryer in unit is really nice, he washer and dryer. Nice pool area, Giant bath tub, everything inside the apartments are great. complaints would be the water pressure that comes through the showers. The walls are pretty thin and you can hear any talking that happens outside the front door. It is surrounded by not so great areas so safety outside of the apartments is an issue, and sometimes I side as well. Although they are gated people manage to find their way in after hours. Solicitors are always about even though there is supposed to be a strict no soliciting policy. I'm scared to go outside alone at night because there is always suspicious people lurking around. If you have pets the fees are pretty high, and there is a non refundable deposit and monthly rent, a lot of neighbors don't pick up after their pets even though they are supposed to. Other than that I would recommend the stonegate apartments if you are willing to fight off the boredom and crime that surrounds the apartments.

Great Experience!
I lived at Stone Gate for about 6 months. It was my first experience with the area around Ft. Bragg and I really loved it! It was so close for my husband to get to work, and the community has such a positive vibe! Our apartment was brand new, with a great, open floor plan, and amazing master bathroom with a garden tub, and GRANITE countertops! Can't say enough about this place- loved the staff, too!
