Great management in helping me when I needed to get my dryer fixed. They had maintenance come over the day I called and it was fixed the same day. The complex is a wonderful place to live with family.

As an international teacher I feel safe and protected in this gated community. This community has ensure that tenants have internet and cable without the hassle. Relocating to a new country and life was made easy and comfortable. The staff were very helpful in securing my apartment prior to me getting to the country. They were so helpful that I recommended two other teachers to live in this gated community. The parking is limited though especially at my building. If I get home after 5pm I'm sure to not find a parking spot close to my apartment building. I think there should be a section for visitor's parking. If they don't have a parking tag on their windscreen, they shouldn't be parked at a building. Also cars that are not in service taking up parking spots at buildings.

Apartment homes are old and unkempt, customer service is poor (office staff/maintenance), Very dissatisfied and am planning to move. There are new owners so I can only hope that they will make the necessary changes to give all residents what they are paying for. The 2nd phase apartments seem to be in better condition , at least from the outside looking in but the older apartments are just that OLD!

Aside from being able to hear everything above you, the community is very nice! There are a lot of pet owners for your dog to interact with! Most of the people staying here seem very pleased with the apartments and the management.

The apartment complex, like all others, have its issues like residents throwing trash on the ground, or not picking up after their animals. Grounds upkeep needs work, and the constant changes with trash service companies should come with an updated flyer on what they will and will not accept and, the time of pick up. Also, they should have to clean up after themselves. Lastly, I've had the same complaint about the refrigerator for months and I keep getting letters/notices that nothing is wrong. I should not be able to see the light radiating from inside the refrigerator when the door is completely shut. As a matter of fact, the light should not be on at all. My items on the door should not spoil due to an improper seal.

It is amazing, i love this place. Me and my wife are so happy to live here. The staff made it very easy on move in day as soon as we got here. Our dog was allowed in the office with us, and the paperwork process was fast and easy!

From the day I called the apartment they were very friendly and more than willing to help me in my process in finding a new place to live. Although I had not seen the place for myself, their website was very well organized and it was easy to see what I was signing up for. On the day I visited the leasing office, they were very professional and had a sense of humor as we quickly but thoroughly went through the lease with me. They had a good system set up where you would have to finish your move-in inspection check sheet before they would give you your mail box key. They also make sure your mailbox has a different number than your apartment number for security reasons. They have a pool which is accessible during the better seasons of the year. They also have a small gym, where if you are creative enough with your exercises, you can get your workout in. They are also a gated community which is great. They also do not allow solicitors [even girl-scouts :( ] but at least it means there aren't people who will harass you about unnecessary things you don't want to buy. The phase II apartment which I signed up for includes, water, cable, internet, and even valet trash. Every weekday they have someone come to your door to pick up your trash from your trash can. If you have too much trash that the valet can't pick up, they also have a trash compactor you can take your trash yourself to. During the month I submitted my application, they had a special offer of a waived application fee and a 5% discount on the monthly rent. From what they tell me, their promotions change all the time, so don't be too hopeful about this same offer ;). They have a clubhouse inside their leasing office with a computer that is readily accessible connected to a printer. They also have coffee and a fireplace. The complex is only 10 minutes away from Fort Bragg so it is also great for military service members such as myself. Overall, this is the best apartment complex I have had the pleasure of living in. You should definitely come check it out.

I just moved to Alaska after spending the last 2 years at village on the lake. I enjoyed every moment. The staff was always courteous and joyful to be around. During both the tornado threat and hurricane Matthew the village maintained power with almost no interruptions. The location was high enough that we had no issues with flooding. The lake is beautiful and full of large and small mouth bass, crappie, carp, bluegill and grass pikerill.

We lived here a little over a year in Phase 2 a 2x2 then Phase 1 a 3x2. Phase 2 is much nicer than Phase 1. Our apartment in Phase 1 had a broken fridge that the seal never got fixed correctly and the showers were moldy even after letting maintenance know. The carpet was also old in Phase 1 but they were going to replace that. Overall both sides are nice, but I would prefer Phase 2 just because everything in it is new and updated. Leslie in the office is awesome and really made us love Village on the Lake!

Awesome apartment complex. Quiet, clean, the staff was excellent. Whenever I had and issue (2 over the 2 year period, it was solved without any hesitation. I would live here again if I ever move back to this area. Compared to the other apartments I've lived in this rate by far in the top5 percent.

VOTL had everything I was looking for - quiet neighborhood, great fitness center, affordable and comfortable rooms, and a fantastic staff!! Maintenance personnel were always timely and professional. They will work with you during deployments, they helped me get a room while I was in Iraq and I couldn't have been happier with the level of customer care and service I received!! I definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I moved in here in Dec, 2014 when he got stationed at Ft. Bragg. After 18 months, we are sad to be leaving as we very much enjoyed our time at VOTL! We had an apartment on the ground floor, it provided us plenty of room. We really enjoyed the amenities (dog park, lake, gym, pool, car wash) and the staff, maintenance and property managers, we always very nice and prompt to take care of our work orders. My only issue was that pet rules weren't really enforced. My husband and I were approached multiple times by at least 3 different tenants' dogs who were not leashed while walking ours. Thankfully, ours aren't aggressive and none of the instances led to an issue. We've also come across tenants who take their aggressive dogs to the dog park - not allowing us or others to utilize the space. Overall, I would definitely recommend to someone looking for a nice apartment community to live.

