I have lived in these apartments for two years this June. The only reason we have decided to move is that our family has outgrown the apartment with the birth of our fourth child and we have decided to buy a home. My experience at Stone Gate was amazing and I can stand behind my review without using an anonymous title. My children love the leasing office staff and are always greeted with smiles, hugs, AND cookies if any are left in the afternoon. They are professional, of course, but in my opinion their personal connection to each family in the complex is worth it's weight in gold. I've always felt safe and taken care of, and as often as my husband is out in the field or away on training, it means more than you can imagine to know that my children and I are safe at night. The maintenance staff is always efficient and gets work done in a timely manner. I'd recommend this complex to anyone, especially if you prefer living in a community as opposed to an impersonal corporate ruin apartment complex. Stone Gate has always treated us well and we will truly be sad to leave. Jill Skots

I have enjoyed living at Stone Gate for the past year and a half. I really don't have any complaints. I've never had a single issue with noise, the staff is always very friendly and caring, and maintenance is very responsive. I have a single bedroom/bathroom apartment, and I think it is very spacious. We use the pool a lot during the summer which is always kept clean. We also use the apartment gym too which has good quality equipment. The location of the apartments is good too, especially if you don't want to live in Fayetteville. I definitely feel very safe here. The only downside is that if you go to Fayetteville a lot or work on the south side of Fort Bragg, it can be a little far. However it's still a reasonable distance. The only other negative I can think of is that not everyone always picks up after their dogs. It isn't that much of a problem though. I personally always pick up after my dog, and there are doggy bags placed throughout the grounds. Overall I have enjoyed Stone Gate Apartments and don't have any real complaints. Everything for me has been a great experience!

I first moved in and LOVED the apartment complex. But then after a year I started hating it. I started to notice all of the things wrong, for instance the property manager is very unprofessional. The complex makes cookies throughout the day for visitors but when the kids get off the bus from school she will hurry up and get all the cookies so they can hurry home. Trash is included. They are suppose to pick up your trash daily Monday-Friday, but well in the last almost year its becoming a weekly thing that they skip apartments for trash pickup. rent is WAY higher then it should be( I can be paying a mortgage payment). The pool is closed at least once every 2 weeks because something just happens to break. But when the Property Manager is off work she will go to the pool and walk in the clubhouse in her bikini when the leasing person is in the middle of giving tours. The maintenance men are proficient and fast when fixing things. Lets just say because of the property manager we WILL NOT be renewing our lease. I would not recommend any of my friends or family to move here.

I've lived here two years and it has been a very up happy experience. The apartment manager and very rude and talks down to everyone she speaks with and acts as if she is better than everyone. In the exercise room they got rid of the kids play room and put in a tanning bed, which makes it a little difficult in us parents. Parking is horrible because even though there's visitor parking they don't do anything about the visitors parking where they shouldnt. The water pressure is horrible and their maintenance workers just help themselves into your home without warning. Why spend over $1000 of your hard earned money for not being able to have your own privacy in your own home? I will be leaving soon because I can't take living here anymore. DO NOT MOVE HERE! I promise you won't be happy and I hope the owner of this place sees this. And if he does then I have something to say to you, get rid of Pam from the office and your residents will be happy to live here

The apartments were ok. When I moved in there was an issue with mold and the molding falling off but was fixed pretty fast. The carpet was also patched in several places. I had no other issues except for residents dogs pooping in front of the patio on the lawn and leaving it there. They would not inspect my apartment before I moved even though I asked but decided after I moved that I owed money.

I truly hesisitated on the day I signed my lease. I have never experienced such poor customer service and downright shady business. I have learned if you voice any concerns or issues you will be threatented to move out. Also, my girlfriend wrote a review about her experience and was refused any help due to her review. I do know that one of office girls has been asking tenants for good reviews so that the rating may go up. There are so many safer and organized places to support and be involved in. Would highly suggest to look elsewhere. Below is a list of further reasons.. Trash PickUp inconsistent and you will be penalized if they miss a night. Parking can be a real issue. (However, with so many trying to move out there may be more spots) Dog crab all over...this is not the good morning smell you want :-( Cold water and higher utility bills. Unprofessional staff and approach to concerns. (Resolution is to get you to move) Drive by shootings, and easy access inside facility. I have visited a lot of places on Fayetteville and more have a guard to double check who comes in. My neighbor was confronted and told he would be shoot if he reported his vehicles. Management did nothing. Please think long and hard about this place.

