Nothing about my apartment is luxurious. Neighbors leave trash out front of doors for days. The price of rent is not worth it for the apartment you will get. The building I was in was quiet. Leasing office will raise your rent drastically even thought you have been a good tenant for two years. They will offer to "help" you with the rent increase but then do nothing until the day your lease expires and still force you to pay a ridiculous rate increase.

      At first, this place was great. Kind and approachable staff, always cleaned up, the gates were closed when they said they would be, and maintenance needs were met. Now, the trash is overflowing every week which I can smell in my building. The dog park is full of waste and the waste bin is constantly overflowing. There is also siding coming off the garages and falling into the dog park leaving metal exposed which is dangerous. Not only has the main gate been stuck open for months but it has now been torn down. The side exit gate is broken most of the time and working only a handful of times in the last few months. I've brought all of these issues up numerous times in person and over the phone and been assured they will be taken care of but NONE of it has been taken care of. Each time I bring something up the tell me they didn't know or that they are working on it but that answer just isn't working anymore.

        I needed a place to put all my stuff and my wife and my kid so I found this place and did aaaaaaaaaaallllll the paperwork so I could move in and just want to be left alone in peace so I can focus on taking care of my wife and child. Btw requiring a minimum for a section that is already required seems like a pain

          It was a smooth and easy process. I did have to wait to get moved in, since they had to go and clean the carpet. It was overall clean. There were a few minor things that could be touched up. But overall I would give it a 4.5/5 for an easy experience.

            I'm extremely frustrated and stressed about the situation with my move-in. I applied on August 2nd, but I never received a welcome letter or any communication outlining the steps I needed to take. As a result, I was blindsided by upfront moving charges, utility applications, and fees that I was never informed about. It put me under a great deal of pressure trying to figure out how to come up with the money on such short notice. As a member of the military, it's especially frustrating because now I have to wait to get reimbursed after I get paid. This entire experience has been incredibly unprofessional on the part of the staff. Even though the agent who was present tried to help, the overall lack of communication and support put me through an unnecessary amount of stress over the past two weeks. It's unacceptable and has made this entire process far more difficult than it should have been.

              Some staff are not welcoming, and my job request has still not been resolved, but overall, it's a nice place to live. It's peaceful and safe for the family to live with. In addition, the ambiance is cozy.

                    There is only one dumpster for the entire complex. The gates often don't work. There are often bugs. The carpet is old, stained, and dirty. The appliances are old and don't work well. There are a growing number of untagged/ unused cars collecting in the parking lot. There are a lot of feral cats in the complex.

                            I just want to say that Ant is amazing. He is very professional and detailed as well. He answered all me and my sisters questions.. We literally were heading to another appointment at another property but we turned around and came back and toured another unit at this property. That’s how good the conversation and knowledge was with Ant. 10 stars to ant and this property.

                              I've always had positive experiences when looking online for housing. The o my bad thing is that every unit charges for a background check and application fee and sometimes you dont get the place. Very frustrating at times.

                                  Don't move in here. Office staff have an attitude (some). The new maintenance is great though. Ac break all of the time, overpriced rent. Office won't listen to you. Broken down cars in the parking lot. They lost my rent and told me they'll evicted me even after admitting that they had it.

                                    I like leaving here. Neighbors are friendly. The maintenance men keep up the grounds as best they can. The rental often is very helpful. Once I put work order in, they get 2 it in a reasonable amount of time.

                                      The staff and manager were amazing with working hard to get me in by the date I needed. Every phone call (I blew there phones up) they answered and guided me through every step of the way to make sure it was an easy and stress free process for me. Very quiet and peaceful. The apartment is amazing, very spacious. Definitely recommend

                                        The apartment is spacious, and the layout is acceptable. Staff is friendly enough and professional. Most tenants seem to be military and keep to themselves, no noisy parties or anything (but the walls are somewhat thin). My biggest complaints are that the security gates are broken open half the time (rendering them pointless), and there is often dog feces dotted everywhere. Normally, I'd blame the dog owners for this, but I've noticed that the staff has not refilled the dog bags for a while and also take a couple weeks to empty the pet trashcans around the facility causing some spill over. Gross.

                                          While I regret choosing to live at Village on the Lake when my wife and I moved to Spring Lake, I do hope to stay here for another year or so (until we have to move again). It's simply not worth the hassle of moving again so soon. But we do not enjoy living here. While management has gotten significantly better since we first moved in, and all of the staff are incredibly friendly, the pricing of these apartments are far too high for the poor infrastructure and amenities provided. The trash is frequently not taken out or left to pile into a literal mountain by the dumpster, I have a pay a monthly fee for a garage that barely works (regarding the power and the door/opener), the A/C frequently goes out or just doesn't work well (although maintenance is quick to respond if it gets too unbearable), and the list goes on. We like having a place to live, and we don't want to leave any time soon, but we wish it wasn't here. Or at least we wish we got what we paid for considering the price of rent.

                                            The apartment complex location is relatively clean, and the complex is relatively safe. I, however, have had several poor experiences here, the first being when i showed up. I was told my apartment would be ready on a certain date, moved across the country, and arrived to be told my apartment wouldnt be ready but i could move into a handicap unit instead. Since then i have had several issues with work orders not being completed, and overall what seems to be a disconcern for tenants. This is extremely frustrating considering my rent has been raised over 50% in 2 years. I am looking forward to moving out.

                                              So far neighbors seem nice and respectable enough. There were quite a few problems upon the first couple weeks moving in, but all have been remedied by now. Only thing I noticed that wasn't great was how messy the gym was and how there seems to be trash scattered about either from other residents not caring, or perhaps trash that had fallen during trash pick up. Otherwise, for the price in the list economy, it's a pretty solid place.