Have lived here for a year while stationed at Bragg. Moving to MD for work. If it weren't for that, my wife and I would be staying. Best apartment complex I've lived in while stationed here for 5 years. One of the nicest places for what you pay and they're a dime a dozen between Fayetteville and Spring Lake. VOTL staff has always fulfilled maintenance requests in a timely manner, held packages while I've been away training, and are always respectful. Leslie, the assistant property manager is the best! She's responded to my emails promptly and always answered questions I may have. The place I'm moving to has some big shoes to fill and I dont know if I'll ever have the pleasure of dealing with Leslie and the staff here at VOTL.

I have lived here for the past 3 years and I absolutely love it. The Manager, Ms. Karri Clark, is the best. She tries her best to accommodate you and actually cares about you. The staff is excellent and you cannot find a better Maintenance crew. Any issue I had was resolved the same day and sometimes 5 minutes after I called in a work order. You will not go wrong choosing Village on the Lake.

I am totally satsified with the Village on the Lakes apartment complex!!! The staff is amazing, (especially Lauren, Heather & DeAna) and the maintenence crew is fast and proficient, and the property is absolutely to die for!!! Beautiful land scaping, clean gyms, three elegant swimming pools, what else could you ask for?!? I recommend this property to anyone in the Clear Lake area, or looking to move this way!!!

I love this place. If there was a Village on the Lake in every town I've been in I would've been completely satisfied all along because they have everything you need. I used to scoff at the idea of living in a gated community but when I saw how much quieter and private it is, not to mention more secure, I changed my mind completely. The staff are great to include the maintenance people as well as the leasing office. They've always responded quickly and helped me get what I needed. If you're moving to Village on the Lake from heaven it probably won't seem all that great but if you live in the real world I'm sure this will be a nice place no matter who you are. I only gave them 4 stars on construction because I think concrete or metal stairs would have been better than wood but only because the wood is literally impossible to walk quietly on. It's not even that bad but if you'd rather be as unobtrusive to your neighbors as possible you might find that difficult, otherwise I say 5 stars on everything else.

BUGS...?!! Really whoever wrote that is obviously not a tenant or they happen to be 1 out of the 2000 apartment units that are in the community. I can tell, from me residing in the Arbors, that there were hardly any bugs, with the exception of the good o'le Georgia waterbugs that are everyone in GA. (you simply can't hide from them) I may have had 4 within a year.... SO anywhoo enough about that, and now it's time to get to the real review. The Pros: I absolutely loved the community. My neighbors were nice. Amenities were great. The staff was even great and had very very fast turnarounds on work order. The apartment itself was mediocre. However, being that I really like the place, I was able to overlook the outdated apartment. Cons: The walls are thin!!! If you have loud neighbors... well you SOL. They are that thin. However, luckily my neighbor and I had developed a good relationship and we were very mindful of how loud we were. The gate. - Sometimes the gate can be a pest because you may have to stay in a long line just to get home. Most important CON: MOVING OUT AND GOING THROUGH THE FINAL WALK THROUGH IS MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT. In my unit there was no damage to the walls, carpert, or anything major....However, when they did the walk through they pulled up the carpet to observe the carpet and padding underneath (WHO DOES THAT?!! When you move in do you ever pull up the carpet to observe the padding for your new apartment? NO) So my point is this, the complex wants to charge a pro-rata amount of $500 for the remaining life expectancy of the carpet, apparently for dog urine; literally one spot. (Now mind you I do have a dog, so I do accept the fact that an accident or two may have occurred from my dog. But please know that my dog is house broken and crate trained and does not have free range inside of a house). So again my point again, if I was responsible in causing damage, I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM PAYING, but I truly believe they are pulling wool over there tenants eyes, esp when it is time to move out.... I mean, it's obvious that they do not replace the carpet based them telling me they are charging a PRO-RATA amount FOR THE REMAINING LIFESPAN of the carpet, so who really knows if the stains were there before me. I don't. I was never told or advised to look at the carpet padding or underneath the carpet... Excuse my french but this is some Bulls****!!! So for this reason alone, I say NO TO THE COMPLEX. The amenities are great and you can truly meet some really nice people, but I think they are a ripoff. THAT S WHY YOU PAY $500 PET DEPOSIT. SO PLEASE READ THE OTHER REVIEWS - APPARENTLY THIS COMPLEX IS KNOWN TO NICKEL AND DIME YOU WHEN YOU MOVE OUT). Wish you guys all the luck with you apartment search!!

My partner and I relocated to Spring Lake 1st June 2013. We had complete alot of research on the area and decide to set up home in Village on the Lake. Totally the right decision!!!! We really enjoy the safe and relaxed complex environment. The staff are family oriented and very committed to ensuring residents are satisfied with their apartment complex. If you have any issues, they are very quick to resolve them. Additionally, they go out of their way to ensure holidays are celebrated so even the many soldiers who are away from family or wives who's husbands are deployed have someone to celebrate with and not be alone. They always include activities for children and are considerate of working schedules to promote max participation. The lake is well maintained and is a wonderful place to relax. I don't think many apartment complexes can compete with Village on the lake. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jenny for all her help and support since I moved here in June, I highly recommend Village on the Lake to anyone relocating to Fort Bragg or Pope Airforce Base.

I lived at the Villages on the Lake Apartments for 2-1/2 yrs while in the military and just recently relocated to FL; it was the best apartment living experience I've ever had, ever!! The team there are always pleasant and provide excellent customer service. The maintenance team keep the grounds immaculate, put lots of attention to detail and pride in everything they do. The manager, Karri, ensures the rules and regulations are followed by all residents and keeps everything running smoothly. The location is great for all folks who work on Fort Bragg; it took me 8 minutes in the morning to get to work, and the neighborhood is very quiet. The apartments are very spacious and additional storage is available. I give Village on the Lake apartments a 10 and highly recommend it.