TERRIBLE, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!! I lived at Stone Gate for 2 1/2 years, this was the worst living experience I have ever had. The owner is a greedy money hungry uncaring person, the neighbors all hate each other, very noisy neighborhood during both the day and middle of the night, the police are called so much that they have to plead with the neighborhood to get along with one another, and the materials used to build the apartments are of extremely poor quality. The only reason I moved in to the neighborhood is because I am an active duty Army officer who was stationed at Fort Bragg. The only good things I can say about the apartment is that it is a short drive to work and that the neighborhood gym is pretty good for an apartment. Other than that I HATED LIVING THERE SO MUCH THAT I REQUESTED A DEPLOYMENT SO THAT I COULD BREAK MY LEASE AND MOVE AWAY FROM THAT TERRIBLE PLACE. Just to name a few specifics of why the neighborhood is so miserable. The owner charged me $150 for damage my pets caused to the carpet even though I had to pay a $500 non-refundable pet deposit (as it is stated in the lease). when I moved out the owner (----) told me that the pet deposit isn't actually a deposit its a fee despite the fact that my lease says its a deposit. Neighbors steal from each other, argue constantly, play loud music day and night, and have wild drunken parties in the middle of the night several days per week (including week days). Furthermore, though the apartment looks nice from the outside, the building materials are of poor quality and things are constantly breaking. The carpet and walls also off-gassed so much that I constantly had nasal congestion and my wife developed a severe medical condition from living there. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND MY WORST ENEMY LIVE AT STONE GATE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This place is horrible. Its turned into the ------ over night, because the staff is only worried about profit and being at max capacity. The staff (other than Torri, Mike & James) are absolute idiots. Pam, the property manager is the most disrespectful person I have ever met; she reveals her ignorance and low form of education with every word she speaks. The neighbors here are obnoxious without regard for anyone but themselves. There is a courtesy officer on the premises and the police are very active in the area; so that is one good thing! Other than that, my experience here has been terrible. When the apartment community first opened it was nice, but Fayetteville trash seems to dominate the area, with ------ rides, and explicit rap songs being played at max level. I even smell people smoking weed right next door to my apartment. Maintenance guys are OK, Except for the owners son, who seems as if he is payed only to exist. Do not move here!! You will be over charged to live amongst mostly trash.

The apartment complex is very close to the Butner Gate of Fort Bragg / Pope Army Airfield and the commute is minimal. The staff is very friendly and willing to work with you on any concern or maintenance request that you may have. Maintenance requests are done quickly and very well. Parking is convenient and spaces accomodate large pickup trucks as well. Rooms are spacious, and allow for over-sized furniture. Kitchens and bathroom countertops are marble, nice touch. Rent is reasonable for local area...with rent you have more ammenities than almost any other apartment complex within the local area. Definitely recommend checking Stone Gate Apartments out to potential renters or those stationed at the Installation.

After living at StoneGate apartments for 10months I must say this is by far the nicest apartment complex I have lived at in many years, the staff is always friendly and always willing to go the extra mile! They have continued to make my stay here very pleasant. Besides the occasional noisy neighbors I have not one dislike about this apartment complex! Thanks Stonegate staff and owner for being awesome!

Miserable experience! I regret ever moving to these terrible apartments. The owner is sooo cheap! The neighbors are loud and rude. When I first moved in my water heater wasn't working well. I could only get 10 minutes of hot water. Some days less. They couldn't fix it and the cheap owner didn't want to replace it so he told me to move out! Finally after my research since maintenance was no help.I had them turn the temp up on the tank and it got "better". The apartments are soo over priced. I have a friend who rents a house here for less than I pay. She has a 3 bedroom and a garage. I only have a 2 bed no garage. The neighbors in my building have loud party's every weekend outside in the building hallway and your bedroom wall is up against the hallway so you can hear everything. The walls are paper thin. There are no balconies which I believe creates a problem so everyone smokes and party's in the hallway entrances to your home. The cops are non stop being called on everyone in the neighborhood for the littlest reasons. One night I was vacuuming my house at 9:30pm and my neighbor called the cops on me over that! People are so high strung and angry around here because of Fort Bragg the littlest things set people off. One night me and my husband had a disagreement. It wasn't even a bad argument at all!Just a normal marital disagreement. 10 minutes later we had the cops banging on our door saying they were going to kick the door down! Then we let them in and they said they were going to report our argument to Fort Bragg! It's crazy here! You have to watch your back. The police are out to get you. Neighbors want to start cop calling wars. I even had a neighbor steal my trash can from in front of my door! When I reported it the management did nothing! They so called give you door to door trash service here also. But watch out for that as well. If you leave it out even 10 minutes past the designated time the management will take your can from you and charge you $25 to get it back. They hunt for it too cause the owner is always looking for extra ways to take your money. The whole neighborhood is really loud also. There is a car wash port in the back and almost day and night there is always someone over there blasting extremely loud foul mouth music. There's no escaping it. And when you go to the pool people bring there boom boxes and do the same there. Last but not least if you have allergies or not. You will not enjoy the carpet in the apartments. I have allergies but my husband does not he has a very strong immune system. But the carpet here is nasty. I do not know what they sprayed on it maybe some stain resistant chemical. Either way it makes you very sleepy and sickly feeling to breath in your own house. Every time we lay on the carpet we sneeze. We both grew up with carpet our whole lives, lived in many different apartments and never had this problems. The carpet is very unbreathable. It is common for us to wake up with swollen faces, sore throats, dry mouth, and tired all the time. But when we leave we start to feel good again. The carpet in these apartments is very toxic. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place. I was a horrible experience and I know other neighbors hate it here also.

Incredibly unprofessional and rude staff. Very condescending and slow to fix maintenance issues with the apartments. The extremely poor construction gave way to numerous issues which took several weeks to fix, leaving the apartment with holes and signs of half way finished and poorly managed construction work. Forced to pay the entire last month even though we will only be living at stone gate until the second because PCS orders were not presented on the first of the month prior to when I needed to leave. Highly recommend finding a different place to live.

I am a resident at stone gate apartments and loved living there when I first moved in. The staff is friendly except the property manager. She is has a habit of getting too "involved" with other residents and honestly it's a little unprofessional. All other staff members are very friendly...sometimes too friendly and seems a little invasive. I think that this would be an awesome place to live if they hired a new property manager and didn't charge an arm and leg for rent. The apartments are nice on the inside but they don't install light fixtures in any of the bedrooms. The grounds are very nice and well kept. Their pet policy is ridiculous. They charge you a large non refundable pet deposit plus pet rent. They do not allow certain breeds to vacate the apartment. I just think its over priced, very strict, and don't really offer what they advertise. Free cable, water, sewer and trash is not really free. It's included in rent and they hardly ever pick up your trash. If you are looking for an apartment, don't be fooled by the appearance. It's really not worth what you pay.

I recently moved out of Stonegate after living there for 9 months. I was military and, consequently, moved frequently. I have lived in 7 apartment communities in as many years and I have to say that Stonegate was an above average experience. The staff in the front office was always friendly and helpful, their hours were convenient, and the maintenance staff was always respectful. Personally, I had a significant issue when I moved out due to my mistake in filling out the move out form- the owners and the staff (thank you Pam and Tori) could have easily claimed "your fault, your problem", but they didn't. They went out of their way to accomodate me and I am truly thankful. As a caveat, the town of Spring Lake may disappoint, but the convenience, quality and staff at Stonegate make up for it. I would recommend this apartment community to military/civilians working at Fort Bragg.

I chose Stone Gate Apartments after knowing "nothing much" about the area at all I was moving to from out of state. After viewing 7 different apartment complexes I found Stonegate's staff, management, availability, and grounds to exceed far above the rest. Spring Lake is not the best area but the property itself offers an oasis that becomes your home. You feel safe, you are reassured you are safe, and the management as well as the multiple police officers that live in the building and man the premises have been a sense of comfort and phone call away at any need. Maintenance calls are answered incredibly efficiently and you are always aware of when someone has entered your apartment, why, and the outcome. You couldn't be closer to Ft. Bragg unless you lived on post and Wal Mart is just a stone throw down the road. Apartments are modern and require more than what you need to set up a home. I also really appreciate the way the owner and management try to create a community with holiday events, resident functions, and take time to address you on a personal level. If you are looking for a building with comfort, promise, and people to count on, this is definitely your property. Though we have recently only moved because of the need for a yard for our high energy puppy, I am inspired by what Stone Gate tries to bring to the Spring Lake area and would highly recommend the property.

We lived in the complex for 11 months, and recently moved to a larger home. We had an amazing experience and these are by far some of the nicest apartments in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area. Sometimes Spring Lake has a bad reputation, but these apartments are nestled in the back area of town and are there are security gates for anyone concerned. They are beautiful apartments, well maintained, and the staff is extremely friendly. Another thing to point out is that the price for rent is all-inclusive of many utilities, we paid for internet and electricity (they even have cable!!), and also offer a washer and dryer in each apartment. I feel that this place is a great value for all that you get! We were in a 1500ish square foot 3-bedroom with a sunroom, and all the added perks, and for $1100ish that is a STEAL! :) We loved our stay in these apartments and you will too!! :)

I lived at Stone Gate Apartments for the last one year and I was surprised to read the comments being made by others. They rate the apartments high in all areas and then they have the nerve to NOT recommend them? I learned in the army to speak my mind and the place being buit for the military, I am going to say it now. THIS IS THE PLACE TO LIVE IF YOU ARE AT BRAGG. The office personnel is great and the maintenance is done on time and they care about me and my family. For those of you who think this is not the place to live I am glad that you are leaving or have left. As for the pet issue (for the person who claims that they go overboard) if you lived at places that allow pets to become a problem then you would be glad that they send letters out. When I get my letter on my door I know that I am not the problem so I don;t worry about it........ There I said my statement.

I love these apartments the first time I saw them. The staff and manager assisted me with everything I needed especially me being a single service member preparing for my deployment. Even while I was deployed they reserved an apartment for me upon my return. I think the area is safe and quite and it is ideal for professional people with a small family.

Stone Gate is a beautiful place to live. I lived there last year and moved out due to a deployment. I moved into a different location upon return from deployment. I regret not returning to Stone Gate. I will move back to Stone Gate as soon as my current lease is expired. The apartment is kept very secure due to gates, cameras, and constant patrolling from police and security. This is important to me because I am in the military and feel more comfortable knowing that my family is being looked after. The apartments themselves are modern and extremely nice. The staff is very friendly and eager to work with the residents. The worst comment that I saw about Stone Gate is from somebody saying that they are offended that Stone Gate is constantly addressing the cigarette butts and dog feces. Really? Having lived in other locations, I really appreciate the fact that the staff works so hard to keep the grounds clean.

My husband (military) and I have lived here for going on two years (since moving in we also had kids and a pet). Yes, the apartment it a bit more pricy for Fayetteville but you are paying for convenience if you work on base. My rent has not gone up so there were no unseen fees. It is a high end apartment, water and cable are paid for, and the large pool and gym are well kept. The area is not the best but inside the gates are not a problem. We have had solicitors before (when we first moved in) but we reported them to the owners and have not seen any solicitors since. Parking is not 100% but I only have issues with finding a place directly in front of my apartment after 7:00pm on a week night. Even then, I can park very close, it's just not right in front. It should be said that parking is not the greatest because the complex has storage units you can rent (garage size) which is not something I see at most apartment complexes. I love the staff. Always friendly. They know you by name. And they care enough about the community life to have monthly events - including free pictures with Santa this month. The staff does a great job with the upkeep of the landscape. Occasionally you find areas with cig butts on the ground but, I hate to say it, their will be disrespectful tenants everywhere you go. From another post I saw, it looks like the owners do try to do something about it though. I really like this place and feel that it is worth the money we pay.

I am a past resident, and I'm looking forward to returning to Stone Gate after my spouses deployment. The staff is always friendly and helpful! It's extremely convenient to have a washer and dryer already in the apartment. My electric bill there was so much cheaper than what I am paying now. I'm amazed at all these poor reviews because I didn't have any trouble there at all! The closeness to Ft Bragg is a huge time saver too! Can't wait to move back in!

I'm currently a resident 18dec2012 and "some"of the staff is really nice. Very safe apartments. Only thing I have a problem is the way they address you About your dog fecesi always pick up after my dog yet you will feel like they are directing it to you. I'm a respectful smoker also yet others are flicking cigarette butts every where so I get letters saying that I will be fined If it persists. I get enough crap from the army so i would like to not feel like a ---- bag in my personal space. These apartments are new but they didn't think that no one owns a 32" tv any more so you have this really nice fire place with a ugly black Cable ruining the look of your modern apartment. Zero parking if you get home after 1700. This apartment is what you make of it but what your really paying for is marble countertops and security. I will not renew my lease.
